Did you know that Highly Sensitive People (or HSPs) do better than average on performance reviews? Did you know that we are also the first to burn out?
Being presented with the choices of “burn out” or “opt out” are no choices at all. I know because that was me in the corporate world, and it has been the same for many other HSPs I know.
I’m Clare Kumar, host of the Happy Space Pod and online community. For HSPs, the world can be a noisy, bright, irritating, and downright overwhelming place. And this can get in the way of us giving our gifts to the world. But it doesn't have to be this way!
This podcast is for the 1 in 5 people who are innately highly sensitive inclusing those with neurodivergent minds such as ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and autism. It is also for those who experience induced sensitivity such as those suffering from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which, post-pandemic, is almost everyone. It's important to better understand and support those with high sensitivity, whether it's you, a family member, colleague, or someone in your community.
The "Happy Space Podcast" is about empowering Highly Sensitive People to stand in their strengths, celebrate their superpowers, and navigate the struggles that come with being highly perceptive and responsive. It is also about sharing inspiring stories of forward-thinking leaders and designers creating with sensitivity in mind. For don't we all deserve a more tender world? Let's call it a happy space!
