Black women are often the backbones in their families, communities and workplaces. We are expected to abandon ourselves by pourin’ into others until we are empty. This is a sacred space, for Black women, where we will have brave conversations to destigmatize mental health and encourage one another to be intentional about self-care. We’ll discuss how micro aggressions, gender roles, and the strong Black woman myth impact our mental health. We’ll share our stories, discuss barriers, accessibility to mental health resources and more. Join us for monthly episodes. May our cups overflow! This episode is comical, has great gems, encourages women to own their desires and more. It’s not the typical conversation about singleness. Nope, I won’t be giving a to-do list by saying things like “focus on yourself” nor perpetuate the belief that there is a deficit within you.

In this episode, I encourage those who identify as the strong friend to look inward, evaluate their friendships, and to explore when they first started identifying themselves as the strong friend.

In this episode, I share how my mental health was negatively impacted by my job which resulted in me submitting a letter of resignation three months ago. Sometimes to not settle requires faith. In this episode, my faith and mental health hugged one another.

People who need help, sometimes, don’t look like people who need help. In this episode, Danielle brings awareness to the stigma that there is a look as it relates to those who need help. It also includes a mindfulness meditation to center us. Tap Tap Tap In!
