Jesus is really cool! We can be like Him by accepting our own imperfect actions. Jesus wants us to be with Him because He loves us, so we must accept His sacrifice. We can become closer to Him by loving other people. It's that simple.

Mary is really cool! We can be like Mary by understanding that our Heavenly parents see themselves in US, and WILL give us the opportunities to accomplish that which is most precious to them and will best be accomplished through us.

Angels are really cool! We can be like them by casting aside regret and doubt and revenge. We must stand up for love and kindness and hope and mercy. We must be willing to risk everything.

Shepherds are really cool! We can be like shepherds by running to the moment we receive the call to our Savior. I know that I can do this, because I like to flock to Jesus (get it cuz sheep lol).

Finding YOUR nevertheless is an important part in self-discovery and the building of hope and purpose
This was the lesson topic from a couple weeks ago in Come Follow Me, and these are just some things that I was prompted to share. This is really vulnerable so I hope you guys can get something out of it :)
Rainbows are really cool, and so are the covenants that we make with our Heavenly Father.
Join me and my friend Willard Cook as we discuss a favorite conference talk and what it means to be sanctified with the Priesthood, what it means to be ready for our responsibilities, and what it means to be temple worthy.
God enabled a way for Adam and Eve to choose mortality. Regardless of the outlined consequences, Eve decided (for herself) that having a family, being forgiven, and being with Heavenly Father again in eternity was worth the challenge to make it through a painful, horrible, and agonizing mortal life. And we still feel joy everyday in knowing that we have a God who is on our side and who made a way for us to feel hope: through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Our Heavenly Parents love us and want to see us in Celestial Glory. Our Father and Mother in heaven want us to succeed and follow the example that they set: which is also outlined in The Family: A Proclamation to the World. When we strive to become like Jesus Christ, we can become Gods in eternal life.
Handel's Messiah is a really long oratorio that invites the rejoicing of the birth of Jesus Christ. Remember to LOVE SHARE AND INVITE this holiday season so that the spirit can best preach (not you). Share your testimony and your conviction to best invite people to invite the spirit. Inviting people to Come to Christ is the best thing that anyone can do.
Just kidding! This is not some cure all episode, but I do have a little process that you can use to increase personal revelation.
The spirit will find those who are ready for it; the spirit finds you before you find it, but you must be ready to receive it first.

Happy Thanksgiving! Today, I share some of my favorite "Thanksgiving" scriptures and give a challenge: listen to worship/thanksgiving music and make a list of 21 things YOU are grateful for. Be grateful for the good things because God is good.
The Pocatello, ID Temple was dedicated on November 7, 2021. Sorry I sound so awkward and choppy, but I was trying to just read what I wrote in the moment that day in Seminary :) I encourage you guys to find those moments that speak to you and write down what you saw, felt, liked, and learned.
Join me and my friend Qai Gerber as we discuss our shortcomings and insecurities and how we use Christ to fill in our infirmities. Christ will be there for when we want to move on and be better. Christ is willing to take the fall for us as long as we are willing to get up again. We have to be willing to put in effort in our shortcomings so that they can eventually become our strengths. Through Christ, our weakness will become strong when we want to become strong; but it only happens when we give it all to Him.
Martin Luther King Jr. wrote a letter from Birmingham jail addressing critics of his actions. He wrote about how people who want to change things for good need to do something about it. King compared extremism to the love that Jesus expressed when He was on the earth. However, Jesus was tradition; the shepherd, the lamb of God, the advocate. He was, and is, here to save us. He was not here to force us to love, He was here to show us what love feels like.
Bonnie H Cordon, Young Women General Pres, gave a talk during the October 2021 Saturday Morning Session called Come Unto Christ and Don't Come Alone. Our identities and purposes are linked through Christ because we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father. Be like little children and be over-enthusiastic about our purpose. Acknowledge your weaknesses, come to know Christ, and therefore know yourself even better.
Brad R. Wilcox's talk from the Saturday Evening Session of General Conference gave great insight on the standard for "Christlikeness", which is: risk it all with Christ. Put all of the cards on the table and just do your best. If we do all that we can do, Christ will accept it and deem us as worthy of His greatest blessings.
Elder Anthony D. Perkins of the Seventy shared four principles of hope. How do we do it; how do we deal with life? WITH HOPE IN JESUS CHRIST!
Join me in Refresh-tober in refreshing ourselves in some great Conference talks! Camille N. Johnson shares that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of OUR story. When we let God prevail and take the wheel when we don't know what's coming our way - we will be lead to a new, better destination.
Callings are responsibilities called by authority in the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. Through personal revelation, trusting in God, and exhibiting the qualities of Christ, we can know what to say and do to best serve in our callings.
We can use our resources, which Christ has given us, to build our fortifications. We can fortify our weak places, our faith, our testimonies, and our families to become strong against our greatest threat: temptations of the Devil.
EVERYONE has bad days. And good days! Jesus had good days and bad days too. He was a human too. He suffered mortal, human ridicule; he was bullied for being himself. Just like Jesus, we can move past the human trait of having a bad day. With Jesus, we can exercise our agency and choose to show Christ-like love.
Doctrine and Covenants 93 introduces the growth and development needed to receive a fullness of the gospel. Grace for grace is Christ's way to take one step of the Gospel at a time. However, the ladder of the gospel doesn't end - it is eternal.
W.W.Phelps was a servant of Joseph Smith Jr. who was excommunicated from the church. Even though Brother Phelps made a huge mistake, Joseph Smith Jr and the church received W.W.Phelps in full fellowship again. By coming unto Christ, we too can forgive others and be forgiven.
The Word of Wisdom is between you, the spirit, and your Heavenly Father. What you put into your body fuels the vessel that can best inhabit the spirit and help you serve others the best way you can.
This episode is about self-worth and how we must first love ourselves the way Christ does before we can truly serve others.
