REd has a new way for you to continue learning! We will be offering podcasts that link topics on responsible conduct of research. These audio discussions will provide you 5-10 minutes of information about work in the research context! In this podcast, we talk with Dholani Perera, PS Clinical Site Monitor, about The Research Quality Compliance Network (RQCN) does and who is involved. The RQCN was created by the Office of Quality Compliance (OQC) in July 2020. The network provides a forum for people involved in research to share and seek advice from their peers and hear the latest in quality compliance-related issues.
In this episode we talk with Dr. Rachel Hayes-Harb, Professor, Department of Linguistics. Dr. Hayes-Harb talks about the importance of high-quality research mentoring, as well as the opportunities available for researchers on our campus to develop their mentoring skills.
The Utah Center for Promotion of Work Equity Research (U-POWER) is a Center of Excellence in Total Worker Health® at the University of Utah dedicated to research and outreach that envisions work that is safe, healthy, and equitable for all. It is directed by Dr. Emily Ahonen, Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. Today from U-POWER we are joined by Camie Schaefer, PhD, the Associate Director of U-POWER, who manages daily operations and communications of the center. Dr. Schaefer will be discussing why Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) is important, how to easily bring CBPR into current research and why CBPR important is to U-POWER.

In this episode we will be talking with Lori Kowaleski-Jones, the Director of Interdisciplinary Exchange for Utah Science (Nexus). Dr. Kowaleski-Jones will be discussing what the overall vision with NEXUS across the University of Utah Campus.
