In part II, we breakdown both of our experiences and interestingly I graduated 10yrs ago and we still share the same struggles. The scholarships are great but you're still trying to fit in a world not meant for you to be apart. You had to do everything right as the scholarship kid and meanwhile, other students just had to be born and they were already in. I think race plays a factor and I feel we've forgotten that we are all human. It's tough coming from the hood and now you're in this expensive school out in New England.
I got to interview my brother and chop it up on his weight loss journey, surviving the South Bronx, while walking on the sidewalks. His baseball career and having to grow up faster than others had to, in order to raise his younger sister. Grad school, music, his love life, top R&B favorite artist and we go to break down his new project Melrose Condo. Â

The important thing in life is to hold yourself accountable for your mistakes, learn and grow from them. His business booming and heâs doing so much good in his community. Young people please know if you do the crime, you must pay the time but itâs wack at the expense of someone snitching on you. Lesson learned and now the young CEO is moving forward with his life.
The new trend right now is children under 18, doing the killing or being killed. Broken homes with no love in them have these kids going outside to take a life or have their life taken. We dress our kids in designer to only watch them in a suit. A suit in their casket or a jumpsuit issued by the state. They don't want loved productive children going out into the world and becoming something of themselves. The want self destructive and angry children to ruin their lives and fatten their pockets by becoming felons.
Aaron Boone was a bum as a player and is even worse, as a manager. Cole and Gallo are trash and need to go back to the red state of Texas. When Big George was alive there were expectations and when he was in the stadium you won. He put fear into players hearts and everyone knew what it was and what he wanted was to win. Cole pitches like a good travel ball pitchers and then drops the ball in the finals. Top heavy lineup was awful. Should of let Gardner lead off. Therapy is essential to overcoming those demons youâre fighting. Drugs are a temporary fix and itâs not sustainable in the long run. More pain can equal to harder drugs. Iâm tired of seeing people of color walk around feeling empty and broken. Weâre alive my people we have so much to live for. If I help a person and a day for the rest of my life. Iâll leave this earth having helped thousands of people live whole and happy. Find positive outlets, therapy, counseling, support groups or anything you feel uplifts you spiritually, mentally and physically Â

A mess in your room can equal to a mess in your life. The clutter all around your room can be the same clutter that you're experiencing internally. You feel good when you clean the house. The smell and the fragrances from the cleaning supplies and the candles bring a new feel to the house. Your music is on and all of a sudden you feel lighter, like you've gained clarity, you sleep better and coming home feels good because you're organized. Your room may reflect how you are feeling at the moment.
We survived living in our toxic ass parents house. For years you were told that you were nothing and you made it. Live for your because our parents are damaged and only did their best with what they had and what they knew. Other family members and peers enabled their poor behaviors and meanwhile we suffered and had to pick ourselves up. Now weâre in our 20âs and are emotionally unavailable hmmmm, I wonder where we got that from. You canât give what you never got.
Coach Gawuala is going beyond football with his players out in East New York. He's amazing and he is changing lives through the game of football. High energy guy and moved me, while watching his debut docuseries "We are the Brooklyn Saints" on Netflix. He brought me to tears and I had to connect with this amazing man and coach. Netflix cleared the interview and he we are today with an amazing interview with Coach Gawuala. It's bigger than football for him and it is bigger than baseball for me. Two different sports but same mission, for the children to enjoy themselves, learn and grow.

Two childhood friends catching up. We broke down his entire career till present day. He's currently in the Major Leagues for  pitching the Seattle Mariners. What a journey to the pros from little league in Queens, travel ball in Long Island, his high school career at The Gunnery, turned things around at Boston College. Got more serious about his grades, as baseball was almost taken away from him. Academic success translated to him having success on the field and in the weight room. Became a rising star and dominated the Cape Cod league helping his draft stock. Got a big win in the college regionals and during the same time period drafted in the firs round by the Mets. Minor league pitcher of the year and his dreams are coming true but then he was treated to the Mariners. He felt it was meant to be and one of the best things that could of happened to him. Failing out of grad school was the best thing that ever happened to me. It sucked but I grew so much because of that experience. I was able to go to D.C to complete an internship in 2016. It 2017, I coached baseball and won coach of the year. Spent the summer in the Hamptons. In 2018, I signed my first professional contract to play baseball overseas in Austria. I won a gold glove at first base and won the silver slugger for first basemens. In 2019, back to Austria and we won their first championship in 20yrs and I won another silver slugger batting over .400, again. 2020 was crazy but I grow my youtube channel, got my first apartment, got my first salary job and had my first son. Talk about using failure as fuel.

Amaurys builds up his community through clothing that embodies who we are in the Bronx. He believes in OWNERSHIP and this is how we will get the Bronx, to what we envision it being. He embraces struggle and as he said âHe wants all the smokeâ coming from The Bronx we are built differently and built to last. We can overcome anything and everything put in front of us. Shoutout to Bronx Community College (BCC) for helping mi hermano see the light and really take design class more seriously. In episode 61, we talk about business/personal credit, education, entrepreneurship, uplifting the youth, collabing more and hating way less. Lastly, how he saved his shop during Covid-19 and kept his dream alive.
Everyone needs help when it comes to housing and nutrition. Â Let's set the record straight the majority of the people on public assistance are white people, seeing how they are the majority of the population. Everyone looks down on Blacks and Latinos but it's not just us, it's everybody getting over on the system. My issue with public assistance is when people exploit it and use it to jog in place. Literally, striding to do the bare minimum in life just to keep their benefits and be taken care of. Will and able people choosing sit on their behinds, is something that I will never get behind nor support. Especially, when as a community us black could be doing even better.
How you see yourself, is what you will be. No dreams nor aspirations than your life will be bland just how you wanted it. You see negative, speak negatively and the outcome you see is an extremely negative life where you feel the world is against and things never go your way. That is not where your reality nor shortcomings but simply your mentality on life. Â Lean towards seeing yourself in a positive light, speaking positively and your outcome will be a more positive/fulfilling life

Financial life, Love life, Family life. You can no longer occupy any space thatâs not allowing you to grow and prosper.
Weâre all battling some form of generational curse from education, single parent homes, lack of love and hugs and financial struggles. These are some of the things that involve us making a conscious decision to be better than the generation before and to set up the generation after us to be better then we were. This is not an easy conversation to have without feeling like weâre blaming, shaming or pointing fingers at the generations before us. Today, we take a stance to make and live with our own decisions and not those of which, the generations before us made. Weâre actively breaking these generational curses by seeking better for ourselves and our babies.
Tired of people eating off my plate and hiding theirs. Same people who I let eat in abundance off of me, will let me starve. Learn to be more selective who you give your love, energy and resources. People take everything that you give and take everything that they can possibly take from you. Call you to save the world for them but are never truly there for you. Somehow when they need a favor or need something from you their phone works and now you exist.
Many people donât have people checking in on them and find themselves alone. I couldnât imagine that feeling especially during the middle of a pandemic where there is so much uncertainty. Thereâs a lot I want to talk about but first I have to check in with my people and let them know that I hope theyâre okay. Shit is real out here and even realer for others.
Life gets crazy and it is always important to circle back and check in ourselves. Many of us make it a priority to call our friends and family, when we havenât heard from them in a while. Well, keep that same energy when it comes to checking in on yourself. How we speak to ourselves many times can determine the outcome of our circumstances. Take care of yourself and value your well being.
My life matters, my brothers and sisters lives matter, my grandmother and my mothers lives matter. Everyone I love that is of color, their life matters. When you dehumanize someone you strip them of their value and deem them worthless. White people have broken down the black man till he was nothing and furthermore, made him believe that his life did not matter. This is how they sleep at night with all those murders on their conscience. That âboyâ I killed today no one is even going to miss him because he wasnât shit. Modern day version of this is âHe was a criminalâ so he deserved to die and it's unfortunate but the world is safer now. Now, that theyâve gotten their head start in life and weâre not even close to catching up but are in the same rooms as them. It goes back to well, youâre inferior to me and you donât belong in the same room as me. Black people make white people uncomfortable and itâs obvious. Theyâre such an insecure group of people that get startled by a little bit of black success.
Blacks killing, Blacks Loyalty to the streets that will never love you. Just trying to be a kid and you lose your life Dudes is afraid to take a loss, so they shoot. Just shoot the fair one. We're all sick and tired of being sick and tired. The hood needs to tighten up and take care of their own.
Letâs acknowledge that something is wrong in America and letâs talk the problem head on. Racism is wrong. Killing unarmed black people is wrong Red lining is wrong. Certain things are non negotiable. White people donât and will never understand that they donât have to be exceptional to make it in life. They just have to be white and breathe. We black people have to work ten times as hard just get the same opportunity in life.
It's disgusting to use "All lives matters" as a comeback when someone say's to you that BLACK LIVES MATTER. People FORGET that we're all human and all bleed the same. Most white people were raised to think that black people are beneath them. It saddens me that in 2020, we are still fighting the good fight for equality. Take race out of the equation and put your loved one in. Does he or she deserve to live in fear everyday of their lives? EVERY FUCKIN DAY?
Boarding school was a huge blessing in my life but it was not necessarily the most welcoming place in the beginning. I had to find where I fit in and how to still be myself. The students who grew up in rich towns and only hung out with rich kids were the worst to be around. Some made me really uncomfortable the questions that they would ask me. I was many of my classmates first black friend. These schools aren't as diverse as they sell themselves to be. Some black students can afford the tuition and most black students can dunk or hit their way into a scholarship. We fight a battle to be accepted in school by our classmates. We fight another battle to be accepted by society off campus. It can be exhausting and can really make a a person feel hopeless.
R.I.P George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, the list goes on.... We kneel to shed light on police brutality, racism and the inequality that us blacks and other minority groups face here in America. The land of the free but for WHO???
How playing baseball taught me the importance of settings goals. Baseball is life and has shown more about life than school and any book could of. Setting goals for me has always been easy. I set my mind on something and I go do it. Iâve learned that thereâs more to it than just that. You have to sacrifice a lot of time, money and energy. How bad do you want it? I like to say âHow far are you willing to go to attain that goal?â
Men go hard to drop dem panties and thatâs it. Whatâs next? Weâre not leading with good intentions going into situationships. If you actually want to date someone be an asset in their lives and not a liability. Hold her accountable for her grades, performance at work and overall make her a better person. Go hard for her mind like you did to drop them panties bruh.
Misery loves company. People will take the weak, the vulnerable and those with no voice, to mold them into a mini version of themselves. A lot of us have broken families due to lack of proper communication and conflict resolution skills. Someone who is scorn is not always seeking peace but much more someone who shares the same story that they do. My dad is my hero and I love him nonetheless but he still could have made better choices. A lot of our trauma that we walk around with everyday was done to us by a âFamily memberâ
Life has a way of humbling us all. That blessing may not fit where you are currently at in life. Life will prep you to be ready for your blessing. We want things when we want them but we may not be ready for what we want requires. You may need to love yourself more, be more responsible, let go of a bad habit. The list goes on and on but for me, I had a great baseball career but college humbled me and life was preparing me for life without my father. In college, I learned to take school more de seriously, that there was life after baseball, how to hustle and budget my money and be a responsible young adult. Post baseball almost broke me but I made it.

We all tend to pray really hard when we are trying attain some new job, new car or new anything. But then after we get what we want, weâve been praying to God so hard that we forget to give thanks. Iâve been guilty of this myself. I got what I needed and just started praying God when I needed something else. From experience, I can tell you thatâs no way to grow your faith and be consistent. Pray during the good and the bad times. Be thankful for everything that you still have a life, a home and food on the table. I ask God to use me to do his work, so I continually spread love and positivity in my community #BeThankful
A child is born pure, innocent and without sin. Being born black you're automatically hated because of your skin color from the day you entered this earth and long after you leave it. Â We die at the hands of other black people but we also do quite often being on the other side of the barrel of a white mans gun or law enforcement or both at the same time. No matter how many movies and shows come out about the social injustices that we face as black people. This shit still happens damn near everyday it seems. We have to make a choice to rise above this fear of death and still seek happiness and live our lives. Despite being a target every time we just simply walk out of our front door.
Chase your dreams  Chase your passions  Your happiness and well being should always come before anything in life.  You can't please everyone in life and it sucks but love yourself before anything and anyone in this world. Trust yourself, follow your gut and always bet on yourself. Find your calling in life and work towards it. You will never make everyone happy in life. Especially, if you are not happy with yourself first.Do what makes you happy.
Ya all been seeing how I move in life. On my own time just doing what I believe. I am a huge believer in God and I let my faith guide in my life. Youâve literally seen live on the other side of the world by myself and have the time of my life. Thatâs God not me. Iâve almost lost my life a couple times, almost lost my mother at 14, lost my dad at 22 and Iâm still here loving my God everyday. Iâve traveled the world, won championships, awards, working with the youth, giving speeches and living the life God set me out to live. My own mother told me I wasnât successful and that I was nobody boy was she wrong. Iâm a natural born winner, I wasnât put on this earth to just have a city job and die. God put me on this to LIVE. To conquer and to help spread his name and his love.
So you risk your freedom? Waste your time in life in prison and on papers. Live a life of crime and become a felon, who now has his or her life dictated by someone else. Pee in this cup for me, come see me every time I say, pick up on third when I call, be home by this time and no you can't travels. Â Same fools that label you a "Real N***A", didn't visit you, write you, put money on your books nor give you mother or children money for the bills and groceries. You're looking for validation from the wrong people. Same hood cats on the same block with the same poor mindset. We have to do better as a people.
Many of us face adulthood with lack of confidence, insecurities and tons of self doubt. We weâre walking through life feeling like we donât deserve love and hugs. âI love youâ came as many times as Christmas did in a year. We have to open up the conversation and start to heal. Our parents did their best, yes they were stubborn, resistant to change and very unreasonable. Those feelings are dragging us down, as teenagers and adults. You do deserve love, you are capable and amazing. Understand they grew up on survival mode and love was the last thing that they were thinking about. Itâs not your fault understand their circumstances and youâll find peace and happiness within yourself.
We've all been told things in our lives that did not just scar us in that moment but we've carried those words with us for the rest of our lives. Today, together we take a stance and remove that identity from our lives. We are enough, we are amazing and we are capable of reaching great heights in life. People say things and sometimes have no idea the long term effect that the could have on someone else's life. SO......F**K OFF!!!!
We all have to stay inside. We can't work outside. Â We have to work inside. Â We're working out indoors to better how we look on the outside but are forgetting that we have to work on ourselves on the inside. Our inner happiness and peace are just as important. What a better time to self reflect and work internally on ourselves.
Iâm going to be my families first millionaire. Itâs a lot to say but itâs also going to be so worth it when I make it. Fear has to be eliminated in order to reach great heights. Fear and me are best friends because it brings out the best in me. Forget everything and run or Forget everything and rise. The choice is mines and I want to become a millionaire.
Growth is scary, uncomfortable, challenging and ultimately extremely necessary to become the best version of yourself. Growth is a journey that can take years. It is something that starts from within that everyone may not be onboard with right away. Ultimately, you become more self reliant because for the first time in your life you are prioritizing yourself and what you want out of life. My sister and my brother, flourish.
Financial literacy is not common in our community but it is something that can learned over a period of time. Letâs take control of the narrative and practice better financial habits. Prioritize having money, saving, investing and not just consuming. It is extremely old as this point of living beyond your means. Financial freedom in the key to living the lifestyle that you truly desire. Messing up your credit and fixing is a life lesson but one that we can avoid knowing how credit works before we use it. Michael Jordan makes money off the hood and the hood will always be the hood just with Jordanâs on.
If youâre black and over 6ft you are threat young man. The law fears us and this why when an opportunity is given or created they inflict their will on us. Cameras donât help because they will do as they please every time. Even if they donât kill you they have scarred you for life. This why many men of color are walking around and living with PTSD, due to traumatic encounters with the law. Be careful my brothers and do your best to not put your life nor freedom in jeopardy.
Giving doesnât really cost you much. We all have more then we need of everything. It may not be monetarily but clothes, food, shelter etc. Blessed isnât always that you are financially wealthy but it also means for most of us that we are blessed with much more than we actually need. With information we have to give our communities the proper information to make it in life and become someone. Finances take discipline and being financial literate is important.
Reflection and how we plan to seek our purpose and reach our full potential. We all have to start moving better.
My goal is to create awareness on things that we all hide and do not want to confront. We all seek peace within ourselves and together we can help one another attain this inner peace. Weâve all walked a different path and have gone through different experiences as children. 20yrs later you feel the same pain, as if it was yesterday. Itâs time to let go and become the best version of yourself.
One big emotional decision could of cost me my entire season. This championship was special because I sacrificed so much to reach that moment with my team. I fell but I got back up. It is important to step back and take a moment to breath. Emotional decisions can cost you big time.

Wow.... Heavy heavy topic but it is deemed in my spirit necessary to speak about. We all can relate in one way or another to this. Years and years of oppression coming from your own family. The people you love hurt the most and a person is scorn can only teach you be scorn. When is it enough? When do we confront the issue? Better yet, the root of the issue.
Letâs break up with misery and starting dating happy. Your own happiness should gratify you. Not you helping someone attain something that you havenât helped yourself attain. Itâs not easy, itâs uncomfortable but itâs necessary. You deserve to be HAPPY!
Itâs okay to struggle and take on all the good or bad that life has to offer you. Struggle will show you what you are really made of and capable of. People say to run away from struggle but I believe the opposite. Where we should get to know our struggles and use them to make us better individuals.
Europe has been lovely and Iâm still always on point because the Bronx raised me its nice to live without that tension and fear for my life every time that I leave my house. Weâre all human at the end of the day. Letâs spread peace and love towards one another but it starts with being honest on how black people are treated and being targeted by law enforcement. This sh*t has to stop.
Start to bring yourself up. Stop relying on people and material things to validate you. You are enough. You deserve all the joys and wonders that this world has to offer.
Kiss my ass is the energy that Iâm giving in this episode. Latinos oppressing other Latinos because of what they were taught was acceptable and unacceptable when it came to skin color. We come in all shades and skin color doesnât make one more than the other. We need unity and love not oppression and hate.
You are NOT the first NOR the last person to NOT make it to the professional level in your sport. Please remove failure from your identity and stop playing the victim. You didnât succeed at one thing and now you let that define the rest of your life. Student athlete thatâs why you go get your education and go to class and stay in school. You need plan b if plan a doesnât work. Letâs be better and stop playing the I didnât make it card forever.

More perspective on topics I feel we need to talk about. Relationships I feel have lost its essence and foundation to why two people are with one another. Part of it is social media but the other part of it I feel is two people not investing in one another to bring the best out of one another.
