As we start off the new year, we are encouraged to live better. In this lesson we examine three areas that if we work on will help us have a better life and help us to be the kind of people God would have us to be. The three issues considered are: controlling our anger, having faith and not faithlessness, and fill our lives with the fruits of righteousness.
This lesson examines some thoughts from the apostle Paul recorded in Philippains 3:12-14 as we strive to encourage each one in faithfulness to the Lord and using the new year in a positive way to glorify God in our lives.
This is the continuation of the previous lesson as we strive to motivate each one to begin the new year is a positive way as we examine thoughts express by the apostle Paul in Philippians 3:12-14.
We all remember the part of the story concerning the birth of Jesus when it was time for Joseph and Mary to seek cover for the evening,after there long journey, that there was “no room in the inn” for them. Well, what about responses from people today? Do they have room for Jesus in their lives? Do they make room for Jesus in their lives? This lesson examines 4 areas we need to make room for Jesus in our lives. In doing this we will then make sure He is getting all the room in our life He deserves.
Have you ever been confronted with the temptation of apathy? The “I don’t know, and I don’t care” has hindered many good works. This lesson examines some ways for us to deal with and overcome apathy in our lives.
This lesson could also be called - “Seven Ducks In Muddy Water”. 2 Kings chapter 5 is a clear illustration of the power of faith and the power of God. Study with us as we look at some lessons from the story of Naaman.

However, we need to make sure we are thankful to the right somebody (God) and remember to be thankful for the right reasons. This lesson encourages us to live a life of THANKSLIVING!
Study with us as we examine our text (1 Peter 1:3-9) as Peter reminds Christians that we have cause to rejoice in good times and bad times. Attitude has much to do with gratitude, so we are reminded of how to keep our priorities in line with where the “directions” (God’s word) show us where they need to be.
A lot of people ask this very question? Ironically, our U.S. currency gives us the answer “In God We Trust”. The Bible also teaches us the importance of trusting in God, as He truly has an “unchanging” hand. Do we really trust God? Or is our trust in something else, which will at some point fail us?
What do you know about “fasting”? Fasting is a subject mentioned several times in the Bible, yet how often have you heard a study on this topic? Examine the scriptures with us, as we look to the Bible to see what God’s word reveals about this topic. Should Christians “fast” today? Is it commanded of us?
This lesson was delivered with the upcoming “time change” on Sunday, November 5, as we set the clocks back with Daylight Savings Time ending, in mind. Our world changes greatly, but it is comforting to know that there are some things that will never change. We invite you to study with us some things the Bible teaches will not change and that gives us encouragement, confidence and hope to serve God faithfully.
Many are not very familiar with this Bible subject. Some may even be confused about this suject. Since the Bible does deal with this matter, it is important that we know what the Bible teaches in regard to this subject. Often one wonders, are we to “wash each other’s feet” in our worship services? Are we to practice the “washing of feet” today as a religious practice? We invite you to study the Bible with us, and see what the Bible teaches in this matter.
Are we to judge or not? Can we judge or not? What can we judge? What can we not judge? Many questions, and many are confused! However, an examination of what Jesus taught in Matthew 7 will reveal a lot to us about the topic of judging!
Clearly the trade between Jacob and Esau was a bad deal for Esau. But was it the “worst deal ever”? We would all agree that there are examples of many “bad” deals in this world throughout history. But what is the worst deal ever made? Trading our soul for the world and the things of the world, that’s the worst deal ever made! This lesson gives several reasons why this is true.
Faithfulness. Is it Mission Impossible? No, it is possible. This lesson gives a variety of reasons why faithfulness is possible in one’s life.
Wow, what a question? Study with us as we examine what a person really misses when they are a faithful Christian!
