Our mission: to positively impact the world by inspiring students to reach their full potential through mentoring. It takes a TEAM to inspire youth, so how can we do it? Join football legend and TeamMates co-founder, Dr. Tom Osborne, TeamMates CEO and motivational speaker, DeMoine Adams, and Gallup Certified Manager, Hannah Miller, as we walk through our strengths-based approach to mentoring a team of leaders.
In honor of National Mentoring Month, we have a special episode of We Over Me for you starring four Iowa TeamMates mentors!
These four graciously shared their amazing stories with us during our time together, and they truly are an inspiration!
These mentors are simply an outlet for our pride of being a reflection of YOU!
In honor of National Mentoring Month 2024, we present you with a We Over Me special interview with guests DeMoine Adams and his mentee, Malachi Hopkins. The pair joined Hannah Miller to talk about their journey together as mentor and mentee, why they are truly a reflection of each other, and why we are such a PROUD reflection of them!
Welcome back to WE OVER ME!
This week is very special because it is our last regular episode of season one of We Over Me! For this bittersweet moment, we were joined by David, Alayna, and Hannah as they read and chatted about different mentee stories. Mentors don't always get the opportunity to hear the impact they are making from their mentee, so we decided to change that. These mentee accounts are just the boost we needed, and the effect that is displayed within them is everything we hope for.
We want to give a huge thank you to each and every one of you for making the first season of We Over Me so special. We will see you at the season finale live show in July!
As always, please continue to, and thank you for #BeingThere
Welcome back to We Over Me!
On this week's episode, we were gladly joined by two experienced mentors who have been able to get the opportunity to have mentees in our 3-12 program, as well as our awesome, post-secondary, TeamMates + program!
Angee and Tricia discuss the differences between mentoring a student in grades 3-12 and mentoring a post-secondary student through TeamMates +, and what makes each awesomely unique. They also share with us with their personal stories and experiences of their own mentoring journeys. Stay to the end to hear the homework and thought they leave you with!
As always, thank you so much for #BeingThere ❤️
Welcome back to WE OVER ME!
As we enter the last month of our regularly scheduled episodes, we wanted to share a very special one with you today!
Three amazing mentors, DeMoine, Allyson, and Hannah, came together to share their stories about mentoring, what has impacted them the most, and why mentoring matters in their eyes.
We were also gifted with the opportunity to give space for a bittersweet message from our very own, Allyson, about her journey. Allyson, you are the epitome of mentorship, and we know you are going to continue making lasting impacts on the world while on your new path.
Mentoring truly is who we are, and that begins with the act of being there, so from all of us to you, thank YOU and continue to #BeThere. ❤️
Welcome back to WE OVER ME!
This week, three of our awesome Regional Coordinators (RCs), Lisa, Tiffany, and Angee, took the time to get down to the nitty gritty about what it is like being in the role of a Regional Coordinator. Our RCs cover a TON of ground, and they take care of a lot of chapters. They love being a part of their communities, and so greatly appreciate when they get the opportunity to be a part of yours!
We truly could not be the kind of organization we are without our superhuman Regional Coordinators and all they do to better our program.
Our RCs are the physical representation of "Be There", and we thank you for #BeingThere, too! ❤️
Welcome back to We Over Me!
On this week's episode, we were joined by two previous Program Coordinators (PCs), Tiffany & Kristin! These two were inspired by their past roles of being PCs, so they had no trouble sharing that passion with each other for us to listen to as they dove into what it is that Program Coordinators do and how important they are!
We have such an appreciation for our Program and Building Coordinators, and even though we try, we can't put our love for our them into words. These special, chapter cheerleaders are the light that sparks the magic between matches, and our program wouldn't be possible without them!
Think about who in your life is your personal program coordinator, and let them know how much you appreciate them!
As always, thank you SO much for #BeingThere. We wouldn't be here without you! ❤️
TeamMates Mentoring is not just for students in grades 3-12, we also offer our forever-friend opportunities to post-secondary students! Our TeamMates + program is one we hold close to our hearts, and we love the memories we get to make with the amazing, new adults who take part in this journey with us.
In this episode, we were joined by two amazing TeamMates + mentors and staff members, Hannah & Michele, along with one of our awesome recruiters, David! This trio sat down to talk about their own college experiences, to give some advice they have for students, and where their paths within TeamMates + have taken them.
As always, thank you for #BeingThere ❤️
TRAINING, TRAINING, TRAINING! Here at TeamMates, we rely on depend on our training services to make our program as amazing, safe, and comfortable as possible!
Two of our trainers came together to take a deep dive into what training means to them, and how important it is through their own eyes and experiences.
Stay tuned for the end to hear about the homework Tori and Sara leave you to think about!
As ALWAYS we thank you so much for #BeingThere ❤️
A couple of our amazing Strategic Thinkers joined together to dig deeper into the power of this domain! This wonderful domain of #StrategicThinking is the perfect discussion to wrap up our closer looks into the Clifton Strengths Domains, and Allyson and Susie make the perfect pair to get the job done.
Stay tuned for the end of the episode for your homework and something for you to take away!
As always, we appreciate each and every one of you, and we thank you for #BeingThere ❤️
Welcome back to WE OVER ME!
On this month's episode with Tom, DeMoine, and Hannah, they sit down to talk about what we know as the backbone of who we are: The Communities! We would not be the program that we are so very proud of being without those in our communities who share the passion for our mission, vision, and values. We are so grateful for our students, RCs, PCs, BCs, Board Members, parents and guardians, and so many more people who make TeamMates work.
Share what your favorite part of our TeamMates' communities are! As always, from us to you, thank you for Being There!
Tori and Allyson sit down to dig deeper in the MAGIC of Relationship Building Strengths in this week's episode of WE OVER ME! With the relationship building superpowers that these two hold, there is nobody better we could have asked to get together to dissect this awesome domain of strengths.
In the conclusion of their discussion, they leave you with two things to think about:
"Think about how your strengths help you build relationships."
"Think about who in your life is great at relationship building."
Thank you so much for #BeingThere
Allyson and Angee come together to dive deeper into the Influencing Domain of Gallup Strengths. Everyone has influential power inside of them, and this double A duo helps us further understand how that can come to light for good! They leave you with something to think about as they close out their discussion, what strengths or good things do you want to be remembered for? As always, thank you for being there!
Hannah, DeMoine & Tom sat down to talk about the importance that training has in our program. We have New Mentor Training, Ongoing Mentor Training, Mentor Training refreshers, and Mentee Training, and all are vital to the match relationship between Mentor and Mentee! We are also entering #MentorMadness, so your homework for this week's episode is to nominate a mentor! Thank you for being there!
