We have the ability to enjoy pleasing smells, and we have the ability to be repulsed by disgusting smells. Generally, that which is wholesome and healthy smells good, and that which is unhealthy and harmful smells bad. Metaphorically speaking, our Lord Jesus has the most beautiful fragrance of all. Jesus means life and salvation and forgiveness and hope, so His fragrance is sweet and savory — for those who are being saved. But this is not everyone. For those who do not believe, Jesus means death and doom and condemnation. And so, for them, the fragrance of Jesus seems foul and putrid.

As you may know, a great chef must follow a process to end up with a delicious outcome. Cain and Abel is a story we can remember as an envious brother which killed his younger brother. This was a result of jealousy from one finding the favor of God in their life. We may say “I could never do that to my brother” but maybe we have done it without even thinking about it.

God, in His profound love for us, thoroughly and meticulously plans for everything to work purposefully in our lives. If we have chosen to follow God, and walk in accordance with His plans, we will see Him glorified in any situation. It is a gift that God gives to those who choose to accept it. And it is a gift He wishes to give to all people. Encounters do not happen by chance when people are placed into our lives. God choreographs those encounters and the relationships we build, so that He can use us to change lives.

In Webster’s dictionary “Nevertheless” is defined as ‘in spite of that : HOWEVER” Also, it is used in the Bible this way. Nevertheless, we can also look at that same word in a different aspect, as in Never – The – Less or never the least. If we look at the world requirements on what it takes to be successful and to move ahead, you may find several trainings which teach you to be arrogant, to step over people, and the number 1 goal is to be the best of the best in a dog-eat-dog world. However, the most powerful man that walked this Earth was the most humble and He taught us that being the opposite of the world’s standards will make you more successful for all eternity. So we must avoid the attempt of the short-term gain and the long-term loss.

We are all fools for something or someone. Webster’s dictionary states a “fool” is someone who is silly, ignorant or deceives. Also, in Webster’s idioms it states “a fool for” is someone who loves something. Also, it was used in a sentence as a person in a noble house for jestering. Typically, when you hear the term overflowing, it can be easily corelated with a negative impact. Such as, the radiator in your car is overflowing, or when your kid is pouring milk and then the milk overflows, or everyone’s favorite is when the toilet is overflowing. But what about when your bank account is overflowing, or someone’s talent is overflowing, or the blessings of God are overflowing now, it is an amazing word! In the book of Isaiah 54:17 it reads “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.” We love to say this when we are talking about the enemy or people. But what happens we are forming weapons against ourselves or we are using our own tongue to rise us against ourselves?

“Use the right tool for the job”— If your only tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. This implies, that different problems require different solutions (or tools). Each tool is precisely designed for a specific purpose, so choosing the correct tool will also decrease the amount of effort required to get a job done right without causing damage to either the equipment or the surface being worked on. Does this apply to the bible?

The giving of First Fruits or tithing is a tricky topic. It’s tempting to tune out when your pastor brings up generosity in the sermon or even to treat the offering bucket at church like a hot potato. But before you get all nervous and sweaty about tithing, hang with us. The tithe gets a bad rap, but it can actually be a very freeing principle. So let’s get to the bottom of this hot-button question: Why should we give of the First Fruits?

Now days, cryptocurrency is being used for purchases. Before that, was a piece of paper called a check. Not a digital check you get “Direct Deposited”, but a physical piece of paper. Before that check could be processed, it had to be properly filled out and signed. In very rare occasions, writing a blank check can be used when you may not know the total end amount of a purchase or perhaps when you do not know everything that may need to be bought. However, doing this is not recommended by financial institutions because of the high costs and risk associated with this. Did this ever happen in the Bible?

Preaching to the Choir is said when you are trying to get your point across to people who already agree with you. As a result, we can fall into the belief; or the enemy can convince you, that we do not need to share the Word with certain people or the body of Christ. Fear has been a tactic of the enemy for many years. He tried to scare Moses into not approaching Pharaoh, Joshua to take over as the leader, Peter to claim that he knew Jesus and to try to intimidate us to continue sharing the Gospel. However, God has commanded us to be courageous and to Fear Not!
