If you are running your own business or the MD of a business you will know that you are on your own when your making decisions. You can get all the input from your team, all the ideas, and different options, but when a decision has to be made it is you who has to make it. Not all business owners and MD's can do that.
Some times it is ok to call it as it is and tell people things are not great. If business is not great well than tell someone because it may help.
Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on. It could be your mentor or coach or partner in life or business but we all need someone when can unload to. Someone who does not judge us. Someone who will listen and yes, sometimes agree with us. But also, someone who can be honest with us and tell us how they see it and someone who you will allow to tell you how they see it. Someone who has the courage to say to us give up or move on or grow up or keep going.
One of the hardest things we face when running our own business is getting motivated. It is easy when business is going well but when it is not it takes real effort to be motivated and stay motivated
