A celebration of Jesus' resurrection & reflection on his prayer for his disciples and their ministry.
Before Jesus' crucifixion, he prays for the completion of his ministry to bring salvation to all.
Even during times of struggle, we are to remain faithful, patiently waiting for the Lord's coming.
We were saved from a love of self in order to live with a God-honouring love for others.
When we accept that God is enough, we cease striving to find fulfillment in worldly things.

One of the most well-known questions Paul asked was, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" This rhetorical question brings great joy and encouragement in all seasons of life.
The first question as person asks in the Bible is, "Am I my brother's keeper?" This question was asked to avoid the guilt of wronging another and to limit responsibility for others.

God's grace can forgive every sin in life, except for a life that remains closed to his gracious mercy.
Grace is not a just wage or reward that we have earned, but in all cases an undeserved gift.

is about the announcement of the Savior; the real reason for lasting joy in our lives.
Peace is not the absence of conflict as much as it is the presence of God. Emmanuel; God with us

A disciple is someone who follows Jesus, is being changed by Jesus, and is committed to the mission of Jesus.

Self-control is being able to keep one's self in check; exhibiting moderation, temperance, and discipline.
Gentleness is allowing God to deal with others so that we don’t have to take matters into our own hands.
Goodness is truly desiring to help others. It doesn’t just do the right thing, but strives to make things right.
Kindness is showing benevolence to all and looking to put the well-being of others ahead of ourselves.
Peace is a deep well of confidence that God is who He says He is and will do what he says He will do.
Joy is a deep and enduring state of our soul that no circumstance, event, or human can steal away from us.
Christian character is a product of the Spirit. Love is selfless, giving, & devoted; putting others first.
Daniel had the courage to Stand Out in the crowd, and God honoured him by making him a Stand Out
Jonah believed in God's mercy and compassion, but was selective in who he thought should receive it. He was more concerned for his personal temporary needs than the eternal spiritual needs of others.
Reaching a turning point in life does not always reveal what is happening in the heart. Jonah displays a begrudging obedience, while Nineveh dispalys authentic repentence.
Jonah is thankful for being rescued and vows to go to Nineveh, but remains self-centered and unrepentent.
Inspite of this, God's continues in His love and plan for Jonah and Nineveh.
God's "cause" had a significant affect upon Jonah and the sailors. The prophet Jonah ran away from God, while the pagan sailors ran towards Him.
West Meadows is a place where our presence in the surrounding community positively impacts every family and reveals the love of Jesus.
Jesus' followers were distinct from the "crowds" as a diverse group of "insiders" unified under Him.
Jesus had three disciples who were his closest friends, his students, and who went on to mentor others.
The 12 men Jesus selected were more than travelling companions, they were his LifeGroup.

God's will is revealed to us in Scripture, and is to be as willingly followed here as it is in heaven.
We are praying to God who is incomprehensibly great & holy, yet relational and approachable in Jesus Christ.
We foster a culture of leadership where everyone's gifts contribute to serve others and glorify God.
To invite people to experience a life that's better with Jesus by living out His grace, truth and love.
Jesus commanded us to go and build the Kingdom; not by building a church, but by being the church.
Jesus cautioned to make sure our minds are set on seeking to advance the Kingdom, not a church or worldly ends.
Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom of God had come, and decisive action was required to enter & experience it.
In Jesus we have the never-ending protection, provision, and love of our Heavenly Father
The promise of Immanuel was ultimately fulfilled in the birth of Jesus who is God with Us.
God's love provokes us to treasure Him, and in treasuring Him, we discover He also treasures us.
Faith is the opposite of control. We can only fly in life when we trust someone will catch us.
God himself becomes our treasure when we desire Him rather than what He grants or solves in our lives.
Jesus commands his followers to keep his commands out of love for him and with help from the Holy Spirit.
Problem: when faith has no place for God. Moses failed to trust God and acted on own, usurping God's place.
It is good to obey God, but if morality slips into moralism, we keep ourselves & others from seeing God
What matters most to God is not our obedience or disobedience, but rather our presence.
In light of all that God has done for us, as we look to the future, what is our proper response?
Following times of failure, God remains faithful to us, but will we confess and renew our faithfulness to Him?
We are part of a community, and need to remember that our actions - good or bad - impact the lives of others.
The walls of Jericho can be metaphors for barriers in our lives that prevent us from experiencing God's promises.
Good, bad, or godly, we all have a past, but we can choose which will define our future.
Our mission is to take our "insider info" to the outside world, so all people can come into the Kingdom of God.
Amidst the chaos & stress, let's remember what is truly important this Christmas season
We often focus on externals - clothes, presents, decor - but what does the inside look like?
Simon the Zealot: let's be zealous to win people over to Jesus so we may all re-joice together.
Judas Iscariot: Demonstrating re-morse or re-pentence will have a different impact upon our relationships.
Judas (Jude; Thaddaeus): Jesus called two men named Judas, but each received Him in different ways
James (the Lesser): Reviewing the stages of spiritual maturity, and recognize what stage we are each at
Matthew: The closer one gets to God, the more we need to re-examine our relationship with Him & others
All disciples had doubts, but they could be resolved by honestly and courageously seeking the truth
Coming to realize that our knowledge about God must develop into a deep devotion for God
How to respond to Jesus, who proves himself the supplier of all good things, and the Bread of Life
