Vodafone has launched a new Carers Policy for employees. It’s a market leading policy, offering 10 days additional paid leave and flexible working options. Beoir Chorcha Dhuibhne/West Kerry Brewery won the Irish Drink Awards for its golden ale, Béal Bán at the Irish Food Writers’ Guild Awards 2023 this week. The small-batch brewery was set up in 2008 by Adrienne Heslin at Tig Bhric in Ballyferriter. Her partner, Pádraig Bric had inherited the pub in 1999 – he was the fourth generation to run it; he tragically died in 2001. When Adrienne set up the brewery, it was the first in Kerry, and it was the first in Ireland to be founded and managed by a woman.
