Not on This Occasion is Hosted by Knoll & Delaney. F1 is the fastest and most well-known motorsport around the world. Recently it has captured the attention of the young motorsports market settled in the USA, and it has absolutely dominated the motorsports headlines! Here at Not on This Occasion, we aim to give a unique opinion on the news and drama surrounding the F1 Calendar. It isn’t always classy, and it isn’t always elegant, but here at NOTO, it is always the true thoughts and opinions of what the motorsports world thinks about each Grand Prix. For 2023 the regular topic is Max Verstappen and Red Bull, but if there is one thing that we all know about F1, it is that you never truly know what is going to happen, and that is always what makes motorsports so great. So, tune in and enjoy (maybe laugh too) Not on This Occasion!
Max Verstappen has returned, we were all wondering if Red Bull's struggles from Singapore would continue, and they did not... That's ok though, because this week F1 was in JAPAN, one of our favorite spots on the F1 world tour!
This episode starts off a bit differently as Knoll reads part of an F1 fanfiction that he wrote, will Delaney enjoy it and find it funny, or will she hate it so much that they have to end the podcast.
Then of course we have the race itself:
These are just some of the topics we explore on this fantastic episode of Not on This Occasion, host by Knoll & Delaney!
Check us out!
Apologies for the delay on this one, there has been some sickness going around and it got us both.
It’s finally time to talk about the Singapore Grand Prix, and with that, the end of the Red Bull consecutive win streak. For the first time since Austria last year, Ferrari are on the top step of the podium!
Red Bull didn’t just lose this race, they were kind of nowhere all weekend, which was not what anyone would have expected from the team that has won all 15 races so far.
We will be discussing not only what this loss means for Red Bull but also the incredible performance by Carlos Sainz, and his amazing use of DRS as well as his Bromance partner Lando Norris.
We hope you all enjoy this episode of Not on This Occasion!

Today is a very special day for Not On This Occasion, because today is the day we finally dive into Formula 1 Fanfiction!
Knoll & Delaney will be jumping into "Overtake My Heart" the Daniel Ricciardo fanfiction by Anita Driver, as well as her other "children's" books: "Stop Drop and Stroll" and "Charles Leclerc and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Monaco Grand Prix".
Delaney will also be introducing us to "The Dirty Air Series" and its first book "Throttled".
This is definitely a different topic from our usual episodes, but we think these books are something ever F1 fan should be familiar with, as they are jammed full of F1 references and GENUINE SPICEY DRAMA (kinda). So, sit back and enjoy this... unusual episode of Not on This Occasion!

The Italian Grand Prix is always one of the best races during the season, and this year was no exception. We had intense battles, near death experiences, and the return of the fantastic Alex "Chad" Albon. We all wondered if the "Monza Curse" was set to return this race, but alas, Red Bull and the Nico Rosberg curse were too strong...
The main topics today are:
So, join Knoll & Delaney for another thrilling episode of Not on This Occasion
Just like that, summer break is over, and Knoll & Delaney are back to discuss THE ABSOLUTLY CRAZY AND INTENSE DUTCH GRAND PRIXXX!! With 186 overtakes to boot, this year's trip to Zandvoort has provided us one of the most action packs and thrilling races of the season.
Oh yes, we also had the insane and unexpected continuation of the Daniel Ricciardo Experience. His return to Alpha Tauri has been temporarily cut short, and the new kid Liam Lawson found himself making his F1 debut in the craziest race of the year!
Max Verstappen has tied the all-time record with 9 wins in a row, can he hit 10 next week in Monza?
All of this and much more will be discussed by Knoll & Delaney on this fantastic, excellent, unbelievable, star-studded, EPIC, and breathtaking episode of Not on This Occasion!!!

Today is an episode that we have been planning on doing for a long time, we've hinted at it in previous episodes, dating back to the beginning of this podcast.
Today we are looking at the current landscape of the Women in motorsports, and the efforts by FOM and F1 management to create spaces for young women drivers to develop their skills, in hopes of one day competing more regularly in other series on the F1 ladder. We talk about the pros at cons of the W-Series and its successor F1 Academy and discuss whether these series are heading in the right direction and heading toward a bright future for women drivers and fans!
It wouldn't be a Not on This Occasion episode without a bit of drama, because we are also talking about Danica Patrick. Patrick recently made some interesting comments during the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, so it's finally time to break into that can of worms.
Join Knoll & Delaney for a discussion on a topic that is not only serious, but important to both of us!

It's time to wrap of the first half of the F1 season, today we will be discussing the Belgium Grand Prix from the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps!
Belgium has been a controversial stop on the F1 circus for the past few seasons, it is no doubt a classic circuit, but it is also a very dangerous and tricky track to get right. This time of year, the hills of Belgium are frequently visited by rain, and this race was no exception. Rain and Belgium don't go well together anymore, and so the question is... is it time to leave Belgium FOREVER!
Other topics discussed by Knoll & Delaney include:

After a slight break/delay, Not On This Occasion is back for Attempt #30!
Today is the Hungarian Grand Prix Episode, as per usual the biggest F1 news dropped a day after we recorded, so we weren't able to talk about the BIG Daniel Ricciardo news... until now! So today we are talking EXCLUSIVELY about Daniel Ricciardo, Nyck De Vries, and the whole AlphaTauri silly season. Were they too harsh on poor Nyck and what will Daniel be able to do in his new ride? As this episode is late, we will briefly talk about specifics from the Hungarian Grand Prix, but let's be honest, it wasn't a great race... However, there was still a newish qualifying format as well as a shock pole position from Knight himself... Thank you as always, see you in Belgium... which totally hasn't happened yet :)

Welcome back everyone, today it's the British Grand Prix, last year it was probably the best race of the season, and this year it certainly lived up to the hype. Today we will of course be talking about McLaren, who came out of nowhere and nearly put Lando Norris on the pole. Alex Albon and the whole Williams team knocked it out of the park and Aelx even beat both Ferrari's!! (They suck again)
We also discuss the insane off-track news, including the 2024 Schedule that recently came out, and of course, Daniel Ricciardo and Nyck De Vries. That story will certainly be the biggest story of the year, and it definitely not over yet.
As always, thank you all for listening and we will see you in Hungary!
Here we are folks, it's time for the 2023 Austrian Grand Prix! Austria is always a fun race, and this year is no exception, we have a whole list of topics coming out of not only the race, but the weekend as a whole.
Included on this episode:
We also briefly discuss IndyCar and Nascar on the streets of Chicago, it was a very big weekend for motorsports.
This was a very fun episode to record, and we think you will really enjoy it!
See you for the British Grand Prix!
RED ALERT! RED ALERT!
This is not a drill folks, one of the hosts of this podcast has gone completely insane! Knoll has become an F1 hater, and he will stop at nothing in his attempt to tear down and destroy the happy-go-lucky world of F1.
On today’s episode, Knoll & Delaney discuss the Canadian Grand Prix, but more specifically the race winner: Max Verstappen.
With 41 wins to his name, Max is now tied with the F1 legend Ayrton Senna. It is hard to believe, but Max has been in F1 for less than 10 years and he is already challenging records set by drivers like Senna, who is considered one of the GODS OF F1!! Knoll & Delaney discuss whether Max Verstappen will one day be considered the greatest driver in F1 history, as well as where his current string of success ranks among the best.
We also talk about some of the “great” moments from this recent race, including the Alex Albon 1-Stop Wonder Drive, and Lando Norris’ unsportsmanlike behavior penalty.
All this and much more of the episode of Not on This Occasion!
Will Delaney be able to stop Knolls destruction of the F1 fanbase?
Today is a first for the Not On This Occasion Podcast, today Knoll & Delaney are discussing a race that they attended IN PERSON!! This race being the IndyCar Grand Prix of Detroit. We will be discussing the unique fan experience as well as the intense race that went on right before our eyes.
Oh yeah… there was also an F1 race.
While the Detroit Grand Prix takes center stage for this episode, this is still an F1 podcast, so we do have a short discussion on some of the events surrounding Spain. Those events being: The Mercedes Upgrades, Charles Leclerc’s Horrible Weekend, Yuki Tsunoda’s time penalty, and a few other things.
Due to the extended discussion about Detroit, we missed a few F1 Stories that we will have to catch up on in the next episodes, such as the Aston Martin/Honda deal, as well as Haas and Alfa Romeo. Do not worry, we will cover those next time, but for now enjoy another unique episode of Not On This Occasion!

F1 makes its return to the glamorous streets of Monte Carlo where 20 drivers compete in the fastest parade in the world! Max Verstappen put on a clinic (as per usual), but he was not the only driver to make headlines. Knoll & Delaney will also discuss the brilliant drives from Fernando Alonso, Esteban Ocon, and even McLaren!
At the other end of the field was poor Sergio Perez, who had a miserable weekend, is his championship hope gone after just 6 races?
We will also briefly talk about the Indy 500, which also took place this past week. It had its fair share of red flag drama, and also a last lap pass after 500 grueling miles.
As always, thank you for your support!

Firstly, despite the jokes we absolutely hope the people of Emilia-Romagna can recover from this terrible disaster that they have faced in these past few weeks. We absolutely agree with this race being canceled and hopefully we will be able to return next year.
Today Knoll and Delaney will take this “break” to talk about some of the news that has dropped in the past few weeks. The ultimatum of Nyck De Vries and the unbelievable Lewis Hamilton x Ferrari rumors.
We dip our feet into the rabbit hole that is the Indianapolis 500 which is also running this weekend alongside the Monaco Grand Prix.
Lastly, we go over some of the teams that we think are struggling this season, teams that we haven’t been able to talk about as much because… well they suck…
Enjoy this… different episode of Not on This Occasion!

Welcome back everyone, today is our review of the 2nd annual Miami Grand Prix. Most of us can probably agree that Miami has failed to live up to the hype over the past few races. Today our discussion will focus on not just Miami, but why many races this season have failed to excite.
We also have a brief discussion on Charles Leclerc, who crashed multiple times over the weekend, many are now calling him out as a bad driver, but he is truly just trying to get everything out of his car.
Lastly, we have to reintroduction of Delaney's Drama Corner. A lot happened off track this weekend related to fans and influencers, and it is always fun to talk about the drama.
Still so much to talk about of this week's Not on This Occasion!
The unofficial F1 spring break is OVER, and now we head into an onslaught of races as summer begins. Today is our episode on the 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, which you may know... was pretty boring. Because of this, our main talking point for the episode is actually the sprint race and the new sprint format that Formula One Managment launched for this season. Have F1 finally got it right with the sprints or is it back to the drawing board (or the trash can) for the sprints.
We also cover the George Russell v Max Verstappen clash, and the insane pitlane moment that happened on the final lap of the race.
It is going to be an insane summer with so much content on all our platforms, so please give us a follow and shoot us a DM if you have any fun ideas for us!
It is a legend no one with forget, On April 14th, 2022, the first episode of Not on This Occasion was released to the world. It immediately broke every download record and became known as "The Greatest Podcast of all time." Now 1 year later Knoll & Delaney return to the very that first episode, and discuss its impact on the greater F1 community, and how it may very well have changed the way we as fans watch F1.
Ok, so the first episode is actually really bad... But we had a lot of fun talking about some of the crazy ideas we had for it, and also the messy production around it. This episode really isn't about F1, but fans will still enjoy hearing the story of Not on This Occasion!

Welcome back everyone to Not On This Occasion! In today's episode, we'll be diving deep into the 2023 Australian Grand Prix and discussing the MAJOR DRAMA from this race.
The major topics of discussion for this episode revolve around the red flag controversy at the end of the race, were the red flags necessary, was it fare to reshuffle the field the way that they did?
We also discuss the highs and lows of a couple different drivers weekends.
Finally, we will preview the 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, there are rumors of a new sprint format that will be introduced for this race and there has been a lot of talk about possibly getting rid of free-practice sessions.
This is probably the most insane race we’ve reviewed so far; we are excited for the prospects of the season based of what we’ve seen so far. Hope you enjoy! - Knoll & Delaney
Let’s face it people, the first two races of the season have not been barn burners, and it now has a lot of people asking questions like “Why do people like F1, it certainly can’t be for the racing.” So, this time on Not on This Occasion, Knoll & Delaney will be discussing what makes F1 fans tick, and what brings them back even when the races… suck.
(Feel free to share your opinion in the comments or our email)
Of course, we also have some comments on the 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the most recent race of the Formula 1 season.

Hello everyone, after a loooong winter break, we are back for SEASON 2 OF NOT ON THIS OCCASION... kinda. Today we are going over the predictions video we made at the beginning of 2022 and crowning the first ever Not on This Occasion prediction champion. The 2022 prediction video was the first ever video we made together and is technically the pilot episode to the podcast.
It can be viewed here: 2022 F1 Predictions - Not Knoll - YouTube

Well, here it is... The final grand prix of 2022, The ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX zzz zzz zzz, oh uh what, no I didn't fall asleep. This episode is more of a wrap up of the full 2022 F1 Season, were going to talk about the high and lows, and have a good cry together now that the season is over.
Of course, we are losing many drivers, but we are also gaining a few new faces for next year. The hype for 2023 is already on full swing, but before we get there, Knoll & Delaney must finish 2022 WITH A BANG... NOT ON THIS OCCASION Drum Solo

The F1 season coming to a close, this is the penultimate round of the season, but if you think that the drama is coming to a close as well... oh boy. It's time to talk about the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, King George Russell scores his first win, Mercedes return from the pit of despair but the top story is the fight for cutest couple. The Alpine Duo and The Best Frenemies from Red Bull, they all hate each other now and are in a huge fight to see which one can screw over their teammate more.
The 2022 season has been full of surprises, it's sad to see it slowly come to an end.
See you in Abu Dhabi - Knoll & Delaney
WELCOME BACK! Yes, this episode is slightly delayed (My b), but it is finally time to talk about the MEXICO CITY GRAND PRIX. It may have not been the best race of the season, some may say it was the worst, but thanks to budget caps and Sky Sports drama, we still have an episode worth of topics to talk about.
Side Note, this was recorded a little bit ago, so some of the topics are slightly outdated, we will be addressing the changes in the next episode!
On to Brazil!
Try for yourself: https://2022grid.tumblr.com
Hello, today we are taking a little trip back in time, and revisiting our favorite driver lists that we established in a previous episode, but now we are ranking the WHOLE grid. From 20th-1st these are how we rate every (full-time) driver from this season. Will there be controverse, will there be upsets, will there be tears... maybe, but you'll just have to watch to find out.

USA! USA! USA!
Hello everyone, welcome back, it's the UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX BABY! Of course, we'll be talking about the big stories from the grand prix, Sainz vs Russell, Pitstop drama, and Tim Apple, but the main topic for this episode is DRAMA! (I guess a lot of these episodes are)
Haas and Alpine, Fernando's DSQ (This was recorded before the appeal) and the FIA screwing up yet again. Also, for the first time on this podcast, a serious topic: woman in motorsports and the inconsistent behaviors towards fans. This is a pretty big topic; it might receive its own episode during the off-season.
But for now, enjoy Episode #20 of NOTO by Knoll & Delaney!
We all waited deep into the night for this one, the Japanese Grand Prix and then rain and red flags and restarts, putting this race at almost 3 hours. 3-hour race, silly season, and a new world champion that's just enough to create to most jam-packed episode of NOT ON THIS OCCASION yet.
Nicholas Latifi (Goatifi) also scored points this race, which is cause for celebration, so this episode is dedicated to our favorite driver, we have sent so much love to him this year glad he has taken it to heart.
Also, the FIA dropped the ball on this one... get ready

Well anyway welcome to this episode of Not On This Occasion, today is a little bit of US history, we are talking about the troubled history of the United States Grand Prix, and also it's failed siblings. After a slight delay we are finally here to talk about the FIA Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix from Canada. All the talk is about Virtual Safety Cars, 2-stops, and the ultimate question "is Mercedes finally back?". It's a very special episode dedicated to our two favorite Canadian Superstars, what kind of misadventures did those two kids have out in Montréal!!
Today we are taking a break from the modern-day action and taking a trip back to the 90's man. Oh Snap! We are talking about the worst Formula 1 team in history, which made its "competitive" debut in 1992. Booyah! This story has everything, from slow cars, poor reliability and of course... ties to the mafia.... So, sit back, take a chill pill and enjoy the story of the Andrea Moda F1 Team.
Despite this year's Azerbaijan Grand Prix being labeled "not a classic" there is still plenty to talk about after the dust settled. Is Ferrari really going to throw it all away? Will we ever figure out what the difference between bouncing and porpoising is? And finally, is duct tape the simple solution to fix Nicholas Latifi's shattered F1 career? The answer to the last one is no (no discussion needed), but the rest of them are all topics for today's episode of Not on This Occasion!!
Today we are talking about the biggest most exciting race on the F1 calendar... Haha just kidding we are talking about Monaco. Despite the lack of on-track action, the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix still left a lot on the table to talk about, rain delays, pit-strategy, broken equipment and of course the question on everyone's mind... will this be the final Monaco Grand Prix???
Welcome along everyone! Today we have a very different episode, because we are not talking about the drama on track, but rather the secret lives of the greatest drivers in the world. Today Delaney is going to be telling us about the WAGS of the F1 grid, and also each driver's astrological sign. This episode is extremely important to anyone that is planning on dating an F1 driver, if that's you this is a MUST WATCH...
yes, this is a real episode...
This episode is the first "Sprint" episode, these episodes will be shorter and will not focus on a specific race, but rather a specific topic. Today the topic is astrology but tomorrow it could be liveries, team history, or anything... ANYTHING, so stay tuned for these "Sprint" episodes in between the regular Grand Prix episodes.
After a CRTICAL DELAY! Knoll & Delaney have returned to bring you the good word on the greatest sport in the world (This is a fact not an opinion). Today we will be discussing the Spanish Grand Prix as well as briefly touching upon the races we missed during the delay (Imola and Miami). Everyone gather round and grab a Victoria Bitter (VB) because we are heading DOWN UNDER... to Australia! Today we will be going deep into the Australian Grand Prix, from the biggest success to the biggest failures (Aston Martin). We will also be talking about our favorite drivers on the grid and MUCH MUCH MORE... actually that's about it for this one :/.
For the first episode of Not On This Occasion, Knoll & Delaney talk about the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian grand prix. This is also the debut of the F1 Constructor Pyramid (sponsored by Dance Mom's!) and the KD or DK Power rankings. As well as our predictions for the Australian Grand Prix... despite the fact this episode wasn't released until after Australia... Oops :)
