Theater Accident had planned its inaugural summer theater festival for the end of August 2020, but unfortunately, the pandemic made it impractical and irresponsible to present in person. Through the magic of podcasting and the imagination, we offer these five silent productions for your listening pleasure.
The Shhh Festivals final inaugural production for its inaugural summer festival was to be this hilarious farce inspired by the Francis Bacon’s 1986 Blood on The Floor, conceived and performed the Ha Has.
The Shhh Festival’s next production is a solo performance by famed silent clown Peter. The production, entitled untitled eponymous Peter Play, is a meditation on the epidemic of self-derision in the children of retired clergy.
The Shhh Festival continues with this live adaptation of cult classic Italian Silent Film Cantastoria alla Vodka. It is stars Vito Italiamente and Maria Jones Smith as lovers unable to express their love in word or song. It is presented by Quinto Teatro, a company founded after the unfortunate death of Quattro Teatro.
Our second production is the world premiere of European art star Jurgen Jankovic’s new Magnum Opus A-Go-Go, The Withered Spinster of Frankfurt: A Quagmire.
Theater Accident presents the first production in our inaugural summer theater festival: VOTE by the Underperformers of Northern California.
