  1. Navigating Relationships with Intimacy Coach Jaclyn Foster

Today I welcome relationship and intimacy coach Jaclyn Foster to the show and I think you'll love our conversation, there are so many great nuggets! Hiply is all about how we speak to ourselves and others in a loving and supportive way so we can all feel loved, seen and heard.Because when we heal ourselves, we heal the world. Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time.

We talk about the dualities in relationships, how as human beings we want to be both free and safe and held. This is a constant dance and balance and what can be so beautiful. Jaclyn reminds us that according to a study by the Gottman Institute 69% of arguments in relationships are about unsolvable problems. So if we can move to agreeing that the problem or issue has no clear solution then we have agreement on something at least. There is hope, with growth, Hiply and Positivity we can tap into our inner peace and feel so much better. Love and acceptance are the answers. Accept reality, accept what's happening and resist arguing and fighting with reality.

Thank you for being coachable and practicing Hiply with me to Jacki. She is feeling tarry about building her business which she judges as not going fast enough, not successful enough - and that makes perfect sense. Or course she wants it faster and bigger and better. That's how we're conditioned to think. Pay attention to the following hiply tools: human condition and negativity bias, tar, blame, shame, judgments, clean and dirty pain. Inner Peace Self and parts work as well as the it's okay technique and keeping your energy positive. Because when we heal the ourselves we heal the world. Adriana shows up super coachable by working through her imposter system and the fear of being fake. I love how bubbly, fun and full of light Adriana is. She doesn't want her corporate persona to come up because she wants to be bubbly and fun.

Listen for the following hiply tools and concepts, feeling tarry, the it's okay technique, the hiply process, where the first step is noticing, second step accepting what is happening (using the it's okay technique) to create some space. And then the third step is to get into the space with some new ideas, get creative and curious and try new things. Step 4, if it works keep doing it, if not rinse and repeat. Finally, a reminder to be so gentle with ourselves. And turn our inner critic into our inner coach. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world. Lauri has created the methodology of heart centered boundaries to create boundaries within relationships with loved ones which she says is very different than setting boundaries at work.

I love how she looks at boundary setting as a dance, coming from what I want instead of what I do want, my deep desires.

Language matters, setting and enforcing boundaries vs. radiating boundaries from the inside by being in alignment with what we want and desire.

When we can be in our own core energy it's so much easier to stay on our side of the street and dance from that non-attached place.

And big takeaway - Heart Centered Boundaries create Hiply Moments!

Lauri's listener tip to get out of tarry feelings:

When you're feeling tarry - start shaking and bouncing to express whatever the tarry emotion is (energy in motion) so it doesn't get stuck. To create movement in the body and the energetic field.

Today I welcome Tudie back to the show and we are practicing Hiply - pay attention to the following Hiply concepts and tools - boundaries, "clear is kind", hold positive intentions for positive outcome, clean pain and dirty pain,

Last time Tudie was working through creating clear boundaries around her living situation. She updates us about her situation and is happy to report that she is now in a much better living situation. Tiny home living can be stressful. She's in a new situation and worried a bit about messing it up.

Today I speak with somatic therapist and body worker Amelia Burns. The body is always in the present moment, being the perfect venue for creating a Hiply Attitude, where we are Hiply and present to whatever is happening. Listen for the following Hiply Concepts: the hiply it's okay technique, paying attention to your social nervous system and the Inner Peace Self and Parts psychology. And Amelia's mantra for letting go is - drop and bless.

We talk about beautiful concepts and modalities, such as slow down to speed up, there is nothing to fix, just notice, and trying to push just creates more tension. Allowing and meeting the tension with equal attention is a way to bring the Hiply Peace to things.

Today we've got the juicy topic of feeling tarry about work life balance. Tarry feelings point to crossed boundaries and unmet needs and help us get curious about what is happening.

Pay attention to the following Hiply tools and concepts. The it's okay technique, setting expectations, parts work, the Inner Peace Self that is always at peace and never gets triggered. And polarized parts that are fighting within us. And finally, the Hiply Process, where whenever you want to change something, the first step is noticing, the second step is acceptance (it's okay, whatever is happening is okay) and that creates spaces for step 3, getting curious and 4, trying something new and noticing what that does. Part of the acceptance is noticing the tarry feelings as well as Clean and Dirty Pain.Thank you Julie for showing up so vulnerably and playing Hiply with me.

Today I welcome Patrick back to the show to practice some Hiply. He's feeling tarry about slow and unclear communication. Pay attention to the following Hiply Tools and Concepts: Tarry feelings point to crossed boundaries and unmet needs, and tarry feelings can be split into clean and dirty pain. Dirty pain is the tarry feelings, shame, blame, judgments piled onto what is actually happening (aka clean pain). Self Judgment, the it's okay technique, some parts work, and back to all those thoughts, the dirty pain. And It's okay. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world. Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time.

We talk about judgments, clean and dirty pain. Clean comes from the actual situation, the dirty pain comes from your thoughts about it.

Welcome to Let's Hiply this, the podcast all about the new fun Hiply Language of Love that I created to make self help fun and easy. This is your host, Claudia Williams and today I talk with award winning author and fellow Elementum Life Coach Roberta Mussato about trusting the Universe and we had such a fun and hiply connection and conversation. Listen for the following hiply tools and concepts - using language to reprogram our mind. taking judgements out of feeling tarry and how letting go and trusting that all will be okay can be hard when you have tarry feelings about what is happening at the moment.

Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time, because when we heal ourselves we heal the world.

Did you know that 95% of our thoughts and beliefs are subconscious, and many of them are installed by culture and our programming and we don't readily believe in them.

We talk about NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming - and how our language can help us rewire our mind. Changing just one word in our language can help change our whole outlook.

We discuss NVC - Non Violent Communication, also called compassionate or needs based communication. It's a communication and coaching modality that I've simplified with hiply. I use just two feeling words - tarry and hiply, and 3 basic universal needs, love, peace and freedom, to incorporate all our human needs. I use tarry for a "negative" feeling word and reframe it as helpful to have tarry feelings, to take the subconscious judgments out of it and make it easier to move through tarry feelings. And often the most important thing is to help each other or ourselves in calming and regulating our nervous system before it's possible to have productive communication.

Finally, Roberta's listener tip to reduce tarry feelings:

Get those tarry thoughts out of your head and onto the paper. In Hiply we call it the temper tantrum technique.

Today I've got a treat for you - I'm practicing Hiply with budding psychologist Mikayla. She's 25 years old and going through big transitions in her life.

When you have big life decisions to make, have you ever wondered about what it is that you even really want? How do you trust to know when it's time to make decisions?

Take Aways:

Time is fluid, it can move slow or fast.

Energy is fluid, when you're doing what you love and are meant to be doing it takes a lot less energy.

Life Transitions can be overwhelming and feel tarry and overwhelming, leaving you exhausted. Can it be okay to trust that you'll know when it's time to make a decision?

Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) is a thing and can make keeping your boundaries tricky. When you say yes to please someone, you're saying no to yourself. Make sure to also please yourself and your parts.

Saying no takes practice.

It's only a problem if it bothers you.

Paying attention to your body and those subtle and not so subtle hints can be really useful as they point us to true North.

Enjoy - and thanks for joining me in making a difference, one Hiply moment at a time. Because when we heal ourselves, we heal the world.

Welcome to Let's Hiply this, the podcast all about the new fun Hiply language of love. This week we are going to revisit one of our favorite episodes so far where I talk with Patrick about how the words we use matter. I love this episode so much, it highlights how we can use the power of language to rewire some of our subconscious limiting beliefs. Enjoy and make sure to tune back in next Tuesday for a brand new Hiply Practice Episode with Mikayla.

Today I'm speaking with Patrick Hogan in New York. He's a coach for movement and life. We talk about how the words we use matter. That we're all socialized to use these fighting words without even knowing it.

Patrick starts with a confession that he's Not a Warrior. He questions the use of war on drugs, war on sickness, waging war within ourselves. Even Love Warrior has this undertone of fighting.

What if we can take the tar, or judgments, out of our words? Because the words we use matter.

Mama Hiply here and I dream of a world with more kindness, peace and love, where we are just as practiced in the use of loving language as we are in being reactive, blamy and judgmental. Join me in making a difference, one Hiply moment at a time.

Patrick has been thinking about these fighting words a lot, like when we are in opposition to something that's not love.

We are looking for new word ideas, that are for, not against, what we want. Listeners - if you have any ideas please let us know.

You will love this episode. Today I talk with trauma informed Elementum Life Coach Sarah Richardson. She sailed around the world for 4 years and has a lot to say about opening up possibilities and choices. We are in control of our life. There's always a choice point. We're making the impossible possible, when you voice your WIG - Wildly Impossible Goal - through that okay it becomes possible.

Viktor Frankl Quote - “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

When you take a tiny little bit of space, and expand that, there are options and choices.

Sarah's listener tip to reduce tarry feelings:

Stop, Drop and Regulate

Put hand on chest and take a nice long deep breath in

Acknowledge yourself

Exhale and feel the expansion of space in body.

Today we’ll be doing something a little bit different. We will be learning some new hiply tools and practicing Hiply - specifically practicing Hiply HiFi - which is like taking your mind to the gym. I call it Hifi - Hi fidelity, high vibration, raise your energy and vibration. It’s a fun and easy form of meditation I created based on proven meditation, visualization, manifestation and mind training techniques. Because why not make it fun and easy, what if it doesn’t have to be so hard.

Did you know that according to a survey by the American Psychology Association 60% of people believe that self improvement is too hard? And did you know that 97% of our thoughts and reactions are subconscious?

This means that almost all of our thoughts and reactions are not under our conscious control. This can be both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, it means that we are not constantly bombarded with the need to make decisions, we run on auto pilot. On the other hand, it means that we can be easily influenced by our subconscious biases and fears.

If you want to understand yourself better and make more conscious choices, it's important to be aware of your subconscious. How do we do that?
First it helps to pay attention to your thoughts and feelings.
Notice how you react to different situations. Try and identify any patterns in your thoughts and behaviors. Once you have awareness you can start questioning some of your thoughts and reactions. Is this really mine? Where did this thought come from?

HiFi Mini Meditation - or 3 breath meditation

Breathing in I calm my body
Breathing out I smile
Breathing in I know
It's okay and smile
Breathe in Hiply
Breathe out Tar

Hiply Joy Jingle - to check in and regulate and train your nervous system and rewire your brain and subconscious to Hiply.
Set an alarm on your phone (3 times a day) - check in with your body, mind, feelings, vibrations - do the 3 breath mini meditation if necessary. Teach your nervous system that you are safe.

This is how we train our subconscious thoughts. What is conscious and trained becomes automatic.

May you be Hiply happy and free.

Join me in making a difference, one Hiply Moment at a time. Because when we heal ourselves we help to heal the world. Happy summer everyone and see you next time.

Hello and welcome to Let's Hiply This, I am you host Claudia Williams. Today I speak with my friend Cecilia Mc Quinn who is a language teacher, linguist, librarian in Mexico and travel company owner. We discuss how using a new language can help us shift out of patterns, how learning a new language takes time and practice and touch on working through tarry feelings.

What if it doesn't have to be so hard? What if it's fun and easy? Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world.

Cecilia points out how different words and definitions inform our culture, emotions and how we feel about each other. For example, Spanish has an expression for the feeling of "being good together".

Cecilia's listener tip for when you're feeling tarry is to just go out and look around and notice and see all the love in the world.

Hello and welcome to Let's Hiply This, the podcast all about the new fun Hiply language of love. Today I've got a real treat for you with lots of actionable tips. I talk to fellow life coaches Briget and Becky about their stress reset course that they are creating. Their tools and modalities tie in nicely with the Hiply process. They talk about nervous system regulation, the window of tolerance and give lots of tips and quick relief tools for when you're feeling stressed and tarry. Enjoy!

Stress and tarry feelings are closely related. Bridget points out that awareness precedes change and choice. When you are showing up in the emotions of stress, overwhelm, frustration, anxiety, it doesn't feel like you have a lot of choice. There's these automatic behaviors and responses and I think that is where when you start to become more aware of some of these practices that we teach in the course, it gives you the ability to stop and pause and have awareness for what's happening in your body, what's happening around you what's happening as you create these thoughts, and it allows you to be able to to make a choice.

Accepting does not mean you're accepting what is happening but accepting how you're feeling.

Quick relief tool tips - shaking it out - get the energy out of the body, move, shake or dance, let the steam out and then move into downregulating breath.

Another relief tool: Boxed lion breath, which is box breathing with lion's breath combination.

We talk about survival patterns - which are related to the way we express when we feel overwhelmed and it's different for everyone. These patterns are installed in childhood, and Becky reminds us that you are not your patterns. The patterns are the leaving patterns, the merging pattern, the rigid pattern, the enduring pattern and the aggressive pattern.

Hello and welcome to let's hiply this, I am you host Claudia Williams. Today I welcome Patrick back to the show to practice hiply and work through tarry feelings around finding balance between work and play and dealing with the pressure of what we should be doing. Listen for the following hiply tools and concepts: tarry feelings point to unmet needs and blurry boundaries. The three basic Hiply needs are peace, love and freedom, listen for the hiply process to move through tarry feelings. And of course the ubiquitous and impossibly simple it's okay technique.

What if it doesn't have to be so hard? What if it's fun and easy? Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world.

Patrick is feeling tarry about finding the balance between his adventurous side and the more serious work part that tell him to stay focused and be responsible, do his marketing and outreach. He has so much to do on the business side and so much he should do.

We talk about finding your unmet needs? That need for both safety/peace and freedom/adventure. Can you give yourself permission to play and be okay with it? To not judge it as frivolous?

Patrick's biggest takeaway - to remind himself that whatever is happening - it's okay.

Be Hiply, Happy and Free.

I'm here today with Sorcha Wolnik, a fellow trauma informed life coach in New Zealand who works with Women who feel unfulfilled.

When Sorcha works with unfulfilled women she notes that the weeds the women are in can look different but the roots are typically the same. The weeds may look like parenting, career and relationships, but the roots are often unspoken rules and standards that make women feels all tangled up. The paradigm of the perfect mom, the good wife, the independent women - what even is that?

She talks about emotions and they don't need to be judged as wrong. She helps teach the new emotional language to girls when they are young.

She teaches women to regulate the nervous system, to come back into their body so they can hear themselves and tap into their intuition.

Anger can be sticky and tarry when we're actually feeling hurt or we're feeling sad or we're feeling scared. But we don't know how to be with those emotions. So we layer on some anger, we compound it with anger, and that anger I find disconnects or separates us from others. That's a secondary emotion because that's almost the tip of the iceberg that we're letting people see. You know, when we're irritable, when we're frustrated, when we're that kind of angry, and it drives people away, because under the surface of the water is actually fear or sadness. But there's other times that anger is the whole iceberg. You know, and then, you know, we almost can hold space for it. So I think being I don't want to say clear, but being able to ask yourself, Am I really angry or is there something else here for me? Am I actually scared? Where am I actually hurting? And if that's the case, you know, allow space for for those feelings to be held. You know, but if it's like, no, I really am really bloody angry. Then let's hold space for the anger.

Sometimes the force of our emotions is so great that we actually have to release before we can calm our nervous system.

Sorcha's listener tip - keep it simple!

I love this conversation with my friend and fellow life coach Tudie. She is feeling tarry about setting boundaries around living, working and bartering with her landlord. We talk about her needs, the universal hiply needs for love, peace and freedom. Listen for the following hiply tools and concepts, tarry feelings point to unmet needs and blurry boundaries. How do I determine what my needs are. the it's okay technique, and the concept of trying to stop fighting with reality.. The Hiply process says noticing is the first step and Acceptance is the second and most important step. Once we accept what is happening and stop fighting with reality, we create space for the third step - to get creative and try something different.

Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world. Join me in making a difference, one Hiply moment at a time.

Clean pain vs Dirty pain - clean pain is what's actually happening, dirty is the stories we tell ourselves.

Boundaries - what are your red flags, where is the line in the sand, how do you keep the bartering/ landlord/ childcare relationship clean.

Tudie needs boundaries around space, time and resources with her work/bartering situation.

Proactive communication - come up with systems so we can respect each other's boundaries.

3 basic needs of peace, love, freedom. Peace - space, Love - connection and Freedom is space and time to be yourself and do what you want.

My favorite Tudie quote - "This is not utopia, this is earth". And It's okay.

All Tudie wants is to shine a light, to know at the end of the day that she's shining a light.

Judging the judgment is like adding tar to tar, double extra sticky stuff.

Today I speak with AudreyTricot who has 20 years of experience in mediation and conflict resolutions - helping people listen to each other and find win-win solutions. I loved our conversation for so many reasons but my favorite part is the hiply bubble, a way to use hiply as a foundation, as a safe space, if you will, in conflict situations, can create a safety net for healthy discussions and resolutions. Healthy communication is paramount.

Because when we learn to have healthy conflict and resolutions we not only heal ourselves but help heal the world. Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time.

We talk about Glasl's Stages of conflict escalation and the importance of healthy conflict and using simple communication for conflict resolution. The words we use matter, let's be conscious of our words, fighting words escalate, how can we de-escalate?

Conflict is not always something you want to avoid, there would be no peace without war, but how you go into it is important.

Rules - For the Hiply Bubble

Step back, regulate slightly, check how the other person is (intuitively), is the other person able to listen to you? Both people need to be voluntarily willing to be in the conversation. For a mediated conversation make sure that each person talks for themselves (I statements and facts). Don't interrupt. Wait then ask questions. Maybe use a timer. Deep listening with the only intention to reduce the other person's tar. I'm feeling tarry, please help (is a call for help and a call for space and to be heard). It's a respectful conversation.

It's really interesting to question where you stand with conflict as a person, does it bring you energy or drain your energy. Do you shut down, back away, people please? Loose your voice, or are you more proactive, ready to go there. Are you conflict avoidant? Do you need help bringing up tense conversations?

In mediation it's okay to disagree but you have to agree on the fact that you are disagreeing. Then there's a way to move on, they can start building solutions, win wins, get creative, try something new. What would we do if we had a magic wand?

5 steps in the mediation/conflict resolutions circle -

The What - what is happening, The Why - why did we get there, The Agreement Step - agree to disagree, The Magic Wand Step, The Actions - how do we do this in real life.

We talk about Non Violent Communication (NVC) and how it inspired some of the Hiply Rules, Tools and Concepts. It starts with Facts, which is so hard because the emotions and wanting to be right is all mixed up in it.

Audrey's tip to work through tarry feelings: that first breath, awareness, take a step and breathe.

Welcome to Let's Hiply This, the show all about the new fun Hiply language of love. I am your host, Claudia Williams. Today I'm welcoming Devin back to the show to practice some Hiply, he was my very first guest on this podcast 6 months ago and he is back to work through some tarry feelings.

As we are practicing Hiply listen for the following Hiply Concepts and Tools - tarry feelings are here to guide us, they point us to blurred boundaries and unmet needs. the Inner Peace Self that is never triggered and can heal, calm and reassure all our parts. And I loved seeing Devin embracing the Hiply it's okay technique. Stop fighting, invite all the parts in, knowing it's okay, which takes some of the charge out and creates space. to breathe, to allow, to shift and move through. We finish up with the self forgiveness practice which is so beautiful and really encourages self compassion by accepting all of you, forgiving for beliefs and misunderstandings.

Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world. Enjoy the show.

Self Forgiveness Sentence Stems:

I forgive myself for the belief that ..... (for example for the belief that I'm doing something wrong)

I forgive myself for the misunderstanding that ..... (for example that things should be different)

Welcome to Let's Hiply this, the podcast all about the Hiply language of love. I'm your host, Claudia Williams and I'm speaking today with Krista Resnick, a fellow life coach and boundary expert. Listen for the following hiply tools and concepts, tarry feelings point to fuzzy boundaries and unmet needs. the Hiply Inner Peace Self, parts meetings, setting internal boundaries with our parts and being IP Self led and welcoming to all your parts, when the IP Self is in charge setting fierce boundaries comes easily. Enjoy.

I'm talking today to Boundary Expert Krista Resnick, fellow life coach and boundary expert. -

Krista became a boundary expert because she had no boundaries. She defines boundaries as something she likes to play with. There is no right or wrong way to define a boundary as it's so different for each of us. It's not just about being mean and saying no. One way to define boundaries is about being honest and in integrity with yourself. This is what I need, this is what I desire and want.

Boundaries are really grounded in what we need. If we don't know what we need we can't set boundaries. It's like throwing spaghetti at the wall. So, the first step is figuring out what I really need.

Krista also likes to explain boundaries and this is kind of taking it even one step deeper with this Victor Frankel quote: Between stimulus and response, there is a space and in that space is where our power lies. In our response lies our growth and our freedom. And so often people will find themselves in these situations where something really uncomfortable is happening. And we hate being uncomfortable.

We talk about internal boundaries with our parts.

I ask Krista what we judge about boundaries as a culture, she says boundaries are selfish, greedy, don't care about others. Putting tar (subconscious stories and tar onto boudaries) is not helpful. I'm curious if I want to come up with a new fresh word for boundaries that doesn't have these value judgments attached to it.

It's really about what am I saying yes to?

Boundaries are actually freedom!

Brene Brown says - clear is kind.

Welcome to Let's Hiply This, the show all about the new fun hiply language of love. I am your host, Claudia Williams. Today I'm practicing Hiply with Ben, who is feeling tarry about asking a girl out and the possible rejection that might go with this. I would venture that we all know this feeling. I very much empathize with him. As we are practicing Hiply listen for the following Hiply Concepts and Tools - the parts meeting, the Inner Peace Self that is never triggered and can heal, calm and reassure the parts.

We talk about the concept of leaning into what you resist - because what you resist persists. We talk about the worst case scenario - because bringing things into the light can help us move through. We try some breathing to calm down and the Hiply it's okay technique to reduce anxiety.

Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world. Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time.

Ben is worried about losing his friendship with this girl. He's feeling some anxiety and weight on his chest that is definitely not helpful. He leaves this Hiply practice feeling a whole lot better and wanting to think about all the good things that are happening in his life and all the things that excite him.

Welcome to Let's Hiply This. Today I speak with Kari Schwear, a fellow life coach and we get into nuances and gray zones, not just with alcohol but all things gray - where are you settling in your life? What are you doing that is distracting you from your best life.

Listen for the following concepts and Hiply tools. The Hiply Process, the 80/20 rule, taking radical responsibility and self acceptance for your life, the Inner Peace Self, connected to the divine and is never triggered. It helps to befriend the parts of us that we don't like. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world. Join me in making a difference, one Hiply Moment at a time.

Kari used to be an executive at Porsche and had her low point with her alcohol consumption and became a life coach and founded Gray Tonic to identify and spread information about gray area drinking, The space between severely abusing and only drinking from time to time.

She talks about gray zones, and how to move out of living that gray life. Whether it's with your marriage, or your relationship with your kids, or the career that you no longer want to be in? Particularly if they have their own business and they're just, you know, they're successful. They have the money. You know, they have all the outward stuff, but they're not happy inside. And so how do we move them out? Of those gray areas? And, and the secret is finding that internal inner peace. Most people aren't doing that work.

Map of Consciousness - get from your protective state to an expansive state. Getting back to gratitude and receivership. And feeling connected at a soulful level, the Inner Peace Self is never triggered. It's helpful to befriend the parts of us that we don't like and that creates space for change.

Kari talked about the power to Decide Process. We speak about the power of forgiveness and self-forgiveness. And ends with a listener tip to reduce tarry feelings.

Today I'm practicing Hiply with Patrick who is feeling tarry about launching an online course and worried about no one showing up. Listen for the following Hiply tools - The Hiply It's Okay Technique, The Hiply Process, The 80/20 Rule, The Inner Peace Self and Hiply Parts Meetings. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world.

Patrick is having thought loops with his parts that are afraid and wondering why he's even doing this if nobody cares and nobody comes. If he can find a way to be okay with the thoughts that immediately creates some space for new thoughts and ideas.

Now he can see other aspects and realizes that it's also fun for him. He likens it to being an artist that makes a beautiful painting but then puts it in the closet where nobody can see it.

Of course, you're "Shoulding" because you want to sell more and you want to be motivated, that I also have in hiply, the 80/20 rule that I like to reference and it applies to all kinds of things but like, tar or judgment, judgments and evaluations and so on are good 80% of the time, when we're regulated when we're productive when we're getting things done.

We talk about having a parts meeting when making big decisions and bringing all the parts along for the ride. Patrick likens his parts to Winnie the Pooh characters, Eyore, Tigger and Rabbit.

Patricks biggest takeaway is recognizing that tarry feelings aren't necessarily something to be pushed through or tackled, which he readily believes when he's not feeling tarry. However, when he's in it, it's hard to remember that there is another way of dealing with it. And that is to pay attention to and sit with the feelings first before trying to solve the problems.

I am here today with a certified trauma informed master money coach, her name is Alison Rayner. Our culture has taught us a lack mentality about money which often causes tarry feeling and lots of shoulding. Alison helps us sort through this with some tangible tips to feel better about money.

Money is not finite, money is energy, and knowing that changes everything. When we show up and in a good energy and we show up in a way that we're you know, attracting positive positivity and attracting good energy people, people that we connect with. Money isn't finite money does come in, in a different way, but can see how that kind of that limited mentality, that limiting belief can really come from something very, very simple, that we don't even think about as important and it can change the way we see our lives and how we treat money in general.

The number one killer of attaining more money in any situation, no matter what socio economic status you hold, is urgency and urgency can be very real. Like if you are in a space in your life where you are living in a survival mode. You're really chasing the basic needs of life like shelter, clothing, food.

Alison ties it all back to the wealth values, to figure out what's valuable to you. Because that takes away the urgency of the money and it gives you tangible things to work towards, that are feeding your soul if you will. Instead of money feeling tarry. When you're intentional about your goals and basing it on your values it's a whole different story.

Alison recommends that instead of creating urgency and panicking to look at all your finances, bills etc, and sort it into buckets and get intentional about what meets your values and what doesn't. It's almost like shining some light into the shadow because so many of us have like the head in sand around the money. Like if I ignore it, maybe I don't have to worry about it. But it doesn't go away until you bring it out of the shadow and shine a light on it and get intentional about it.

It's Tuesday and we're practicing Hiply today. I'm here with Anita who is feeling tarry with her job as a realtor and dealing with low quality leads. We work on ways to move from lack to abundance and Anita identifies some parts of her that might be blocking her from moving in the right direction. She gets to accept and love on those parts from her Inner Peace Self. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world, one Hiply moment at a time.

Anita likes the freedom and autonomy of running her own business but is feeling tarry about "having" to work with low quality leads. I was in real estate for 20 years and I can relate, instead of having one boss it can feel like you have 100 (all the potential clients and colleagues and the brokerage putting demands on her etc).

It's coming from a money mindset lack, how can she feel more abundant? What parts need to come on board. Attract the people that are meant to work with her.

She wants to regulate her nervous system and work with affirmations. There are plenty of people to work with.

If we're not in the right mindset we end up attracting the wrong thing.

Anita starts talking about her parts, she wants to make all this money and has this little ambitious part that wants to be productive and she wants to go conquer the world. She also has an adventurous part that wants to go on these adventures but then there's this cool like this other part showed up recently. It's a part that wants to contribute. And this one has a polarized inner critic part.

I find it's sometimes helpful to consider the worst case scenario. To really bring the fear out into the light.

She end our session feeling so much lighter and grateful and ready to go conquer her business. She has a light and open energy about her.

Today I'm speaking with Adam Golden Eagle about stepping into living your most authentic life - and my favorite part is talking to him about harnessing your anger and turning into rocket fuel.

Listen for the following Hiply tools, Catch the Hiply feeling and find your Inner Peace self, the It's Okay technique and the feeling word tar, which always point to and unmet need, which I reframe the three hiply universal longings, peace, love and freedom.

Adam defines an authentic life by really showing up to your soul calling each and every day and having the courage to really deeply listen to that calling.

Adam's healing journey has been that of a warrior or wizards. He has been called to alchemize and transmute a lot of traumatic experiences from an early childhood stage. He has lived in nine different countries, and grew up in a dysfunctional family.

We talk about the Inner Peace Self, that is connected to the Divine, and all the parts of us, that carry cultural shame and burdens or all varieties. We can learn to speak kindly to all our parts. How we speak to ourselves is how we show up in the world.

Adam has benefited from therapy and has been blessed from being connected with powerful spiritual teachers, in Italy, and from Tibbetan Buddhism. Self compassion and total self acceptance.

Adam points out that there's not only external freedom but an infinite internal freedom. What if we could actually realize that inside ourselves, we have a whole multiverse of space and time and possibilities.? What if this is happening for me and not to me?

When we run into a tarry situation with ourselves or with others we can show more internal compassion and show up with curiosity and creativity. Conflict is an opportunity for growth. Tarry feelings point to unmet needs and help us figure out how to shift things. Old patterning and programming comes in that says I'm right and you're wrong, which means we have to defend, judge instead of figuring out what is going on.

Adam has learned and teaches how to feeling into those tarry feelings, really be with the anger and transmute it and alchemize it into rocket fuel and summarizes is as follows:

  1. Realization - that you are having the experience
  2. Compassion - cultivate compassion for self - it's ok not to be ok.
  3. Make sure your basic needs are met, take action to meet those needs for self, time, space
  4. Be humble and vulnerable to see what the emotion is showing you, why is this happening FOR me.

It is courageous to be humble and vulnerable and to get curious instead of act out on the anger. That gives us the courage and power to be there hero of our own journey (instead of the victim).

Today is Tuesday and we are practicing Hiply with Jill who is frustrated with feeling low energy and wants to learn how to conserve her energy. Pay attention to the following Hiply tools, the Hiply process to shift something, the Hiply it's okay technique, to pay attention to our parts that are feeling tarry and love on them and let them know it's okay. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world. Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time. Enjoy the show.

Energy is so important to our well being because it's our life force. Jill wants to try to find her own things, take a beat when she needs it, go outside and get her feet into the ground, look at the sky and take in the healing energy of nature. She finds ways to explore. I give her permission to try it all and do it all. She will check in and love on all her parts.

Consider my favorite mantra - life is fun and easy and there's plenty of time for everything.

It's just life being lifey. And it's okay. There is time, there is time for everything.

She sees the value of shifting the words that she's using.

A step she can try is to really stop and take a beat, acknowledge and accept the low energy and ask herself 'what do you need right now'? And she wants to approach herself with more kindness.

She feels lighter and good about having a practical step to move forward with, having unpacked the tarriness.

Her biggest takeaway is that her low energy is telling her something and instead of judging it she wants to check in and see what she needs. Perhaps she needs rest. Perhaps she needs some grounding. Perhaps she needs breath. Perhaps she needs some music. There are multiple ways to satisfy and to pay attention to her.

Instead of getting mad that she's letting everything around her zap her energy. She can put that shield around her, and check in with herself.

Jill wanted to shift her energy and we talked about using the hiply process, where the 1st step noticing, she notices the energy is low and notices the tar and shoulding around it. the 2nd step really accepting where you are instead of bypassing (the tar keeps us from accepting), her move is to love on the tarry parts and really accept it. 3rd step get curious and creative about solutions, try something different, without bypassing. Try more rest, listening to her body and taking a beat when she needs it, and some mindset work. Call in the life force high energy she so desires. Remind herself that there's plenty of time for everything.

Today I speak with fellow Elementum Master life coach Tamy Erle. She helps moms reclaim themselves, find their inner wild child, and find that inner peace, which is right on brand for Hiply.

We talk about how to allow for tar and how to reduce tar, about the Hiply 80/20 rule. Also listen for how you can access and find that inner peace within you. Because when we heal the world we heal ourselves.

Tamy lost her cousin and best friend to cancer and found herself in a dark place. She found hope through therapy and life coaching and learned how to find some inner peace.

I've lived most of my life having the limiting belief: If everyone around me is happy I am happy. What if that's not true. Happiness is an inside job.

80/20 rule - it applies to all kinds of things. We have the human condition, so that means a negativity bias from way back, to keep us safe and help us fight or flight. So we are prone to focus 100% of our attention on the 20% of things that aren't going great. What if we focus only 20% on what's happening?

Tamy reminds us that when we can tap into our hiply inner peace self and make decisions and act from that place more often, our life would naturally flow so much easier. Then you act from your inner peace self instead of based on external patterns and external expectations.

There is nothing wrong with wanting peace outside, in the home and with the kids, but that peace comes from the inside. When mom is at peace that peace can spread to the whole family.

It's an exciting ride to constantly be in the journey of growing and like learning and discovering something new about ourselves and something new that we can overcome.

It's amazing to when you can figure out how to be in the low and be okay with it. Be like, oh, yeah, I'm growing. Look at me. I'm doing it right. I mean, it's when you get there that has acceptance.

Listener Tip - Tamy's favorite way to get out of a tarry situation?

Instead of trying to push through, or avoid and ignore it, it's really about taking a moment and be with the feeling. Just drop in and really be like with what it is like, see what is coming forward for me. Sometimes they might be sad like, oh, I feel sad. And there doesn't have to be a reason of why you feel sad. Just be with the sadness, let your tears come. Let them flow without judgment without any of them with just compassion.

Today I'm exploring tarry feelings and practicing Hiply today with Brinley. Listen for the following hiply tools, temper tantrum 1 min journaling technique, the Inner peace self that is here to heal and love on all your parts, because what you resist persists. Enjoy the show.

She shares that she doesn't always have confidence in her appearance. The ruminating is the epitome of Tar.

She loves walking the dog and bilateral movement to create positive energy and experiences. Yoga also helps everything, and so does journaling. Just getting the tarry thoughts out of your head?

Oversharing and vulnerability hangover can feel tarry. She is noticing that oversharing comes from a need to not be lonely and feel loved. Parts can become polarized or blend with the Inner Peace Self. All the inner children parts just want to feel seen and hear and loved and the Inner Peace Self can spontaneously provide that and help heal. If we fight with it, it just get's bigger and that's what I call tar. Because you're judging the part and it's getting defensive.

We talk about being so judgmental and shamy of our body, which is unfortunate. Brinley is frustrated with her stomach, and she also realizes it's an amazing strong powerful part of her body. I let her know that she has a part that is carrying the female cultural burden and expectation of having a flat stomach. What if it's meant to be healthy? I both love my stomach and still wish I had less of a stomach.

As Mama Hiply I get to mother all my younger parts, inner children and those around me.

It's all simple in theory and so hard to do in real life.

Lazy girl workout, lazy girl journaling. Doable and bite sized hiply things to focus on. Hiply mindful hikes.

Brinley's biggest take away is paying attention to those tarry parts and withholding judgment and addressing them in doable, bite sized pieces.

Today I speak with Erin Harrell , who is a mental health counselor and specializes on taking care of caregivers of elders and people that are dying which is such important work.

I love this conversation so much because it becomes clear how a challenging situation is not all bad but can be an powerful opportunity and invitation for personal growth.

Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world. Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time.

Hiply is not just positivity but also recognizing the human condition in all of us. It recognizes all the feelings.

We talk about catching the Hiply energy, finding the life force, to find the inner peace, being in the reflective and awareness place and that alone is cause for celebration.

Erin has tips on how to work through tarry situations, set boundaries, and come up with a simple phrase to repeat to deescalate, to recognize where they come from, validate their feelings and restate the boundary.

What lights her up is to help caregivers talk about and have awareness about being in the world with their own value system.

Time Stamps

4:00 Things are workable, allowing for flexibility to figure things out, make it workable (from Buddhism)

5:10 For care givers that notion of what they should be doing or what they thought it should be like, that bar of judgment and critiquing makes it worse.

6:12 I like to use the word neutrality a lot, let's just try neutral. What would it take to get to that place of balance.

9:00 The inner peace self has that playful creative energy to it.

15:05 Erin's course for care givers helps them have a larger emotional vocabulary and encourage mindful awareness and use that when the irritation rises.

16:12And works with triggers and better communication skills.

18:36 Repeat the same phrase to help enforce the boundary and validate the others feeling as well.

21:00 Caregiving is an intense opportunity for personal growth. It brings up the big question of what are we doing here.

23:00 Type one and type two fun, four parts that influence your happiness. Sometimes we have to feel bad for a bit to have the atmosphere of growth. Challenges have meaning.

28:00 expanding our perspective, can be so helpful. increasing our connection between physical awareness and the thoughts. Get curious.

Today is Tuesday and we've got a Hiply Practice about Relationship Tar for you. Thank you Mike for showing up so vulnerably and coachable. Mike brings a lot to the table and there's only so much we can do in a 20 minute podcast session and he is able to make a shift and find some inner peace. As you're listening to my session with Mike, pay attention to Hiply tools. There is Self Hiply, where we speak kindly to ourselves, and also the Hiply Process, where the first step to making any change is noticing and awareness of what is happening. The second step is acceptance. Really being with and accepting what is happening, loving on that tarry part, instead of fighting it. Then there is some space for the final step, to get curious and creative. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world.

Notable Shifts in Mike:

Mike is frustrated with his relationship with a female, he's afraid he's not going to be able to get his needs met, yet he does want to make it work.

Mike gets to know his frustrated part and get's to pay attention to it and love on it, from the space of his Inner Peace Self, which is connected to the divine and always at peace. When we get triggered it's always a part, the IP Self doesn't get triggered, it's your true nature and is there to heal and love on all you parts.

We work on some ways to make him feel less tarry with the situation he might find himself in.

Toward the end of our conversation he feels more calm, his blood pressure is down and his biggest takeaway is to acknowledge his frustration, love on the frustration and learn more about that emotion and what it what it's trying to show me.

Today I'm airing an interview of Mama Hiply on the Path to Podcast success podcast. Evan Johnson interviews me and gives me a chance to speak about the new fun Hiply Language of Love I've created. I get to give an example of speaking hiply, and introduce a few Hiply tools. Enjoy the show.

Time Stamps:

2:56 Example fo speaking Hiply

5:12
What inspired Claudia to create Hiply

6:15
Hiply deep listening - listen with the only intention of reducing the other persons tar.

7:21
The Hiply Podcast, where does that come in? I want this language to be a living thing and keep developing and testing it and a podcast is the perfect platform to do that. We practice, test and hone in on making it the very best it can be. And then the book is next.

9:32
The Hiply Podcast is light and conversational, it's helpful and puts people into a better mindset.

11:11 actional advice from Claudia - when you're feeling tarry (suffering from thoughts about thoughts) take some breaths, clear your mind, go inside, find the part that is most upset with the situation. Find your inner peace part and let the upset tarry part vent. And love on it. Let the emotion flow through. Love on and listen to the parts you don't want to listen to. What you resist persists, let the tarry feeling move through and make space for new things.

It's Tuesday so today we practice Hiply. I'm here with Diane who is feeling tarry about showing up on social media without fear. I can certainly relate with her and I'm sure most of us can. We decide that the key is to just do it messy, because perfect is the enemy of getting things done.

We speak about the challenges of being social on social media. We practice Hiply and work through the tarry feelings that some of us (or all of us?) have when it comes to posting and showing up on social media. Diane would like to stop hiding and show up more on social media, she would like to be a person who participates, connects and engages and not be afraid of taking risks.

Diane would like to stop hiding put herself out there and take those risks and share what I have to share

We talk about just doing it messy. And getting it done. Perfect is the enemy of getting things done.

After talking it through, sorting through some of the judgments and stories, and giving herself permission to do it messy Diane intends to post on Friday, and post once a week.

It is Friday so I'm speaking to an expert about Hiply. Every Tuesday we practice Hiply and every Friday we talk to experts or do Hiply Theory.

Notable Quotes:

So, what should we do instead of the fighting words? I think, for me, this is where I've landed on. And this came from my studies in our studies with Martha Beck is something more akin to Wayfinder.

Why does a peaceful thing, like yoga, have a Warrior pose?

So in sports, there's competition, you and me. But even with how we work with our own selves, we carry over that same thing. We start to treat ourself as an enemy, and that's where I think the biggest problem lies. It's that we conceive of health as something that needs to be won, or conquered, or that all the natural instincts of our body need to be suppressed and pushed down.

It's a reminder that we're not in competition with ourselves. We are actually trying to cooperate and coregulate with our own bodies, our own selves. Our own bodies can have a lot of wisdom to help guide us where we want to go. Even just in the mundane examples, like, say, your ego wants you to get up and run five miles in the morning, but you wake up and your body does not want to get up. A lot of people have value judgment on that, that says you're being lazy, and you've got to go out and get them and just do it and all that kind of stuff. But there might be a lot of lot of wisdom into maybe you don't have didn't have enough sleep, and maybe you need to take care of yourself. And maybe your body's trying to tell you that or maybe you just simply deal with their body in a way that's not so punishing, you know, or critical.

Today we practice Hiply with Rose, who is in the process of finding her true nature, going through a separation and divorce and feeling tarry about how she relates to the people around her, including herself. She's sensitive to other peoples energies and wants to be more centered, grounded and less reactive.

She has come to the right place, Hiply is all about practicing loving language, and taking care and regulating ourselves and our nervous system.

We talk about the window of tolerance, regulating our nervous system and self care.

We bring in Rose's inner peace Self to tend to her triggered and tarry parts to bring her relief. She felt lighter, a column of light and found her inner peace. From that place she has options.

We talk about deescalating in volatile situations by getting in touch with that IP Self. About not judging the tarry parts and being there for them. The Hiply 80/20 rule talks about us spending 80% of our time thinking about the 20% that's not perfect, not working, not the way we want it. What if we could spend 80% of our time noticing the 80% of things that are going Hiply and call that perfect?

I tell Rose about the one minute rant to get out of a tarry situation. Get a piece of paper, set a time for 1 minute and rant - write down everything you hate about the situation, got full 2 year old tantrum. Go wild. After a minute, there will be some space and peace. There are options.

Find your brave wise woman inside you, with Jen Legaspi, certified coach, yoga teacher and author of the book "Brave Wise Woman".

Lessons about Jen's healing journey. Who am I really? Do I really love who I am? How do I come into my power. How do I practice bravery every day. What are the parallels to the Hiply Language of Love.

Once you find that place of truth inside of you, you really have no choice but to honor it, to be brave and to live as an expression of our true and authentic self.

The Hiply IP (inner peace) Self is like the inner brave wise woman. Parts of us get triggered, the IP Self is never triggered, is always at peace.

Notable Quotes:

When we learn to reparent our inner child we get to draw on our inner Mother (who is like the IP Self). We can speak kind to ourself, show love to all of us and spontaneously heal ourselves.

It's not so much about whether it's right or wrong but whether it's useful.

The way you do one thing the way you do everything.

Vision of creating a peaceful world. We need more peace keepers in this world that are helping to build bridges.

The concept of regulation as a prerequisite of communication

Hiply Language as a cycle breaker. Easy and disarming without judgments to get to calm.

Listener Tip from Jen:

Practice to work with negative thoughts - ask the question - I wonder what my next thought is going to be? To stop and create space. A little pattern interupt.

Today we talk to Shaheen who is transitioning from her 9 to 5 job to being self employed. Even though it's something she wants to do she sometimes has tarry feelings about it, is afraid she won't make enough money, won't be motivated and is struggling trusting that all will work out.

She is worried that her art will change now that she's doing it for money. Her relationship to money really is the underlying thought.

How can we work with our limiting money beliefs? So it doesn't feel so tarry?

Listen to Let's Hiply This and find out how to work with limiting beliefs, overcome the tarry feelings and just feel more Hiply.

Notable Quotes:

3:32 "I'd like to celebrate you for making that decision and showing up for yourself and for your passion."

8:21. "What if? What if this time is different? What if you get to do exactly the jewelry you want? And you get to attract exactly the people that want exactly that? And they want to pay what you're worth?"

11:31 " Shaheen is excited. Money flows where energy and excitement is."

14:00 " Because even when I say those fears out loud, I know they're wrong. You know, I know it's not true. That's protection."

15:14 " Parts Meeting - imagined it like a board meeting. Yeah. Yeah. And yeah, there's all the different parts. That's pretty cool. I like need to have a board meeting?

Shaheen comes up with ways to stay motivated, some steps to take when she's not feeling like working and baby steps to get where she wants to be.

24:00 "Shaheen like the pathway that we have. And, you know, I really appreciate what you said about , it's not good or bad, or not negative. Even when you have these limiting thoughts, they're still your thoughts and just, you know, saying thank you and okay, and just acknowledging that these are parts of you that have helped you in the past. And so it's not something we just need to completely disregard and say, I'm not gonna listen to you. It's like, Hey, I love you. You've helped me let's see how we can, you know, still create this harmony and symbiotic relationship with what's coming up.

In this bonus episode Sarah Richardson interviews Claudia Williams, Mama Hiply, for her Big and Possible Podcast.

Notable Quotes:

Hiply is a language of love and a state of being.

Speaking Hiply is a playful way to interact with self help and coaching and can be beneficial in that it leaves preconceived notions behind.

How many words does the Hiply Language have?
Right now, there's Hiply, which has five different meanings. There's self hiply, which is using hiply. on yourself. Tar has two meanings, the IP self which is the inner peace self, which is your higher self inside you, but I found this word self so confusing, because it's used in so many different words. ways. So inner peace, self is IP self. Deep listening - listening with the only intention to reduce the other persons tar. Loving Speach.Sarah wonders about a hiply board game - what would that look like?

Sarah acknowledges Claudia and presences that sometimes the hardest thing we can do is simplifying a very complicated thing. She's acknowledging the path Claudia is taking and celebrating what powerful possibilities are connected deeply to this work. She sees Claudia embodying the playfulness of coaching and spreading love and light in the world.

Hiply Fun with Becky

Today I'm discussing tarry situations with fellow Elementum Life Coach Becky Humphrey. She moved to Costa Rica after first shifting her internal world then deciding she needs an external shift as well. We normalize value judgments on feelings and appreciate the new language of Hiply and Tar that doesn't have these judgments attached to it.

Notable Quotes:

Reframing conflict as an opportunity instead of threat. "Conflict really means that you care enough to bring what's bothering you forward, in an attempt, I think, to be seen, and to resolve it and, and come back together to love."

"I love that the concept here of like, accepting what is, right and accepting the fact that we're human, and we're gonna feel tarry sometimes, and that, that being able to, like, not be fighting that and not be adding all the judgment on top of it like that makes the situation that's already perhaps uncomfortable, and it takes it to a darker space. So can you be with what's there? And allow yourself to feel it, so that then you can heal it?"

Becky's listener try this at home tip:

Get the tar out of your head and onto paper - just write it all down then go back and look at the I statements, feeling words, and acknowledge it without the judgment and stories.

Riding the Hiply Wave with my little brother, surfer and surf shop owner, Robert Stehlik, in Hawaii. We talk about the struggle of balancing what we want when even when it gets hard to accomplish, like posting a youtube video every week. We practice hiply to recognize that the things that make us happy in the long run don't always make us happy in the moment. According to Gretchen Rubin, there's four things that influence our happiness. It's feeling good, feeling bad. Being in an atmosphere of growth, and being in your integrity. For example, feeling like you're doing the right thing. So feeling good is easy. When you're feeling good, you're happy. But sometimes in order to do the right thing to be in your integrity, which in your case would be posting every day you have to like feel bad for a minute as you get going on posting the video or working on the video shooting the video. Yeah, and then you want the atmosphere of growth, which also does not always feel great in the moment, but you know, that's who you want to be as a person. So just sort of reframing Hey, It's okay, I'm feeling a little bad right now. That's normal. That's okay. Instead of charging the feeling bad, which I think is what we so often do, because that's what we're socialized to do.

Notable Quotes:
(4.47) I'm trying to do is sort of combine and make more accessible all The things I've learned in the last few years as I'm going through life coach, I have gone through life coach training. Now I have 400 hours of practice coaching and training. And what I found is that some of the modalities and ideas are a little bit clunky, a little bit hard to follow. So I'm trying to simplify it a little bit, normalize it, and I came up with some new words and new concepts to sort of help understand the human condition, if you will, to understand what's happening to us to know that you're, it's okay, nothing wrong with you, life is messy, things come up.

(8.56) Things that make us happy in the long run don’t always make us happy in the moment.

Parts Work, the IP Self and Internal Boundaries This is part two of a two part episode. Today we're talking about internal boundaries. We're joined by Christine Dixon, an educational therapist, and IFS Trainer.

Christine starts by defining internal boundaries and how they can be used to create a self-led plan for achieving our goals. She explains how internal boundaries can help us listen to our inner parts and be more aware of what's happening inside us instead of reacting automatically when something happens.

Christine talks about the importance of noticing our triggers and realizing that the self never gets triggered. When you’re triggered it’s always a part of us.

Christine also shares her insights on the fact that different parts of us may hate each other and how we can try to get rid of our judgmental parts by noticing if our part is judgmental if it's judging another part of ourselves or someone else.

Christine shares her top tips on building habits to check in on your parts regularly. She explains how this can help you to be more aware of your internal boundaries and how it can help you to maintain them. Tune in!

  • “When our parts blend with the Self and take over they can become extreme”.
  • “A lot of people try to get rid of their judgmental or tarry parts by being judgmental of them. But, as Martin Luther King says, you can’t drive out hate with hate, only love can do that. Or you can't drive out darkness with darkness. Only light can do that.”

Transforming Your Life Through Self Hiply and IFS: How Compassion and Creativity Can Lead to Inner Peace
Today we're joined by Christine Dixon, Education therapist, and IFS Trainer. She describes herself as a wounded healer leading other wounded healers into the house of Love so we can heal the world". After experiencing the healing of life-long physical and emotional wounds, Christine naturally began to share this "good news" with anyone who would listen. She now finds great joy and purpose as an IFS educator and group facilitator. Christine shares her experiences and expertise as well as walk us through a book review of "No Bad Parts," a self-help book by Dr. Schwartz, the founder of IFS.

The secret to health and happiness is learning to respect, comprehend, and love every individual who makes up our internal family. When we heal ourselves we heal the world.

Inner peace refers to mental and emotional calmness and serenity. It is a state of being where one can let go of negative thoughts and emotions and embrace positive ones. Teaching loving language to children is an important aspect of parenting and nurturing their emotional growth. It involves expressing love and affection in words and actions and showing them how to do the same towards others. Children learn from what they see and experience, so parents must lead by example and show them how to express love in various ways. This can include verbal affirmations, physical affection, and acts of kindness. For instance, telling a child "I love you" or hugging them and kissing can help them understand that they are loved and valued.

In addition to expressing love, teaching children how to receive love and affection is essential. This includes learning how to express gratitude and appreciation and how to accept compliments and positive feedback. In this episode, we are joined by Lauren Hidalgo, a designer, life coach, and yoga teacher, to talk about how we can teach the language of love to our kids. Don’t miss a thing on this. Tune in to learn more!

  • “Nobody is broken. We might be wounded, we might have pain or unmet needs, but nobody is broken even if they are behaving tarry.”
  • “Happiness is an inside job. However, we are not taught how to be kind to ourselves.”

Self-love is an important aspect of mental and emotional well-being. It involves caring for and valuing oneself and is a necessary foundation for healthy relationships with others. However, many people struggle with an inner critic that constantly undermines their self-worth and confidence. Dealing with this inner critic requires acknowledging its existence, understanding where it came from, and learning to challenge and replace negative self-talk with more compassionate and affirming thoughts.

With practice, it is possible to cultivate self-love and silence the inner critic, leading to a greater sense of self-acceptance and self-worth. In this episode, we are joined by Zoe Binnie, a life coach in England who also works as a Manager in an international airline. Zoe and I talk about self hiply. How to talk positively to yourself and deal with the inner critic. Tune in to learn more about this and other exciting topics!

Peace and love are fundamental values for human flourishing and happiness. They are also values deeply ingrained in many religions, spiritual traditions, and philosophical systems throughout history. At the heart of these traditions is the belief that we are all connected and meant to live in harmony with one another and the world around us. This belief stems from the idea that we are all part of a greater whole, and that our well-being is interconnected with the well-being of others.

Living in peace and love requires understanding, compassion, and forgiveness. It means resolving conflicts peacefully and treating others with kindness and respect. In this episode, we are joined by Brenda Lee Nelson, a Lightworker Spiritual Teacher, Wayfinder, and Life Design Coach specializing in helping people access the life of their dreams. Brenda and I talk about what Hiply speakers believe to be true in making the world more peaceful and loving. Tune in to learn more about this and other exciting topics!

[11:54] 6# Life is messy, and it’s okay

[14:23] 9# Conflict is an opportunity for growth and connection

[15:53] 10# Deep listening is like the super highway to win-win. Listen with curiosity and hiply with the only intention of reducing the other person’s suffering

Hiply Meditations and Visualizations are a great way to soothe and regulate your nervous system and feel at peace.

The fact that meditation generates changes in our awareness is what makes it so effective. Many people identify too strongly with their thoughts and feelings, which prolongs them and makes them seem larger than life. For days, we can suffer from certain ideas or emotions; stress, worry, and sadness are just a few of the issues resulting from such pervasive thoughts and strong emotions. It's critical to understand that our thoughts and feelings are not who we are, and we should understand that we are merely the conduits through which they flow when we regularly meditate.

Although we are the awareness that experiences things, we are not required to identify with them. We start to feel more powerful than our ideas and feelings, and we regain control. We learn how to step back and achieve inner calm when things are tough.

Today's guest on the podcast is Donna, a life coach and multi-passionate businesswoman who specializes in teaching visionary businesses and the visualization and meditation attitude. In her daily life experiences, Donna will discuss how meditation has helped her maintain a cool, controlled attitude.

Notable Quotes

  • Using my voice through meditation, which is one of the healing aspects that I've used to overcome depression and suicidal tendencies and eating disorders, and all the multitude of things that I went through in my life, including the loss of my husband to cancer at a young age, all of that was healed by self-work.
  • When we shower ourselves with the gift of attention, love as attention, and be mindful of what we're feeling at any moment, I'm a huge proponent of that, which was a huge part of my healing process.
  • What if, in a Hiply way, we can all be seen, heard, understood, and connected instead of being so polarizing? This is good; that is bad.
  • Hiply could be like the foundation of the connection between people. So yes, there may be a sort of polarized way of thinking, and at the same time, there's a foundation that connects us all.
  • For me, one of the greatest healing mechanisms that I use is sharing. So when I share my upset or my pain in a non-violent way, in a connected way, where I'm speaking from, how I'm feeling, when I get this out of my system, that's my way to regulate.
  • One of my first conversations with my partner was that crying for me is like washing my face; it's cleansing. Let me cry; let it come through; I will heal faster.
  • We're changing the world one energy at a time. So if we shift our internal state, we can resonate that out.
  • We're so inundated by these social media sources that we lose contact with our internal intuition or guidance. To bring back that calm, I highly suggest people just turn off their phones and put them away. Don't glance at them for 10 minutes and spend time in na
