I finally watch Akira and just as you would have guessed it, I didn’t understand it at all. Maybe it’s because of the fact that it wasn’t directed by a Kindergartner type director like Michael Bay or maybe that I couldn’t read the subtitles fast enough. We’re back! Yes, last week I was trying to host the podcast from Jessica’s house. But for some reason, UStream and I weren’t getting along. Maybe it was them, maybe it was Jessica’s router. Also, if you were part of the live audience and stayed for the after show, you would have heard Raul saying that I was doing a bad job of hosting the podcast.  Well, I told him to put his money where his mouth was and host the next show.

Note for the video below: There was a LOT of shenanigans going on and the only reason why you see only my reactions is because UStream doesn’t record multiple video streams. Only the host stream. If you miss the live recording, then you missed out on some hilarity.

Andrew, James and I did a lot over the week in Las Vegas for CES.  This is our special Pixelated Podcast recapping everything that happened in the city of Sin. And believe me, there was a lot that happened. Thanks again to all the companies at CES that let us play with their wonderful tech toys and to our live audience from last night’s live recording.

It was the Monday before CES and Bill couldn’t make it to the recording.  Due to his raid leader not letting him leave the raid. Oh well.  We always have people to step in for our co-hosts, like our good friend Joe the Peacock. So, instead of having news about World of Warcraft, we have continued derailment. But it’s ok.  Joe gave us Christmas gifts… which I still need to get.

On this episode:

  • Digital Distribution Refund Policy – Good or Bad idea?
  • Andrew’s thoughts of Avatar IMAX 3D
  • CES is just around the corner
  • and other stuff

It was the podcast before Christmas and all through the house, Mr. Peacock was derailing the show while I clicked the mouse– ok. I’ll stop. I’m not a poet. Any who, Joe the Peacock joined our show again, this time last minute. And, as always, he brought a lot of laughs, random thoughts, and rants.

Topics:

  • Mainstream Filmmaking is equal to Auto-Tuned Rap
  • E-Readers — Is it time to make the Jump?

We couldn’t get to the rest of the topics because I let the Peacock run rampant. Which is ok because he gave us all presents! If you were part of the live audience last night, e-mail me your full name and ustream username to nelson -at- pixelatedgeek .dot. com so I can send you your Christmas gift.

Greetings glorious geeks!

This week’s podcast is a big one, clocking in well over our normal 30 min goal, but our talk today could not be constrained or rushed into half an hour. Last week while at Gateway 2015 we were faced with sexism in a very direct way and we want to talk about it with our audience. We won’t let bigotry go unnoticed and leave victims feeling alone. We want to see our beautiful and amazing geek community unite and banish this kind of ignorance from the world. By telling our story on this podcast we hope to educate and inspire others to stand side by side with their fellow human beings and defend each other from hatred. Buckle up, this one’s gonna get heavy.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you again to Anthony at Zombiesmith Miniatures for being a great human being and a hero when someone needed him. If you’re a fan a minatures then check out Zombiesmith and know that you’re dealing with truly good people.

This week we also get into the element of competition at the game table and life to see if it’s a good thing to have or not and how it doesn’t matter what game you play, it’s always more fun with other people.
