This poem was written to deal with my emotions from being a teacher the past year. Its been a really tough year, but I'm glad to say I'm making it through. The hardest part without a doubt, is the anxiety and the amount you worry about your students. I have a hard time trusting that my kids will be okay, especially my students of color. I can't stop bullets and there's a lot of days I wish I could.

This episode has two poems that were written when I was deep in my feelings. If you're in your feelings too, then we'll get through it together. The poems are titled "if I were to be married" and "but for them".

This is the first episode of Poetry & Prose. We're taking it nice and easy starting off with one of my favorite poems entitled "I think I fell in love". Very much in my feelings I know.
