The Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors of Nevada (PHCC of NV) was organized in 1980 and remains a vital organization which educates, supports, promotes, and renders assistance to the PHCC industry of Nevada. PHCC of NV was chartered by the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors – National Association (PHCC-NA) on November 13, 1990.

Judge Dawson was the Henderson City Attorney between 1972 and 1979. During that time, he was instrumental in the creation of the Henderson Public Improvement Trust, an issuer of tax-exempt bonds. Judge Dawson represented the city in attracting Ethel M. Chocolates, Levi Strauss, Breyer’s Ice Cream, and many other businesses. He was also instrumental in the first issuance of industrial development bonds for the cities of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. The infrastructure for the master-planned communities of The Lake at Las Vegas, Green Valley Ranch, McDonald Ranch and Seven Hills was financed with tax exempt bonds during his tenure.

The City of Henderson became a city in 1953 and has continued grow and develop ever since. The residents and families that were here from the start established a community that so many continue to call home today. Many of these families who still call Henderson home have shared with us their stories of what it was like growing up in the southeast part of the Las Vegas Valley.

Today's interview is from a lifetime resident and the City of Henderson's current mayor, Michelle Romero. Michelle shared many of her memories and experiences of growing up in Henderson and what it has meant to her and her family.

Jim Seebock was elected to the Henderson City Council via special election in April 2023 representing Ward I, which includes the historic Water Street district.

Councilman Seebock serves with the mayor and his fellow council members as the legislative branch for the Henderson community. We had the pleasure of interviewing Marcel Shaerer with the State of Nevada Department of Business and Industry where he serves as the Deputy Director and oversees programs and initiatives to address the needs of businesses that may include small business advocacy, providing resources that may include access to capital, advocacy for minorities and consumer protection.

We also had on Saul Ramos who is the District Director for the Nevada District Office with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Saul and his group work with businesses to identify funding opportunities for a business, counseling, federal contracting certifications, and disaster recover. The SBA works to connect partner organizations, lenders, and other community groups that help small businesses succeed.

Angelic Villarta with the Blucat Group is small business owner who has worked to grow a premium visual design firm where they work with their clients to create and develop highly impactful graphic, web, and brand designs. Also, they can create campaigns and events that may inclusively cater to diverse, global, underrepresented and disadvantaged communities.

Matt is the current President/CEO of Clark County Credit Union in Las Vegas Nevada. The Credit Union Started in 1951 by 25 employees with the Clark County Government here in Las Vegas. Over the decades the Credit Union has grown to serve over 50,000 members/owners and has assets equaling over $1 billion dollars. Matt has been the president/CEO since 2015 but has been with the Credit Union since 2005 where he started as a Commercial Loan Officer. Matt has worked his way up within the Credit Union where he has had the opportunity learn the in’s and out’s of commercial and real estate lending in addition to training others the intricacies of commercial lending. Matt volunteers his time to help others with financial training and also volunteers his time in his community and within his church.

Paul has since been involved in over 650 aircraft transactions and remains active as an aircraft sales broker, and in June of 2016 launched All In Aviation. In 2017, the Sallachs began working on a 5 acre, 26 hangar development at Henderson Executive Airport which opened in 2020. This new facility brought to Henderson it’s first pilot shop.
