I've been away three weeks and I've missed speaking to you guys the most. On this episode, I have Aisha (my favorite girl) and Hillie (my partner in word hunt).
On here, we get very candid about whether social media popularity has changed how we see ourselves and relate to others, we also recollect how and when we realized our following was expanding and what we made out of the situation. One of the most pivotal experiences in our life Cycle is Dating. It can be both splendid and horrid depending on your luck and how intentional you are. Friendship is one of the most beautiful human connections ever! I weep for myself every time I recall how I mishandled my previous friendships. But that's forgivable, when you're young, a lot is. I don't have much to say, because I am still on a learning curve, but I do know a few things for sure, not everyone is worth being your friend, not everyone you befriend will stay and the friend to your friend is not ALWAYS your friend haha! and its all okay. All in all, find your tribe and when you do, love them openly, bravely and daily and incase it takes a little longer, there's nothing wrong with you give time time the universe will work its magic....... On this episode my high school friend and I recollect our experience. To be honest high school did a number on me, it tainted a lot of what I believed and at the same time opened me up to new realities. To date the 4 years were the wildest in my Cycle especially my relationship with self, God and others. I need these words tatted on my forehead or something because I firmly believe in endless possibilities, not all the time but most times. Oscar and I talked about a lot, and he opened me up to the idea of therapy. We also talked a bit about toxic workplaces and what it looks like to live in the current times as young adults. He made a call to rethink employment as a means to grow and shared his experience as an associate at a top firm. I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did.

I realized I haven't ever talked about the EP and the process behind it with you guys. Its going to sound like a rant which it technically is but not so much because we're good over here now. To be honest I know only so much about this specific human experience and if the current state of affairs is anything to go by then I'll gladly sit it out :). But again if you don't take anything from this episode, remember that, You are not your failures- detach your self worth from things that fail because its inevitable sometimes. Also, do the things that make you feel okay except screaming at 4 A.M, okay you can do that as well haha just don't hurt you or anyone else. And as you navigate this cycle, relax the waves will be calmer and the sun will shine again, For Sure!

I don't know how I feel about relationships and love in general. Its messed up, but it doesn't have to be & in the same breath I don't know how its supposed to be. Could it be an age factor, am I too young? (laughs in 40 year old still grappling with this concept) are you too young? are you too old? Is there a right time?
This cycle of life will teach you things you never knew you needed to learn, it'll have you in pits you never knew existed and at the same time will give you highs you never want to come down from. If you don't take anything away from the episode, remember this, be gentle with yourself, take your time, when love comes knocking don't fight it and when it leaves let it.
I hate the word No, its so ugly, who even thought putting together such odd letters of the alphabet was a good idea? But you know what, I love what it teaches me, maybe not in that exact moment but overtime. I don't want to say much on here a I probably haven't even scratched the surface with the amount of No's I'll hear in my life. And to be quite honest, I don't know much about how to cope but I know a lot about moving on! Brace yourself dear listener, your Cycle may be full on No's beyond what you can fathom, but fret not, You Are not Alone :)
At some point we've all wondered whether staying in school was worth all the trouble. Some people continue to grapple with whether to relentlessly pursue their gifting or to remain in school, you know, for the sake of it. Dan and I reflect on the education system in Kenya and try to find middle ground for people who cannot resolve this dilemma. Hopefully the insight from this podcast provides a semblance of clarity to anyone facing this difficult decision as they navigate their life cycles. Enjoy!
A lot of times the voices in our heads are stronger and louder than we can bear. We convince ourselves of things that are not real despite the existence of evidence affirming the contrary. through this episode I want to reassure you that it is normal to question yourself, it is okay to wonder sometimes, but its not okay to own up to the false truths our minds conjure out of fear, anxiety and self-doubt. So as you walk through your unique path and move along your cycles always remember , You are magic! Own IT.
At the time this episode goes up, it will be two months since the sudden demise of my beloved father. I miss him with every fiber of my being, the whole family does. I felt it right to let you in on this stage of my life as a way to heal myself and connect with many of you going through the same thing as well. I can't take anyone's pain away, neither can I mine but I can encourage you to feel it. Ride the waves as they come and maybe one day, the seas won't be as rough.
