This podcast was created to shed light on “The Sad Tragedy of Zahra Abrahimzadeh” and what started what some known today as the Zahra Foundation. Sometimes when we as women believe that we all have a choice in this world as to who our future husband will be, that is not the case or option for everyone. Some women in other parts of the world, do not have the privilege to make that decision. The reason for this is because the countries they reside in, is male dominated countries leaving them to have to endure abuse if the husband that was arranged to them becomes abusive. On May 5, 2019 in Jacksonville Florida in the 2900 block of West Second Street, a 23 year old woman was shot and killed by her ex boyfriend during a domestic violence dispute. Khina Jayneisa Cullen left behind her 3 children with no mother or father as Christopher Tyrell Anderson 23 took his life after taking her out.
In accordance to Khina's mother Tiki Stafford, she never realized the extent of the abuse that her daughter was experiencing until after her death. She also stated that Khina filed several injunctions against her abuser, but didn't realized how serious the abuse actually was.
