It's always so interesting to see how the different mental health conditions are described in so many different ways by people.

One such unique style was of @indic.psychologist @shrikanth.in 's attempt to bring into light Positive Psychology around Anxiety with respect to the Indian heritage. 😇

From describing Anxiety in a conventional manner, to going in-depth into why and how Mental well being was important since a very long time for India and how it is gaining its importance now, and the essence behind the Indian values. (Cue "Aatma" , "moksh" "kevalya"). 🧘🏻‍♀️ And that's the exact kind of conversation I would love to have with anyone who is spiritually inclined. ❤️

In conversation with @shrikanth.in, how he chose to diverge into Mental wellbeing from a journalism career and how he practices his "art".

Super pleased to have @shrikanth.in at my clinic and Also for the very first time presenting my podcast episode in the new - FitFully Yours Physiotherapy Clinic.

Do you know someone who snores?
Or someone who tells you that they feel tired even after sleeping for 8 hours at night?

Well, these could be some signs of a serious disorder happening right there.

Sleep

Such an important thing
We sleep for 1/3rd of our life. That means if someone lives 90 years, they spend 30 years - sleeping.

But many are not so fortunate. Many don't feel good after sleeping. Many have a sleep disorder which doesn't let them get a good night's rest.

So this episode is exactly about that.

I have on my podcast- Dr. Sohil Gala- who is an expert on obstructive sleep apnea - a sleep disorder.

His Instagram handle @the.snore.stopper - is rightly named for that reason.

I had the good fortune of interviewing him on this topic- at his clinic- in Mumbai.

I am excited to put forward our discussion on this topic, how physical and brain health relates to this sleeping disorder and how we can holistically manage this condition.

We have become aware that they are not just a state of mind but there is actually some kind of change happening in the structure of our brain.

We have become aware that there are various forms of help out there and we need to seek them whenever we think there's some issue.

But how do we really understand whether we ourself or someone around us is going through some mental health issue?

How do we act upon any mental health issue and seek treatment?

Let's find out in this episode with Dr. Rohan Jain.

Dr. Rohan is a Consultant Psychiatrist practicing at Mohali, Chandigarh
He was a University Topper during his Post Graduation from Mumbai.
His main interest lies in awareness about Preventive Primary Psychiatry; as people are much aware about their physical health, they should be equipped to care about their mental health themselves in the 1st place, then take support of Specialists if & when needed.

"Sleep for at least 7-8 hours before your exam so you can remember everything well"
This is something which we are told multiple times, but obviously due to the exam stress we are hardly able to sleep just before the paper is due.

So how does sleep help us in our memory storage and consolidation?
What is memory consolidation in the first place and how does our memory get converted from short term to long term?
Lastly why is memory such an important factor in movement in our daily life?

All these questions answered in episode 5 of Brain on the Move podcast

How does breathing coordinate with the way we move our body?

We don't realize this but our body is always listening to what we say to it. There is always a mental and emotional connection to what is physically present in our body.

This is the first episode of Brain on the Move podcast and I thought I should speak about why I have started it, what's my story and how I consider that everyone should know that what they think every single minute about their body is getting manifested physically. I have explained the neurobiological pathway of the Mind- Body connect that we have.
