In this conversation, I speak with former Duquesne University A-10 champion and All conference center back, Casey Aunkst. Casey helped Duquesne University women's soccer achieve new heights in her freshmen season, helping the Dukes to the first-ever A-10 championship and an NCAA tournament appearance during her freshmen season.
I reached out to Casey for her practical insight into what it takes to fuel the female athlete in two different endeavors. Not only as a Division 1 athlete, but Casey now competes in physique competitions along with being a front line working during the most historical year of her life.
We discuss how she transformed herself over her four-year career. The small changes and choices she had to make to stay at the top of her game, during her college career.
She discusses the different aspects of her nutrition as she prepared and trained for her first physique competition.
Lastly, how her training methods changed from the ever-popular conditioning/running thought process to more resistance training.

In this episode, I spoke with Ian Barker and Vince Ganzberg from the United Soccer Coaches Association. I reached out to Ian and Vince to understand the concept of designing a game model. The game model continues to be a topic that many coaches are unfamiliar with and may not have put much thought to other than for specific areas of the game (i.e., tactics and technique).
Also in the episode, we begin to scratch the surface on another area gaining some popularity, Evidence-Based Coaching.
Needless to say, time flew by and we didn't cover the concept of Evidence-Based Coaching to great lengths.
