At Explicit Movement we know many parents and church leaders struggle to talk with young people about sex. We equip you with relevant, faith based resources so you can have these conversations with confidence. We know when you are empowered, you can help young people navigate and avoid damaging experiences and instead, guide them to having healthy, thriving relationships in God’s timing and design.We have a passion to see youth and young adults walk in sexual integrity and lead others to do the same.
Genesis 2:24 lays the foundation for God's design for sex when a husband and wife become one flesh. Sex is GOOD and we can even say that sex is HOLY when reverenced in the sacred covenant of marriage. Sex ultimately leads to the multiplication of God's image through reproduction.
However, sex also creates lasting bonds that not only impact our emotions but even our soul. When two become one in a healthy marriage, this bond helps to protect and strengthen the marriage through deep intimacy. Yet, when experienced outside of the marriage, it can lead to hurt, pain, trauma and spiritual consequences that hold us back from flourishing.

Michele discusses bitterness and the roots of which cause us to make judgement calls about others and ourselves. What we don't realize is that the judgments we sow become a harvest we reap throughout life. Michele Okimura, Founder and Director of Explicit Movement was invited to share a special sermon at Moanalua Gardens Missionary Church on the birth and God-story behind Explicit Movement.

In recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month, Michele met with licensed Psychologist, Dr. George Rhoades who specializes in sex trafficking, trauma, dissociative disorders, anger management, stress management and abuse. Dr. Rhoades shares some of the signs of suicide ideation, behaviors to monitor, how to respond to a friend who is contemplating suicide and the importance of offering hope through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
