As we journey through life, we are often confronted with obstacles along the way. These obstacles, whether big or small, slow us down and often cause us to stumble. Though frustrating, it’s through the process of stumbling that we oftentimes learn the most. In this episode I discuss the obstacles that God puts on our path and more importantly, what blessings He has in store for us once we make it through.

As I’ve been on this path of drawing closer to God and becoming more of who He needs me to be, there have been times when I’ve stumbled...
- Not thinking I’m enough or that I have anything unique that the Lord needs me to do
- Feeling Overwhelmed
- Comparing myself to others, especially other women who seem to be doing amazing things while also still fitting into size 2 pants and looking like they just stepped out of a fashion magazine…
- Discouragement—including just wanting to quit all together

All my life I had tried my best to earn my stateroom on the cruise ship of life. But, I was stuck there…eating canned tuna and missing out on wonderful experiences and opportunities because I didn’t think I “qualified” for them—or in other words, I didn’t think they were included in my “ticket”.
What I thought "my ticket" included and how I felt in bondage to my trials…in bondage to the burdens I was carrying.
I fell victim to the excuses that “life is hard” and “there is a time and season to everything”. … I allowed myself to use them as a crutch. I used them to remain a victim…
I wasn't even sure I knew who I was anymore
I wondered if I had anything to offer the world
I had completely bought into the overwhelm, the comparisons, the perfectionism, and the discouragement—all of which are weapons the adversary uses to distract us from the truth.
Why? Because he doesn’t want us to realize the power and potential we truly have! He lives in fear that we will turn to God, trust Him, and let Him prevail in our lives—because if we do, then the devil knows we will not only feel peace and happiness…we will also be POWERFUL and UNSTOPPABLE as instruments in the Lord’s hands to share the light of Christ throughout the world!
But there was this stirring in my soul...
One morning, I had an incredible experience that I'll never forget...which led to another experience--a chastisement from God that has been burned into my memory and my soul.

Have you ever been so tired or so lost that you literally didn't think you could take another step...in any direction?
If you have, then you are definitely not alone.
One Memorial Day weekend, I found myself alone in the cemetery, kneeling at my mother's headstone. On such a busy weekend for cemeteries, I was surprised to be alone, surrounded by a sea of yellow mums.
I was feeling deeply lonely, empty, and weary...you could say I felt numb
- Out of Hope
- Out of Words
- Out of Tears
Then I spoke four words that changed my life...and eventually many others.
My friend had a dream and received a message...immediately, a miraculous connection was made.
God had sent His message to me, through my friend.
He knew...He KNEW!
...and He sent Help and HOPE!
The process of reconnecting was begun and as each "next step" was put in my path, I felt myself rising up to become the person He needs me to be AND to start living the life He needs me to live.
God opened the doors of opportunities and sent plenty of help so I could truly PROSPER in all areas of my life...and each time I put in the effort and the faith to walk through the door, He has rewarded me beyond anything I could possibly imagine.
It is exhilarating, liberating, elevating, and oh so powerful!
I didn't have to stay "stuck in the junk"
I could trust in God to give me the one "next step" so I could keep walking on my path to BECOMING and to returning to HIM.
There was just one thing I had to do--and I had to do it Big Time!
...and it's the same for you. The abundant life God wants for you is available if you have the faith and courage to keep walking.
