Hi! I am a 14 year old with 4 hamsters (two female winter white dwarfs and 2 male Syrians), and they mean so much to me. You may not have known, but there is so much misinformation/lack of information about the correct hamster care. My goal in making this podcast is to change that. Whether you are getting a hamster, have a hamster, or just like animals and want something to listen to, this is the podcast for you! I cover everything from stories about my own hamsters to proper hamster care to tricks for taming your hamster, and everything in between! I hope you like my podcast- enjoy listening!
One major concern when considering owning a pet is: "what do I do with them when I'm not at home?" While there may be some instances where you can bring a pet with you on your travels, there will likely be times where you cannot. In these cases, what do you do? How do you make sure someone is taking good care of your hamster(s)? Answer all these question by listening to this episode!
Hi everyone! Welcome back to my podcast. Keeping your hamsters cage tidy and clean is a very important part of your hamster care. Cleaning cages can be approached in different ways, so today I'm here to talk about the two types of cleaning you should be doing.
Hi everyone!
Today, October 22nd, marks the first anniversary of Nura and the Hammies; as of this day one year ago, I uploaded and published my first episode of this podcast. It has been quite a year—through sad times and new hamster additions, I have grown my podcast, hamster care, and (hopefully) listeners, and I really, really appreciate all my listeners for tuning in to each and every episode. When I first started this podcast, my goal was to help other people learn about hamster care, and also to use it as a way to channel all my random hamster talk towards people outside of my family. With that goal still in mind, I plan to continue my podcast and evolve my hamster care even more over the course of this next year. I have so many people to thank, but most especially, thank you to my parents, who have been supporters and the first listeners of my podcast. A HUGE thank you to all my listeners--this podcast would just be me talking to myself if it weren't for you! I can't wait to see what this year will bring for Nura and the Hammies!!
Hi all,
In this episode I talk about something I've never discussed before—the importance of going easy on yourself and others. Sometimes, when you discover parts of your hamster care that maybe weren't safe, or could've been improved, it's easy to blame yourself and get mad at your hamster care. I've certainly been much to harsh on myself before! This episode is something I wanted to share because I think it applies to a lot of people, and I think it is important to recognize that hamster care doesn't get much attention online; we often see videos or posts on social media that get lots of likes and views while showing unfortunate hamster care or hamster treatment. I hope that this episode can be a reminder to you that most people start out with hamster care that wasn't particularly amazing. In my view, so long as you care for your hamster and do your best to care for them, you hamster is very lucky to have you.
