This morning Pastor Greg continues the series: Little Stories, Big Truths-the Parables of Jesus, by talking about D-I-R-T. The first parable that Jesus gives after changing His method of teaching the people (last week’s message) is the parable of the ‘Seed & the Sower’. We find out in this message that the difference between producing fruit or not is the condition of the soil. What does that mean for us? Find out in this message titled: “What Kind of Dirt Are You?”

This morning Pastor Greg begins a new series based on the Parables of Jesus found in the Gospels. The series is called: Little Stories, Big Truths. Today’s message discusses why Jesus switched His teaching method and began speaking exclusively in parables as He taught about the Kingdom. What are parables? What was the purpose of Jesus speaking in parables? The answer is both encouraging and sobering and makes us truly want to be a seeker of Jesus.

This morning Pastor Greg continues on the theme of living with intentionality for the Lord. Living with purpose, focus, direction, and intentionality for God. He talks about 3 “I Am” statements that the Apostle Paul declared. 3 statements that are intentional and so very applicable to us today.

This morning Pastor Greg speaks on intentionality. We are called as believers to live lives of intentionality for the Lord & His Kingdom. This then flows down to every part & detail of our life. We typically live with ‘good intentions’,but good intentions are way different than living with intentionality

Happy New Year!! In this first message of the year, Pastor Greg speaks on a topic that should be a distinguishing mark in every believer’s life. We see it in creation, we see it at the end of time, and for over 20 centuries it has been a part of the lives of the people of God. What we are talking about is different than the world’s happiness, it’s a lasting inner contentment and we are glad.

With one Sunday left in December, Pastor Greg visits another aspect of the Christmas story again. This part of the story, though, takes place AFTER the scene of the manager, the angelic pronouncement to the shepherds, the heavenly choir, and the excitement of the lowly shepherds. What do we do the ‘day after Christmas’? How should we approach Jesus after all the decorations are put away, the social media Christmas posts are over, and the excitement of the season has finished?

“I doubt God hears me.” This is a statement that many believers utter because many of our prayers seemingly go unanswered. This morning we continue talking about doubt by examining 2 pretty obscure characters of the Christmas story found in Luke 2. They had been praying for a long time without an answer. What do we do when it seems as if our prayers go unanswered? That is the subject of this morning’s message.

This morning we examine how some of Jesus' followers & disciples ‘doubted’ Him after the resurrection in Matthew 28:17. What did this mean & what kind of ‘doubt’ were they exhibiting? When we uncover the meaning behind this very specific Greek word, we will find the reality that many coming to churches every Sunday exhibit this same type of ‘doubt’. Let’s go all in for Jesus.

This morning we continue to talk about doubt. Last week we talked about doubting the Word of God. This week we will look at the Old Testament characters Sarah & Abraham and see how they doubted God’s promise. We often find ourselves giving the same type of response as these Biblical characters when we read or hear the Promises of God. How should we stand on God’s promises, even when there could be a delay in their fulfillment. These are the questions Pastor Greg addresses in his message today.

This morning we start a mini-series that we are calling: “But…What About My Doubts?’. We are going to take a few weeks and examine a few characters of the Bible who were faced with doubt and see how they responded & reacted. Is spiritual doubt normal for the believer? What are we to do about spiritual doubt? Is there any good that can come from spiritual doubt? ← this is what we want to discuss as we examine Adam & Eve in Genesis 3.

The world we live in is steeped in what Pastor Greg likes to call, “the ME culture”. What is that all about & does the Bible speak about how we should live in the “ME culture”. That is what Pastor Greg talks about in a sort of ‘addendum’ message to our last series, “Decision Time: Be The Difference’ by talking about one MAJOR way in which we can be more like Christ & different than the world (especially in this hyper-divisive culture we find ourselves in). God bless you.

This morning we finish the series that we have been in: ‘Decision Time: Be The Difference’ by talking out “OUR VOTE”. Everyone says that your vote counts during an election year, and that is definitely true regarding our SPIRITUAL VOTE. There are only 2 candidates in this race that we can ‘cast our vote for’ (Matthew 6:24). How do you even cast a ‘spiritual vote’? That’s what Pastor Greg is going to discuss, but it’s in one simple phrase: who do you trust?

We live in a day where so many things can take our attention and our focus. Sometimes we can forget what ‘the main thing is’. This message is all about remember the MAIN thing, especially in a highly political year, time, and season. We are to remember the Kingdom of God and be Kingdom minded. What is the Kingdom of God and what does this charge even mean? It doesn’t matter who wins in November in all levels of politics, Jesus Christ is on the Throne and HE REIGNS.

What is going on in our world today? There is so much happening that is alarming, shocking, and even quite frightening. We do not really know what tomorrow will bring in this world. We especially feel this way in a political year when we do not know what will happen as our nation turns out to vote. Is there a way to live ‘certain’ in an ‘uncertain’ world? That is the question that Pastor Greg answers by examining a time of uncertainty in the Israelites journey in the wilderness and the OT character Joshua.

We close our series on Vision & Mission of the church this morning by talking about something that is VERY vital & important to the Body of Christ. Individual believers growing in Jesus Christ. Pastor Greg has talked about this subject much, but today he dives into the WHY we need to grow in Christ based on the Apostle Paul’s writing in Ephesians 4:10-16. There are dangers lurking for those that are still ‘children’ in their walks with the Lord.

Growing in community is the theme of the message today. What exactly is church community and why is it so important? Why do churches put so much of an emphasis on ‘church community’? Pastor Greg lists 6 reasons why church community is important based on Hebrews 10:24-25. We were never intended to walk this spiritual journey as a disciple of Jesus alone. We were meant to be involved in each other’s lives, helping each other, serving one another, loving one another, & encouraging one another.

It REALLY rained this week in Corpus Christi, TX. We were in the northern band’s path of tropical storm Alberto. We have definitely needed the rain in our drought parched land, but WOW…..some devastation & destruction have happened along with the rain. The musical group Rascal Flats sang a lyric that stated, ‘life is a highway’. They wanted to just drive & drive on this highway of life. Life is not like a highway……life is more like living out in the sea and storms come upon the sea, as a matter of fact, vicious storms can happen on the seas. Sometimes it seems like more than we can handle. Would God actually allow ‘more than we can handle’ in our lives? <—That’s what we are going to discuss this morning.

The world does not like weakness, but that is what God is after in us for when we are spiritually weak, that’s when we will be spiritually strong

We are creatures of habit and typically run to things that are familiar to us. We shop at the same stores, order the same food, listen to the same playlists, and stick to things that we deem safe, comfortable, and familiar. This can even sneak into our spiritual lives. This week we take a little turn in our series about the Power of a Godly Vision and talk more about working together in Kingdom Work by looking at Nehemiah 3. God wants a church that is unified and working together. When we look at chapter 3 we see a list of workers that was very diverse, some did much, some did little, some used different talents and abilities, but the most important thing is that they were doing it together and they rebuilt Jerusalem’s walls and gates in a miraculous time. God can do the miraculous through us when we offer Him what we have and work together.

We talk about our ‘vision playbook’ this morning in our series: Nehemiah-the Power of a Godly Vision. Every team has a playbook. Many businesses have a playbook for their employees. A playbook is nothing more than a plan or strategy. Listen along as we see how Nehemiah planned accordingly after he received his God-given vision to go and rebuild the walls and gates of Jerusalem.

Last week Pastor Greg talked about ‘the waiting game’, that time between when you feel God birthing a vision or burden in you but you do not know the ‘when’ nor the ‘how’ of the vision. This week we unpack the prayer that Nehemiah prayed during his waiting time and we learn a valuable prayer guide that we can utilize during our time of developing, character building, and dependence upon the Lord as we, wait.

Happy Father’s Day. Pastor Greg gives dads, grandads, foster dads, & spiritual dads (as well as all parents) Biblical instruction about what our kids desperately need. We learn this by unpacking the fatherly blessing the Israelite patriarch Isaac gave his son Jacob in Genesis 27. Who do we want affirming our kids? The world will happily step up and give them affirmation if we, and the church, do not do this. There is a spiritual battle that is raging for our kids, and we can do much in the Lord’s power to help them in this battle. This message is titled: The Blessing of Affirmation.

Today we continue our new series about having a Godly vision for your life based on the vision or purpose that God gave Nehemiah in the Old Testament. Last week Pastor Greg spoke on the ‘where’ of a Godly vision; the means and methods that God uses to get a vision to us. This week Pastor Greg talks about the “how’ of a Godly vision and more specifically how to claim your Godly vision. We learn this by examining the actions, reactions, and emotions of Nehemiah when he learns of the situation in Jerusalem. We bless you and pray that you find Jesus closer and nearer in your life.

We unpack a story about a mom in the Old Testament in Genesis 16 this morning on Mother's Day. We see a mom named Hagar go through a lot of affliction simply because she became a mom. We often find ourselves like Hagar being afflicted by many situations in life and it makes us want to run away and hide in the wilderness like she did. Where was her hope? Where is our hope? We find out that all of our hope is in the 'God who sees me". We pray that you are encouraged this morning by God's Word. Join us this morning as we dig into God's pure calling in our life.

Today we learn a great lesson about expectation from the story of the lame beggar found in Acts 3:1-10. What are you expecting from God in your life, in your family, & in your church? Are you more like the people of Jesus' hometown in Matthew 13-53-38 where they did not expect anything from Jesus and they did not believe? Jesus was limited in His ministry there because of their unbelief. We talk about 6 expectations that every believer should have in this message. Let's believe and expect big things from God.
