Robotics competitions are an exciting way for people to come together in the name of sport and community. Teams work together to create superhuman gladiators while developing their personal, technical and professional skills. Robotics and the competitions surrounding it have become hugely recognized and wildly popular. Halton Region has a thriving robotics community that includes Milton District High School's very own 3571 Mustangs. Lee St. James Joins us on Episode 1. She is a startup founder that works with Haltech, a Halton Region based innovation center. She is the Future Proof Program lead at Haltech and also helps facilitate Digital Main Street which is a local initiative that helps independent businesses refresh and stay relevant online and in digital communities. Digital Main Street is a great project that is helping many businesses, new and old, adapt, and weather the current COVID19 landscape while ensuring they are ready for what the future may hold for their business.

Ever wonder how you can make good environmental use of your old Christmas tree? Conservation Halton has a solution.

Conservation Halton is an amazing initiative that preserves, protects, and advocates for our surrounding environment and natural habitats. As a conservation authority works tirelessly to ensure that the Halton region's environmental health is in good standing and that our community is doing whatever we can to assist in the preservation of our corner of the earth. The stakes are high and the work is plentiful, this is why Conservation needs your help. The conservation authority has a huge need for volunteer workers to help them with their mission. The "volunteer core" is a robust and hands-on volunteer program that invites community members to get involved in a meaningful and beneficial way. Milton Musing discusses the program and other interesting initiatives that Conservation Halton is undertaking.

The Friendship Project is an incredible program created by the good people at Arts Milton. THis program brings together new Canadians and Host families from the Milton area. The Friendship brings these families together and helps to form bonds and connections within the community. Through these bonds Milton and its community members become stronger the cultural identity of our town flourishes.
