This episode with Jennifer Glacken focuses on faith, leadership, and how loss can mold you into a stronger leader if you lean on God. "I thought my rock-solid faith would easily get me through life’s ups and downs. At 54 my outlook is different. Grief is a part of life. Things change and you have to adapt. God is with you throughout but that doesn't minimize the loss. I’ve learned to accept me for me and how to calm myself down during stressful situations. I’ve learned to always go to God first. Your experiences as a leader help you empathize and guide others. You understand where people are coming from and can see their brokenness. My past experiences have crafted me into the leader I am today. As I continue to grow, I hope I help others become the leader they're meant to be.” Jennifer Glacken is the CEO/President of Glacken Health & Wellness. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Foreign Affairs and Spanish. Her holistic health story began in 1992 when her son's health challenges led a friend to introduce her to environmentally safe cleaning products and natural nutrition alternatives. After a job loss occurred in 1999, Jennifer decided to pour her knowledge into building a very successful nutrition business. Jennifer homeschooled her two children through high school, is an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church, and has held leadership positions in numerous networking groups. Her hobbies include hot yoga, strength training, traveling, hiking, reading, puzzles, and participating in Bible studies. GlackenHealth.com

They didn’t talk. Not for ten years. Not about faith anyway. Instead, this Christian mother and her Muslim daughter tiptoed with pain around the deepest gulf in their lives–the daughter’s choice to leave the Christian faith, convert to Islam and become a practicing Muslim.
Now in their new book Undivided, the mother journeys with her daughter through a struggle to heal their divide, facing their deepest question: Can they learn to love each other in a whole new way?
An important work for parents whose adult children have left the family's belief system, it will help those same grown children as they wrestle to better understand their parents. More than all, it will point divided parents of all walks of life to release their divides to Christ as he heals their hearts, relationships, families and homes.

Research shows that while the majority of women work outside the home, they still continue to do double the housework and twice as much time caring for the children as their working husbands. This is a reality that totally explains how we find many women living with a Super Woman Complex.
Because women tend to be cooperative and nurturing, most will find themselves feeling overextended at some point. In this episode, Jory and Jennifer discuss how women end up so overcommitted and how necessary it is to forego some good things in order to focus upon doing great things. They will also take a look at lessons learned from how some of the great women of the Bible used their feminine qualities as strengths while facing both personal challenges and amazing opportunities.

Money and wealth can be a controversial topic with Christians. It shouldn't be. A full-time pastor for twenty years, and full-time missionary for five, Curt Johnson will discuss how and where "universal success laws" line up with biblical precepts. (He'll also explore how New Age thought and the principle of tithing can hold people in financial bondage!) Is it OK for Christians to make $$$? A lot of $$$? Before and after the show, post your comments and questions for Jory and Curt on Jory's Facebook Business Page. Ten years ago, the power of the internet catapulted Coach Curt to #1 Team Builder and #2 Enroller for a marketing company of ~100,000 representatives. He quickly earned additional recruiting and team-building awards, along with a signficant amount of residual income, in this and other multi-level marketing (MLM) companies. Curt founded the WorksTeam in 2004 and worked closely with Ann Sieg for three years before her launch of the Renegade Phenomena. It was his residual income that enabled Curt to serve as a missionary for five years with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), training and equipping young people in Hawaii, the Fiji Islands, New Zealand, and the Philippines. In 2010 he relocated back to the USA to accept Ann Sieg’s offer to become her Renegade System Director of Coaching. Known as "The First Renegade," Coach Curt now helps hundreds of professionals apply all the newest and fast-changing internet tools (like blogging) to help them build their businesses online.
Surrendering to God’s will carries the connotation of facing a life sentence without parole. Who hasn’t had those occasional hair-raising thoughts: “Oh God, don’t make me do that--anything but that.” And as funny as it sounds, it’s true. Surrender, to us mere mortals, can feel like sudden death; the death to our dreams, our passions, our plans, our hopes.
How can we trust that we’re hearing from God? What if what we feel God is telling us makes no logical sense? Marcie Thomas will share inspiring examples of when God asked her to choose the path less traveled—the path of surrender. And through surrender, God has opened up unexpected doors of favor, opportunity, blessing and success. This episode is designed for the leader who needs a little encouragement to “let go and let God.”
