This episode delves into some of the nuances of credit - in particular, credit scores, why credit is important, and how to improve your credit if you find yourself in a bit of a rough financial shape.
CREDIT SCORES - A number, typically between 300-850, that indicates a potential borrower's trustworthiness/creditworthiness to a lender. In essence, the higher the number, the more likely you will be to repay your loan in good standing. Good credit scores are typically anything above 650, while very good scores are above 750.
CREDIT - The ability to obtain goods or services prior to payment, by entering into an "IOU" with the vendor. You defer payment to a later date, and are able to purchase larger goods or service you may not have the money to pay cash for now, but are able to afford by breaking the total into smaller, more manageable chunks over a period of time (e.g. buying a house).
