Rumor has it that a substantial number of Americans are dissatisfied with the performance of our government. Many people believe the ability of average Americans to effectively petition their government is terribly weak. Some say America is not even a republic, operating on democratic principles but has, instead, become an oligarchy.
Now, we’re not in any way promoting revolt in a bad sense of that word. But it’s said that extreme oppression eventually leads to revolution. So why does it seem that average Americans are torn between mob action when we’re working together, with the alternative being us often turning on each other? Attorney Zena Crenshaw-Logal and Dr. Andrew D. Jackson, co-hosts of our “Change of Venue”*, tackled that question with their esteemed guest, retired Crisis Counselo [...]
ARE WE THERE YET? Not quite, says attorney Bryan Bullock, host of The Cyberspace Railroad - Forging a Path to Liberty and Justice. That’s his assessment of America and whether it has in fact become a Police State. This broadcast is the latest in a series defining a police state by its trappings of hyper surveillance, militarized police, agent provocateurs, and the like.
Attorney Bullock begins Fall 2017 for The Virtual Round Table, examining the circumstances pursuant to which America could be formally transformed into a police state. And the sad news is that “Consent of the Governed” may be what ushers it in for our country. Learn all the alternatives as Bullock explores them one by one on this broadcast and more to come.
This week’s Change of Venue broadcast introduces us to the recently founded National Strategy and Management Board (NSMB). Attorney Zena Crenshaw-Logal* and Dr. Andrew D. Jackson, our COV co-hosts, are both NSMB members. So they switched hats a bit and let NSMB President, Retired Police Chief Gordon L. Wiborg, Jr. take the broadcast helm and introduce us to the NSMB as well as a few of its 12 members.
We learn that the NSMB is an arm of National Forum On Judicial Accountability, a proponent of maximizing direct citizen oversight of America’s judiciary.

Our host, Sarah Roche — Creative Director of Theatre for Justice, scientist, and spiritual counselor — tracks us through the avoidable journey from external stimuli to over stimulation to mental, physical, and spirtual disease. On this week’s episode of Prescribing Justice, host Dr. Michael Langan cautions us about the allure of treatment programs as alternatives to punishment. Too many have learned the hard way — particularly in the context of physician treatment programs — that seemingly benign and benevolent treatment programs have their fools, and they’re not those in charge who are making all the gold! If basic liberty and due process are the price to be paid, physician and other treatment programs can be worse than the proverbial cure. Listen . . .

The panel discussed a recent ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in the appeal titled Joseph P. Carson v. the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board. This week your Cyberspace Railroad host, attorney Bryan Bullock, kicked off a multi-part series titled “The Police State”. Part One, a Black Perspective. Get ready for a one-word response: Wow! Defining a police state by its trappings of hyper surveillance, militarized police, agent provocateurs, and the like . . . Bullock makes the point that these phenomena have always been part of the Black experience in America. And their goal far exceeds the suppression of civil liberties that all who are the target of a police state experience. For African Americans, it is Black consciousness, self-protection, self-love, empowerment, prosperity, and even survival that is oppressed. The Police State for Blacks is about life and death.

Jackson, talked politics with a focus on political organizing and political power with regard to the U.S. legal system and particularly the judiciary. “What would it take for a substantial number of grassroots U.S. legal system reform advocates to go MADD for political power?” That’s M-A-D-D, mad. The reference was metaphorical to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. That group is our symbol of effective political organizing by average Americans.
