On today’s pod I am lucky enough to be chatting to ‘Farmer Andrew’ from ‘Channel Seven’s’ currant series of ‘Farmer Wants a Wife!’
Thousands of eligible single ladies had applied to meet these farmers and each episode we have watched as five special girls compete for the affection of 'Farmer Andrew.' With some interesting drama along the way.
'Farmer Andrew' is a 41-year-old mixed crop and sheep farmer from New South Wales. He is the oldest farmer we have seen on the show for a while but I think that has made him take the show more seriously.
We know that all the farmers find love - so it is a mater of working out who they will pick?

This chat I am joined by 50% of the 'Will and Woody Drive Show' from 'KISS FM.' That is the 'Woody' part just for clarity! The man who has just been eliminated from the African Jungle on ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.’
The popular Radio host had taken on 'Celebrity Apprentice,' 'Ninja Warrior' but nothing prepared him for what 'Network Ten' had install for him.
Yes tougher than getting up for Breakfast Radio, worse than a 'OB' on a Saturday and much worse than recording a LIVE for a Yogurt store.
'Woody' Whitelaw' gave us laughs, speedos, and some tears and joins me now to unpack the reality show which has been a huge success for 'Network Ten's' engagement.

This chat I am joined by Australian comedy royalty ‘Peter Hellier’ who has just been eliminated from the African Jungle on ‘I’m A Celebrity.’
The former host of 'The Project' and staple on Australian screens has been keeping us laughing for years. I personally loved him on 'Rove' and have always enjoyed his obvious humour, social commentary even when at times it boarders on a good Dad joke.
The fact 'Pete' said yes to 'the jungle,' took on those challenges, ate disgusting food and gave us so many laughs this season is a testament the awesome guy 'Pete' truely is behind the scenes!

'Ian Dickson' is one of Australia’s biggest TV personalities who has been asked every year to enter the jungle and this year it seems the money was right and so the former shock judge delighted fans by signing up.
'Dicko’ certainly opened up and spilled the beans throughout his jungle journey and while I do think we got a new perspective on the man behind the headlines - he has been overshadowed by some of the other celebs competing for that jungle crown.

This chat I am joined by ‘Gretel Vella’ who is a Film/Television/Theatre Writer and is the mastermind behind the latest Stan Original series ,’Totally Completely Fine.’
The series drops on ‘Stan Australia’ this week and thisshow is a little interesting and we will get into that straight away in the podcast but the series is Inspired by true events, it is a six-part “dark comedy” series led by ‘Thomasin McKenzie’ ( who you would know from the popular film ‘JoJo Rabbit’) and explores the complexities of grief, the power of friendship, and the ways our sadness can unite us. The series examines family, legacy and ultimately asks: how many lives do we have to save before we’ll save ourselves?
I want to pre-warn you this conversation does include a lot of discussion around suicide and suicide prevention. However, as the show is a comedy drama I want you to know the show isn’t completely gazumpted by the at times bleak subject matter.

Choosing to focus on other parts of her life for some time Sam is now back on our TV front and centre - playing cupid to five new farmers, plucked from paddocks around the country.

It is 'King George' from the latest season of ‘Heroes vs villains!’
We first were introduced to 'George Mladenov' on 'Brains vs Brawn' two years ago but nothing could have prepared us for what he had in store for us this year.
More Conflict! More strategy! more awkward conversations! (this time on the beach) and one epic Tribal Council that broke the internet!
'George' polarised his audience but also made this season what it was.... and I know 'liz' has won (congratulations) but I think 'George' is the real series-winner from 'Heroes VS Villains' and I am very excited to talk to him today.

'Alone' has been made all over the world but this time 10 Australian survivalists will be dropped in the remote wilds of 'Western Tasmania.' Completely isolated from the world and each other, stripped of modern possessions, contact and comforts, to self-document their experience – where the last one standing wins $250,000.
Challenged by the force of nature, hunger, and perhaps the toughest challenge of all: loneliness, you won’t want to turn away until the last person is left standing.

On Todays episodes I have a full debrief with the winner of ‘Australian Survivor’ - ‘Heroes vs villains!’
In an epic showdown, ‘Liz’ beat ‘Gerry’ and ‘Matt’ at the final jury after a shock elimination of ‘King George.’
Liz gave a speech worthy of all seven votes and there was no secret who had won the ‘Heroes vs Villains’ competition by the time the pitches had been made.
Starting as a newbie and as a villain it was tough slog but somehow quite effortlessly done as ‘Liz’ outwitted, outplayed and outlasted all the other castaways in ’Network Ten’s’ 2023 series.
However, let’s bring ‘Liz’ into the podcast and celebrate his exciting win. Which you can now catch up on ‘Ten Play.’

‘Nina’ will then join me to discuss her family ties to Survivor and what her Mum thought of her time back on the show.

However I want to talk to her about her latest sketch comedy series ‘We Interrupt This Broadcast’ which Starts 7.30pm Tuesday, 28 February on 'Channel 7' and 7plus!

As you would know I am obsessed with Australian Survivor and I am doing the exit interview chats for 'Hero’s vs Villains.' So this episode we will be talking to the latest booted castaways from Week 4
First up we have 'Jordie Hansen' who no secret is one of my favourite contestants in both seasons I have watched with him in in.
'Jordie' reentered the 'Australian Survivor' universe with a nick name firmly slated as 'The Joker.' Beautifully selected as a 'villain' and 100% a fan favourite for many 'Survivor' enthusiasts.
We then have 'Benjamin Law' who is another journalist, but he is also known for his popular writing on TV shows, novels and theatre. I think of him as an 'LGBTI' activist and his name being attached this this show was very exciting to me.

On today’s podcast I have two actors, ‘Lincoln Younis’ and ‘Claude Jabbour’ who are making a lot of noise in the 'Paramount +' series ‘Last King of The Cross.’
Both ‘Lincoln’ and ‘Claude’ play brothers in the latest telling of ‘John Ibraham’s’ story of Australia's most notorious nightclub mogul.
The series as debuted on ‘Paramount +’ this week and you will be blown away by the intensity brought to the performances which we will talk about today on this episode.

On today’s podcast I have ‘Fraser’ who was booted from 'Australian Survivor' this week after a very hectic Tribal Council.
'Fraser' was totally doing well in my mind - minding his p’s and q’s! When somehow he got caught in the crossfire of 'George' vs 'Simon.' Which saw 'Fraser' "Blindsided" and sent home.
This week has been pretty crazy in Survivor world. First JLP lost his mind building hype for this week's episodes and then the media started signing off on it too and now fans hav been saying it was best Tribal Council ever in 'Survivor' history…….. and I tend to agree with them. So we have a lot to discuss.
I will find out if he thinks 'George' was right to send him home instead of Jordie?
Does he think 'Simon' should have used his Idol for 'Stevie?'
We will get his answer on the fairness of that secret challenge for immunity.
Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of the third week of 'Australian Survivor' which you can catch-up on 'Ten Play' now.

On this episode I have ‘Aisha Scott’ who is currently starring on Season 1 of ‘Below Deck Down Under’ on 'Channel Seven’s' new 'Bravo Channel.
'Aesha Scott' made her debut appearance as chief stew in 'Below Deck Down Under' after successfully completing two seasons as stewardess in 'Below Deck Mediterranean.'
The series chronicles the lives of crew members who work and reside aboard a 150-foot-plus 'Superyacht' during a charter season in Australia. Which consists of filming for around six weeks with the cast temporarily replacing the conventional crew.
I describe this series as 'Housewives' on a boat or 'Vanderpump Rules' at sea but it does have some really entertaining insights into the world of the workers on super yachts.
We will find out what 'Aesha' really thinks of filming the show. How Aesha was cast and found herself one of New Zealand’s most famous reality TV exports. I love Andy Cohen - so I will also ask what he is really like between scenes.

Sarah is known for her title as ‘Miss World Australia’ and while that made headlines on a global scale it was the controversial acquisition that she pushed a competitor down a flight of stairs that had her competing as a villain in the current explosive season of 'Australian Survivor.'
I always believe where there is smoke there usually is fire. So we will find out the full story behind ‘Miss Greece’s’ claims that ‘Sarah’ pushed her down the stairs.
I will unpack ‘King George’s’ rivalries and what he is truly like to live with 24 hours a day.

This episode I am joined by Joanna Werner from 'Werner Productions' and we will be talking 'Crazy Fun Park' which you can catch up on now on the 'iview' app as it is a fantastic new series on the 'ABC.'
'Joanna Werner' is a three time 'Emmy' Nominated, 'AFI,' 'AACTA' and multi 'Logie' award winning producer.
'Nicholas Verso's' 'Crazy Fun Park' tells the story of 'Chester,' an introverted teen who makes the incredible discovery that his recently deceased best friend, 'Mapplethorpe,' is one of a group of ghoulish teens who haunt the abandoned fun park on the edge of town.
With lots of practical effects, young actors getting their start I am loved this this series as the creators don’t stupefying their audience which is why it has been a success with young adults who at times can be hard to engage with.

The first week of 'Idol' has shown audiences that the brand integrity has been kept in tack and hasn’t strayed too far from what fans know and love of the show .

Plus 'Anjali' will breakdown the 1st episode which will give you some exclusives on what actually went down during her bonkers time on the show.
We then have 'Michael Warren' who is another journalist who also joined Anjali on the Villain tribe.
We will find out how super fan Michael feels about his time on the show and if he felt audience connected with his character correctly.
Stick around for his breakdown on the tribal council as we discuss if 'George’s' dramatic take downed actually did throw him off. I honestly think this will still divide Survivor fans and I will leave this for you to interpret his retelling of the situation.
Then finally 'Mimi' will unpack her episode which will see us discuss if 'Simon' really does have an idol? What her biggest mistakes were? If in fact her midnight cookie crushing was responsible for her being booted.
I genuinely think these chats are a great companion to the show… so feel free to follow me this season of 'Australian Survivor' on 'Network Ten.'

This episode of the podcast I have someone I have chased to come on the pod since the very first episode.
It is 'ITV Studio Australia’s' superstar EP and secret weapon. 'Jaala Webster.'
Truth be told Jaala is usually locked away working on shows like 'I’m a Celeb,' 'The Voice' and 'Love Island Australia.' Especially at the times I usually feature these shows.
It made sense to record this episode in the non ratings and this will be my last episode of the summer series before I am back fully on deck for 2023.
Jaala and I met when I was in 'Big Brother' through an unusual circumstance - as she produced and voiced a side show of that series called 'Little Sister.' Which allowed audiences to get to know heir favourite housemates a little bit more . Of course I was a housemate and she was the voice of the title roll but there was something extraordinary magical about the impact she had on the housemates and the you as an audience.
We will go behind the scenes on all the shows that has made Jaala the superstar we know today and I am sure you will love her insights and stories. All simply amazing and a great listen.

TV and Film actress Claudia Karvan.
Claudia started out in films working with the likes of Gary Mcdonald and Judy Davis, growing up in front of the cameras we saw her work in the Big Steel and the heartbreak Kid but it was her role as Alex Christianson in Secret Life Of Us that had audiences take notice.
It was a great turn of events working with writers like Judi Macrossin and Christopher Lee and the series saw her collaborate for the first time with John Edwards. A genius in storytelling and producing.
John Edwards encouraged Claudia to work as a director and producer and they soon collaborated on Love My Way - which was a series for Foxtel that still has a massive cult following. Even though they only did three seasons. That series is one of the most power, impactful and inspired stories ever brought to the small screen.
With shows like Time of our Lives, Puberty Blues, The Other Guy and Spirited we have been gifted a catalogue of characters each as real as the next.
Today we will talk about all her roles in those iconic shows, we will get a back stage pass to reasons and rationals of her most legendary performances. The new Series Bump is out on Boxing Day which is the best series yet.

I have a special chat with ‘Hollywood’ film and television actor ‘Michael Kelly’ who is promoting the latest series ‘Jack Ryan’ which launches Season 3 this week on ‘Prime Video Australia.’
'Michael Kelly' plays ‘Mike November’ alongside ‘Jack Ryan’ played by John Krasinksi who is an international fugitive, who is again racing against the clock to prevent global catastrophe. The popular characters are from the best selling novel’s written by ‘Tom Clancy.’ Novels that live in most homes around the world.
'Michael Kelly' is an actor who I honestly love and has played some brilliant roles in shows like 'House of Cards' and films like 'Unbreakable.'
I will ask Michael how this role came about, what the producers promised him and why his role has changed in series 3. We will also talk that iconic role in 'Unbreakable' and of course I’ll find out what he is up to in 'Australia.'

Today on the podcast I have the winners of Love Island Australia Series 4! It is former 'Claudia' and 'Austen.'
'Claudia' was feisty and headstrong and made no excuses for her behaviour when it came to her truths.
'Austen' was genuine and at times emotional which made a great pairing with Claudia but he also had great friendships with the lads.
Both had their fair share of challenges in their 'Love Island' journey but manages to navigate their new relationship with integrity and heart.
I will ask them about their ex’s involvement in the 'villa' and outside of the show in the media. We will talk about the shock dumping of 'Al' and 'Jess' before the finale. Who is the most different out of the house and if the entire cast will be invited if they decide to get married!

Today on the podcast I have the winners from 'The Challenge Australia.' It is former 'Bachelor in Paradise’s' 'Kiki' and 'Australian Ninja Warrior' 'Troy.'
'Kiki' may have had more injuries than most but with a strong attitude and the right alliances she managed to come out on top and win some money that will change her life.
Troy had to worry about a huge target on his back with his known Ninja strength but it was his social game that had him surviving with his sights now set on 'The Challenge Worlds.'
I will ask 'Kiki' about her reunion with 'Jessica Brodie' and 'Kieran.' How she managed to push through quite a bit of pain and who she thinks deserves to join her in the global fight.. soon to be seen on paramount Plus. Then Troy will talk war wounds, deleted fights and he will defend himself against a stinky rumour.

Today on the podcast I have one of Australia’s most celebrated personalities, 'Yvie Jones.' Yvie is here to talk about 'Snackmasters' series 2. Which debuted on 'Channel Nine' at 7pm this Sunday night.Yvie started off on 'Gogglebox Australia' but quickly updated her TV status with an amazing effort - coming second on 'Im A Celeb' in 2019. Since then we have seen her pop up on talk shows, award nominated podcasts and radio gigs - and last year 'Channel Nine' gave her an exciting role on 'Snackmasters' - which audiences demanded more of.We will talk about the new series today which of course you will get some exclusive insights but I also have a surprise for 'Yvie' in todays episode which I need you to keep in mind while listening at the start - unbeknownst to my guest..... Today on the podcast I have Australian Actor 'Ed Oxenbould' who is here to discuss his latest 'Netflix' series 'Irreverent' which drops this Sunday the 4th of December.'Irreverent' tells the story of a criminal from 'Chicago' who is forced to hide in a small Australian reef town posing as the new church Reverend. This is a comedy drama which packs a massive punch. With an outstanding cast that includes one of my favourite Aussie actors 'Ed Oxenbould.' Who shot to fame in the TV series 'Puberty Blues.' He has then gone on to star in a string of 'American' movies playing opposite the likes of 'Maggie' and 'Jake Gyllenhaal.' He has worked with 'Paul Dano' and 'M Night Shyamalan.' Which is just some of his achievements… which we will unpack a little of today.I will ask Ed about Puberty Blues Rumours and where they came from. What kind of preparation does a kid do before acting in horror movies with MM Night Shyamalan.' Plus some great insights into his latest project the ' Irreverent.' Learn more about your ad choices. Today on the podcast I have the latest eliminated contestant from Network 10’s new Reality-Show 'The Challenge Australia.' It is fighter in the ring - peacekeeper on our screens. It is 'Sugar Neekz Johnson.' 'Sugar' is a female Pro-Boxer - winning major championships and making a name for herself around the world. Born in 'New Zealand' but when fighting internationally she represents 'Australia.' This is her fight reality-tv-show but something tells me - we are bound to see more of her - as she was a great addition to the series. 'Sugar' did make alliances and made headlines across the country for rumours that started after leaks suggested she had a fight with one of her major competitors on the show. It seem like her pairing with 'Ryan Gallagher' was the main reason for exit but will talk about that today on the podcast. We will get to the bottom of her rumoured beef with 'Suzan Mutesi, what it was like to be a reality TV star, who she knew or should I say didn’t know and of course I will ask her my top 5 questions which will leave no room to escape, as she dished the first on her fellow cast members. Today on the podcast I have Film Director 'Nick Sweeny' who is here to discuss his latest 'HBO' Documentary called 'Santa Camp' which premieres today on 'Foxtel.' This feature film is a heart-warming true story, following one organisation’s journey to incorporate more diversity in the 'Santa' industry. Yes 'Santa Camp' is about 'Santas' in 'America' going on a summer camp but I guarantee you it is so much more than that. It is also not just a 'Christmas' film. Nick explores themes about diversity and inclusion in a way that you won't expect. I fell in love with this film and the different 'Santa’s' and I am sure you will too. I will ask the director how he came across this fascinating idea? What were the biggest surprises he unearthed along the way, we will talk about the need for community in 2022 and where we are at in society with our ignorance towards some minorities. Today on the podcast I have two guests who have already been eliminated from 'Network 10’s' new Reality-Show 'The Challenge Australia.' I have 'David Subritsky' and 'Cyclone Cyrell.' 'David' is a born reality TV star first gaining attention as the non-celebrity in 'I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.' He has been in the media spotlight ever since winning over the country with his fun and gregarious personality. 'Cyrell' is known for her wild antics on 'Married at First Sight' and since 2019 she has also remained in the spotlight even after balancing her new role as Mum with former love island star 'Edan Dally'. Probably one of the shows most anticipated contributors with her reputation for hot headed drama. I will ask 'David' about his roots in the UK and if he wants to crack the market over seas? We will discuss all the the magic behind his famous siblings and what reality format he would say no too. Then stick around for 'Cyrell' as she talks about her hot headed behaviour, why the majority of her competition didn’t quiet click with her and both guests will answer some rapid fire questions that will give you some burning-hot-tea. Today on the podcast I have two guests joining me today to discuss their extraordinary work on the two part series: 'Claremont: A Killer Among Us.' Which debuted last night on 'Network Ten' and concludes this evening at 7:30. (Thursday 24th of November 2022) The series will be available on 'Ten Play' if you want to catch up on this brilliant series after the release date. I was lucky enough to preview the series and I straight away lined up a chat with 'Network Ten' publicity. As I wanted to talk to the creators after being wowed by their storytelling abilities. 'Dan Brown' joins me from ‘Joined Up Films.’ He is the 'Executive Producer' / 'Creative Director' on the series and his insights today on how he managed to produce this series with empathy and integrity is fascinating. He is joined by 'Network Executive Producer' at 'Network Ten' 'Ciaran Flannery.' Who shared 'Dan’s' vision for this story and should be really proud of the finished product because it is first class storytelling in the genre of True-Crime. The 'Claremont' murders rocked 'Western Australia' for decades with no resolution for some time with many people aware of a killer walking amongst their community. It is one of 'Australia’s' most notorious cases and while we have the man behind bars - there is lots to discuss, as the series unpacks, DNA technology, the Police’s dedication and includes the stories from the victims of these horrendous crimes. We will talk about the popularity of True-Crime and why it is a current phenomenon. What sort of integrity was needed to tell the story properly. Some of the decisions in what made the final cut and how they managed to get so many people to be included in this series. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Today on the podcast I have one of Australia’s most celebrated Interior Designers, it is 'Channel Nine’s' darling 'Shaynna Blaze.' 'Shaynna' is a television personality, writer and former singer. For the first time ever we are going to see her like never before. As she takes on a reality-show that puts her in drivers seat - "boots and all." The news series titled 'Country Home Rescue' is on Wednesday nights at 7.30pm on 'Channel 9.' Where you will see the dynamics of her family life post divorce. Featuring both of children now adults join her on an adventurous and somewhat ambition renovating project situated in Victoria’s regional town of 'Kyneton.' I will ask 'Shaynna' how the project came about, if the kids were genuinely willing to take part, what she thinks of the media intrusion of her private life and we will hear some of her thoughts post that dramatic 'Block' finale. Today on the podcast I have two guests who have already been eliminated from 'Channel 10’s' new Reality-Show 'The Challenge Australia.' I have 'Jack Vidgen' and 'Suzan Mutesi.' Suzan Mutesi is an Ugandan-Australian actress, model and fashion designer. Who bit off more than she could chew in the latest TV series featuring twenty-two Australian reality stars and celebrities. There is a popular theory amongst Australian media that wherever 'Suzan' goes there is usually drama. I managed to see a softer side to her as we unpack her time on the show. I have put her exit-interview second because she was in a room with a nasty echo but I still wanted you guys to hear our chat - so stick around after my chat with 'Jack' to hear Mutesi spill the tea on 'The Challenge Australia.' 'Jack Vidgen' has been on nearly every reality series you can imagine - obviously he is a singer first and foremost but hats off to him for giving these physical and mental shows a go too. It is sad to see him go so early but as Jack himself would say - "everything happens for a reason." I will ask 'Susan' about the recent attacks in the media and how she copes with her life being scrutinised over. 'Jack' will discuss the drama we didn’t see and a feud that may or may not be still going? I will also find out which shows he preferred and both guests will take aim at their fellow cast members as we run through a series of questions I will ask all the eliminated constants that join the podcast. Today on the podcast I have the winner of 'The Traitors.' Yes 'Alex' has outsmarted them all in a dramatic finale. Which we will unpack today. I also want to say thanks to you all for the messages throughout the series. I felt really supported during each Traitor-exit interview by a lot of you while I took a deeper dive into this new show. Which might not have been the highest rating series of the year but something I quite enjoyed. 'Alex' really made a lot of bold moves throughout the series. The 'South Australian' social media coordinator won the channel 10 series - taking home a cool $250,000. She defeated Queensland business coach 'Craig Carr' outsmarting him a final showdown that was highly entertaining and dramatic moments for 2022 on free to air. We will talk about what that final moment did to the friendship between 'Alex' and 'Craig,' whether 'Alex' has been reading the comments on social media, how she kept the result a secret from friends and family. Plus how she plans to spend the cold hard cash. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Today on the podcast I have the first non-binary presenter to front a major TV show in 'Australia.' They are 'Brihony Dawson' who is the host of 'Network Ten’s' latest reality series 'The Challenge.' Brihony hasn’t exactly been plucked out of obscurity, as they have been working in media in sport and presenting for a while now but something tells me we are on the verge of seeing this person in mainstream media and along with Australia I think we are here for it. 'The Challenge: Australia' is an upcoming 'Australian' spin-off of the 'American-reality competition' series also called The Challenge, featuring twenty-two 'Australian' reality, sport stars and celebrities. The series is set to premiere on 'Network 10' onMonday the 14 November and I can not wait! We will talk about 'Brihony’s' journey to hosting this series, what they knew of the contestants prior to the show, if they get involved they in the drama and what they thought of the most problematic players. Today on the podcast I have the Australian icon 'Tim Minchin.' Who is joining me to discuss series 2 of his brilliant TV series 'Upright' - which drops on the 15th of November on 'Binge' and 'Foxtel.' The scripted drama follows our two beloved misfits played by 'Tim' and 'Milly Alcock.' Following on from the first series which saw them both thrown together by chance in the middle of the Australian desert, they re-team to track down 'Meg’s' Mum in 'Far North Queensland' and let me tell you chaos resurfaces. 'Upright' is a blend of humour and drama - which is executed beautifully. It is crafted by some of 'Australia’s' best scripted drama creatives. The first series won awards and I am sure this second series will do the same. We will talk about Tim’s creative process, whether he asked 'Milly Alcock' about her time filming 'House of the Dragon' and we will unpack the highs and lows of fame - which 'Tim' knows very well. Today on the podcast I have 'Nigel' and 'Teresa' from 'The Traitors' and and while both brought something different to the series - they made an impact in their own way. I have been lucky enough to chat with many of the contestants from the 'Channel 10' series but I certainly have been looking forward to having some time with both of today’s guests. I don’t even think you need to have watched the show to get something out of these chats today. Amazing insights from 'Nigel' and a great laugh from 'Teresa.' 'Nigel’s story is quite familiar to many, as prior to his time on the traitors he was a photojournalist who was held hostage in 'Somalia' for 460 days. He was held ransom until his family paid $675,000 USD to release him and he now works as an extortion response consultant - he joined the traitors with a back story like no other. Teresa is an MC who can command a crowd of 10,000 people, she’s a DJ, manages drag queen’s, runs netball clubs, is a mum and took this opportunity to play 'The Traitors' to prove something to herself and her community. We will talk about 'Nigel’s decision to join the show, what show is was originally slated for and we will talk about his courage to overcome his harrowing story and how he has managed to turn his life around. Then 'Teresa' gives us some hilarious insights into her life and her time on the show. I certainly suggest you stick around for her 'Taika Waititi' story - which will have you laughing for days. Today on the podcast I have 'Australian' entertainment royalty 'Kate Langbroek.' Who after decades of radio has made a big move to television. Yes we have seen her on 'The Project,' 'The Panel' and of course shows like 'Have You Been Paying Attention' but we have never seen 'Kate' like this. The show is brand new for 'Channel Nine,' it is called 'My Mum, Your Dad' and it is the latest reality TV show that is sure fire to be a hit. The premise is interesting. Single Parents being spied on by their children as they go on dates with other single parents. The show is addictive and I think we will be talking about it for years. 'ITV Studio's Australia' is seriously kicking some goals and 'Kate Langbroek' is an interesting choice for the show but it totally works. I am sorry, full discloser, I am a big 'Kate Langbroek' fan and I really do throw away the script and get to have good yarn with 'Kate' - which is a career highlight for me. We talk about 'Hughesy' and if she misses him? We unpack her possible hesitancy in taking on the role of Reality-TV-Host and I also really wanted to know what 'Kate' watches at home! There is plenty more from a wise woman with a great sense of humour. Enjoy. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Today on the podcast I have 'ITV Studio's' Executive Producer 'Alex Mavroidakis' and he joins me for the third time on TV Reload. Which is for a couple of reasons - he is my friend, he is my old boss and he has a new show worth plugging. 'Channel Nine's' 'Love Island Australia:' season 4 is already in full swing and if you’re not watching this dynamite new series - then you’re missing out big time. Go catch the first 4 Eps on 'Nine Now' with new episodes dropping Monday to Thursday. You will thank me for it! Why should you watch 'Love Island?' -Well I am glad you asked. This years group of singles are TV gold. So good looking, the show is back in Spain but also nothing works if you don’t understand the assignment and that is something 'ITV' clearly knows a lot about. It is funny, it sexy and is the best guilty pleasure outside of your own shenanigans in the bedroom. Maybe the show could be foreplay - I am not going to judge you - if that is the case. We will talk about his contestants going on Only Fans and what 'Alex' thinks of that! We will find out what he looks for in your audition videos, I will get some exclusives on the Next ‘I’m A Celebrity.’ Honestly I ask 'Alex' everything and he gives genuine answers. Which most people at his level totally wouldn’t. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Today on the podcast I have the devious 'Marielle' from 'The Traitors' and as the show gets deeper into its Murder-Mystery it would seem the noisier players are getting the boot left right and centre. As you guys know I have been loving this new series on 'Channel 10' and I hope you’ve enjoyed these chats - as it is fascinating to go behind the scenes of this show. 'Marielle' is a law student and an Iron-Man-Champion. While she looks like the girl next door - she was probably the most cunning player in the competition. We have seen her make some of the biggest moves but unfortunately she has been banished and is out of the competition for good. We will talk villains on TV and if she is happy with the edit. I will ask who the hell is Paul! (the invisible faithful), and what sort of people make the best reality TV contestants.

Today on the podcast I have 'Marc Fennell' who is an 'Australian' film critic, technology journalist, radio personality, author and television presenter. His new series 'Stuff the British Stole' on the 'ABC' which launches on November 1st is a fantastic dive into historical artifices that have stories that will surprise and provoke conversation amongst viewers. Marc has a great turn of phrase and he knows how to look for the hidden story. For years I have loved him as a film critic and I love his curiosity in every program he puts his name too. I will ask him about the shows origins, what he thinks of the 'British' after filming this series, if he thinks we should form a republic and if he is a royalist. Learn more about your ad choices. Today on the podcast I have 'Angus' and 'Claire' from 'The Traitors' and let me tell you this chat brings you some serious tea from our first eliminated traitors. I for one am loving 'Channel Ten’s' new take on the ‘who done it’ format in the reality space and I hope listeners of 'TV Reload' have given this show a go. The Traitors hosted by 'Rodger Corser' has been fascinating from day one, as we watch a bunch of unknowns thrown into a mansion together play a cunning game of 'Wink Murder' meets 'Cluedo' the board game. 'Angus' from day one had viewers and fellow contestants talking about his likeness to 'Bradley Cooper' and no mater what he did to try and hide his cards - he never escaped those comparisons or his place in the game. 'Claire' was someone to watch from the start and while she was an intense player - I genuinely loved her energy and I will be sad to see her go. We will talk eliminations, whether Angus likes the 'Bradley Cooper' reference, who they both hold the most responsible for their exit, what they think this show says about society and who they thinks will win. Today on the podcast I have 'Oz and Omar' as guests from 'The Block: Tree Change.' The boys have been an absolute delight to watch this season also making 'Block' history by being the first 'Muslim' contestants on the show. 'Oz and Omar' love a good laugh and their bond throughout the show has been undeniable. From the minute the cameras rolled on the 2022 series you couldn’t help but enjoy their infectious spirit. While things might have got them down at times they certainly knew how to pick things back up. This year the 'The Block' has been pretty full on and these two have not escaped the rumour mill - which we will get a chance to discuss today. From midnight tradies, the rumours the judges rigged the weekly scores to the boys fleeing the country nothing is held back and I have loved getting the boys truth on what has been the most memorable season on channel Nine yet. Today on the podcast I have 'Brett Sleigh' the acting 'Head of Drama' at the 'ABC' and 'Louise Smith' the 'Executive Producer' of their latest scripted drama ‘Significant others!’ I am lucky enough to unpack 'Significant Others' with these guys today. As I have a huge passion for this style of content and to have people at the top of their game walk us through how this show was made is a real treat for us today. In a world were streaming and global content has become highly competitive against our local free to air programming - it is great to see 'ABC Australia' still at the top of their game with 'Significant Others' which is just as well produced as any other show on offer. The story of 'Significant Others' centres around a family in turmoil as they deal with the sudden disappearance of a family member. The show is a highly emotional, carefully written and beautifully acted. I highly recommend you catch up on the series on 'iView' - as the show did premiere last Sunday night and will continue this week. We will talk about the series production, the actors performances, the competitive market for eyeballs on localised content and what the 'ABC Australia' looks for in the style of shows they commission. Today on the podcast I have 'Hollywood' actors 'Billy Eichner' and 'Luke Mcfarlane' plus creator Director 'Nick Stoller.' Who are here to discuss their latest film 'Bros.' Thanks to the team at 'Universal Pictures Australia.' Bros is out at Cinemas on the 27th of October and marks the first mainstream Gay-Rom-Com to ever hit the theatre. A lot of media coverage for this film in Australia and around the world has been fantastic and very inclusive of the 'LGBTI' community. Yet I will say the most important thing to know going into this film - is it is everything it says on the box and that my friends is a very funny film. I was lucky enough to see the film a few months back and have been thinking about it ever since. I wondered, is this film the funniest film I have ever seen and was curious about what that says about the current consciousness of 'LGBTI' people in mainstream media. The film centres around 'Billy's' characters trials and tribulation in finding love in the gay world and the film's director doesn’t hide away from a warts-and-all dive into the complexities of dating in 2022. We will talk about homophobia in mainstream media, how lucky we are that this film was even made, if their was a conscious decision to have all the characters played by 'LGBTI' actors and why this was chosen for a cinema release over a streaming service for people to watch at home. Today on the podcast I have 'Chloe' from 'The Traitors.' Who well and truly left her mark on 'Channel Ten’s' latest dramatic reality TV Show. 'Chloe' is a clairvoyant and while her psychic ability left her fell competitors a little skeptical - we as an audience the dramatics of her time on the show. If you are like me - you may have been dying to see a psychic-medium on a format like this and while she self eliminated herself pretty early - I would have loved to have seen more from her. If you aren’t watching ‘The Traitors' - I suggest you jump on the train as it is something new and quite fascinating to watch. It is a little bit like 'Cluedo' the board game mixed with 'wink murder' but it’s the psychology behind the decisions contestants are making that makes this show one to watch. We will talk about her abilities, if she cares what the skeptics say, why she walked out and if she regrets her decision to leave? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Today on the podcast I have 'Thomas Wilson White,' who was one of the writers on the latest incarnation of 'Heartbreak High' which has been a huge hit for 'Netflix.' Thomas is a family friend of mine and has always been an incredibly smart intelligent storyteller. The fact he has been able to demonstrate his talents and be a part of a huge hit like 'Heartbreak High is step in the write direction for your writers in this country. 'Heartbreak High' was a huge part of my early introduction into TV as an adult. Now obvious to me that it was the start of my passion for talking Television. The series broke ground in the 90’s and what a joy to see it back breaking new ground for a new generation. The characters in the show are complicated, funny and reflective of real teenagers in Australian Schools. If you haven’t checked the series out - I am jealous because I would love to watch it for the first time all over again. We will talk what the process is in the writers room was like, where Tom’s inspiration comes from, why telling stories of queer people is so important and we will get an update on series 2. Today on the podcast I have 'Dylan and Jenny' from 'The Block: Tree Change.' Who are quickly becoming two of the most celebrated contestants ever to be seen on the series. 'Dylan and Jenny' are exactly like who you see on the screen. You want to have a laugh with them, you want to have a beer with them and you would 100% let them build your dream house. 'Jenny' is a female ‘tradie’ and 'Dylan' is a laid back Aussie bloke and they both are in the trade giving them a massive leg up in the competition. 'The Block: Tree Change' is the biggest 'Block' ever made and what has won over the fans is their attitudes within their stressful environment. Fans would be interested to know they worried at times they were too quiet! However, it seems just being themselves is what people love. I will ask 'Dylan and Jenny' questions from the fans, what the drama was really like, when are they getting married, who they think will win the most amount of money and what the most outrageous story they have read about themselves online. Today on the podcast I have one of this years judges from 'AGT.' Which starts this Sunday night at 7pm on 'Channel Seven.' It is the delightful, the charming, the quintessential Aussie - 'Shane Jacobson.' Shane joins the podcast to discuss his role in the latest series and with some mind blowing acts set to wow audiences - you will hear the excitement in his voice as he can’t wait for you all to watch this season. Side note: 'Shane Jacobson' is one of my favourite actors. I have loved him on stage and screen but I have also always appreciated his love of the arts. If you think 'Shane' is a novice to the world of entertainment - you might be surprised to hear just how extensive his back catalogue of work has been as we unpack some of the different jobs he has had in the last 4 decades of continued work. I will ask Shane what makes a good 'AGT' judge, who makes him giggle between auditions, which acts he looks forward to the most and how they plan to keep the live audience silent until the winner is revealed.

Today on the podcast I have one of the shining stars of 'Luxe Listings Sydney.' This guest has been fantastic addition to the cast since joining the show in series 2. Yes, we are talking about 'Monika Tu!' The first series on 'Amazon Prime' really broke ground in a space that proved everyone has their guilty pleasure when it comes to Reality TV. This isn’t drama for drama’s sake - it is a beautifully shot real estate program with houses in 'Sydney' that could rival anywhere in the world. 'Monika Tu' is a 'Chinese Australian' woman with a lot to say but today you will get an upfront, down to earth chat that will show you why she is a success in front of the camera and in the real estate market. 'Luxe Listings Sydney' has debuted the third season already on 'Amazon Prime' and you simply have to watch it to see how 'Monika' commands her audience. I will ask what made her say yes to this show, what it is like to be a 'Chinese Australia' woman on TV, if she would feel more comfortable using her first language and we also discuss why 'Monika' is smash hit with the 'LGBTI' audience. Today on the podcast I have TV presenter, actor, entrepreneur and jack-of-all-trades. It is the host of 'The Real Love Boat's' 'Darren McMullen.' The original TV series 'The Love Boat' was a huge hit around the world, with fictitious characters falling in love but now it is a reality show like we have never seen before. The contestants are raw, a little unpolished and ready to find love on a cruise ship sailing around the Mediterranean. I think this show might be a slow burn to begin with but as the ship sets sail - I guarantee the viewers will be shocked / entertained as the show ventures in territories we have not seen on a dating show. I will ask 'Darren' why he said yes to the show, what he thinks of the contestants, how this show is different and what we can expect from the format as it gets deep within the minds of young singles desperate to find love! Today on the podcast I have another farmer for the 'Farmer Wants A Wife' 2022. It is 'Farmer Harry' who looks set to find a match in the series finale on Monday night at 7:30! This year as we know five new farmers joined the series to find real love in an another exciting new season of Australia’s favourite bush-fairy-tale. Which has been a really decent season on 'Channel 7' and '7plus.' 'Farmer Harry' has been a joy to watch this year with his genuine nature and family values. I will say some questionable dance moves but to make up for that some smooth talking. Harry is a fan favourite and I really hope he finds the right girl to join him permanently on the farm. We will talk his connection with the girls, why they didn’t use his real farm, if he he needed his Mum’s approval, what the relationship was like with the producers and why a smart leaches left the cast crew screaming! This week on the podcast I have the winner of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Down Under Series 2” Spanky Jackzon. 'Spankie Jackzon' was my favourite towards the end and I absolutely adore the type of person she was on every episode. Funny, talented, warm and massively unpolished. There is something unique and brilliant with every strut she takes. I love that most of the fans didn’t see her as the favourite and I also love how supportive 'Hannah' and 'Queen' have been to 'Spankie's' win. We will talk about her nerves going into the competition, if being a winner helps you get shagged, what she thinks the franchise needs to change and a few life lessons that I think people will get a lot out of…. However, let’s get started with todays guest I would like to welcome ‘Spankie Jackzon’ from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Down Under,’ to TV Reload! Learn more about your ad choices. Today on the podcast I am back talking about 'The Block!' As I have two more of the contestants from 'Channel Nine’s' latest series, it is the much talked about contestants 'Sharon and Ankur.' This year 'The Block' took a tree change and we have seen more drama than any other series before. With 5 houses situated on 10 acres of land and weather conditions harsher than any season before - it is actually surprising all the contestants haven’t quit the competition. So is there any wonder why today we are talking to Sharon and Ankur about their tumultuous time on the series? Probs not! However, I quite like them both as I feel like they are very real. We all sit at home and say - 'oh they are ungrateful' but we haven’t been in their shoes and no doubt we would all throw a tantrum or two. From builders spats, to picking that big house, there is plenty to pick apart and we will do just that. So stick around get the stories - from the houses mouths. Learn more about your ad choices. Today on the podcast I will continue on from yesterday as I unpack the latest reality TV series from 'Endemol Shine Australia' which is currently on 'Paramount +'. It is…. 'The Bridge!' Joining me is the winner of the series 'Bardie' - who managed to make the controversial decision to keep most of the money. I loved 'Bardie' on the show and it is no wonder why she won as most of the cast loved her too. 'Bardie' was the team leader with a heart and we will learn that she is a fantastic human too. 'The Bridge' saw a cast of unknowns forced into a situation where not only building a bridge was physically exhausting but mentally they faced a conundrum that would only see one person in charge of how the final prize money would be spent. 'Bardie' talks about her brutal response from fans, why she took the money and how she feels about that decision now, where the money is now and why she would never do reality TV again. Todays chat is really interesting and I am sure you will be thinking about it for days! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Today on the podcast I will continue on from yesterday as I unpack the latest reality TV series from 'Endemol Shine Australia' which is currently on 'Paramount +'. It is…. The Bridge! Joining me is my favourite contestant this year 'Madison' - who managed to plenty of attention from the viewers with his likeable villain edit. Some may have been polarised by his game play but others like me would have loved his upfront nature. 'Madison' is the type of casting producer can only dream of when it comes to putting together a reality tv show. The bridge saw a cast of unknowns forced into a situation where not only building a bridge was physically exhausting but mentally they faced a conundrum that would only see one person in charge of how the final prize money would be spent. 'Madison' talks about his brutal edit at times, if he has maintained a friendship with the winner, how he would have handled the prize money, which reality show he actually applied for and some sassy commentary that will delight the 'Madison' fans. However, let's get started with todays guest I would like to welcome Madison from 'The Bridge' to TV Reload! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
This week on the podcast I have the top 3 queens from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Down Under Series 2” and on today’s episode - I will hopefully give the fans a better insight into 'Hannah Conda' resume and and help you answer that question is 'Hannah' is our winner of the 2nd 'Down Under' series? This Saturday is already the finale and while the series has been a wild ride, I think the finale is going to be an excellent celebration of three very popular queens who truely deserve to be there. 'Hannah Conda' for a long time was a standout from the 'Perth' drag circuit, however quickly outgrew the 'Golden State' and in 2015 moved to Sydney where she cemented her superstar status by being the only queen to have ever won both 'Rising Star' and 'Entertainer of the Year' at the 'Drag Industry Variety Awards' (DIVAs) in the same year. Hannah has been consistent and fantastic to watch. There is something very polished and on purpose with with everything she has done this season. Fans have said it is her show to lose - so we shall wait and see. We will talk about why she nearly didn’t apply for this season, her connection with 'Molly Poppins,' why she couldn’t be bothered with the drama and of course what she will do with her win if she snatches that crown! Plus for the last time we will play my ‘shady or lady’ game - with a few surprising answers! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
This week on the podcast I have the top 3 Kweens from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Down Under Series 2” and on today’s episode - I will hopefully give the fans a better insight into 'Spankie Jackzon’s' resume and and help you answer that question is 'Spanky' is our winner of the 2nd Down Under series? This Saturday is already the finale and while the series has been a wild ride, I think the finale is going to be an excellent celebration of three very popular queens who truely deserve to be there. 'Spankie Jackzon' wears their 37 years of age with pride, already winning the 'TVNZ+' reality series 'House Of Drag' and declared "coming of age in 'Palmerston North' has toughened her up for the cut-throat competition of 'RuPauls." Which may be true with the wisdom, empathy and honesty we have seen from this popular Kween. 'Spanky' took us on a journey that no one could really have predicted at the start of the season but as we approach the finale - I think it was that growth throughout the series is how she has won fans all over the world. We will talk reality tv ‘strat’ and if she entered the show with a plan, how she joined drama without being the drama, who should be 'Miss Congeniality' and we will tackle the ‘shady or lady’ game - with includes 'Spanky’s' pick for this years winner! This week on the podcast I have the top 3 kweens from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Down Under Series 2” and on today’s episode - I will hopefully give the fans a better idea of 'Kween Kong’s' resume and and help you ask that question is 'Kween Kong' our winner of the 2nd 'Down Under' series? This Saturday is already the finale and while the series has been a wild ride, I think the finale is going to be an excellent celebration of three very popular queens who truely deserve to be there. 'Kween Kong' is of Tongan and Samoan heritage. She originally hails from ‘New Zealand’ but is currently residing in Australia and was probably the most established queen at the start of this series. Kong is known for her powerhouse performances and is also a “professional dancer’ which is why the fandom started off with hopes for this awesome drag queen. We will talk inner saboteur, the clash with ‘Beverly Kills,’ who she thinks could easily sit beside ‘RuPaul’ and we will tackle the shady or lady - with the very first offical request to be a lady. Today on the podcast I have another ridiculously attractive farmer from 'Channel Seven'’s latest series of 'Farmer Wants A Wife.' It is 'Farmer Ben' who is quickly proving to be quite popular amongst the fans of the show. This year as we know five new farmers joined the series to find real love - in an another exciting new season of Australia’s favourite bush-fairy-tale. Which is now 100% getting juicier by the episode as it continues on 'Channel 7' and '7plus.' 'Farmer Ben' is taking the experience very seriously and he has been quite honest with the girls as he navigates his own feelings toward them. It is a great show to get invested in - as we all secretly play judge and jury of who is right for our 'Farmer Ben.' We will talk, his connection with Leash, what that means for the other girls, if he has already - in his words - done his nuts and of course his bromance with 'Farmer Will.' Today on the podcast I have two of my favourite contestants from 'Channel Nine’s' 'The Block' 2022. It is 'Rachel and Ryan.' This year 'The Block' took a tree change and as we know, immediately we saw two contestants run for the hills. With 5 houses situated on 10 acres of land and weather conditions harsher than any season before - it is no wonder the first week saw our first couple in Block history to ghost the popular 'Channel Nine' program. So when the going got tough 'Rachel and Ryan' got going. Turning up in less than two days and making their mark on the highly competitive show. While their scores haven’t yet won them a week. Many fans have been saying these two are still in good stead to win a substantial of money and only time will tell. I have to say how much I enjoyed this chat Both 'Rachel and Ryan' are super gorgeous and really passionate about what they do. It is all quite infectious and I hope they do well as the show roars toward the auctions which will be here before you know it. We will discuss room regrets, who has become friends for life, thoughts some of the comments online and what they think of next years location? Learn more about your ad choices. Today on the podcast I have executive producers 'Angie Fielder' and 'Polly Staniford' who are known for their outstanding work at 'Aquarius Films,' which has a brand new scripted drama 'Savage River' now screening on the 'ABC Australia.' If you missed the episode one last Sunday - do yourself a favour and catch up on ABC iview as the second episode will debuts this Sunday night. The series set in country Victoria, is director by 'Jocelyn Moorhouse' and stars 'Katherine Langford,' 'Virginia Gay,' 'Jacqueline McKenzie' and many other fantastic Australian actors. The story follows 'Knives Out' actress 'Katherine Langford’s' 'Miki Anderson' who returns to her hometown in rural 'Victoria' after eight years in prison, intending to get on with her life. However a murder is committed in the town, and the townspeople suspect her, and she sets out to prove her innocence. The story is more than a who done it! With complex characters of a small town characters we really care about. So today will get some interesting insights into how this show was made, why 'Warburton' was used for the fictitious small town of 'Savage River' and how two Aussie content creators saw the promise of two writers from 'Tasmania.' Today on the podcast I have a feisty and yet confident Aussie queen from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Down Under Series 2.” Today's guest is Beverly Kills! From day one, 'Beverly Kills' was in it to win it and she was not taking any prisoners. The rest of the queens, at times seem to struggle with Bev’s super confidence and some would say she was the least self aware, while others could see her take on the competition simply competitive. There was plenty screen time for 'Bev' and with no eyebrows and undeniably a pretty face, fans of the show could not argue that producers had struck gold with her casting on the second down under series. It all seemed to come to a head with the numbers down to 5 and few strong words from her fellow queens. who unanimously felt it Bev's time to go. We will talk about the her confidence or false confidence (depends on who you speak to) if RuPaul taught her some life lessons? And about about that final lip sink - was she intimidated by Queen Kong? We also speak about and how she feels about her co-stars now. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Today on the podcast I have one of this years most active love interests. Someone I believe Australia is set to fall in love with. It is 'Farmer Will' from 'Farmer Wants a Wife!' This year five new farmers are ready to follow their hearts down the road to real love in an exciting new season of Australia’s favourite bush fairy tale, 'Farmer Wants A Wife,' which premiers this Sunday at 7:00 on 'Channel 7' and '7plus.' I am sure you have seen the ads and the posters around town and you know Will is super gorgeous and is sure to win over the hearts of this years female hopefuls. I was lucky enough to sit down with Will and have this chat and did all that I could not be a total creep even though Will looks a lot like 'Rob Lowe' / 'Zach Efron' has had a baby. We will talk, how this opportunity came up, how is he single, what his mates think of him signing up for the series and if he is more worried about breaking his heart than the girls lining up to find love. Today on the podcast I am so excited to have this chat with 'Robyn Butler' and 'Wayne Hope! 'They have been a creative duo on a couple of shows which I have absolute loved, goggle their 'IMDB' as I am sure you loved their back catalogue too - they are here to discuss their latest project 'Summer Love' on the 'ABC' and I am thrilled to be unpacking this fantastic new series with them both. 'Summer Love' sees eight very different sets of people rent the same 'AirBnb' at different times along the great 'Ocean Road,' capturing the collision between the dreamy enchantment of the beach and the clumsy reality of humans on holiday. There are so many relatable moments in this series, for anyone who has taken a holiday with their mates, their partner, themselves - basically 8 different denominations of potential disasters wrapped up in the warmth of an idealistic setting for the perfect holiday.. This show makes you feel seen, you will totally relate to one or more stories, but ultimately you will commiserate and laugh and have a few talking points with your friends and family the next time you see them? The acting is delicious, the team of writers is outstanding and the music is the fitting bow that ties this phenomenal series together. 'Summer Love' launches this Wednesday but by the time you hear this no doubt you will be able to watch the first episode on 'Iview.' We discuss why 'Wayne' and 'Robyn' love the 'ABC', how the show was born, whether I am crazy with my 'White Lotus' reference points and if you can rent this mind-blowing 'AirBnb' in real life! Today on the podcast I have the gorgeous queen from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Down Under Series 2.” It is Yuri Guaii! On this second season of 'Down Under' we have really been treated to different blend of personalities. Each contestant offering vastly different stories and overcoming different hurdles - making this years competition anyone’s guess on who will take home the crown! There was plenty of people online talking about 'Yuri Guaii’s' time on the show and this queen had a lot of us wondering if she was the secret trade of the season. With this week's episode focusing on a new rivalry between 'Queen Kong' and 'Beverly Kills' - it was sadly two queens in the backseat of the episode who unfortunately landed in the bottom two and saw 'Yuri Guaii' packing! We will talk about the her lack of confidence, if 'RuPaul' was accurate in suggesting there might be a backstory holding her back and a quick game of shady or lady that will see one honest answer pretty much sum up this queens time on the show. Today on the podcast I have two of this years biggest personalities on Australian screens. It is 'Tom' and 'Sarah Jane' from 'Channel Nine’s' 'The Block!' This year 'The Block' has had a tree change and this years contestants have taken on a challenge that would and should normally send anyone a little crazy. With five houses situated on ten acres of land and weather conditions harsher than any season before - it is no wonder the ratings for 'The Block' have smashed all expectations of TV commentators across the country. One of the most important parts in making a show like 'The Block' successful is getting the casting right. So when 'Tom' and 'Sarah Jane' applied for the 2022 series - it is no surprise producers were quick to snap up these two Victorians from 'Gladstone Park.' The two have a different love language to any other contestant this year or probably ever seen before and while Australian audiences are certainly polarised by the couple’s communication whilst navigating the competition I think their honesty with each other is quite entertaining and quite realistic of how most couples interact when looking for resolution in conflict. We will discuss what they think of their fiery relationship at times, what they think of audiences opinions, if their relationships with the other houses has evolved and who they think will come out with the most amount of cash! Today on the podcast I have the latest unmasked celebrity from 'Channel Ten’s' 'The Masked Singer Australia.' While we have bought his music and loved his Aussie charm - not everybody worked out who was behind the 'BlowFly’s' mask - that’s right today’s guest is 'Shannon Noll!' ‘Nollsie’ is a true Aussie legend, who we as an audience first came to know almost two decades ago on 'Australian Idol.' He somehow encapsulates the sound of an Aussie pub and a good time with your mates - which sounds ridiculous but you all know what I mean. His voice continues to win over fans and his appeal is something you need to see to believe. Like most Australian’s, I have a 'Shannon Noll' story and this is because of his generosity with his fans and the types of gigs he has been performing for such a long time. I am not shocked that 'Abbie Chatfield' and 'Mel B' were able to detect his voice under the mask and like most of his fans - we all knew it had to be him - with such a recognisable sound to his voice. We will discuss his universal cult status, why he chose to do the masked singer, if he thought he should try and disguise his voice and if he is sick of losing singing competitions? Executive Producer Penny Win from the scripted drama ‘The Twelve joins me to unpack the brilliant new Australian series! Which reaches its conclusion this week on 'FOXTEL' and 'Binge.' Over 10 weeks fans have been glued to their screens, as startling revelations of a high-profile murder trial have unfolded, alongside the stories of the 12 jurors who are not only confronted with the grim details of the case but with their own realities and struggles which will irrevocably changed their lives forever. Penny has worked across amazing shows like 'Wentworth,' 'A Place to Call Home,' 'Deadline Gallipoli' and so many other brilliant drama’s that Australian and international audiences have not only enjoyed but have celebrated. Actors want to work with her, crews want to work with her and writers know how much she values their hard work making the characters we see on our screens come alive. We will talk about 'The Twelve’s' journey from page to screen, if scripted drama is getting easier or harder to make, the pressure or constraints of delivering a certain amount of episodes and what Penny thinks of the statistic that has most of Australia believing her character 'Kate Lawson' is innocent. Today on the podcast I have the freshly eliminated queen from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Down Under Series 2” who has unarguably polarised her audience! - It is Minnie Cooper! This season on 'Down Under' we have been on a real journey with 'Minnie Cooper' - Her experience, her humour and her commitment to the show did not gone unnoticed and while she has rubbed some queens the wrong way, audiences were certainly left divided. Love her or hate her - Minnie is one impressive queen. Who I will not forget. There was plenty to talk about with Minnie and we have to pay respect to some impressive commentary with her master interviews, her conflict style was always take no prisoners and lets face it - I don’t think anyone will ever use a stapler on a dress again! We talk about the segregation she felt from the others, the 'Snatch Game' that didn’t pay off, her secret bond with RuPaul himself and some shady answers from an outspoken queen! Today on the podcast I have the latest eliminated queen from 'RuPaul's Drag Race: Down Under Series 2' - it is 'Pomara Fifth!' This week the competition heated up as Down Under series 2 saw the queens put the word sabotage under a microphone. There was no where to hide with 'Molly Poppins' getting an advantage - that saw a not so secret strategy being called out by the other queens. I did not see 'Pomara’s Fifth' elimination coming and I have really enjoyed her confidence and sense of humour. Which I think will be sadly missed. We will talk about the clashes behind the scenes, what was happening with those panties, who the queens turn to if the drama gets too much and I will also try my hardest to get some shady answers out of this reluctant queen Learn more about your ad choices. Today on the podcast I have the latest unmasked celebrity from 'Channel Ten’s' 'The Masked Singer Australia' and while we have wiggled with this guest for many years - you may not have picked her as the 'Zombie' - that’s right today’s it is 'Emma Watkins!' Emma was the first woman to ever be apart of 'The Wiggles' and while we have been in her audience for for so many years, I believe we have really only touched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what I think 'Emma Watkins' is capable of. Whilst being an actor singer, dancer growing up - she had no idea that being a children’s entertainer was going to be what would propelled to a global status. Kids love her parents love her and let’s face it who hasn’t wanted to buy an 'Emma Doll!' It is absolutely no secret why Australia loves her and in this chat you will get some great insights into the magic of her appeal! We will talk her likes to 'Anne Hathaway,' why people are obsessed with her, she studied Zombie’s to take on this role and if she knows who is behind the rest of the masks! Today on the podcast I have the latest unmasked celebrity from 'Channel Ten’s' 'The Masked Singer Australia' and this guest has a background in show business with some extra experience with the peel reveal. It is 'Jamie Durie' aka the 'Masked Singers Tiger!' Jamie started out on 'Manpower' back in the early 90's but it was his love of gardening that really propelled him to star-dome. His eye for detail caught 'Oprah Winfrey's' and after 5 years on her show the Aussie entertainer presenter became a global household name. He has been keeping busy with a lot of work in front of the camera and in the garden but when I walked away from this chat - I felt like I met a man with a thirst for knowledge and appreciation for conversation. I think what has been the recipe for his success as he has gathered amazing stories and met some phenomenal people. We will talk about 'Oprah,' a chance meeting with 'Michael Hutchins', his take home from the late 'Oliver Newton John' and plenty of fun stories from his time on 'The Masked Singer Australia.' Today on the podcast I have 'Stathi' and 'Matt' from the new reality series 'Hunted!' The hit show for 'Network Ten' saw these boys make it to the end and snag $50,000! I have never done this before but I have the boys here at my house un edited and un-filtered - they had suggested coming on the podcast via Twitter and probably didn’t expect the invitation over to my home studio - but here we are! I mean what’s a couple of Ex-Reality TV stars, who happened to be gay swapping stories on how to win at Reality TV. Mind you 'Hunted' is not an easy game and its format has to be seen to be believed. This gripping series provides access-all-areas to both sides of the pursuit, resulting in a heart-pounding game of cat and mouse that plays out like a real-life thriller. Over 9 episodes we followed these fugitives but only two made it to the end. Today I have one of those guys Stahi and his captured team mate Matt- explain everything that happened and also give away some tips on how to be picked for series 2 and how to win the cash! Today on the podcast I have your latest eliminated queen from 'Rupaul’s Drag Race : Down Under series 2!' It’s 'Aubrey Haive!' The very talented contestant swapped 'New Zealand' for 'Melbourne' a few years back and found a passion for drag during the pandemic and the rise to success has been quite quick now finding herself on the latest series of the popular franchise. There has been plenty of drama in the series so far and plenty of talented queens with fans noticing a huge improvement on the second series. However, pressure has been noticed right across the board and like today's guest a few of the contestants have gotten inside their heads with a shock exit in 'Aubrey' - leaving fans gagged! We will talk about the moment It all came crumbling down, some of the drama happening at the hands of 'Minnie Cooper,' who she’d like to see on the next series and some shady answers that will have you shook. Today on the podcast I have the latest unmasked celebrity from 'Channel Ten’s' 'The Masked Singer Australia' and this guest has been in our cinemas and on our TV screens for decades. It’s 'Pia Miranda!' While the thong was an unusual choice for the pint sized Australian actor, it was a great disguise because no one seem to guess who was behind the mask. I thought 'Bindi Irwin,' 'Carla Bonner' and so many other celebs that somehow I missed all the clues that matched with one of my favourite Australian stars. I have loved Pia’s unpredictable at times but consistent career from 'Looking for Alibrandi,' 'Secret Life of Us,' 'Wentworth' to 'Australian Survivor.' There is so many iconic TV twists and turns in Pia’s career. We will talk about a return to 'Australia Survivor,' what song she had planned next from 'Bachelor Girl,' what her family thought of her secret involvement on the show and I will get the backstory to her famous role as 'Joise Alibrandi.' Today on the podcast I have one Australia’s most celebrated athletes who has braved the masked singer Australia and won over even more fans with her emotional performance. It’s Lisa Curry. While the caterpillar had the panel stumped, It was high emotions when the gold medalist was the second to be booted from the hit show. There wasn't a person in the audience that wasn't crying and I for one had the tissues out. The country has been following Lisa’s journey for decades but with a family tragedy recently we have all watched as she has tried to put her life back together. This show was an emotional way to express her emotion and it was clearly a challenge that appeared to be a bit cathartic for her. We will talk about the reasons why she choose to do the show, the upfront approach with Hughesy, how she felt singing without the mask and if she is still second guessing saying yes to the whole thing. Today on the podcast I have the first one out of 'The Masked Singer Australia' on 'Channel Ten.' It’s 'Ryan Moloney - Australia’s most loved soap star. Fresh from Neighbours sad conclusion - we have been absolutely treated to this fanatic performance by the celebrated actor well known for his role as 'Toadie' on the long running soap. He dressed as a knight and slayer his 'Ed Sheeran' song but sadly had been sent home first. The show is a lot of fun and we have certainly seen some really impressive voices in the first episode and while it is sad we have seen 'Ryan' go, the first reveal was a truly big shock for audiences. We will talk about keeping secrets, how the songs get picked, what was planned next for his second performance and what exactly is next for one of Australian most recognisable television actors. Today on the podcast I have Abbie Chatfield who is excited to talk 'The Masked Singer Australia' which debuts tonight on 'Channel Ten' at 7:30! Abbie was a shock announcement alongside Mel B, Hughesy and Chrissie Swan as this really cements her as a television personality in the big leagues. The panel did get a massive shake up with three of the presenters exiting the show but early buzz is really positive and the launch night looks set to be a tight race up against three new reality shows debuting at the same time. Abbie talks about that casting announcement on the series, what it is like to work alongside a Spice Girl, what she will bring to 'The Masked Singer Australia,' we also discuss her commitment to social media, and lots more. Today on the podcast I have Julian Cress who is the Executive Producer of ‘The Block’ on 'Channel Nine.' The 18th series starts August 7th - this Sunday night and we have a special preview at what this season will look like! Julian was an investigative journalist before he made the change to Reality TV and very shortly after a few creative ideas - he and his creative partner came up with the concept for 'The Block' which has become a staple in our homes for nearly two decades. Very rarely do you hear people knocking back plans on a Sunday night for free to air television but when 'The Block' is dropping a new season - not even a lamb roast or a date with 'Tom Cruise' can stop most Australian families soaking up the action - with room reveals being unmissable each week. Delivering season after season, you could be forgiven for laughing at 'The Block' coming back each years with a tag line - The Biggest 'Block' in history - but when you think of the ways in which they have kept this show fresh - it is something which is kind of true and I look forward to a future season set in space - which we will probably see if the show keeps up its ratings. We talk new contestants, this years biggest drama, why they are taking the show regional and cracker of a story - which answers the age old question - how do we stop reading about ourselves on social media. Today on the podcast I have New Zealand's favourite TV personality host Clint Randell. Who is pumped to be hosting Channel Seven’s brand new dating show Heartbreak Island Australia, which launches this Thursday on 7 Plus! The show debuts on Seven’s streaming platform on the 4th of August and with less television guidelines, less rules to obey when it comes to how saucy they can go - you’d be forgiven for calling this Seven’s new streaming platform a steamy platform. Over the years we have become accustomed to our favourite dating shows on free to air television but now we have something new with a format that is designed to see the contestants hook up, bust up and manipulate their way to a cash prize that is 100 percent a tangible certainty! (I am sure they can play-out their ill-fated relationship journey on their social media platforms once the show ends but having the cash will most certainly come in handy.) Clint takes us behind the scenes, explains some of the new exciting twists instal and talks about the lack of privacy for the contestants. Sounds fun right?
Today on the podcast I have 'Dr. David Craig,' who is the 'Chief' currently leading the hunt’ on 'Channel 10’s new hit series 'Hunted!' The ground-breaking new series from 'Endemol Shine Australia' asked the question: "If you had to disappear without a trace, with a team of elite investigators in pursuit of you, could you evade being captured" Well, while that question will get answered this week in 'Hunted's' series finale - I am going deep dive into Series One and get the answers from retired 'AFP' 'Dr David Craig' who has been at the front of the hunt of those 18 fugitives. With limited funds and resources, the fugitives attempted to evade and remain undetected for 21 days. The show is an elaborate concept that has had Australia audiences questioning how true to life this show really is. So when I had the opportunity to unpack the behind the scenes with the person in the top job - I jumped at it and I have all the answers you guys have been thumbing for weeks. We will find out why a former 'Detective Superintendent' at the 'Australian Federal Police' would say yes to being on a reality show, why ‘the hunters’ never changed their clothes, (I know how ridiculous that sounds but believe you me - that has been a talking point on social media,) was there a camera crew making the fugitives too easy a target and who is set to play 'Dr David Craig' in a book based on his life.
Today on the podcast I have the latest eliminated queen from 'RuPaul's Drag Race: Down Under Series 2' - it is 'Faux Fur!' This week the entire queer media has fallen over themselves organising a chat with the queens that make up 'RuPaul's Drag Race: Down Under Series 2' - Which has debuted its first episode out on 'Stan Australia' now. Well , I am inline baby and rightfully so - the show has been an international celebration of queer and diverse themes that simply wasn’t around when I grew up. So I commend everyone for embracing this revolution. What 'RuPaul' has brought to global stage is nothing short of amazing and it has been phenomenal to see our entertainment reporters, journalist and podcasters all support this Australian version of the hit franchise. Sadly I was sick last week and had to change my plans to at the launch but I have 'snapped out of it' and am ready to bring you the tea from every eliminated queen each week. These episodes are short but certainly pack a punch - much like todays guest. 'Faux Fur' was loud and obnoxious but in drag world that is something to celebrate. So sit back and enjoy the chat and feel free to let me know what you think!
Today on the podcast I have Rebekah Emaloglou, who has popped in to celebrate the finale of 'Neighbours' which will be screened across Australia tonight at 7:30 on Channel 10! After 37 years the show will come to a fitting end with cast, old and new being apart of this massive television event. Rebekah has been apart of the soap for the last 10 years and while it is unknown how her character 'Teresa Willis' will be seen in tonights send off. One thing is for sure her character will be remembered for years to come. Fans are excited to see the likes of 'Kylie Minogue,' 'Jason Donavon' back on 'Ramsey St' and Bek is here to tell us what the final moments on set were actually like, what 'Guy Pearce' brought up on set, who still has her start struck and where she will be for the finale tonight!
Today on the podcast I have the most talked about contestant of 'Beaty and the Geek' 2022 - it is 'Mike Gambaro!' The latest season of 'Beauty and the Geek' on 'Channel Nine' has really come into its own and the show defiantly has more humour, warmth and ridiculousness than ever before. Joining the cast of 20 'geeks' and 'beauties' is Radio panellist and self confessed 'Batman' fanatic 'Mike' and since he was paired with 'Heidi' - we have fallen in love with their journey on the show. He has the most talked about make-over so far, online he ranks the most likely to succeed and whether he ends up with the girl - I feel like this isn’t the last we will see of Mike - with a bright future ahead of him. We will talk all those fake geek rumours, how often he has been catching up with Heidi, how the cast got along behind the scenes and for those 'Batman' fans - mike will tease his already penned 'Batman' script.
Today on the podcast I have one of the key ingredients to 'Neighbours' success over the last 37 years. It is casting legend, Jan Russ! Jan has been at the top of the the appreciation list when it comes to many of the actors who have walked the streets of Ramsey St. The actors who were cast by Jan loved her enthusiasm for the show and her undeniable love of actors. If you had a meeting with Jan you never forgot it - as she always found a way to add some value to the careers and the minds of the hopefuls who stood before her. Responsible for the initial cast and the ongoing series for decades - her credits include, Kylie Minogue, Guy Pierse, (all three Hemsworths), Maggot Robbie and that is just a small handful of names who found their career origin story at 'Neighbours.' We will talk everything casting, the backstory to Neighbours, early trials and tribulations, what Jan would look for in an actor and what she thinks of the soap coming to an end. However, let's get started with this celebration of neighbours I would like to welcome Jan Russ to TV Reload!
Today on the podcast I welcome Masterchef Australia’s 2022 most celebrated fans - it is Keyma and Daniel. This season as the fans took on the favourites we saw some real growth from Daniel and some impressive wins from Keyma. Both had some extra magic that led them to stand out the most. Keyma had an infectious shimmy. Daniel with his boy next door charm. They may not have walked away with the big prize but I guarantee you that their names won’t be forgotten. We will discuss how they got so far, the lasting friendships, what is next and all the twists and turns along the way!
This year Australia was treated to Reggie Bird’s return to the Big Brother House. While we celebrated 21 years of Big Brother Australia being on Australian screen we saw the same warmth, heart and humour. help win her the competition for a second time. Reggie has been through a lot with her sons cystic fibrosis, her deteriorating eye sight and a few extra bumps along the way. Never the less, Reggie has never given up and she took on this new format with just as much gusto as the younger newbies. We talk about Reggie’s win, has she heard from Gretel Killeen, her memorable moments, what she has learnt from a life full of lessons and we will even get a few home truths on some of her former housemates.
Today on the podcast I have Masterchef Australia’s 2022 winner and runner up - it is Billie and Sarah. This season we welcome back to the kitchen the most celebrated contestant ever and while these ladies had their work cut out for them with some impressive Fans, it was two remaining favourites who battled it out in the finale. This is the second time Billie has won Masterchef and while she cashed in her $250,000, I feel like this experience is more than the money. Both girls can walk away from the competition with their heads high and I can’t wait to see what they do next! We will discuss their final bond, friendships, what is next and all the twists and turns along the way!
Today on the podcast I have superstar intruder Brenton, who has been eliminated at the final hurdle of Big Brother Australia Brenton entered the competition with one of the funniest game plans to start with which was quickly nixed for his challenge beast status. The actor turned reality TV star pulled off some great moves and proved even the biggest doubters that he was a force to be reckoned with. We talk why he entered the house, whether he genuinely thought Trevor was actually Big Brother - what he thinks about flying under the radar and how his time in the house won’t affect his acting.
TOP TEA WITH THE TOP THREE OF BIG BROTHER! Today on the podcast I have the final three housemates from Big Brother 2022! The entire season has been massive a ride for all housemates and while Channel 7 gears up for a 'mega finale' to tonight night at 7:30. I have OG superstar Reggie, super fan Johnson and strategic rat bag Taras ready to unpack their road to glory! Who will win? You decide! Details on how to vote have become available on the Channel 7 website and Facebook page - head to www.BigBrother.com.au now that voting has opened - it is one vote per person per email.. Make sure you vote so your winner doesn’t fall over at the finish line. $250,000 is a lot at stake and these housemates need you more than ever! This year we saw ‘Head of House,’ a ‘power twist,’ ‘2nd chance challenges,’ ‘themed weeks,’ ‘housemate nominations’ and ‘secret missions’ all shake up the house, as returning favourites went up against a new breed of housemates. Endemol Shine Australia picked 7 of the most memorable housemates to return to the house and from, Tully and Drew to Tim Layla and Estelle, even earlier season superstars Reggie, Trevor and Framer Dave, the celebration of 21 years since big Brother launched has been epic. The O.G’s vs Newbies was how the game started out but as the numbers dwindled and alliances crumbled all that was left was Reggie, Johnson and Taras set to face the public vote. We talk why they should win and what they think of each other.
Today on the podcast I have the impulsive and strategic newbie from Big Brother 2022, it is Aleisha. Just when you thought you had a shake and bake romance in the big Brother House, think again. Aleisha did fall for the handsome and very single housemate Joel and when those feeling weren’t exactly reciprocated and her love interest got the boot - we saw the self confessed head player take on and take out some of the biggest names in Big brother history. This series Aleisha really gave this competition her all. Like it, love, hate it despise her - I have to say she was one of the best players we have seen in the last three years. Those who love a ruthless game have been loving this seasons blonde bombshell. We will talk Big Brother edits, the problematic 'what’s app' group, her female inspirations growing up and some firm answers as I ask her Gretel’s top ten questions from the early iteration of Big Brother. Which Aleisha doesn't hold back with her short sharpe answers.
Today on the podcast I have Masterchef Australia’s first ever winner and this seasons latest evictee Julie Goodwin. This season we welcome back to the kitchen the most celebrated contestant ever and while she had most of Australia banking on her second win. It was a burnt cake that cooked her chances at a second trophy on the hit Channel Ten program. Julie had the entire cast talking about her affable nature and warm presence in the competition.. With every stating what you see is what you get. Julie has been in the Jungle, on radio, in your cook books and many budding chefs have been in her cooking classes. Is there nothing this powerful woman can not do. There is a moment in this chat where Julie refers to her 'Forrest Gump life' which actually made me giggle. The extraordinary story just keeps getting bigger and better. All the while being her humble self. We will talk, what’s next, what she thought in the final cook, drinking culture, best career moments and who she thinks will win.
BURYING THE HATCHET. Today on the podcast I have celebrated former 2012 housemate and returning favourite Estelle. This episode in my mind was something I never actually thought would happen because Estelle and I have a some issues in the past but I am grateful when the opportunity came up. As we were able to talk about our previously problematic relationship and then move on to celebrate her time in the new Big Brother house. I can’t believe we caught up like this and we’re able to discuss the ‘bully’ and ‘victim’ labels that have haunted us for 10 years. I‘d love for people to understand that while housemates can clash and fall out there is usually a lot of love left in the tank - no matter how fractured the relationship has been. We discuss this in our chat and I hope we can offer some clarity on our falling out, which has been widely discussed amongst the BB forums. Estelle has played a huge role in the recent competition but sadly Estelle has lost her place in the house only a week away from the end.. Estelle is most definitely a interesting player and yet again she has navigated her way through the another iteration of Big Brother. No mater what anyone says she has resonated with a mammoth following all over again.. 'The Estellahood!' We will talk ‘heart players!’ Should ‘lies’ be called moves? Where she stands with Tim and Taras? Estelle’s friendship with Justin Bieber! Public twitter feuds and even her thoughts about the pandemic. After a contentious media presence saw people question if she was vaccinated for her Big Brother return. It’s is unfiltered, barely edited and I am very grateful for Estelle and for her time.
Today on the podcast I have the greatest Big Brother housemate Australia has ever seen. He may polarise his viewers but the love for Tim far out weighs the hate and one thing I know about Tim Dormer is his truth, packaged up with mischief and intelligent insights is always great entertainment. Back in 2013 Tim played Big Brother so well, I felt like no one was ever going to come close to his celebrated win... and in some ways they really haven’t. Sadly, our relationship has had a few bumps in the road and while we did have a lot in common - nothing ever seemed to make sense in our feud that has lasted nearly a decade. The last few months has been like therapy for me and it is a joy to share this chat with you because I have never talked to Tim Dormer like this before. (We have a lot to unpack) Tim was hesitant to return to the Big Brother franchise this year but without him it would have been a massive hole in the series. So producers pulled out the stops to lock him down and put him back in the house to celebrate 21 years of Big Brother history. Tim will talk problematic relationships including 'the Amber Heard tweet' to Estelle, how Ben Zabel would have gone in the new format, his personal journey, who he thinks will win and so much tea will be spilt - I suggest you go and grab two empty cups! However, lets get started with todays guest I would like to welcome Tim Dormer to TV Reload!
Today on the podcast I have Masterchef Australia’s latest eliminated contender its a favourite returning contestant Alvin. This season we have been lucky enough to welcome back some of the most powerful cooks ever seen on the hit reality show and Alvin has been in our minds ever since we saw him on series 2. Alvin is as cute a button and has been on an emotional but fulfilling ride this series of fan vs favourites. We have seen him cry, we have seen him overcome his demons and making it all the way to finals week has been a joy to watch. We will talk about the highs and lows, his up coming projects who he thinks will win and also which judge he would like to have over for dinner.
Today on the podcast I have Masterchef Australia’s latest eliminated contender its our gorgeous indigenous gal, Mindy. This season we have been lucky enough to welcome back some of the most powerful cooks ever seen on the hit reality show and Mindy has been building her story ever since we last saw her in 2012! Mindy has a special connection to our country and this year she has brought more than just her food to the competition. Her powerful presence allowed her to influence her rivals and the positivity in her mantra is simply inspiring. We will talk culture and the importance of food, what Mindy has planned for the next generation, who she would like to see win and how the return to home country in Byron has been so important to her story.
Today on the podcast I have Gabbie from Big Brother 2022! One of the youngest newbies in the competition. I believe this housemate was strategically place to keep the average age down of all the housemates for this season. Gabbie played a great game and she was more than just 'mermaid hair' or a seat filler. We saw her relationship grow and change but ultimately she was navigating what she thought was right… and guys that’s why this podcast chat is super fun. Gabbie had a fair few challenges within her time in the house - one being Queen Reggie not quite buying into her game, Gabbie was also the third wheel in this years 'showmance,' not always being sure on Tim and Estelle and who to trust but overall fighting her way to the second last week of Big Brother. We will talk post show. Why BB is like a 'Kontiki tour,' who will win and who need Dr Phil at this point of the competition
Today on the podcast I have Masterchef Australia’s 'gorgeous Italiano' Aldo! I have loved watching Aldo’s journey on Masterchef Australia. He cooked with a lot of heart and gave the competition everything. If he wasn’t crying we certainly were at home. He told stories about his life and shared cooking techniques that allowed us as audience to whole heartedly fall in love with him all over again. It was sad to see him go as he went up against fellow Masterchef Australia favourites Billie and Julie. He did his best with a pressure test that included a vegetable in his words with no flavour. We will talk about his husband and the choices they made for this return, we do discuss the crying, the sweat and thankfully not so much the blood and what he thinks needs to happen next for the reality show - which he loves unconditionally.
Today on the podcast I have Tik Tok and music sensation Jaycee from Big Brother 2022. While he has been eliminated from the competition, we will unpack his time in the house plus dispel any rumours that may have started during his time on the show. Jaycee entered the house with Aleisha and Johnson and the three of them had an alliance like no other. The initial bond had them in a 'friend group' that look destined for the final three. The online odds had him as a leading favourite amongst the newbies to win and while he has lost that race - there is plenty to celebrate for this housemate who has a bright future ahead in music. Jaycee clashed with Drew, made alliances, won challenges and rapped his way though the Big Brother experience. We will talk his new album, his secret or not so secret girlfriend, the way in which he processed the game post exit and what he thinks will be in the finale of Big Brother 2022! Sadly I don’t think it will not be a disco remix of oats a la Layla!
Montana has been dreaming on getting to the Masterchef Australia kitchen for a very long time. Just missing out when she was only 19 years of age. Not to let that get her down from that missed opportunity Montanan took to Tic Tok and has had views up in the millions. It was hard at this stage for producers not to snap her up and get her into the Masterchef kitchen - which was a dream come true for this loveable girl next door. However, it was a seafood plate that saw her packing but unlike the shells left in Andy’s mouth - Montana hasn’t left a bad taste in our mouths at all. We will talk auditions, hopes and dreams and a what is next for her after the show….
Today on the podcast, I have Drew from Big Brother Australia 2022. Which is kind of freaky as I had just had Tully on the podcast and coincidentally Drew has become the next evictee! When the iconic housemates (Tully and Drew) left the Big Brother house in 2013 some BB viewers, who don’t have phones, instagram (living under a rock) might be forgiven for thinking these two walked off into the sunset and had instagram babies? That did not happen and this is where the magic of returning beloved players to a game like Big Brother works because we get a follow-up to their story. They clearly did not end up together. Yet the tension was still here, making great TV 9 years later. Drew is now somehow the villain of the piece and surprisingly the 'loveable hunk' is now a 'love rat' with a completely different game strategy to what we had seen before. We will discuss the fall out regarding Drew's part in evicting Tully, why he made that problematic deal with Joel, (to get rid of their girlfriends), where he stands with those two ex girlfriends - now both ex housemates and we will talk about the you! The trolls and the fans and what Drew thinks of your comments online!
Today on the podcast I have Masterchef Australia’s latest eliminated Fans vs Favourite favourite Tommy Pham. Returning from Season 13 - he was back in the kitchen faster than you can say pressure cook. Tommy was playing with a lot of heart and cooking with gusto - so it was sad to see him leave the competition. We will talk about his feelings returning to Fans vs Favourites, how Julie Goodwin added to his experience, what he thinks brought him undone and who he thinks will be last man standing.
Today on the podcast I have one of the most iconic players of Big Brother of all time (and I am going to say from around the world) It is Tully Smyth and sadly she is out of the competition. Some housemates have an impact that last a week and very few that last a decade. Tully entered Big Brother in 2013 and we have followed her story whether it was on social media, in the press or on her podcast 'Too Much Tully' - we have been fascinated with her storytelling. Tully said she would play the game differently this time around and apart from some signature crying and complicated Drew drama - Tully added to her Big Brother conversation in a way that had us back at the water cooler - unpacking her time in the house. We talk Drew, Tim, Estelle, let’s face it everyone in that house. We get some shocks and some in-tell that will have you calling your mates. However let's get started with todays guest it is Tully Smyth from 2022 Big Brother back to the future.
Today on the podcast I have the first intruder out of Big Brother house - it is Jules. The feisty intruder who took on the most loved player of all time..... Queen Reggie! Some intruders play a small game- they creep in, hook up with housemates and try to win over audiences with a loveable attitude. NOPE! Not this 'bish!' Jules made deals, played games and unfortunately got booted before all her plans were executed. With a best mate in Estelle and not always a clear flight path with both alliances - Jules ruffled the feathers instead fluffing their feathers and we unpack absolutely everything! We will talk about Jules podcast, her relationships with the 2022 housemates, (a secret 'pash') some eves dropping and what this whole mess looks like now - once out of the house!
Today on the podcast I have Masterchef Australia’s latest eliminated contestant Michael Weldon. From the start of this season Australia has been watching Michael take on the competition for his second time. Very few people were as vocal about their desire to win and I loved Michael for his upfront approach. We will talk about his feelings returning to Fans vs Favourites over a missed opportunity to be apart of 'Back to Win,' what he thinks might have worked better over that dreaded fish cook, his unlikely friendship with Julie Goodwin and who he thinks will be last man standing. (Or Woman)
Farmer Dave talks his big reason he returned to ‘Reality TV!’ Today on the podcast I have the latest eliminated Big Brother Australia housemate, Farmer Dave. From the moment I heard he was returning to the house I have been dying to get him on the podcast. In my opinion 'Dave' is the most iconic LGBT housemate of all time. His 2006 series was one of the most talked about television events in TV history. Which involved him coming out to his family and friends on national TV. David Graham swore he wouldn’t re-enter the Big Brother house for 15 years but as the Channel 7 series celebrates 21 years on Australian screens, here he is back to play mother of all Reality Shows in 2022. We discuss David’s motivation which involves his current involvement with RuffTRACK. (Ruff Track helps vulnerable teenagers gain skills, build self-worth and foster a new lease on life via a transformational youth programs..) We will also unpack the remarkable impact LGBTI housemates have had on Australia, how Big Brother has evolved , the Trevor Butler nomination and why he felt it was his ‘time to go!’
Today on the podcast I have the latest eliminated Masterchef Australia contestant. Steph has been well and truly deserving of her dessert queen status and while she was out on a Tiramisu - I think that won’t stop us from craving some of her signature sweet dishes. Steph was a fantastic addition to the Masterchef Fans vs Favourite competition and her exit from the show is proof that this series is at the pointy end of the compeition. Imagine not being able to see or taste what you have been challenged to cook in a pressure test. We will talk about what’s next for her, who she thinks will win and if that huge Masterchef clock is the root of all evil when it comes to cooking with time constraints.
Today on the podcast I have one of this week's eliminated Masterchef Australia contestants. It is the extremely popular cook Harry. I am very excited to share this chat with you today, as I loved Harry on this season. Harry played with a lot of heart and we as audience got to really get to know this gorgeous human. Harry was a fantastic addition to the Masterchef Fans vs Favourite competition and she was a lot of viewers favourite fan. From what I have read online. We will talk about her emotional journey, the pressure to be the last person standing and why Masterchef is still one of Australia's favourite 'Reality Shows.'
Today on the podcast I have the gorgeously talented Ben otherwise known as 'Carla from Bankstown' joining me from Celebrity Apprentice… The iconic character Carla rose to prominence during COVID lockdowns - as Gladys Butter Chicken assistant. Then from Tic Tock to mainstream media - the story of a girl from Bankstown has warmed the heart of Australia like a 'hot toddy' after a three day dance party. I have loved every second of their time on Apprentice and the term 'Gronk' has made me laugh like school kid at the back of a class room. I will talk about how this amazing opportunity came about, the drama from behind the scenes, who was a 'gronk' and who wasn’t a 'gronk' and what is next for this amazing character.
Today on the podcast I have 'Big Brother love-bird' Sam Manovski. The latest evictee has been romancing resident ratbag Drew in the latest series of Big Brother. Tonight the 2022 love story has been blown up - with Sam being evicted. The new series was quite heavily promoted with this years ‘big romance’ and fans were keen to see how this relationship would play out. After all Drew from 2013 would be back living with his Ex Tully - also from 2013. ‘Drully’ have been quite the talk of the Big Brother world for nearly ten years - so how Sam would fit into that dynamic was always going to interesting. We will talk new and old alliances, ex boyfriends (now Drew and Josh.) how Sam was cast on the show and well, so many rumours that I felt like Santa Claus ticking off a Christmas list. We did have a few glitches along the way - so I do apologise for any frustration with that but overall I think I managed to clean that up as much as possible.
Today on the podcast I have Gamble Breaux joining me from Celebrity Apprentice Australia. Gamble is the housewife with a story to tell and this season we saw an energy from Gamble that could power a small village. Gamble is known for her role in the The Real Housewives of Melbourne and this opportunity has been a long time coming for this ambitious little lady. With her heart in the right place and a quirky attitude there is no wonder she has won over legions of fans over the years on Australian Television. We will talk 'Housewives' compared to 'Apprentice,' who she liked, who she didn’t so much… her new song with 'The Potbelleez' and what she might be getting up to this summer if all the stars aline.
Today on the podcast I have Masterchef Australia’s latest eliminated contestant Ali. Ali is the 10th eliminated contestant but certainly made an impact. From the start I have been keenly watching Ali take on the competition. Her attitude up until this point has been really endearing and I did feel like she would go further. We will talk about her thoughts on Fans vs Favourites, what she thinks might have worked better, what might have been a better final cook in the pressure test and what is up next for this super Mum.
Today on the podcast I have Big Brother newbie Lulu. This pint sized Brazilian has been shaking things up inside the 2022 house and its time to unpack her BB experience. Lulu arrived with a fairly unwelcome welcome from her fellow 'newbies' and then navigated a surprising alliances with the OG’s. Things were not always easy for this Brazilian but with song or two and passion for the competition Lulu survived a fair few storms during her time on the show. We will talk alliances inside the house, an unlikely friendship with Tim Dormer, if she is somehow linked to OG Layla and why she has been quite vocal about what we have not been seeing in the final cut.
Today on the podcast I have Trevor Butler. The latest O.G to be booted from the Big Brother house. Trevor back in 2004 won the series and was the only housemate to walk away with one million dollars. $$$$$$$ Trevor was one of the funniest contributors to the old Big Brother series and Big Brother fans were dying to see him back on the show to see how he would play the game this time around. We talk about his shock eviction, what that has done to his relationship with Farmer Dave, we talk about his friendships inside the house… plus we get those classic BB question back - this time with Trevor having some proper time to think about his answers. This chat was super fun, Trevor has always been a really good friend to me and I have been looking forward to hearing all about his experience.
Today on the podcast I have the 'Winner of The Voice Australia 2022' contestant, Lachie Gill. I managed to catch Lachie in the car on his whirl-wind trip of Australian media - we caught up over his win on Sunday night. Which he is still reeling from. Obviously we talked about the controversial headlines in the media today, the failed trajectory of other 'Voice' winners and why his story might be different. I also was shocked to get a massive exclusive on how he nearly forgot the words of 'Time After Time.' I mean, how could you really!!!? This season of The Voice Australia has dominated the ratings on Channel 7 and the team at ITV Studios continue to deliver a show that is popular amongst families and is still event television.
Today on the podcast I have Layla Subritzsky back too soon as she has come out of the Big Brother house. Obviously we only spoke a few weeks ago but I didn’t want to miss having a chat post show. As there was plenty of stuff we couldn’t cover last time. As I mentioned the other day I have had covid so I am a bit late with this chat - this will be the last catch-up chat and I will be back with this weeks eliminated housemate on Monday. Layla does open up more about her experience, she sheds some more light on the differences of Big Brother these days, we discuss why Oats A la Layla wasn’t shown this time around and I ask Layla if she is done with Reality TV or if she would be interested in more time on the box… I for one think she is great telly and would love to see more of her.
Today on the podcast I have Lara who last week we saw exit the Big Brother house. The Channel Seven series promised us a new bread of housemate and I honestly believe we have never seen anyone like Lara before. I chatted with Lara straight after her eviction but I have to confess - I did have “The covid” at the time and so it has taken me a while to publish this chat. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity for you to hear what Lara has to say and there are certainly times where my COVID fog did have me a little lost but I think the integrity of the chat is still in place. Lara has the best intentions socially and she speaks her mind like no one I have ever met. She was desperately worried what her kids would think of her Big Brother experience but with a challenge beast title and a new BBF in Taras - she left with more than a handful of great memories. We do talk about her failed friendship with Reggie, that final pitch which landed with a thud but what she reveals about her health and how Big Brother saved her life is one for the books.
Today on the podcast I have one of the latest eliminated Masterchef Australia contestant Melanie. I am so excited to share this chat with you today as Melanie was super fun and she is excited to share with you what is coming up for her in the cooking world. (A quick side not - last week I had covid and so I missed publishing my chat with Minoli which I have now attached to the end of this chat.) I am hoping to catch Jen as well to give you guys the gossip on her time in the Masterchef Kitchen…. But that will most likely happen next week. Getting back to todays chat Melanie was a fantastic addition to the Masterchef Fans vs Favourite competition and while she took last nights pressure test with gusto - her celiacs disease was a major set back. Imagine not being able to taste what you are cooking. It would be like losing your voice on the voice or not being able to nominate on Big Brother….
Today on the podcast I have the very handsome housemate Joel, who this week exited the Big Brother house. The Channel Seven series is staring to churn and burn this years contenders and the challenge beast with the body of greek god has been booted by his fellow housemates. I had the privileged of hanging out with Joel and his Girlfriend the night of the launch and so I was aware of his cheeky laugh and his bold descriptions of his time on the show. Joel isn’t afraid of the tough questions and is wise beyond his years. Yet a competition like this doesn’t go well for people who are the strongest in the house. Very early on Joel sized himself up against his competition and he bravely stood right out in front go the pack. This would ultimately be his downfall but not without a 'showmance' and plenty of drama before his elimination. Today we will talk everything from fluffing in the Big Brother house, to what he really thought of Alesha. I will even get him to break down his secret plan to eliminate the OG’s and that order will probably shock and delight fans right across Australia.
Today on the podcast I have Beck Zemek who has gone from Married At First Sight Australia to 'fired at first sight?' The former bride with an A grade television X factor joined Celebrity Apprentice this week with her signature business smarts and sassy remarks. Celebrity Apprentice which is on 4 nights a week at 7:30pm on Channel 9 has Lord Sugar back in Australia doing what he does best and that is terrorising celebrities. I love Celebrity Apprentice Australia! I like the way the drama builds and I appreciate, while you might not know all the celebs, the more you watch the season, the more you get to really know these people - as they try and make their way to the top. I love the support of charities as well and Beck will explain why she choice with her charity, we squash some pretty big rumours, we go behind the scenes on how this show is made and we find out how MAFS was quite different to Celebrity Apprentice when it comes to production.
Today on the podcast I have Natalie Bassingthwaighte who is one of the biggest all rounders - when it comes to the arts. You would know her songs, seen her acting, bought her clothing and sat in her theatre shows but I doubt you have ever seen her like in this latest project on ABC’s Space 22. This shows features 7 Australians' taking on specially designed art workshops to see if that will improve their mental health struggles! Can creativity help your wellbeing? Is the question at hand. The show spans 10 days of creativity. To which its creators call Art on prescription. It is an emotional ride, I will advise you guys to pack some tissues but I swear you will walk away from this show with a new perspective on mental health care… Maybe like me you will learn new things about yourself. Nat will talk jagged little Pill, her Neighbours return, Rogue traders and this years winter blockbuster Elvis directed by mr Baz Luhrmann.
Today on the podcast I have Tully Smyth who this week entered the Big Brother house. The 'mother of all reality shows' is now well and truely into its second week of mayhem on Channel Seven. So I thought this would be a great time to catch up with my friend Tully and get the inside scoop on her latest soirée back on reality TV. I think fans of the show have been rubbing their little hands together in anticipation of how Tully would react to her ex boyfriend Drew and his new relationship with housemate Sam. The nation has followed Tully over the last 9 years since her Big Brother debut in 2013 and while her on and off again relationship with Anthony Drew has been well and truly off - this kind of awkward stitch-up is where Big Brother really shines. As this is the fly on the wall human behaviour which Tully does so well. We find out how she felt being asked to return to Big Brother, who surprised her the most, where her relationship is with Drew now and we also hear a little bit about her new man Daniel Parisi.
Today on the podcast I have one of the latest eliminated Masterchef Australia contestants Sashi. Masterchef Fans vs Favourites - showed its teeth this week as we lost one of the series most celebrated contestants ever. Sashi who won series 10 was back to compete up against the likes of Julie Goodwin, Billie and Michael but this week saw his shock exit and we will get all the inside gossip. I am a huge Sashi fan and I hope that isn’t too noticeable with my excitement in my voice talking to the man himself. We do go behind the scenes of his return to Masterchef Australia and we do get some signature Sashi laughs. We find out what is next for him and who he wants to win!
Today on the podcast I have 2nd evictee Mel from Big Brother 2022: Back to the Future. Which is now on Channel 7. From Monday to Wednesday. The first cut is often the deepest - but as Mel left the competition I can’t help but wonder if Sheryl Crow should have sung it is the second cut? I wonder what else we could have gained from Mel's experience had she stayed a little longer.. Mel was a beacon of shinning light. Her positivity and energy is super prevalent in this chat and today you will get to hear everything about her time in the Big Brother house. Go behind the scenes as Mel unpacks the highs and lows, find out some secrets that we didn’t see on the show and I will also reignite a famous tradition with Gretel Kileen's 'Top Ten' eviction questions made famous from the first iteration of the series back when it debuted in 2002.
Today on the podcast I have two of Channel Ten’s Masterchef Australia favourites. It is John and Christina. It takes a lot of courage to come back on Reality TV after you have already faced your first serve but these two took the plunge and returned to the kitchen with honest and integrity which Australia really appreciated. They are the first two favourites to exit the competition but as you will find from their chats today - they have walked away with greater perspective on their cooking and have new missions in their future endeavours. We will talk about their experiences, the highs and lows, what Christina thought of the new hosts compared to the old and if she has been in touch with her former judges. John will talk about why he said yes to returning and what Julie Goodwin told him after his elimination. There are a few audio issues along the way but I hope you can bare with that - as there were some great insights from both contestants. However, let’s get started with todays guests. I’d like to welcome John and Christina to TV Reload.
Today on the podcast I have my mate and old housemate Layla Subritzky. Who is back in the Big Brother house now on Channel Seven! Layla is one of two returning housemates from the 2012 season and who better to represent that season of Big Brother then Oats A La Layla. Layla has been one of the most memorable housemates of all time and she is joining the OG’s like Tim Dormer and Reggie Bird in a 21st celebration of the mother of all reality TV shows. Layla talks about why she returned, how she nearly said no and the evaluation of her relationship with 'Social Media' that has allowed her to have some perspective on who she wants to in that public space. There is no denying Layla and I love a laugh and we have really been fortunate enough to keep in touch through the good times and the bad. This chat is super close to my heart and I am thrilled to have you all listen in to what I call a 'forever conversation between two friends..'
Today on the podcast I have Sonia Kruger back on TV Reload and of course we are here to preview the latest Big Brother on Channel Seven, Which will see the biggest and the best housemates return to face off against a new bread of housemates. From iconic winners like Reggie Bird, Trevor Butler & Tim Dormer, returning favourites like oats a la Layla and Estelle. They have found people who we in Australia are still talking about all these years later. I can’t wait to see my friend Farmer Dave back on my television and then the drama of Tully and Drew..... Buckle up Australia this is going to be epic… The show launches Monday night at 7:30 and I can confirm that viewers won't be disappointed. What has also impressed me is how well the new housemates hold up against the old housemates. The casting feels more evolved and yet this time - the Housemates unique personalties seem to shine a little more than what we have seen over the last two years. Sonia is always a great chat and who better to explain the changes to this years format. I like to think of it more as what has Big brother himself has been planning. A the real magic of this series is that it is the ultimate social experiment... all bering controlled by one person. BIG BROTHER! I will ask a few of the questions fans have been asking since the show returned in 2021 but mostly todays chat is a celebration of what I already know is a fun series…
Today on the podcast I have Max from the current series of Masterchef Australia.. Max is a testament to one of my favourite theories, to never give up and try and try again, His persistence to getting on the most successful cooking show in the world was more than admirable and I think a lot of buddying contestants should take a page from his book - or a recipe from his cook-book. LOL The competition is in its 14th series on Channel Ten and Endemol Shine Australia have served up an impressive cast of Fan’s vs Favourites and this week we settle into the competition? Today Max will talk about his long relationship with the show, what he learnt from his experience, who he would now like to win, what is planned next for his cooking career. There is so much to talk home form todays chat and I hope you enjoy our chat while we unpack Week 2 on Masterchef Australia.
Today on the podcast I have two special guests from the latest series of Masterchef Australia. Chris and Dulan were the first and second contestants to be eliminated from the competition but they totally left an impression on Australian audiences. The competition is in its 14th series and this time Network Ten and Endemol Shine Australia have served up an impressive cast of Fan’s vs Favourites. The competition is unbelievable and the food content being served up is exactly why this show is just as impressive now as ever. You can also hear with today’s guests that Masterchef Australia has a backbone to its structure that relies on building relationships rather adding manufactured drama. Which is quite rare in the landscape of reality Television around the world. Today Chris will talk about his time on the show and unpack his highs and lows. I then will move onto Dulan who will give us some insight into how he thinks he prepared for the intensity in the kitchen.
Featured Guest: Isabelle Silbery. You would most likely know her as the daughter in the Silbery family on Gogglebox Australia. Isabelle has watched 7 years worth of television with her Mum and Grandmother, Kerry and Em. Isabelle is one of my most adventurous friends, she jumps into everything with her full attention. She is smart, funny and raw. Something I really value in a friendship. Sharing Isabelle with Australia has been a beautiful experience, as I think we need more unfiltered people who are being authentic on television. The faces Isabelle pulls on Gogglebox Australia have become that of it’s own celebrity with a gif to convey every emotion a human could have… Today we are here to talk about Gogglebox Australia of course seen on Channel Ten, Foxtel and Binge but we are also here to talk about her book Out of the Box which is now available for order. The book is a memoir shared between three generations of woman - as they share the truth behind their very extraordinary lives. It is genius and I highlight recommend you jump online and order a copy right now, otherwise you will once you’ve heard this chat - as we only lightly scratch the surface of the joy in reading her book.
FEATURING: Two interviews - which both involve Lego Masters Australia. I chat with Brickman himself. Who is the judge and co-host of the show with Hamish Blake. I then chat with one of the teams from the 2022 series which starts Monday night at 7:30 on Channel Nine. And that team is Joss and Henry. Joss and Henry stood out pretty quickly as I previewed the first few episodes. Straight away you could see their Lego builds were going to be that of popular contention as the series goes on and we will get some pretty cool behind the scenes gossip from their time on the show. Brickman who’s real name is Ryan mckaught also shares his wealth of knowledge on lego and his time on the four series which has been a huge success for Endemol Shine Australia and Channel Nine. I have to admit the more I watched of the series the more I realised this show might be a fun runner for the ratings battle which is about to play out on Australian Free to air.
Featured guests: The two runners up and forth place contestants of Australia Survivor’s Blood vs Water it is Chrissy, Shay and Josh I had the chat earlier in the week with winner Mark Wales but I wanted to unpack the final moments with these guys. Chrissy is bloody hilarious, Shay was a challenge beast and Josh was pretty epic himself - just as epic as his hair in my eyes. We will unpack some brutal moments from their game and there candour says a lot about the people they are. I hope you enjoy the chat…. So lets welcome Chrissy, Shay and Josh to TV Reload
Featured Guest: The winner of Australia Survivor’s Blood vs Water Mark Wales which had it’s 2022 season finale this week on Network Ten! Former SAS Soldier, author and now public speaker Mark Wales returned to Australian Survivor with his now wife Samantha, who he met on season two of Survivor all those years ago. The pair are now married with a son but they decided to return for a second go at the competition,. Mark and Sam operated a game play which proved to be a winning formula as he celebrates a win of half a million dollars. We talk about everything, from edits (good and bad), to relationships, from ownership over the winner title to building bridges. Stick around if you want tips on how to get onto Australian Survivor as Mark gives some great advice. Plus there is so much to this chat - I think you will walk away feeling happy for Mark that he took out the game as you will get to see more of that humour everyone widely discussed post game
Featured Guest: 'KJ' from Australia Survivor’s Blood vs Water - currently on Network Ten. The ex-flight attendant, now a stay-at-home mum of three, took on Australian Survivor with her sister Sophie. They both boasted a social game but it was KJ’s ability to tame her opinions and listen more than she talked that proved Kate was a serious contender for the top prize. We talk about that advantage, her sisters post game opinions, who in the finale has the best resume and if she has any regrets!
Featured Guest 'Juicy Dave' from Australia Survivor’s Blood vs Water - currently on Network Ten. As a Project Manager at a construction firm, Dave knew he would be very strategic in the game of Australian Survivor and he certainly proved that by getting the lay of the land, being flexible and making tough ruthless calls that he was a force to be reckoned with but as he became the latest castaway to be booted from the competition - Dave was left with a sour taste in his mouth - feeling like he should still be in the competition. Dave was a brilliant player and famously will be remember for his juicy moves. Hence the nick name Juicy Dave. Today we talk about his emotions post game, how he felt after his daughter was booted, if he holds any grudges and his thoughts on how the game will end. Any way Id like to welcome to the David Goodchild to TV Reload!

Featured Guest Jordie Hansen from Australia Survivor’s Blood vs Water - currently on Network Ten. The victorian landscaper by trade is used to digging holes and getting himself out of them and boy did he dig a lot of holes during his time of the show…. despite the ease of which he makes friends on the outside Jordie played Australian Survivor like a PG villain. Always ruffling the features and keeping people on their toes. He will forever be known as 'The Joker 'to Mark’s 'Dark Knight!!!' Today we talk about his courageous game play, how he would tweak the Australian Survivor format, who he tanks should win and who is the least deserving to win!!!! Featured Guest TV legend Grant Denyer and we are going to unpack his latest gig, dancing up a storm on Channel Seven’s Dancing with The Stars: Allstars Edition. I don’t know if you are watching this current series but you really should. Catch up on the episodes you’ve missed and poor yourself a bloody Champagne on Sunday nights - cause it is very fun and grant is amazing in it. I think he could probably win - that is just my pick! Grant Denyer is one of Australia’s most loved television presenters. For many reasons but to me I have always loved Grant’s energy and from this chat today I have realised he is as sensitive and thoughtful as he isa funny… We will talk about his breakdown on the show, why he came back to dance again, after nearly saying no, his future ambition and so much more. Featured guest Samatha Gash from Network Ten's Australian Survivor ! Samatha re entered the competition with her now husband Mark Wales and played a game of Blood vs Water with gusto, passion and determination. Outside of the game, Samantha is a social entrepreneur with heart, grit and intelligence. Affectionately nicknamed Sammy. Her authentic storytelling bleeds a mission statement that has inspired millions and has won friendships with her philosophies on life. You spend a minute with Sammy and you immediate heard and involved. We will talk about her time in the competition, the decisions she made, the flack she coped and the way in which she built lifelong friendships with the entire cast. Featured Guest: TV presenter Andrew Winter. Who is currently celebrating 20 years in Television. As we eagerly await the launch of his latest series of Selling Houses Australia on Foxtel - it is hard to imagine this show has been on our screens for 14 seasons.
Andrew is often described by the Media as ‘straight talking’ and he is known for cutting to the chase and actually saying what everyone else is avoiding when it comes to real estate. Owning his domain regarding the multiple facets of renovating, buying and selling properties.
I mentioned Andrew was on the podcast today and one of my female friends declared she absolutely loves him and would watch repeats of Selling houses Australia or Love it or list it on the Lifestyle channel for days if she could. This is proof that Andrew is just as fascinating as the homes he takes on…
Today we will go behind the scenes of the much loved show, finding out how the show is made, I will ask if he misses Shayna Blaze, what is in stall for this upcoming season and you might pick up some bonus tips along the way.

Synopsis: Featured guest Michelle who is the latest castaway to be eliminated from Channel Ten’s Australian Survivor. Joining the popular reality TV companion themed 'Blood vs Water 'with her twin sister was not something Michele had foreseen in her future but with a slight twist of the arm - both twins took part in the 2022 competition and made it all the way to a rightful spot on the jury. I thought I wouldn’t get a chance to have such an open and honest conversation with Michelle because there has been so much said about her lack of screen time... I had worried it might be too controversial to ask about her take on the editing process but I was able to tackle those questions in a way where everyone was comfortable and to be honest my main concern was making Michelle comfortable with this interview. As I really respected her game play on the show. There are some really interesting insights in this chat and I loved every minute I had with Michele because there was an immediate warmth and honesty that made me realise - we could all do with some Mel and Michelle values in our life. SYNOPSIS: Featured guest Alexander Reid who is the latest "Reality TV sensation" from the Netflix Australia series 'Byron Baes!' This show has been given more flack than any Australian made series on record. From the announcement to the launch, everyone can’t stop talking about the polarising nature of this Doco-Reality-Series set in Byron and centring around 'Influencers.' To say that you like this show publicly is almost "social suicide" but for me I am just going to wave my freak flag and say that it is a great snap shot at a world I don’t take too seriously and therefore I thoroughly enjoyed my binge of the first series made by Eureka Production. In today's chat Alex gets his head around anything I can throw at him and I love his take on the show. We will talk about the countries hatred of both Byron and influencers, why he joined the show and if he has sexual chemistry with Jade Kevin Foster... his series nemesis There is so much more to this chat and I hope you enjoy it.

Synopsis: Featured guest Jessie Hansen. Who is the latest eliminated castaway from Australian Survivor on Channel Ten. This season has seen the competition tackling an age old debate - 'Blood vs Water' and when Jessie’s brother asked him to join him on the 2022 series - it was a no brainer for the Survivor enthusiast. However, in one of the biggest moves of the game, Jessie’s closest alliance Sam not only blindsiding him, which saw Jessie leave the competition but the knife certainly twisted when Sammy also swindled his idol at the same time. What I expected from Jessie today was vengeance but I was surprised that he is leaving that kind of retaliation for the latest Batman film. Jessie talks his relationship with Sammy, where they are at now, what he thinks will be the fate of his brother and we get a sneak peak behind the scenes from the aftermath of Blood vs Water.

Featured guest Simone Holtznagle who is the latest recruit to leave SAS Australia on Channel Seven. Over the last few episode’s of TV reload - you would have heard me reference my personal relationships with Angie Kent and Khan Ong and now with this episode it might seems like I must be pretending that I know everyone… I honestly don’t know everyone but a bizarre anomaly was that three of my friends left reality shows this week. And I got the privilege of talking to them about their experiences. So full disclaimer - I have known Simone for nearly 10 years - so we will share some of our history - especially with our mutual friend the late Charlotte Dawson. Simone became a household name in 2011 when she appeared on Next Top Model, she then went on to international acclaim gracing the cover of Playboy Magazine and also became a featured Guess Model - which is massive achievement for our girl from AUS - in later years you might have seen her on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. However, her post pandemic role in SAS Australia has us talking about her career, her friendship with Charlotte, that pepper Spray and some behind the scenes gossip from the show. I think you will love Simone’s honesty in the chat but I will offer a trigger warning, this episode does include the discussion of suicide and if that does provoke your own feelings of distress please call life Line on 13 11 14. ‘

Featured guest Khanh Ong who is the eleventh person to be eliminated from Australian Survivor 2022. Channel Ten didn’t have to look far with this reality TV superstar, having competed in two seasons of Australian Masterchef and I don’t even think the producers at Endemol Shine Australia had any idea how great a player Kahn would prove to be. While he won 60,000 dollars before being eliminated last night - Khan walked away with his head held high and a nick name commonly used to a super players, that being a King. We talk what the game would have looked like had his sister Amy survived a little longer, what he thinks about Sam not giving him 'the heads up,' a secret injury and who he thinks will win?

Featured guest Angie Kent who you might now as a darling reality TV. From Gogglebox to the jungle - from The bachelorette to the dance floor - there isn’t a network or production company that hasn’t hit her up for a job in the last few years. Angie wears her heart on her sleeve and is one of the most relatable personalities on the TV circuit. I feel like we have only just seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what Angie is capable of. If you can’t get enough of the pint sized Queenslander with her presence on the telly you can catch her with best friend Yvie Jones on the popular weekly podcast Two Girls One Pod. Today we are talking Dancing with the stars which will see Angie return to the popular format. The Allstars juggernaut is on channel Seven Sunday nights at Seven Thirty and while I have been lucky enough to see this weeks episode ahead of this chat - I can’t recommend enough the chance to see Angie dance with Partner - as I am still bobbing to the moves and will no doubt be rewatching the episode when it goes live. We talk behind the scenes, future projects and all that is in between.

Featured guest Ben Watson from Australian Survivor. Who is the 10th person to be eliminated from the Network Ten series It may appear that I have become the Australian Survivor Podcast but I promise you - I have a great Married At First Sight coming up. Thanks to the team at Channel Nine and also a chat with one of the fallen SAS competitors competitors from Channel Seven but I have been lucky enough to get some time with Ben to discuss all the mess and mayhem from his time on Australian Survivor. The 33 year old 'tradie' from Queensland will be remember for getting into some hot water with a mates blindside but for a lot of fans he will be remember for how hot he looked in a pair of speedo’s. Joining the show this his partner Shay - the pair have certainly oozed a lot love and respect for each other -which was evident on the show. We will find out what the couple have said behind closed doors, how he feels about his game play, whether he would ever return to Survivor and what he might have changed - if he had his time again.

Synopsis: Featured guest Michael 'Croc' Crocker from Australian Survivor who is the 9th person to be eliminated from the Network Ten series This year the global phenomenon produced by Endemol Shine Australia has had me hooked from day one and I have been lucky enough to get some time with Mick, appropriately nick named 'Croc' to discuss all the mess and mayhem from his time on the show. The ex NRL Queenslander joined the competition with his sister in law Chrissy who has proven while she might not be the biggest Australian Survivor super fan but is defiantly a super threat. We will find out what Croc thinks of Chrissy outlasting him, the aftermath of his mate’s 'blindside,' who he is still in touch with and why the hell is no one flushing Khan’s idol.

Synopsis: Featured guest Amy Ong from Australian Survivor, who is the 8th person to be eliminated. From the Network Ten series This year the global phenomenon produced by Endemol Shine Australia follows the theme Blood vs Water which sees competitors playing alongside their loved ones. Amy joined the 2022 castaways with her brother Kahn Ong and while we never got to see them both reunite - it was clear to audiences they have an unshakable bond.. With plenty of wheeling and dealing I actually really enjoyed Amys time of the current series and today we will ask her about why she joined her brother on the series, her thoughts on what could have been and who she thinks will win.

Synopsis: Featured Guest Erin Vincent who is the Executive Producer on Q&A. I have been a fan of the ABC show for many years and what Erin brings to Q&A is her natural love of good journalism. From working behind the scenes on some of the best news broadcast jobs - it has been this program that has allowed Australian audiences to hear much needed conversation from which she orchestrates behind the scenes. Networking her panel, preparing audiences with their questions and rotating hosts. This format allows us an audience to be educated and to feel like we are apart of the conversation. I will ask Erin about what to expect this year on the show in 2022, why the change to Thursday night needed to happen and if the current government has any influence on the current landscape of the show. There is plenty more in our chat and I hope you like the episode.

SPECIAL GUEST ADRIAN SWIFT: CHANNEL NINE'S HEAD OF CONTENT PRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT I have kept in touch with Adrian Swift over the years and what I have always loved about this man is his storytelling ability. Not only does he understand the fabric of engaging an audience - with the shows he makes - he is one of those characters that comes into your life who draws you in with his infectious warmth, generosity and intelligence. I could honestly talk to this man all day. So who better to unpack and explain the current season of Married at First Sight Australia made by Endemol Shine Australia. We will have a look at his interpretation of the show and of course take a look back at the history of Australia’s relationship with the widely popular and at times controversial program. We will discuss the importance of both the good and bad television critic's opinion of the series. Plus why the show still rates in the current landscape of free to air television and I will ask about the future of Love Island Australia, Snackmasters and Parental guidance.
Dylan Lewis has been in our lives, though radio and television for as long as I can remember. He is a genuine soul who connects with his audience by being his authentic self. It is absolutely hilarious that he has just won another reality show but it is also really heart warming to know that he is just as loved now as he has always been. I feel like this is going to remind studio bosses and executives that we need more Dylan Lewis in our lives. We discuss the rumours about his casting on the show, his passion for Lifeline, his ambition moving forward. And I guarantee you a few good laughs and some thought provoking conversation as well. It is all very Dylan Lewis!
Today on the podcast I return to talk television for 2022 with Alex Mavroidakis from ITV Studios. Mav is not only an Executive Producer I have worked with but someone who is currently at the top of his game.
He has started the year for his 7th time with an Australian TV staple, 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.' Which has again won the hearts of its audience with his mantra "Humour, Heart and Heroes.'
Alex is smart, funny and is very generous with his insights into television - I honestly love catching up with him and I am sure you will too.
The season finale of ‘I'm A Celebrity' will have its season finale on Sunday night at 7:30 on Channel Ten and today we will unpack the whole series and also ask him the questions most producers would never want to ask.
From Beau Ryan’s exit to how he made a nobody a celebrity. Plus what he thinks of the Allstars concept and if we will see that in the jungle?
I have two of the lead actors, both Elodie Yung and Aiden Canto from Binge’s latest big budget series The Cleaning Lady on this episode of the pod. Their series revolves around a highly intelligent Cambodian doctor living in the U.S.A as a cleaner, while waiting for a medical treatment to save her son. The female lead played by Yung witnesses a brutal murder that places her in a situation that is almost unimaginable. As an audience we see her negotiating with a high level criminal played by Canto and doing all that she can to stay in the USA and get the treatment her son needs to stay alive. I have to say this show is quite compelling from episode 1 and for people who love suspenseful drama’s this offers more than just that. It is a fantastic character pieces with performances that will keep you watching right to the very end. BOTH THE LEADS FLOURISH IN ROLLS THAT WILL NO DOUBT HAVE THEM AS HOUSEHOLD NAMES IN YEARS TO COME. We will discuss the need for more compelling dramas with wider varieties of international stories and culture and also what it was like to work with Oliver Hudson the son of Goldie Hawn and brother of Kate Hudson.
Today on the podcast I have one of my favourite housewives from the latest series of The Real Housewives of Melbourne - It Is Simone Elliott.
We have come to the end of another RHOM series and with only the finale left, we as an audience have well and truely picked our sides over the most explosive divide ever seen on the franchise.
Simone has laughed, cried, stood up for herself and won over the fashion world of Australian audiences.
The blonde bombshell has walked away with legions of fans and if there is to be another series - already audiences are begging for her return.
We talk tantrums, female relationships and all the inside gossip from behind the scenes of this year. I actually can’t believe the tea this housewife spills,
Today on the podcast I have one of ABC Australia's most prized TV content makers Kalita Corrigan. Kalita has just launched my favourite new program 'Books that Made Us.' .An insightful look into Australian Authors who have made an impact on the world with best selling novels that reflect our Australian culture. As an Executive Producer for ABC Arts, Kalita oversees a vibrant slate of series and feature documentaries. Kalita is passionate about making the arts accessible to a broader audience, her work includes Tiny Oz, Inside The Opera House & AACTA Award-winning feature documentary: Firestarter – The Story of Bangarra. Previously, Kalita was a director and series producer in the independent sector, and has made a broad range of programs for the UK, USA and Australian TV markets. Now working at ABC Factual & Culture Kalita consistently produces high quality, award-winning, Factual and Arts programs that feature Australian voices, places and stories which connect with a broad audience across a variety of ABC platforms. Today we will unpack the new ANC series with Claudia Karvan Books that Made us and I simply can’t wait to talk about how this show got made and why it is important for Australian audiences. The show did launch last week and you can catch up on the 1st episode on ABC iview and episode 2 will be seen this Tuesday at 8:30 on the ABC.
This week on the podcast I have Yvie Jones!
Yvie joins TV Reload to promote her latest TV project 'Snackmasters,' which launches on Channel Nine at 7:30 Monday the 29th of November.
The series is absolutely mind blowing, as famous chefs try to recreate some of Australia's most iconic snacks.
From classic candies to fast-food faves, viewers will get a sneak peek into confectionery production to see how their scrumptious treats are meticulously made. Yvie's role as Food Detective and committed sweet tooth, journeys deep within the factories to discover what goes into the creation of Australia’s favourite snacks and see where our chefs are getting it wrong – and right.
We discuss body image in Australia, her bestie Angie Kent and all the behind the scenes gossip from the production of Snackmasters.
I hope you enjoy my return to the podcast with one of my good friends Yvie Jones.
Today on the podcast I have internationally acclaimed TV producer Sally Woodgate. Sally is here to promote her latest project Ragdoll which will premiere on Binge in Australia today. Ragdoll is an upcoming internationally co-produced thriller series based upon the novel of the same name by Daniel Cole. The series follows the murder of six people who have been dismembered and sewn into the shape of a grotesque body, "The Ragdoll". As leading characters begin to investigate, the killer begins to taunt them. I have seen the first two episodes and it is really is something to see to be believed. The series has a unique ability to make you laugh and be terrified at the same time. At times you feel like you are watching Silence of the lambs but then there is a comedic undertone that contrasts that whole feel and makes the series almost classified as a comedy. Sally and I will unpack the new series with some exclusive behind the scenes stories that will leave you reaching for a binge subscription Sally has teamed up again with Freddy Syborn and you would know their work on Killing Eve… which became an internationally celebrated hit series which the world fell in love with.
Kirsty and Jesse have proven to be a strong competitor on this years massively successful season of The Block: Fans vs Favourites. Channel Nine has served up a showdown of epic proportions in 2021, as Australia’s most successful renovation reality program. The Block grew in ratings to epic proportions and no one will be forgetting todays's guests in a hurry. Together since they were 16 and married now for seven years. Kirsty and Jesse are a rock-solid couple. Whatever they do they give 100 per cent and being on The Block was no different. Coming from humble beginnings, they saw the competition as a huge opportunity to get ahead in life and very soon we see them go to auction. On this episode we will talk about their time on the show, their relationships with the other houses and if in fact Jesse is a gay porn star…. From a McDonalds diets to their thoughts on the negative comments online… we will get a front seat to the final full house reveal this Sunday.
Featuring Kevin Carlin who has an amazing career in television. He is a well respected director of Australia’s most iconic scripted drama and comedy…. but also recently he has finished up on the final series of Foxtel’s Wentworth. Directing the last two episodes. Find out how he got started, go behind the scenes for the last time on Wentworth which has its series finale this Tuesday at 8:30. Only on Foxtel. Fans of the show will delight in all the exclusive stories with some of the actors and characters who we bid farewell to this week. Including some of the actors who have come and gone like Bea Smith on the Prisoner re-imagining. (Who in my world is the most iconic character of the series played by Danielle Cormack.) Kevin Carlin might not be as well know to the viewers as some of the actors he has directed but with a resume as long as his. I guarantee you have seen more of his work than even James Cameron and possibly Steven Spielberg. LOL Think Blue Heelers, Grass is Greener, Packed to the Rafters, Winners and Losers, Sea-Change, but more exciting for me, his world with Big Girls Blouse, Fast Forward and even a few telly movies like Molly! I love Kevins ideas on storytelling and his passion for Australian content being made in this country and if you like a good story told well than today you will love this chat.
Beth Hart joins TV Reload as a special guest. As the Head of content at ITV Studios Australia and we discuss her amazing career in television plus her latest 'TV baby' Love Island Australia. Channel Nine has just launched Series 3 and with more false starts and changes to location that a Mission Impossible film. You would be forgiven for calling the show 'Where is the World is Love Island Australia!' Beth has worked across the world on some of the most iconic shows in history. From UK X factor (incising the series that had Little Mix won) to I’m.A Celebrity UK, US and Australia… Beth has done it all. Everyone who works with her says she is a phenomenal talent and those who work under her a-test to Beth being a boss that everyone wants. Which in the TV Biz is a pretty amazing reputation. If you haven’t been watching Love Island Australia - then I suggest you put your togs on and pretend you have a body to die for and catch up on Nine Now. However, there is something in this chat for everyone as we go behind scenes on Love Island Australia.
Jackie has been on The Real; Housewives of Melbourne since day one. She has weathered the storms, 'shined it up' and shared her story with the world. The show is back Sunday nights on Foxtel at 8:30 and then out on Binge. If you have missed the first episode of season 5 then you need to catch up on that as soon as possible. Jackie has been very open with her IVF struggles. She has really stepped it up in the eyes of the producers to prove she is the heart and soul behind the latest series. Today we unpack the drama that is before us, her thoughts on Gina and Lydia exiting the show, which of the new housewives she gets along with and we talk about her loyal friendship with Janet. One of the biggest pot stirrers of all time. This series promises to be the most unforgettable yet with shocking twists and turns in store for the ladies but with a pregnant sober Jackie don’t expect her to be quiet, as she is louder and brighter than ever.
Executive Producers Lisa Potasz and Pip Rubira have worked on all 5 seasons of the The Real Housewives of Melbourne and that is not to forget their roles on other Housewife series' like Sydney and New Zealand. If you want the tea spilt on the real behind the scenes drama and the real magic that goes down while making a real housewives franchise - then this podcast will have you glued. Lisa is a well respected and sort after producer, who has worked across many productions like Project Runway and has come back to the Housewives franchise to consult. Which has allowed for Pip to step up and take on the Executive Producer role on this series. The two have been working their magic for 7 years and have been instrumental in finding the right balance of humour and drama on one of Foxtel’s most celebrated TV series. The fifth series launches on Binge and Foxtel this Sunday night at 8:30 and if you you can’t wait for that, feel free to re-watch classic episodes of series 1 to 4 on demand now. This series promises to be the most unforgettable yet with shocking twists and turns in store for the ladies but in what is an exclusive chat with TV Reload we will go behind the casting secrets, the on set and off set fights. Plus if there will be actually be a "Vanderpump walk off" and if the girls have ever considered a real househusband for Melbourne.
Mitch and Mark make up a large percentage of The Block's 'favourites 'part of the 2021 competition. Very quickly into this chat I worked out why. The the boys are so much fun to work with. They are both generous, thoughtful and wickedly funny. Both can tell a story better than most and while we could get bogged down in the stereotypical parts of their same sex relationship they are just normal every day Australians living their lives like anyone else. Maybe with a better relationship manual than most people. The boys really do pop on the show this year, the fashion, the one liners and the no bullshit mentality has really worked. We will unpack their return to the show, their current relationship with the other contestants and stick around for a jaw dropping or should I say pants dropping story that will leave you speechless. The Block is dominating the ratings and after 17 seasons - it is a phenomenal show with a fan base and audience as loyal as any sporting team. Weekly, we learn how to build houses, or at least get inspiration to do so, we laugh and cry along with the contestants. Not to forget all that drama this year has made national headlines.
This episode is pretty cool, Amazon Prime Video set up this amazing chat with Michael Ratner in L.A. He is promoting his latest documentary Justin Bieber: Our World. Which premiers Worldwide on Amazon Prime Video and that release date is October 8th. So pop that in your diary. However, Michael is the founded of OBB Pictures and under his leadership that company has grown into OBB Media, a leading media company with divisions in film, TV, digital, podcasts, branded content, and has amassed over 1.6 billion views. His relationship with artists is beyond compare, gaining access to some of the most recognisable names in the business. In this chat we will focus on his relationship and collaboration with Justin Bieber and I have to tell you that during this conversation I was able to ascertain that Michael is kind, thoughtful and a genius at unlocking storytelling that immediately made me realise I was talking to one of the best 'Doco' filmmakers in this space of our time. Justin is at the top of his game, FYI Justin Bieber’s new single Ghost is available to stream now on his #1 album Justice. Which if you have Bieber fever - you’re going to want to download.. also in preparation for this upcoming doc Our World, I suggest you go back and watch 'Seasons' which was a previous collaboration between Michael and Justin. Michael really knows how to capture the story behind the story and I hope you check out all his work, not just with Justin.
Belinda Chayko is early awaiting her new TV series 'Fires' to debate on ABC Sunday 27th of September at 8:40pm - which is another highly anticipated Tony Ayres collaboration. The series does follow the 2019-2020 fires that devastated Australia and you won’t want to miss a moment of this highly emotive piece that will leave you thinking about our duty to the planet for days. The actors are first class, with Miranda Otto, Richard Roxbourogh, Sam Worthington and Noni Hazelhurst - just to name a few. There are some outstanding performances by the younger cast Eliza Scandalin and Hunter Page Lochard… which makes you realise we have a new generation of talent brewing in our country. Belinda will talk about the urgency of the story, the creation of the characters, amongst a lot of additional behind the scenes stories we will also address, if in fact this story is too close to home and why it might not be for everyone. Belinda is smart intelligent woman and by the end of this chat I am sure you will be compelled to check out her back cater loge of television credits.
Emma Hamilton is currently staring in the reboot of Royal Flying Doctor Service: RFDS! Which this week concludes on Channel Seven. If you have missed the exciting new series? You are free to watch it now on Channel Seven's catch up service SEVEN PLUS. Which I highly recommend!
We are yet to know the fate of the new scripted drama and I for one hope we can all band-together to get the next series in production. It is well written, well acted and the stories are endless for the Broken Hill setting of the RFDS.
The season finale does end on a cliffhanger and that makes me feel like we have hope for Emma’s character moving forward. Dr Eliza Hamilton is the main character of the new series and I feel like things are just heating up.
Emma has been seen in countless roles on stage and screen in both England and Australia. There is a warmth to her acting, which is always present and her passion for creating characters is inspiring.
We talk about the actors who have inspired Emma’s work - including a story about a chance meeting with Kate Winslet. How she won the role of Dr Eliza Harrod and if she has made life long friends with Justine Clarke.
This week I have director and producer Chris Martin Jones who will explore his relationship with the Australian Television industry.. Chris has directed and produced some of most loved scripted drama’s in Australian television and is fresh from his work producing Back to the Rafters, a reboot of the acclaimed and award winning TV series Packed to the Rafters. We will focus on this exciting new chapter for the 'Rafter' family, as one of Australia’s most loved TV series returns to the small screen for the highly anticipated brand new six-part series, Back to the Rafters which premieres exclusively on Amazon Prime Video globally on September 17. We will get the inside-scoop on how the original Packed to the Rafters captured the hearts of the nation. Plus the hurdles it took to bring back the cast and crew for this encore series. From Jessica Marais exit to the recasting of her role. We will find out who Chris realties to most in the 'Rafter' family and how COVID shut down production. There is also a really fun and might I say cute story at the end which will brighten up your day.
On this podcast I have the finale three castaways from Channel Ten’s Australian Survivor. They unpack and share the highs and lows of series 8, Brains vs Brawn. Joining the winner of 2021 Hayley is runner-up George (otherwise known as king George) and third place Brawn favourite Flick. Il’l ask those questions you are drying to know the answer to and provide you with an in-depth look a the decisions made at the final tribal council! What exactly were the finale three thinking during the last intense challenge? How would things have gone down if certain elements were different? We will find out more about Hayleys game plan, Flicks tough decisions and King George’s love life. You will hopefully walk away like me, feeling like you’ve just caught up with some old friends. The final three breakdown their interactions with each other, the rest of the castaways as well as their thoughts on you… the Australian Survivor community. I won’t leave any stone unturned.
This week I have special guest Kirsty de Vallance. Who is a casting genius!
Kirsty runs the TV production company 'A Cast of Thousands.' Which has cast some of the biggest reality TV shows in the country and is currently working for Screen-time Australia.
Kirsty would have to be one of the most sort after creatives in the country and I have to mention that everyone of the people I spoke to leading up to this chat talked about her empathy, intelligence and ability to un-earth stories at level that most people could only ever dream.
You might recognise Kirsty's name for her work on reality, factual and documentary shows like Big Brother, Masterchef, Playing It Straight, The Bachelor, Farmer Was a Wife but today we will focus on the Channel Seven’s smash hit SAS Australia.
The Seven Network is of course about to launch their 2nd series of SAS Australia on Monday the 10th of September at 7:30pm and all eyes will be on the 17 celebrities who will face some of the most toughest challenges at the hands of an elite team of EX-SPECIAL FORCES SOLDIERS!
These star recruits will be cut off from the outside world at a secret base in harsh but spectacular terrain, where they will eat, sleep and train together in punishing conditions, with no allowances made for their celebrity status, age or gender. As they’re subjected to extreme physical endurance, sleep deprivation, interrogation and psychological testing, these celebs will be pushed beyond their limits.
Kirsty and I will talk about how to stand out in casting, how celebrities get picked, we discuss if we will run out of celebrities and the backstory to her amazing career
Tony is a showrunner, screenwriter and director in television and feature films. He has made a big name for himself with films like Walking on Water and The Home Song Stories and has had great success working on television content such as Stateless, The Slap, Barracuda and popular teen adventure series Nowhere Boys. From his work at Matchbox Pictures to starting his own company (TAP Tony Ayres Production) - you would have seen an enormous amount of his stories. In the industry, people speak really highly of Tony Mainly because of his generosity, his intelligence but above all his ability to tell stories well. Today we will be talking about the brand new series Clickbait on Netflix. Which is a brilliant Who done it murder mystery with real sub tech that will have you talking about it long after you’ve watched the series. The show is number one on Netflix at the moment and is simply addictive viewing. We will go behind the scenes on that show but I will also get a chance to ask Tony about his passions and inspirations which he packs in classic Tony Ayres style.
The Block Twins, Josh and Luke explain every scandal they are currently tied up in! The boys certainly have a 'loveable larrikin' nature and we have seen that in the first soiree of Reality TV on Love Island. However, they are front and centre of the biggest cheating scandal in television history and they are under fire as that scandal rolls out. Channel Nine has picked up in the ratings as this season has heated up over the last week. Lots of accusations and lots of drama to pull apart. I will talk to the boys about their partying, that 'not painting drama drama,' their relationship with producers, what they think of their fellow contestants and if we will get a resolution with the biggest cheating scandal in television history. They will also predict at this stage who they think will win the show. It is a great episode and a great entry point to the season if you're just getting on board.
Marcia Gardner is an Australian screenwriter who has been working on Wentworth for nearly the entire run. Marcia also has worked on shows such as The Doctor Blake Mysteries, Paradise Beach, Pacific Drive, Medivac, All Saints, Heartbreak High, Stingers, Blue Heelers and Sea Patrol. However today we will be going behind the scenes of Wentworth: The Final Sentence. We will unpack everything from Bea’s death, to the freaks reappearance and all the ways in which the writing has kept us glued to the screen since 2012. The FOXTEL show is wrapping up and I think todays episode is a great companion for all Wentworth fans. Marcia is one of the most regarded writer producers in the business and I am sure you will love her stories.
Katrina Milosevic joins me from from the award winning series Wentworth. Before taking on the role of 'Boomer' Katrina graduated from (NIDA) and has an illustrious career in all genres of theatre, film and television. Katrina is probably best known for her portrayal of Sue “Boomer” Jenkins on Wentworth. But her other Other television credits include Sea-Change, Seven Types of Ambiguity, Glitch, Offspring, Winners & Losers, Neighbours, and Blue Heelers just to name a few. She was nominated for a TV Week Logie for Best New Talent in 2004 for her role in the TV police series Stingers. We will be talking about the final series of Wentworth: The Final Sentence which started on Foxtel this week. We will talk about the journey 'Boomer' has been on and the way this character impacted the series… We have secrets from the set, stories about Katrinas relationship with the other actors and what Bernard curry told her one hour before he entered the Big Brother house… This chat will no doubt warm your heart and I hope you enjoy the inner workings of an amazing Australian actress.
Executive Producers Chloe Baker and Leigh Aramberri join TV Reload to chat about The Voice Australia on Channel Seven which this year has been blitzing the ratings. Both Leigh and Chloe work for ITV Studios and have been rightfully lamenting the success of this season. We will talk about the reasons why the show has resonated so well with Audiences. We will find out some exciting secrets from the set, Plus some inside 'goss' on the coaches and we will also find out how these guys got started in the TV industry. Both took time away from their current work, Chloe from Love Island and Leigh who is already working on two new seasons of The Voice for 2022. One which includes a spin-off series called 'The Voice: Generations.' I am super grateful for their time. These guys are at the top of their game and could not be more humble about their success - so I hope you enjoy their banter and hilarity.
Featuring actress Doris Younane, who’s career spans over 35 years with an extensive body of work in film, theatre and television. I have seen Dorris in all of those formats and have loved her work from an early age. You would remember some of her career highlights: such as the film The heartbreak Kid which subsequently went on to have its own TV series which she also stared in. Doris’ extensive television credits also include Blackjack, Sea Change, Party Tricks, The Wrong Girl, Secret city and if you haven’t seen Frayed then check that series out on ABC iVew. We will be talking about Doris' role as Heather in the TV series FIVE BEDROOMS which is only available on Paramount + the latest steaming service in Australia. Heather is complicated, warm and in Doris own words we have not seen a character like her. I hope you listen to this interview and check out Doris' work as she is Australian actor royalty.
This week on the podcast I have Michael Lucas featured to chat about 'The Newsreader' on ABC which debuts this Sunday night at 8:30 PM. (15th August) Michael Lucas is a writer, producer and script editor. He’s worked successfully across several genres, from the relationship dramedy of Offspring, to the Prison thriller of 'Wentworth,' the political drama of 'Party Tricks,' and the comedy of 'Rosehaven.' He was also involved with a couple of iconic TV deaths, like Patricks death on 'Offspring' and Bea's death on 'Wentworth.' While that may seem bleak he has also cultivated and created some of the best TV characters of this generation. He is one of my favourite television creators and I can notice his work in everything he does. Today as we focus on 'The Newsreader,' we will discuss sexism in the newsroom, the gains LGBTI people have made on Australian TV’s and of course how the show was researched and put together.
Today on TV Reload I have Simon Mee from Australian Survivor. He played a strong game right from the start and has been featured heavily thought-out the current series of Brains vs Brawn on Channel 10. Sunken with two immunity idols, he is the shock elimination no one saw coming. Which is what all Survivor fans know as a ‘blindside.’ I for one am going to miss those budgie smugglers and his game play. however, the show must go on to outwit, out last out play till we have a winner.
This week on the Podcast, I have the delightful Shelley Craft to chat about The Block ‘Fans vs Favourites.' I have already been watching the series which debuts on Sunday the 8th of August and I can confirm this season is the most explosive yet with some confrontation and drama that could rival MAFS. Shelley Craft is back for her 14th year as the series. Shelly has an infectious laugh and a turn of phase that audiences have been enjoying for many years. I have loved watching Shelley’s career grow from strength to strength - as I have followed her career since 'Saturday Disney' and 'Funniest Home Videos.' Shelley has been a staple on our screen for as long as I can remember and I am delighted to chat with her Pre Block madness. This is the biggest shakeup in 'Block' history, for the first time there will be no house plans for contestants to work off – this is going to be an insane series. This year, Blockheads must not only renovate the mammoth project, they’ll also have to design the layout and I think this may be why the tension is at an all time high.
This week on TV Reload I have Amazon Prime Video’s Gavin Rubinstein who you can catch on the new series Luxe Listings Sydney… This new series was made by Eureka Production for Amazon and Gavin is fast becoming one of Australia’s favourite reality TV stars. The show is set amongst the Iconic beaches of Sydney with breathtaking properties and tackles one of the most cutthroat real estate markets in the world. For the first time ever in Australia we see these multi-million dollar homes being bought and sold by trio of unlikely reality TV stars who are Australia’s agents. They will stop at nothing to deliver results for their demanding clientele, while balancing their hectic personal lives and careers. It is a brilliant show and I am sure you will get something out of this chat with Gavin as he was really generous with his thoughts on the show. Luxe Listings Sydney reinvents reality TV in my mind, and we will discuss why that is, plus we will chat about how Gavin got involved, the first failed attempt to get him on television to the remarkable success of this new series. He is coming to us from the set of series 2 and we are super lucky to have him on tv reload today Series one is available on Amazon Prime Video Australia and all 6 episodes can be binge watched so get on that if you haven’t already…
This week I have Network Ten’s The Bachelor, Jimmy Nicholson on the show. He is a breathe of fresh air and I am sure you will love him. Channel Ten launched the new series last Wednesday and it certainly feels like classic 'Bachie' series but with a real sense of romance and genuine connections.
We will find out how he became the Bachelor and what happens behind the scenes. Plus I will find out what Jimmy's side hustle is when he is not flying…. He really is from another world.
The Bachelor is on channel Ten Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7:30 (AEST) and you can catch up on previous episodes on 10 play on demand.
This week I have Caitlin Shea who is the executive producer of ABC’s Australian Story. It is hard to believe but Caitlin has been on the show for 25 years and is currently turning in some of the series best work to-date. If you have never seen this series then I am jealous as you have some serious binge watching to catch up on. From missing person to feel good stories - the amount of research that has gone into this show is remarkable. Caitlin 100 percent puts the "real" back into reality television. Australian Story is an award-winning documentary series with no narrator and no agendas — just authentic stories told entirely in people's own words. Each week Australia has been taking 30 minutes to immerse themselves in the life of an extraordinary Australian. They're sometimes high profile, sometimes controversial, but always compelling. It’s television guaranteed to make you think and feel. New episodes are available every Monday at 8pm (AEST) on ABC TV.
Fenton Bailey & Randy Barbato are the founders of 'World Wonder'. Both of these men are just as inspiring as you could have ever imagined. I personally have followed their work for years, they are award winning! They are Emmy winners who most would know are behind the global phenomenon RuPaul's drag race….. but at their core they are storytellers who have been giving voices to those who need a bigger platform who deserve a bigger platform! Their documentary film work includes Carrie Fishers 'Wishful Drinking', 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye', 'Monica in Black and White, Gender',''Revolution with Katie Couric and The Last Beekeeper'….. They have a mission to tell the truth, and to be honest. i’s simply unbelievable work…. This week I will focus on their new series 'Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes' which debuts on Binge here in Australia and HBO internationally on July 13th. This documentary follows the Harvey Weinstein investigation and explores the systems protecting powerful men accused of awful crimes, with never-before-seen footage from this culture-shaking story. Book this into your calendar because the series is groundbreaking and it will blow your mind in ways you won’t expect. I raise a content warning: There are General discussions of violence against minorities. Specific discussions of assault and rape my upset some listeners. If you are triggered by some of this content please contact Beyond Blue who provides information and support to help everyone in Australia.
This is a really fun chat with Marley, he is our 2021 winner of Big Brother. I got to spend the morning with him and he was beyond delightful. So calm, so cool and far more honest than you would expect. I ask him about the new house being built for the next season. We discuss his interesting relationship dynamics with fellow contestants like Ari and Daniel and I ask him about his thoughts on the manipulation of the game, which kept in evicted housemates and saw one through to the very end, We also talk about the challenges and if they need to be more mindful and less physical…. There is something in this chat for everyone but there are some really important life lessons that extend out of Big Brother and into our world, I really enjoyed this chat and hope you do too.
Today’s guest is Melissa Maclean, the executive producer of Travel Guides Australia on Channel Nine. Melissa is a woman who knows her stuff. With a passion for storytelling and a wealth of experience on shows like Gogglebox and Common Sense. Todays guest knows how to work with cast and crew on shows that gives a voice to the everyday person.
We talk about casting, producing, how covid has impacted production and we also talk about why she switched from her love of documentary film making for factual and reality TV.
There are some fun stories along the way with her highs and lows but let's face it Travel Guides Australia is a hit. And people are tuning in - in droves.
Today’s guest is Vanessa Gazy! Series creator, executive producer and writer of the new series Eden. Vanessa might have started with some humble beginnings in Canberra but dreaming of writing and storytelling has led her to the front line, as one of Australia’s brightest and smartest players in Television. With a journalistic mind at times and a thirst for the human condition - on this podcast we get to discuss women in the industry, Vanessa's upcoming work but also we talk a lot about her work on Eden. I am so inspired by Vanessa and I am sure you will be too. She is bright, empathetic and is bringing you original content that will expand the way in which you watch TV/cinema.
Todays guest is smoking hot, I have the talented actor Joel Jackson. You may have heard me swooning over him a few weeks back after attending a screening of the new series Ms Fishers Modern Murder Mystery... which launches on Acorn TV on the 7th of June… he plays Mrs Fishers partner in more ways than one but today he talks about his career and how he carved an authentic back catalogue of characters Which has included award winning turns in Deadline Gallipoli and Not The Boy Next Door. The later having Joel play the iconic Peter Allen. He studied at Nida and now is a well sort after actor. Joel’s upbringing is quite fascinating when you hear about his origins for equality in storytelling. I know you will love this chat - as he is very charming and intelligent.
This weeks guest is a cracker, I have Aaron Saidman. He is is an American creator-developer, documentary filmmaker and television producer. He is known for a number of non-fiction television series and documentary feature films. You would have seen a fair chunk of his work over the years, l very much remembered his work on the Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath series, which was brilliant. A fair few of you would know Saidman for his work on The Paris Hilton Documentary which made a lot of noise in the media last year. This chat was arranged by Binge and HBO Max to support Selena + Chef which is a new cooking show on their network which has just launched series 2. It is a really fun show with Selena Gomez as the host and for you fellow Australian Curtis Stone is on episode one and he is really awesome on that episode.
Todays episode is a BONUS mid week special to coincide with the launch of Mr Inbetween series 3. Which premieres on May 26th at 8:30 on Foxtel. The final series of one Australia’s most original characters - Ray Shoesmith. He is a hit man but the twist really lies in the characters likability. I saw the characters first incarnation as a short film called The Magician at the St Kilda Film Festival in 2004. Which was nearly 20 years ago. The story resonated with Nash Edgerton who is one of Australia’s best storytellers. Nash believed in this story from the ground floor and since then - we have seen a feature film and then this widely successful current FX series which is in its third - but sadly final series. The show is quite violent but the heart and soul in this story is like nothing you have ever seen before. I have Scott Ryan, writer, creator and star of the Mr Inbetween. We discuss the origins of Mr In-between, violence in cinema, why the show is coming to an end and he reveals if he is sad about the final chapter of this iconic character. I absolutely loved this chat and I hope you do too.
ALISTAIR MCKINNON is the Matchbox Productions Managing Director. He has a very interesting story which led him to some great experience at ABC Australia and now he is at the helm of Matchbox. From a young boy in regional Victoria to one of the countries most powerful content creators. We talk about everything from 'Stateless' with Cate Blanchett, the upcoming series, 'Things I know to be true,' with Nicole Kidman and move onto Housewives of Melbourne, where we discuss who of the housewives could be on Celebrity Gogglebox.
On todays episode I am chatting with Angourie Rice an Australian Actress who is know for her rolls in, 'The Nice Guys', With Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling, 'Spiderman' with Tom Holland but at the moment - Angourie is playing Kate Winslet's Daughter in 'Mare of Easttown.' This show is currently available on HBO MAX and if you are in Australia… it is on Binge. The show centres around a detective in a small Pennsylvania town investigating a local murder while trying to keep her life from falling apart. I don’t want to say more than that because it is subtle and compelling without me talking storylines. Trust me. The characters are so good I can even tolorate them eating while talking - which is my number pet hate. Angourie is from Melbourne Australian and I caught up with her last week. Yes you will see her in the next Spiderman film and yes I will ask her about that, but I will mainly talk Easttown with no spoilers and you will probably fall in love with her - as I did.
On todays episode I will be chatting with Brian Walsh, the Executive Director at Foxtel. Brian Walsh was part of the management team that launched Foxtel and through the years he has overseen acquisitions and the launch of entertainment channels. He is an amazing Executive Director of Australian Television. With an amazing body of work. Foxtel has been a huge player in Australian television industry - whether you have watched Game of Thrown’s, Big Little Lies, Worldwide Award shows or just a 'little part of the business,' their sport? At some point in your life you would have had a subscription to one of the most premium services available in this country. Enjoy the bombshell Dropped about THE FUTURE of Gogglebox and plenty more TV Reload exclusives
On todays episode I will be chatting with Co CEO’s at Eureka Production. These guys have taken their incredible knowledge producing shows on Channel’s Nine, Ten, Seven, SBS and Foxtel! The unstoppable duo are now taking on the world. In 2016 both Chris Culvenor and Paul Franklin co-founded Eureka and with their position as Co CEO they have lead the company to be a world leader in unscripted. To date, Eureka Productions has launched over 24 series in the United States, Canada and Australia and in 12 months, the company produced countless hours of programming. This year alone, we have seen shows like Holey Moley on Channel Seven and Amazing Race on Network Ten. They really have make a big splash in the industry and there is no signs of them slowing down.
This week go behind the scenes of the new Channel Seven series of Big Brother with the one and only Sonia Kruger! There will be no spoilers and this is an opportunity for you to hear why this years Big Brother is the best series yet!
The new series is challenge based format but the producers at Endemol Shine have listened to criticism and they have cast intelligent, highly engaging, diverse and accomplished housemates… This year we will get to see more of them and I promise you - there is more visibility in getting to know each contestant. At times, I felt like I could be watching the original and even better it felt like this Big Brother 2021 is respectful to the overall Big Brother brand - which is brilliant considering it is the 20th anniversary of the show. Sonia absolutely spills the tea on so many Big Brother secrets and it is seriously an amazing chat.
This week’s podcast I have experienced producer Kirk Docker who has worked on 'You Cant Ask That' right from the conception…. Can you believe it’s up to series 6…. Unbelievable ! It is one of my favourite shows on the ABC and it’s BASIC premise of asking simple but sometimes confronting questions to a collected audience who all share the same lived experience - IS GENIUS! The show is back on Monday the 28th of APRIL - so stick that in your TV guide because you won’t want to miss some of the fascinating topics which will leave you thinking - you can’t ask that! Yes, I was on an episode of 'You Cant Ask That,' a few years ago but unlike other episodes of this podcast I won’t get bogged down in that as there are too many other elements to unpack! GET SET - HAVE A COFFEE - AS KIRK DOCKER REVEALS HOW THIS SHOW GETS MADE!
On this episode I have someone very special. He was the other Executive Producer on my series of Big Brother in 2012 - Yep, It is Chris Blackburn. The very accomplished series producer. We do discuss a lot of Big Brother on the podcast and I try not to be too introspective about that ,but to be fair Chris worked on Big Brother extensively and to not discuss his knowledge on the casting process and to not unearth some of the stories from behind the scenes would have been a huge mistake. Chris has decades of experience and that includes reality shows like Beauty and the Geek, My Kitchen Rules and Temptation Island - which I believe was the first reality show in Australia, even before Big Brother. I could name so much more but I think we need to get into the episode because it is a long one. This extended chat is worth every second because Chris is warm, funny and brutally honest - my head is still spinning from what he really thought of the former hots of Big Brother and also fascinated with his opinions on cancel culture, amongst other things.
On this episode I have Samantha Strauss, who is a writer and Executive Producer of some of Australia’s most compelling scripted drama. Sam has just finished working with Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy on the up coming TV series Nine Perfect Strangers - which is the next Liane Moriarty book being adapted to the small screen. I mean imagine working with Nicole but also writing alongside David E Kelly with source material from an author like Moriarty. Today we are focusing on 'The End' which is currently on Foxtel and if you haven’t had a chance to see it - this show is a comedy drama that handles death in a way we have never really seen before. It sounds bleak but I am telling you it is simply some of the most original content that I have ever seen and deserves you as the audience to take a look. It stars Frances O'Conner, Noni Hazelhurst and British actress Harriet Walter. Set on the Gold Coast… A little CONTENT WARNING: This podcast does mention some themes and may be triggering for some listeners. If you need urgent help, please contact Lifeline 13 11 14 or head to the website www.lifeline.org.au
On this episode I have Holly Bryar! A casting specialist who you might meet in the casting process when applying for a role on Television. Chances are if you have applied for reality TV you’ve probably had a initial zoom chat with Holly as she casts people right across all major television networks. She has successfully cast on shows like Amazing Race, MAFS, House Rules just to name a few. Holly has a degree TV Production and understands being both in front and behind the camera. This gives her the perfect insights into finding the right cast for the shows she has been hired to work on. Holly works across Reality TV and TVC’s and knows exactly what the producers are looking for. Getting hired across all the biggest shows in Television might sound like hard work but with Holly’s disarming personality - she can gather all the right information to move you up and down the ladder in the selection process. With more people wanting to be on television than ever before it is fascinating to know some of the do’s and don'ts when applying for up coming programs and has a masterclass in the works which todays episode is really just teaser for.
On this episode I have Brett Bowman who is a Story Producer on Reality TV shows made here in Australia and in the USA. He has worked across some of the biggest shows we have ever seen on Australian screens. Including The Block, Big Brother, Love Island and I am a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. Just to name a few. His job is to collaborate with Executive producers and Editors and find the stories that are the most interesting that will end up on your TV screen He has some of the best storytelling and script writing skills in the business which make producers, tv networks and production studios line up to work with him. HE KNOWS MORE ABOUT THE REALITY STARS ON HIS SHOWS THAN THEY KNOW ABOUT THEMSELVES - WHICH IS KINDA CREEPY BUT ALSO FASCINATING TO UNPACK.
Matt Shirvington’s athletic career made him a household name when he competed for the first time at the Kuala Lumpur Olympics in 1998. Shirvington is the second fastest Australian Sprinter of all-time and just as quickly he has established himself as a TV Presenter. This year he has found himself as the man of the moment at Channel Seven. Hosting Holey Moley and now Ultimate Tag! There is something authentic and natural about his presenting style and it is no wonder Australia loves seeing him on their TV screens
I was lucky enough to be able to bring you a special guest in Andy Lee this episode. You would normally find him alongside Hamish Blake, however today we are talking to Andy flying solo. Why? Because he is out on his own hosting the newest game show, The Cube. Wednesday at 7:30pm On Channel Ten. Andy Lee has been a household name as long as I have been an adult, He has hosted radio shows, been on countless television programs and in this new venture you will see a new side to the popular comedian that will no doubt make you fall in love with him all over again. Network Ten has brought us this new game show from the UK but has given the format an Australian make over: Andy Lee hosting is a part of that strategy in make this program our own. I think works really well. With nail biting games and an opportunities for the everyday Australian to win up to a quarter of a million dollars, it is sure to become a staple amongst all Australians looking for some good old fashion entertainment. I think maybe we all feel Andy is our own personal best friend and that’s why it’s so easy to talk to the Aussie legend.
On this episode I have Jamie Wiggins. Who is a Television Editor at the top of their game. Specialises in Reality TV. He has worked across some of the biggest shows we have ever seen on Australian screens He job is to collaborate with Executive producers and story producers to make us, as the audience fall in love with heroes, secretly like the villains but overall to entertain. I am so excited to talk about Reality TV editing because it is such a complicated job which often is thankless or under appreciated but also the editor often falls victim of being blamed by the former reality tv stars when they are not happy with the way they have been portrayed. Jamie has worked with the greats across most production studios but he is currently full time at Eureka - which produced Honey Moley for Channel Seven and Amazing Race for Channel Ten but also we will soon see see a Sydney version of Selling sunsets for Amazon. This guy is also a bit of legend amongst the current creators of television.
Ian 'Dicko' Dickson, as we came to know him, landed in Australia with long hair, an English accent and more than a few opinions. However, with a fabulous sense of humour and oodles of charisma his positives outweighed any negatives. He was the so-called 'nasty judge' on Australian Idol but very quickly resonated so deeply with his audience and he quickly became one of the most sort after television personalities over the last 20 years. It is probably a good point to mention my admiration for this man, as I certainly appreciate his raw, unfiltered points of view. Especially in a world where people don’t often tell you their truth. Today we will talk about Holey Moley and why he said yes to dressing as a pirate for the newest show on Channel Seven. We also have an honest conversation about television. Plus I will find out if Channel Seven has actually asked him to return to the upcoming reboot of Australian Idol in 2022!
In this episode, Tim Clucas unpacks the last 40 years of Australian television. He discusses where we've been, whats happening now and where we are going! Some of Tim Clucas' career highlights include his role as the creator of the 90’s TV series Sex. In this series he challenged Aussie audiences with taboo topics and gave us the answers to questions we felt too embarrassed to ask. Feeling confident about 'Sex' led to his show called Money ... Another hugely successful series, which gave millions of Australians control and confidence over their finances in a world where ignorance was preyed upon by the powerful and corrupt. It would be hard not to talk about what he did next! In 2001 he set about making TV for a new century. Bringing Big Brother to Australia for Channel 10 was groundbreaking TV. This paved the way for unscripted drama that would change the face of TV forever. Dancing in some pretty impressive circles, Tim allowed us to feel apart of the programs he made and reinventing ways in which Australia could feel enriched by the topics he investigated.
Australia fell in love with Beau Ryan throughout his sporting career. However, there was always more to this Aussie legend than being just a professional rugby league footballer. His personality and likability led him to a fantastic run with The footy Show proving his worth in front of the camera and making him one of the countries most likeable TV personalities. He is somewhat of a blokes bloke and he certainly has a fan base with the ladies but with two adoring kids and gorgeous wife - its fair to say he is living the Aussie dream. Amazing Race is the perfect gig for Beau Ryan and we are going to find out why this years amazing race is winning in the rating and proving its place in the TV guides AS must watch viewing!
CEO and MD at ITV Studios David Mott shares his wisdom and knowledge Today on the podcast, I have a pretty big deal. That's my words and not his. A man man who has well and truely made his mark on Australian Television with an eye for detail, partnerships and true friendships. He has worked at Channel Seven, Channel Nine and Network Ten. Famously stopping along the way as Head of Programming, then as Chief Programming Officer at Network 10… he has danced between Networks and Productions Studios for as long as I have been alive. We first met this young woman less than two years ago when she turned up on The Bachelor - Vying for the heart of scientist Matthew Agnew but then famously coming second….and while she now is the most famous 'Bachie' girls in history - her journey on television wasn’t always rosey. Polarising the audiences during her time on the popular dating show for Channel 10 - it would seem the tides are certainly changing for this young women, as she takes on the haters and proved to her followers that speaking your truth is more than an Oprah Winfrey special. Abbie's path to glory has been faster than concord, as frenemies to friends, loathers to loves dialled 1995 1010…. For her win on the celebrated show

Australian audiences have either grown-up watching him or grown to love him clocking more hours on television than skippy the kangaroo He has brought so much joy to us all…. When we first met this young man, he was introduced to us as an original Googlebox Australia cast member, quickly become a household favourite. It was his quick wit and friendship with best mate Symon Lovett that made him one of the most relatable television stars over the last 6 years.
You can’t help but really listen to him when he talks and you're always waiting to hear what he will say next. The boys certainly have a love of sport and hopefully we will see him and Symon bringing their talents together again in the form of a footy sow on Foxtel
This Aussie legend is one of the most famous names in Aussie Sport. While he has been off the field for nearly 30 years, he made such a big impact playing for Hawthorn that he is still household name all these years later
From retiring in 1991 Dipper has commented on sport and is still massively sort after to join footy shows and to share his life story. There is way more to this man than just his footy - he a family man and probably with a passion for life and is is now a grandfather!
In this episode we will talk news headlines, his contribution to I’m a Celebrity and even a shock revelation about his desire to head back into the Jungle.
Ben Ulm. Ben is the Head of Factual & Reality at ITV Studios!

Australia fell in love with Paulini during her time on Australian Idol and over the years we have never let her forget some of those iconic hits and certainly not that gold dress,….
From there, this talented Aussie took on the Australian music charts and had huge success collaborating with a mix of her former Australian Idol alums, with the band Young Divas! Not stopping there, Paulini wowed the country as Rachel Marron in the stage production of The Bodyguard. And I tell you what, there is a a sexy, cool vibe with todays guest. She possesses intelligence that goes beyond her years. She wears her heart on her sleeve and was a constant shoulder to lean on to her campmates……
Australia fell in love with Symon during his time on Gogglebox, proving that Bert and Ernie had found new life in Adam & Symon. Their undeniable 'mateship' and ability to call it like it is has won over Australian audiences for up to 5 years - shocking us all when they finished their time on the Logie award winning program Gogglebox Australia. The boys certainly have a thirst for life and shared love of footy, which for most blokes in this country is like peas and carrots or should I say a four-n-twenty pie with tomato sauce….. but right now Symon, without his mate Adam, is set to answer all the questions you want to know from his time in the jungle
Did he really want to do I'm A Celeb?
Did he get the roughest reception?
Who would he recommend next from Gogglebox?
Who was wrong regarding Rice-gate in the Jungle?

You might know this outspoken and fearless lady from her time on The Real Housewives of Melbourne. You probably saw her on Hell's Kitchen! However, you and her campmates will never forget Pettifleur’s thirst for life, competitive nature and ability to give you her opinion - weather you asked for it or not! I was lucky enough to have this chat with Pettifleur today as she faced the Australian media. Hopefully you will walk away with some tea spilt on The Real Housewives, some insights into the jungle & your heart full from a Mum who loves her boys as she continues to prove we can do anything if we try…

Jack Vidgen's mum cried when she heard Jacks acknowledgement of her over the years. Australia first fell in love with Jack in 2011, when he won Australia's Got Talent at just 14 years of age. After the chart topping hits that followed, the pressure of his new found fame saw Jack escape to Los Angeles, before returning to Australia to live life as a normal teenager, away from the entertainment industry. In 2019 Jack found the courage to return to the stage as a part of the 2019 season of The Voice Australia. Jack This was a return to form for Jack and Australia's desire to see more of Jack has grown - now seeing him win over more audiences with his big heart and maturity - his time in the jungle was highly celebrated. I got to ask Jack lots of the questions that you wanted to know the answers to from his time in the Jungle... and he is pretty candid with his responses.
