SafeKept is a fully independent, touring rock band from central Ohio. Since early 2014, the band has performed over 400 concerts and events all over the mid-west and east coast. SafeKept has released two EP's; Remarkable (2015) and Modern Mortals (2018). From these EP's, a total of four singles have reached dozens of stations on national Christian rock radio all over the US and Canada. SafeKept's new EP is coming in Fall 2024.

Today's show I sit down and talk to Rapper DaMAC, Resurrection Record's new artist.
Who is Damac? The ministry began in 2007 after Michael Lacoste accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior. It happened in his dorm room at the University of Missouri – Columbia. With a newfound faith, and a passion for youth, his mission became clear: create art that magnifies Jesus and influences the youth. How would he accomplish this? By breaking boundaries and blending different genres of music. In other words, he wanted to make Deeply Anointed Music About Christ (Damac). His first concerts were in front of small groups of students, usually at local youth centers and retreats. The size of the crowd did not matter at all; it was all about sharing Jesus.
Since then, Damac has gone on to do great things in Christian music. Damac has released seven albums (Immaculate, Climactic, Supremacy, Journey, The Elephant in the Room, Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil, and For Mama Mac) selling over 10,000 copies independently. In 2011, he was the New Band Showcase Winner at Cornerstone Christian Music Festival. In 2011 & 2012, he was a part of The Extreme Tour, a national Christian music tour. Also in 2011 & 2012, Damac was co-headliner/co-organizer of The Hipster-Hop Tour, a 20 city stop tour. In 2013, Damac signed a recording contract with Rottweiler Records, an independent music label. In 2014, he organized The Supremacy Tour, a 20 city stop tour. In 2015, Damac opened for Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and American Idol Season 11 Finalist, Colton Dixon. In 2016, Damac was co-headliner/co-organizer of The Make Jesus Famous Tour, an 8 city stop tour. Damac has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Christian music today, such as David Crowder, NF, Sidewalk Prophets, Micah Tyler, Jordan Felix, KB, Cory Asbury, Sho Baraka, Canon, Britt Nicole, Seventh Day Slumber, Building 429, FF5, Tenth Avenue North, Trip Lee, Derek Minor, We Are Messengers, Plumb, Gungor, Propaganda, and Lecrae. Since 2016, Damac has worked with 2x - Grammy and Dove Award nominated producer, Jonny Grande, to produce his albums “Journey”, "The Elephant in the Room", "Hear no Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil," and "For Mama Mac." Jonny Grande has produced for artists such as Jason Derulo, Ty Dolla $ign, George Clinton, Ke$ha, Zauntee, Toby Mac, Steven Malcolm (Word Records), and Tony Tillman (RMG). In 2024, Damac signed a recording contract with Resurrection Records.

Stephen Michael Niewind is a musician on a mission. For 16 years he has been writing, arranging, and performing music. That is over half of his life. He calls the process, “listening to God.”
“It’s not about me, “he says, “especially at a concert or an outreach. It is about making Jesus Christ more famous.”
Stephen calls his ministry, “Incoming Rush,” remembering the account of the coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2. The Spirit came like the sound of a mighty rushing wind.
Stephen Michael Niewind
In 16 years, Niewind has composed over 500 songs. He is not sure how it happens. He just asks God to take his pen. When the song is written, he performs it acoustically. He performs anywhere and everywhere.
He describes his genres as Christian, Gospel, Christian Based Acoustic Praise and Worship, and Contemporary. He sings with a heartfelt, soulful, gentle manner that is easy to follow and understand. He often tells stories in his songs. He puts it this way: “Bringing Spirit of message to meet the emotions of the heart.”

Howard Gripp currently resides in middle Wisconsin. Originally a rock n' roller, now fully in the Christian Contemporary/Rock world. New Christian artist with strong, inspirational messages designed to touch your soul and let people know that they are not alone. New to the Christian genre, with years of musical experience venturing into a new season of life. Some quotes from listeners: "My eyes and heart were misty"; "Very powerful! Your songs could save lives!"
Started playing the drums at 6 years old. Played music throughout school through high school. Formed the band "Flight" at 16 and played the first bar that same year. That was the jumping-off point. Played in rock bands for years and cut a CD with a record company in LA called "Stinger". While originally a rocker, life changed when Jesus came into the picture and God impressed upon the heart to do something more meaningful with the gifts received. Enter the Christian Contemporary/Rock genre. Recorded in Nashville and will be completing the album with producers there as well.
This is a new beginning to a lasting career in music. Releasing the first two songs in a few months while working on a full EP release Spring of 2024. The full album is to be released late Fall of 2024. Want to use the music to help people who can relate to situations in life that a lot of us have gone through to know it's okay. The songs are based on real-life situations and are proof that you can come out the other side standing.

On todays episode, I sit with Josh and Jeff Redding of MAWCORE!
Mawcore is an Alternative Modern Hard Art Rock band, from America, driven to “Flood our World with Hope-Driven Fearless Rock”.
Pulling in core elements of grinding guitars, pulsing bass, pounding drums, layered electronica sounds and soring vocals, Mawcore has created their brand of Alt. Modern Hard Art Rock. The band draws upon musical influences from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and carries into the present day, stretching and barreling onward towards eternity. From the Hebrew word, meaning “Wellspring”, Mawcore taps into the central line of the hopeless, with a continual supply of hope and life, through faith-based lyrics and a mended-heart filled message
Mawcore was formed from the ashes of the former internationally distributed band, Blushing Well, who shared their music with thousands all around the world. They shared the stage with Skillet, Red, Disciple, Seventh Day Slumber, Jeremy Camp, Pillar and countless others. Their music was distributed internationally through Nightmare Records and played by radio stations in The Philippines, Yugoslavia, Norway, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Italy and the United States.
Although the past had crumbled, the three remaining members Joshua, Jeremy and Jeff found themselves with wounds being healed by the music within their core. Being joined by a variety of other musicians and eventually now permanent guitarist Ben, the programming talents of Chris, and the drumming skills of Ryan, they crafted a sound uniquely their own. Each member brings their own reason to keep them going: Jeremy: “For me, life without music is no life at all. I breathe it. I live it. Being in Mawcore is an amplifier for the music in my head”; “Music has shown me that there is a way to overcome fears and insecurities. When faith is tested, there is strength to be found in music with a message”; Jeff: “There is new life when the musician gets to share the journey with his offspring. The journey grows deeper and the passion more fervent when you are fighting for the life of others”; Joshua “If you cut me, I bleed music! This is such a deep part of my healing and knowing that we are sharing this healing with others, has made it all the more intense”; Chris: “The things that once made me feel undone and hurt, I now use to embrace others in their healing. This new journey has played a part in helping me believe that there is always hope and redemption”. These passionate members are fueling the forward motion that is Mawcore!
In this life, which can be full of disappointment and difficulties, music can be an avenue by which we can find hope again. Mawcore is on a mission to do just that.

Klank Band BioSplicing the mosh pit and the dance floor, this wrecking machine originally from New York known as KLANK released their debut album “Still Suffering” on the Seattle-based Tooth & Nail Records in 1996. Breaking musical boundaries with a sound described as ‘dancy, aggressive, electronically infused groove’, KLANK spent 18 weeks on the CMJ Top 40 charts and their monster single “Downside” which was added to over 170 radio stations nationwide. KLANK gained an immense amount of attention and notoriety while forming a strong, loyal fan base with their constant touring and growing reputation for intense live shows.
KLANK then made their mark once again with their sophomore release “Numb” which included the crushing single “Blind” which again made it into the top 40 on the CMJ charts. A video was also filmed for “Blind” which become a regular fixture on the Much Music channel.
Following Numb, KLANK appeared on several compilations which included their version of “I’ll Wait” to the “Running with the Devil - a Tribute to Van Halen ” release.
KLANK consists of Daren “Klank” Diolosa (Circle Of Dust) on vocals, guitars, Pat Servedio on guitar, keys, programming and production, and Eric Wilkins on drums. When asked to summarize KLANK’s music and lyrical direction, Diolosa has explained that, “Writing music is a form of therapy that helps to release bottled up frustrations and emotions that otherwise have no outlet… We write music that we feel comes from deep down inside and a lot of people can relate because it’s based on real life situations and emotions from living our everyday life… From mood swings, bitterness, the longing for inner peace to elements of hope, happiness & even despair. We all have to deal with these in our lives and this is our way to vent those issues… We call it ‘sonic therapy’.”
After the release of NUMB, Diolosa contributed vocals to the song “Silhouette Of Rage” found on Argyle Park’s “Suspension of Disbelief” release.
In 2007 the band released the “In Memory Of…” EP which featured the trademark KLANK sound of layers of guitars, keyboards, samples, thumping bass, live and programmed drums fused with melodic, deep heartfelt introspective lyrics. “In Memory Of…” containes the song “EXPN2Day”, which the band had written, by request of ESPN specifically for their extreme sports and music show called “EXPN2Day”
On April 20, 2010 KLANK unleashed their “NUMB…Reborn” release which contains 15 tracks of the classic KLANK sound. Songs like Don’t Count Me Out, Blind, D.F.L. and The Rules tip the scales of heaviness, while songs like Broken, God? and So Very Real lets the bands melodic side shine through in full form.
KLANK’s last offering titled “URBAN WARFARE” was released on June 12, 2012 and is being hailed not only as the bands best but also their strongest release to date. Complete with a guest appearance by Dug Pinnick from KING’s X, this new cd really packs a punch. Urban Warfare contains 14 blistering brand new tracks and was mastered by renowned audio wizard Maor Appelbaum in Los Angeles, CA. “We wanted to put out a CD that fully captures the live essence and intensity of what KLANK is live and we couldn’t be happier with the result”, explains Diolosa.
Continuing with our form of “Sonic Therapy” , the songs on our newest release Rise have been birthed from real life struggles, situations and emotions that we face daily, have dealt with or that has affected those around us . From the loss of loved ones, the daily fight for survival and dealing with our fears to overcoming addictions, understanding our humanity and empathizing with those contemplating suicide because you’ve been in that dark place at one time.
See for yourself how KLANK mesh the aggression and pounce of metal with the infectious drive of the dance floor and intertwines it within a foreground of synths, samples, loops and low end to form a truly unique sound all their own.

Their passion entails people and music, with a desire to bring hope and mercy while addressing difficult issues within our culture. DTS hopes to inspire people to seek truth rather than what is easy and to stay open in a world that is selfish. Their song 'Amnesty' received national airplay and spent 6 weeks on the Billboard Christian Rock charts while their song ‘Embers' off their sophomore EP spent 11 weeks on the charts. They have participated in multiple festivals including Hills Alive in South Dakota, Rock the Desert in Midland, TX and Nehemiah Fest in Missouri. They have shared the stage with national touring acts including Lacey Sturm, Disciple, House of Heroes, Decyfer Down, and Spoken. Their Debut EP, Shadows Within, was released in June 2016 and has allowed them to share their music in the local scene and on the road. Their EP titled Soteria was released November 13th, 2016 and made sure to keep the promises to deliver heavier rifts, deeper lyrics and passionate vocals. They released a music video for their song ‘Ghosts’ in December of 2016 and received positive feedback from old and new fans alike. In 2018 they released their heaviest single to date 'It's Time To Arise' alongside an anime themed music video that challenges the listener to be who they were created to be. They continue to promote their music nationally and stay active on social media to give their fans to best experience with a band possible.

On today's show I interview the Frontman of the Lousiana based Nu metal band, and one of my favorite people, Paul McCoy of 12 Stones!!
The band members met in Mandeville, Louisiana, a small city north of New Orleans, and within 15 months were signed to a record deal with Wind-up Records. Lead vocalist Paul McCoy was featured in the Evanescence single "Bring Me to Life", released in 2003, which later went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2004.[6]
Songs from the band have appeared in various films and TV shows. "My Life", from their self-titled album, was featured on the soundtrack of the 2002 film The Scorpion King. "Broken" (also from the self-titled album) served as the official theme song for WWE's WWE Judgment Day pay-per-view in May 2002. "Home" (also from the self-titled album) was the song used for the WWE Desire video for Kurt Angle. "Shadows", from Potter's Field, was used in a trailer for the film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. "Photograph" (also from Potter's Field) appeared on the soundtrack of the 2005 film Elektra. The band also recorded the song "Let Go" exclusively for the Daredevil movie soundtrack. Songs "Running out of Pain" and "Back Up" were used on Cheating Death, Stealing Life – The Eddie Guerrero Story.
In November 2009, the band recorded their fourth studio album, with producer David Bendeth. "We Are One", the first single from the new album, was released on April 6.[7][failed verification] The song Premiered on noisecreep on March 29, 2010.[8]
"We Are One" was used by WWE as the theme song for the renegade faction formed by the NXT first season graduates known as The Nexus. The song also was used as the opening to each ACC Network telecast of the 2011 ACC men's basketball tournament.[9] The Washington Capitals hockey team also used the song in the 2010–11 NHL season video played at the start of their home games in the Verizon Center.[citation needed]
On August 24, 2010, the band announced that they were leaving Wind-Up after nine years, stating "We felt it was time for a change. We have a vision for this band that we feel is best pursued elsewhere."[10]
12 Stones then signed a record deal with Executive Music Group. The band released their new album Beneath the Scars on May 22, 2012, to digital retailers, however it wasn't released to stores until May 29, 2012.[11]
Their fifth studio album, Picture Perfect, was released on July 14, 2017.[12] The title track was premiered on Loudwire on June 14, 2017.[13]

And he has been sharing it all over the world--most recently on national and international media outlets including The 700 Club, Cornerstone Television Network's flagship show, Hope Today, The NRB Network's award-winning TV show Babbie's House, and many more.
DiChiara is the founder and frontman of the indie Christian rock band Empowered, whose latest EP, Three Days, has garnered seven No. 1's over the past year.
In June 2021, the title cut from the band's latest project, Three Days, hit No. 1 on IndieGospel.net's Top 20 Chart. At the same time, "Rock Bottom," the third single from the album, debuted on the same chart at No. 7, making it the third single from the album to enter these charts.
In addition to the band's latest No. 1, their “Listen to the Children” single reached the No. 1 spot on Indiegospel.net'sTop 20 chart in December 2020.
Their “Three Days” music video has reached the No. 1 spot on the IndieGospel.net Top 10 video chart three times: in December 2020, January 2021, and again in April 2021. A New Orleans native, DiChiara wears multiple hats as a singer, songwriter, businessman, and motivational speaker. Having come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ later in life, the U.S. Navy vet first fronted a secular rock band before surrendering his music to ministry.
When a traumatic brain injury nearly took his life and his capacity to create music, it was his faith that helped him navigate the long, often winding road to recovery. Today, DiChiara puts that experience to use as he shares God's goodness with others through word and song.
DiChiara's band, Empowered, is comprised of DiChiara (lead vocals and songwriting), Shane Madere Jr. (lead guitarist, backing vocalist), Jeff Maddox (bass and background vocals), Mic Capdeville (percussion and background vocals), and Justin Burdette (guitarist and background vocals).
DiChiara and Empowered are proud to contribute to the work of the non-profit organization, Children's Cup (childrenscup.org).
