This is by no means a perfect episode. I stumbled in my words a little (corrected in the final part of the episode). I said Jesus wrote the Bible but I meant it was inspired by God. face palmI'm human. I pray before each episode that I make sense in my fallible humanness. Backstory: Don't let this being from a Christian perspective fool you! World News, in my opinion, honestly does strive to give facts and not just opinion. I have seen articles both for and against the vaccine, neutral thoughts (and only facts) on political campaigns, etc, showing that they do not carry just one opinion and strive to give readers both sides of an argument. I truly appreciate them and the money to get their magazine is so worth it!

There is no shame in what you are feeling. Your feelings may be valid, but you don't have to live with them.
And, as always, remember -- you are loved!
The world tells me that I am not my body--that my value is what I make it. While these words can sound freeing to my personhood, they unintentionally have sent the message that I will NEVER be good enough.
In this episode of "Porch Swing Conversations," Kara shares her own personal struggles with finding the meaning of life, and why these ideals hurt her journey even though they were supposed to help.
I was around the age of eleven when I became dissatisfied with my gender and who I was.
This thought threw me into a whirlwind of depression, anxiety, and darkness that took years of battles, and I am here to stand up against my old ideals that the girl in the mirror was a mistake. Part one of more episodes to come on sexual identity, this episode is a passionate call to loving ourselves as God intended.
