On this weeks Eat Your Oranges Podcast, we invite our good friend J-Evans, Co-Owner of the well established record label from Liverpool, Surge Recordings.
Over the last 12 months Surge have been dominating the scene with some huge releases from Acid Kids , Lucio Agustin & Parsec . They also brought us a a huge VA release with some well known artists such as Artmann, Badeo & Leo Christopher! On top of all that they have been running a huge mix series, where the one and only De La Swing (Elrow Records Owner) & HedzUp Pariz label owner Wlad appearing on it.
In this podcast we are going to be delving into the roots of how surge started & how it grew and became such a dominated label in just 12 months, while also getting an insight to how J-Evans has constantly pushed the brand to bring better, more established artists while keeping a strong underground feel towards the brand. We will also be talking about how COVID-19 has effect Jay & his brand, and what he sees happening post covid for surge.

This Thursday we welcome Co-Founder & resident of Zeca Records, Adam Bacon, for a special Eat Your Oranges Podcast.
Even though Zeca is a different genre to Orange (techno), I have a strong feeling Adam will provide lots of value for upcoming label owners, promoters, producers & DJs as we talk all about his challenges growing the brand, booking/signing the right artists & trying to navigate a tricky industry with no musical background or education.
Zeca Records has been smashing to techno scene in Manchester for the last 12 months, signing artists such as I AM BAM, Mark Greene, Sara Landry & Sisko Electrofanatik.
Adam has recently signed his debut EP on David Temessi’s DSR Digital as well as signing 2 singles to Finder & Kaligo!
