You wouldn’t know it from his deep, poignant lyrics and chilling melodies, but singer-songwriter Sagen Pearse has only been writing music for three years. A managing funeral director by day, Sagen started composing his own songs after singing at a weekly open mic, quickly amassing a catalogue of music, a dedicated fanbase, and the attention of industry veterans. Drawing inspiration from poet Shane Koyzcan, musical artists Dan Mangan, Mark Berube, Scott Hutchinson, and Justin Vernon his work on the front lines of human grief, and his own assemblage of life lessons, Sagen does not shy away from addressing the shadow-side of human nature through articulate, brilliantly-composed songs about death and dying, broken homes, senseless violence and sinister dances with the monsters of altered states. Sagen joined forces with producer Kevin Ker on his debut album, which was released under the moniker Hollowsage and the Three Mile Islanders in 2020. The record, titled Nuclear Home, was recorded at Union Sound & The Chandelier Room.

"I just go where the guitar takes me" is a quote by ACDC's Angus Young, and the words written across Logan Klaus's soul. So many decades and styles of music go into his onstage performance, its abnormally hard to pin down an exact genre, the only constant being raw high energy and unbelievable guitar work. He's always been known for his striking and enthusiastic stage presence, compelling performance, and nostalgic neo-retro style; in a sense, "Future with a flavor of the past". His powerful voice and multi-instrumental ability have earned him first and finalist positions in competitions all around the Edmonton area including appearances at Beaumont Blues, talent search (K- Days exposition), The Station on Jasper Talent search (1st place), and Big Valley Jamboree Horizon Stage (2nd place) as well as guest appearances at Festival Place, the Winspear and the Jubilee Auditorium as a solo guitar player. His instrumental repertoire includes the Guitar, the Piano, Bass, Drums, Harmonica, and the Trumpet, with training in classical as well as mainstream styles of songwriting and performance. In his own words: "I love to bring people together through dancing and live music whether it's old or new, I'm happy to share love, joy, tears, and of course the odd guitar solo here and there. I've always been influenced by icons like Elvis, Chuck Berry, Angus Young, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and Van Halen, but I fall in love every day to the music of this generation and its not unlike me to throw in a Post Malone, or Childish Gambino song into the set. If it were my choice though, everyone would learn to Lindy hop." Although he can do it alone, a performance just wouldn't be complete without his all-star cast of band members. Parker Holberton, Zach Kaiser, Jackson Howard, and Aidan Ellis on the Bass, Keys, Drums, Sax and Guitar respectively. They'll often say "loosen up", or "bring your dancing shoes, we might do a few throwbacks tonight." The bands 4 part vocal harmonies, technical proficiency, and live performance maturity builds a thunderous foundation for Logan and add to the overall electricity of the act, keeping a positive air in times, but supporting him in the somber more heart-wrenching original songs. "Diggin' my own grave": a dangerously upbeat hard rock and blues song Releases February 22nd, and will mark his first professionally executed single with 2 following in April as well as an album releasing in June of this year. The song is lighthearted with a comical air used to conceal the muddier, darker side of the experience that shadows the pressures and tensions of relationships, the average song might not touch on. All we know is that even before the release he's had people chanting Diggin' my own grave on their way out the door. Finally: "My life has been stolen by music. I'd go any length and any distance to live up to the stars that have come ahead of me, and the best part is, that I'm in love with it all. I can't wait to look back one day and see how far I've come, all the places I've gotten to visit, and the people I've gotten to meet, the hearts I've broken, and that have broken me. The debt I owe to the people who have helped and coached me here is something I'll never be able to return, at least not in this lifetime." Every performance is sure to be an experience where nothing is left on the table. He can't guarantee it, but even Marty Mcfly would be satisfied.

Cuss is not one to sit still. His vagabond nature has placed him on stages across this country, and internationally. He has called many a place home, but home is truly where the music takes him. A prolific writer, Levi has had 5 releases in the last 6 years. His songs champion the underdog, lift the weary, and expose those who would exploit others. His latest release "Lost and Found" is his third record with fellow Canadian, and producer Steve Dawnson. His relationship with Steve and others has led to a catalogue of music that, when played, hints at an ongoing narrative of the times.
Mike received his first guitar at 14 and stepped on my first stage at 58. There were a lot of campfire sessions in between. The dream of being a musician was there from my earliest memories but the confidence to believe I could be not. That was given to me by people who believed in me more than I did, the music never did let me go. A lifelong Albertan and the father of two incredible daughters I am grateful to now have the opportunity to share my songs with you. Thank you for being here with me, I hope you like them.

The Evolution of Zayd.
In his darkest days, it was always music that pulled him through. Zayd is a new kind of rocker one who wants to be a shining light giving others the courage to look at their own mental health through his lyrics. “I see music as a cause, a way to empower, to fight for your own mental health.” Zayd’s life has been touched by suicide both in his immediate circle and in his heroes Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington and Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell. The prairie rocker doesn’t shy away from struggle instead he channels it into a battle cry. Sexual assault, depression, child abuse, he taps into the emotional turmoil of life to create. “These things, they don’t discriminate. My music is about trauma, fighting with yourself, being different and how to cope. The only way I can keep myself and others on the right track is through my music. That’s my therapy.” The moment he picked up a guitar, Zayd experienced the power music has to heal. He’s spent the last decade honing his craft in various groups first as a guitarist than as a songwriter. After all that time in the shadows, Zayd’s going solo with his original music. A rebirth that represents who he is and what he believes in. From the raging guitar licks of his brand-new single Father to soul and EDM influences, Zayd crosses the barriers of traditional music genres. He won’t stop until he’s done the same with his audience. “Each song, each story has the power to connect with people. I want my message of mental health and self-care to spread throughout the world to all people. Take what you need from it, push on.”

Justine is like the old hymns she grew up with – even if you can’t quite put your finger on what makes them genuine and authentic, they are undeniably so. “The most characteristic feature in the music of the Canadian singer-songwriter Justine Vandergrift is her crystal clear, very specific and fragile voice, she brings you in the perfect mood for the songs on her 4th album ‘Stay’ which is lifting the bar of expectations very high for her future work“ - Valére Sampermans / Rootstime "Justine Vandergrift is an emerging artist with that most precious and rare gift - an original voice. It's hard to capture such things in words but hearing is believing. ". -Stephen Fearing “Occasionally a new artist emerges that immediately demands respect and attention. Justine Vandergrift is one such artist. She will make a solid impact on anyone who has the privilege of hearing her songs.” -Bill Bourne "Every once in a while, we'll come across an artist who truly connects us to their spirit. Sometimes it happens in a large concert setting and sometimes, as in my case, it happens around a campfire. With only one song, Justine displayed her ethereal voice and imaginative lyrics to connect with those of us privileged to be there. It was my wish that someday people might share in what we felt that night. A true artist deserving of much wider recognition!" -Jay Amar "Justine's debut album 'Yes Alright Ok' is full of brilliant songwriting, great, thoughtful lyrics and very convincing melodies." -Peter Holmsedt (Hemifran Music, Sweden.) ‘In an industry glutted with splash in the pan artists, Justine Vandergrift stands out as a genuine talent who is in the music business for the long haul.’ -Rhea March, Host & Producer of ‘Almost Famous’ on CKUA Radio Network and ‘It Takes A Village’ on CJSR Radio.

Over the past three years Williams has released three singles (“Something Right” 2019, “Parking Lot” 2018 and “One More Dose” 2017), which have all received local radio airplay. She’s been interviewed by CBC Calgary’s The Homestretch and CBC Edmonton’s Radio Active. “Something Right” (March 2019) was specifically written for the 2019 Canada Winter Games and was performed in front of an audience of over 8,000 at the closing ceremonies in Red Deer and broadcast nationally on TSN. Kayla was also one of 11 Western Canadian musicians invited into Canada’s Music Incubator’s AE West professional development program at the National Music Centre (Nov-Dec 2019). Kayla’s upcoming single will be released on all digital platforms and at a live show at Bo’s Bar and Stage in Red Deer on October 23rd. The show will include opening act Wyatt C. Louis, a music video debut and a full performance by Kayla and her band.

Jesse was born in the city of Lethbridge and raised to his teen years in the southern Alberta farming communities of Raymond and Fin Castle, AB. Jesse’s early inspirations include the hypnotic sounds of big-name artists such as Jimi Hendrix, The Black Crowes, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, City and Colour, Jack Johnson, Guns ‘N’ Roses, and Pink Floyd. Jesse is a Blues/Rock/folk/Indie performer who has done his fair share of “paying his dues” opening and touring with such acts as: The Lazys, One Bad Son, The Odds, The Northern Pikes, The Grapes Of Wrath, Monster Truck, The Age Of Electric, The Wild, Holly McNarland, Econoline Crush, Coal Creek Boys, Wild T & The Spirit, Cara Luft, Carson Cole, Clayton Bellamy (of The Road Hammers), Tupelo Honey, Retrograde, The Smalls, and Mcquaig to name just a few. Big riffs, an impressive vocal sound all his own and the ability to captivate the crowd with ease. His fans have coined the term “no string solo” as he can be consistently found ripping strings off the guitar like they aren’t supposed to be there in the first place.
