I’m pretty damn passionate about teaching and serving others. There’s something about sharing my expertise to transform people’s lives that gets me out of bed in the mornings (at 5am, no less).
Recently I’ve been working on yoga teacher training and let me tell you, the learning never ends! But that’s the beautiful thing about this kind of training.
Today, I want to share my top 10 ways to know when the time is right for YOU to do teacher training. You don’t even have to become a teacher at the end, it’s just a beautiful way to understand your passion that little bit more and to know that there’s a method behind what may sometimes seem like madness.
So if you’ve ever thought about diving deeper into the movement you’re passionate about, let this podcast be your sign.
This is the last episode for this season of The Kynd Life. Head over to my Instagram to keep up to date on when the new season will drop and of course to say hello.

Health, wellness and fitness are pretty high on my priority list in life (as you could probably tell from this podcast so far). With bub on the way, it’s the perfect time to combine all these priorities of mine and share the tips and tricks of how you can exercise during pregnancy.
Of course, everyone’s personal situation is different - only your health specialists can advise you on that! But what I can give you is the advice I share with all my clients to keep them safe in my classes.
Today, we’ll be talking about your level of body and exercise awareness, how this will help you find the exercise that’s right for you, the best pace and type of exercise for each trimester, and so much more.
Don’t think that you need to stop everything when you get pregnant. As long as you’re comfortable, safe, and supported, there are all kinds of exercise you can do to keep your mind and body healthy in a way that’s perfect for both you and your bub-to-be.

No matter what line of work you’re in, it’s so important to continually develop yourself professionally AND personally. The thing I love most about being in the health and wellness space? Those two things usually go together. Developing yourself is how we grow, stay fulfilled and fill our cup - and recently, that’s exactly what I did.
I’ve taken two weeks to take some advanced yoga teacher training and whilst it most certainly wasn’t a break, I’m coming back feeling totally reinspired, nourished in my soul, and ready to give my students an even better experience.
Today, I want to run you through what I learned in training and why there’s so much for you to benefit from this kind of development on your own pathway. I promise you it is so worth it!

Having explored all five Yama, today we move onto the next limb of Patanjali’s ‘Eight Limbs of Yoga’ - the Niyama.
Where the Yama guide what we do out in the world and how it impacts others, the Niyama turns that focus inwards to look at us as individuals, our individual discipline, and how we are within ourselves.
There are five Niyama - “Saucha” (cleanliness), “Santosha” (contentment), “Tapas” (discipline), “Svadhyaya” (study of the self), and “Isvara Pranidhana” (devotion to a higher power).
In this episode, we’re going to go through all five and explore what they mean, how you can use them to reflect on your inner self, as well as simple practices that are perfect for the modern everyday person (a.k.a. you!).

Life is full of journeys, and today we continue ours in the Yoga Philosophy Series - and I’m sharing a new exciting one that I’m starting too.
In this episode, we move onto the last of the Yamas, “Aparigraha”, non-attachment.
Attachment is so prevalent throughout our lives, and in areas that we may not even realise. We can be attached to colours, aesthetics, relationships, and even to who we think we are as a person. There’ll be plenty to reflect on in this episode, so you may want to have a journal handy!
At the end of the day, I want to teach you that we don’t need to be attached to anything. Aparigraha is the practice of non-attachment and not detachment - it’s the idea that we’re not removing an attachment, it’s that there is no attachment to begin with.
And if that’s blowing your mind as much as it did mine, then let’s jump in and explore this teaching together!

More often than not, life can feel super busy. Whether it’s work, business, personal responsibilities, hobbies, a lot of us are just trying to do more with our time so we can fit more in.
If you’re anything like me, you feel like you have more things to do than you have time to do them. Today, let’s bust through that and learn how to harness the time that we have to do things that we want.
In this episode, I want to share with you the things I’ve learned about what productivity truly means. It’s about so much more than just the time you put in - it’s about using that time meaningfully, letting go of perfectionism, and staying present in what you ARE doing.
If you’re ready to change the way you think about productivity and use your time how YOU want, then this episode is where we learn how.

Life is full of both good and bad, beauty and ugliness, and light and dark.
That’s reality - but you are also in control of how you perceive your reality.
Today in the Yoga Philosophy Series, we are talking about “Brahmacharya”. This is the philosophy that when we use our energy for the greatest good, we achieve strength and vitality.
That means that YOU are the creator of all the beauty that’s in front of you. I’m not going to pretend that means you can bypass any of the bad things that do happen in life, but what you can do is open your eyes to the goodness that is available right here, right now.
It takes practice, reflection and work, but today I want to show you how to harness the positive energy that surrounds you to live a full, beautiful, high vibe life.

In this modern day world, movement doesn’t always naturally fit into our lives - but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s crucial for our happiness and wellbeing. What we can do is find a balance and learn how to get the most out of the exercise that we do.
That’s exactly what we’re going to talk about today. I’m going to give you some tips and tricks on how to maximise your exercise and give you new insight into why it’s so beneficial to move our bodies. We’ll also dive into the world of Pilates, something you’ve probably heard of - but let’s be real, Pilates seems like it comes in all shapes and sizes! So let’s clear up the mystery and find out what it’s all about and why it’s such a powerful form of movement.
Whether you’re a seasoned exerciser, just starting out, or just wanting to learn a little more about your body and how it moves, today’s episode will inspire you, educate you, and maybe even help you see your body in a different light.Let's connect.

Today, we continue on our journey with the Patanjali Yoga Sutras. In today’s episode of the Yoga Philosophy Series, we’re going to explore “Asteya”, which translates to “non-stealing”.
For most of us, it makes sense to not steal. Our conscience tells us that it’s not the right thing to do - but maybe we’re thinking of monetary, superficial stealing.
Today, we’re going to explore the many meanings that stealing can have. We can steal ideas, time and experiences from others. Not only that, we can rob ourselves of life, joy, time and health.
So why do we steal? Stealing stems from a sense of lack and the feeling that something is missing. When we feel incomplete in that way, stealing is a way to fill that void within us.
The solution is to live a life of abundance and find ways to make ourselves feel whole so that we can experience more freedom. Join me as we reframe the way that we think of stealing and non-stealing, and learn more about the value and practice of Asteya.

“The 9-5 is bullsh*t.”
We all have a dream life and I have a feeling that for a lot of us, it’s not the never-ending grind that we often find ourselves faced with.
We get one chance at life on this earth - so what do we do with it?
A lot of us have been sold the story that we need to tick a set of boxes in life, like going to uni and climbing the corporate ladder. But the truth is that’s not for everyone. We all have a passion in life, so it’s time to find out what that is and how to pursue it.
Time is the one resource you cannot ever get back, and I want to empower you to spend it wisely. If I can encourage even just one person out there to find the thing they love and pursue it, then my life’s goal is ticked and I’m pretty stoked with that.

It’s time to get your woo on!
What do I mean? Well, we’re going to be talking about spiritual teachings, and how to ask for and find your sign from the universe. It’s something that I find is super uplifting and perfect for when I’m looking for clarity or feeling a bit down.
If this all sounds super new to you, then today I’d like to introduce you to the world of spiritual teachings, manifestation, and all things woo.
Now, this isn’t everyone’s vibe, but my view on spirituality is that it doesn’t have to change who we are. We can still crack the same jokes and keep the same company whilst being just that little bit open minded to what’s out there. You never know, it might just be what takes you to the next level in your life, whatever that may be!
So if you’re ready to dip your toes in the grand scheme of woo and learn how to make it your own, then you’re in the right place. Let’s get woo!

In the last episode, we talked about the lows in life - and we’ve all been there. It’s part of the natural ebb and flow that we all experience. But when you feel like you’re at a low point, it doesn’t mean you have to stay there.
Today, let’s talk about burnout, something that I for one have been feeling lately! Between work, wrapping up last year and the ongoing situation in the world, it’s been pretty full on, and I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling like this.
What is burnout? It comes from a lot of different stresses and often happens in those times where you really feel like you’re burning the candle at both ends. It’s a time when we often find ourselves withdrawing when really, we should be doing the exact opposite.
Today, I want to give you 5 tips to help you recognise, avoid and recover from burnout. With these tools, you can be empowered to light yourself back up when you find yourself burning out.
My hope is that these tips will help you recover before it gets really serious, but there are tools and support available to you if they do:

Today’s episode comes with a trigger warning that we will be discussing topics like anxiety and sadness.
However, we’ll also be discussing empowering tools that can be used to help counter anxiety, overwhelm, or even just feeling in a funk - and why sadness is needed for us to feel and understand happiness.
There are always two sides to a single coin - think of the sun and moon, and day and night. They work together in the universe to create balance, but not perfectly. As seasons change, so too does the balance of light and dark. This is called the law of polarity, one of the many laws that govern our universe.
The same is true for our lives. There is a rise and fall to the seasons of life and the emotions we feel in each moment. Today, I want to show you how understanding this law can empower you when you’re feeling down, and how surrendering to the natural tide can help you ride the wave back to where you want to be.

Welcome back to another episode in the Yoga Philosophy Series, where we go behind the movement and dive into the philosophy and teachings of yoga.
Today, we are talking about the second Yama of the Yoga Sutras, “Satya”, which is truthfulness and integrity. We all know that truth holds a powerful place in life, but how often do we pause to really think about what it means for us and the ripple effects it can have in our world?
Living in truth impacts not only yourself, but your environment and those around you as well. When you live in integrity with yourself, it has the power to manifest into your reality - and today, I want to inspire you to find your truth and make it happen.

You don’t need to wait for January 1st to set your goals each year. But let’s be honest, there is something pretty special about using the energy of a new year to set goals and commit to bettering yourself.
It can be easy to lose sight of those goals as the days, weeks and months of the year roll on. The trick is sticking to that commitment so that even if things change, your goals are always there.
Today, we’re going to set our new year goals together. In this episode, I’ll be your guide with reflective questions to look back at the things you want to change, the successes you’ve achieved, and the dreams you want to reach in the future.
Get your pen and paper at the ready - it’s time to pause, reflect and get really real with ourselves so that we can learn how to make each year better than the last.

Here we are - the end of 2021!
In this last episode of the year, I want to let you into my world to recap and reflect on the year that’s been and all it’s involved. To get us started, here’s a little secret I use to go down memory lane, to reflect and get my biggest insights - I go back through my camera roll!
From the opening of my studio, the launch of this podcast, my wedding, beautiful sunsets, rainbows and everything in between, I want to share my lessons and insights of 2021 with you. Plus, it’s well and truly wedding season in my circle, so I have some wedding planning tips that may prove very useful for some of you out there.
Stay with me to the end and I’ll also run through my favourite reflection exercise for you to do yourself. It’s something you can do for the day, week or year, either by yourself or with those you love.
It’s so important to pause, take a breath and reflect on what you’ve achieved and what led you to where you are now to move forward from there. Today, I’d like to share my experiences with you and show you how.

If you’re into yoga, then you know it’s about so much more than just movement. And if you aren’t, then this episode is going to open your eyes to the philosophical teachings and mindset shifts of yoga, and maybe give you a new way to see the world.
Today is the first episode in the Yoga Philosophy Series reflecting on the Yoga Sutras, a collection of teachings by Patanjali. Although it was written thousands of years ago, its teachings are still so applicable in the real world today - just in a different way.
In this episode, we’re talking about “ahimsa”, the first of the Yamas of the Yoga Sutra - and if you want to know what all of that means, you’ll have to listen on!
Ahimsa means “nonviolence” and today we’re going to discuss what that is, how it can completely change your approach to so many aspects of your life, and why it goes so much deeper than you might think.

It’s the first day of summer here in Australia, and I’ve been in the health and fitness industry for long enough to know that when summer hits, there’s usually a common theme.
It’s the time of year when new faces start to pop up in the studio as people look for a last-minute “quick fix” to get their #summerbod for #hotgirlsummer.
Here’s the truth - life is just so not about that. It’s time to get rid of that kind of thinking.
As the year comes to an end, you don’t have to flog yourself with an intensive workout to feel better about going out for a drink or a festive dinner. You deserve to celebrate and enjoy yourself, and you are defined by so much more than what your body looks like.
In this episode, I want to help you let go of these kinds of beliefs and embrace a balanced lifestyle that has room for health, fitness, wellbeing, AND enjoyment - because you are a real person who is worthy of living real life to the fullest!

We’re back with Part 2 of this journey through yoga and business. When we left off, I had just started my first studio, Barre & Co. Today, I want to show you how the idea, the business, and I all evolved to bring you the magic that is Kynd Studio today.
Part of a journey is finding the way, and I am definitely no exception. I’ve had times where I’ve had to pause and question what I’m doing, what I want to do, and find the way forward that feels the most fulfilling to me, and in this part of the episode, I want to share that whole process with you.
Most importantly, today I want to inspire YOU to chase that feeling, and to start the journey of following your own ideas and potential, even if it’s just baby steps. If there is something in your heart, follow it - because I can tell you now, it’s pretty mind-blowing to be here.
