“In the same way let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven.”
– Matthew 5:16
When we are in the mists of the valleys of our lives, there are people who have walked that valley before us. Many will shine a light for you to see where you are going as you walk in the valley. Those are people I call my lighthouses.
No matter where we are in our valley, we can be a lighthouse for those around us.
In this episode of Life on Faith and Fumes, I share who or what our lighthouses are, how to find the right ones, and see the good from bad ones, as well as how we can be a lighthouse to others.
It does not matter what your valley is or how you got there. Some beautiful people were once where you are, and they are your lighthouses!
It does not matter what you have been through in your life, and you are a lighthouse to someone else, so I encourage you to shine your light on those in the dark.
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.
We all carry parental guilt with us. But can that guilt be a good thing? What can we do with guilt that weighs on our hearts when our children are grown? There is nothing we can do to change those things we messed up or didn't do the way we think we should have done.
What if you didn't train them up with a strong Christian background? Is it too late?
Are your children still young? Can you learn from my regrets? Maybe you can learn from the regrets of other parents.
I would love to hear your parenting stories.
