A man can't even dig up a 50 million year old fish anymore without getting fact-checked by a guy named BigTruck88 in the comments. So tonight we're flipping it around. July 4th, 2026 is America's 250th birthday. Two and a half centuries since the Declaration of Independence was signed and the whole experiment got started. The cigar world is as deep as it is wide. The people who get started in cigars are often taken back by this! There’s a whole dictionary of interesting and peculiar terms that come with the cigar lifestyle.
During this episode, we will be discussing many of these terms. Some are Spanish words, others are english, and some are a crazy mix of the two. Regardless of where the term comes from, we’re here to straighten it out tonight. I know a lot of these myself, but of course I have the Cigars Daily LIVE Crew to help me along the way.

A set of songs that is recognized and revered among listeners.In the cigar world, there is no such thing as a platinum album, but we do have the annual release of the Top 25 Lists. These are lists compiled by cigar publications, vloggers, bloggers, and whole cigar communities. Almost every year, I make a video blasting these lists and the cigars they choose. There are cigars with aged leaf, and then there are aged cigars. They’re two VERY different things. You hear about them out there in the wild. There are lots of cigars with blends that tout aged leaf. Sometimes the leaf is aged 5, 10, even 15 years. And those are considered desirable among aficionados. Then there are the aged cigars. Perdomo’s 30th Anniversary is a whale of a limited production cigar! In addition to draw testing every cigar in the 30th Anniversary line, Nick Perdomo has aged the wrappers for a mammoth 15 years, and finished them in charred bourbon barrels!
