Many are afraid to enter politics at a young age since this might negatively influence them, but for SK Miel Agustin, this was the opportune time to help change the system. Episode 20 narrates the challenges that Miel faced as an LGBTQ+ youth leader and how this identity helped her champion youth and gender rights not just in their community but in the City of Malolos as well. She also reflects on why her #SangguniangKabataan was awarded one of the top 10 Outstanding Youth Council in the Philippines.

In 2018, Dana tried the zero waste lifestyle and from then on, decided to take on a journey in making her life choices more sustainable. Episode 19 shares the challenges of beginning the lifestyle and the conflicts she had with various institutions in her attempt to change the world, one plastic waste at a time. While many of us are still exploring our identities and dreams when we were 16, Mark and his friends decided to distribute lights to off-grid communities in the Philippines. This is when One Million Lights Philippines started. Since 2010, this non-profit organization "provides clean, safe, and affordable solar lights to off-grid communities" and has now "conducted 100+ lighting initiatives across the Philippines, impacting the lives of over 150,000 Filipinos". Join my conversation with Mark as he shares the memories of starting the organization and the stories of going around different communities in the Philippines. Asst. Prof. Rafael is a former professional accountant who made a mid-life career shift into sociology. He is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy in UP Diliman. In celebration of the #InternationalStutteringAwarenessDay last October 22, Andre Amador shares his experiences as a person who stutters - from his early memories in grade school to his daily struggles in riding the jeepney. These stories motivated him to advocate for stuttering awareness especially in building support groups for the community and correcting some misconceptions about the condition.

When Jervis was a kid, he witnessed how broadcast journalists were present in covering historical events - so he wanted to be one. Episode 14 shares the stories of Jervis Manahan from dreaming of becoming a broadcast journalist to being one. He shares the lessons he learned from UP as a student of broadcast communication, and how he teaches these lessons to his students. He narrates learning about the ABS-CBN shutdown and the challenges related to it. And he reflects on his learning as a broadcast journalist during the pandemic and the roles they have on the coming 2022 elections.

For Episode 5, we have Junesse Crisostomo, a Speech Communication instructor and researcher at the University of the Philippines Diliman. For Episode 3, Speaking Of Teaching Communication Online, we talk about how the pandemic impacted on the way we teach and learn public speaking and communication.
