In Revelation 2:12-17, Jesus sends a message to the church in Pergamos, or Pergamum according to some translations. This church had made serious compromises and allowed the false teachings of pagan religions to creep into the church.

Christ desires that His church be pure and not allow any kind of compromise to take root. It is the same for His church today - it is time for the church to stand against any and all false doctrine as she prepares for the day she will be united with her Bridegroom.

What a comfort to hear from the One "who was dead, and came to life." Christ encourages His church to persevere, knowing that the second death will not harm His people.

Can Jesus be my Savior and not my Lord?
Can I be saved by Christ and not have a life of increasing obedience that follows?
What do the terms "Easy-Believism" and "Lordship Salvation" mean?

In this episode, we explore what Scripture says regarding the above questions. If I have trusted Christ as my Savior, what should my life look like after that? If I have trusted Jesus as Savior, and submitted to Him as Lord of my life, will I struggle with sin; will I embrace sin; what should my attitude be towards obeying or disobeying the Lord?
