In this episode, I wanted to share the most exciting time of my professional life: being a founder. I wanted to catch you up on the past 3-4 months and the steps I've taken to found this company with my incredible technical partner, Jenn Trippett. I'm very excited to see where this takes me, and I can't wait to meet all of you in person.

Hopefully this is encouraging to some people who need that extra excitement to go out there and take their first steps toward their dreams, so have a great day, and I'll make sure to do the same.

In this episode, I wanted to share what it was like going from a company that I felt didn't appreciate my attitude and effort, to a company that really wanted me to join the team and see me grow and flourish. The latter company is Holt Lunsford Commercial, and I absolutely cherish my opportunity to do good work and make this company a lot of money.

Hopefully this is encouraging to some people evaluating their current work situation, so have a great day, and I'll make sure to do the same.

In this episode, I wanted to share my experience with what facing rejection for 12-months and finally having success looks like. I literally went 11 1/2 months without making any money, and through God's will and sheer determination, I was able to bring on one of the biggest clients our company has seen the entire year.

Hopefully this is encouraging to some people, so have a great day, and I'll make sure to do the same.

In this episode, I wanted to share my experience with the emotional rollercoaster of business. There is an immense amount of opportunity in the business world and managing your expectations is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Maybe you feel the same. Here is an anecdotal experience and my takeaway from how an emotional rollercoaster has destroyed my life. Take a listen and let me know what you think in the comments below!

In this episode, I wanted to share my experience with Shiny Object Syndrome, what it is, and how to avoid it like the plague. If you find yourself with new, innovative, and bright ideas that you are pursuing all the time only to find the next idea, drop what you are doing, and go on to that, then you are in luck. Because I am going to tell you that you are not only wasting an immense amount of potential doing that, but also how to overcome it and only pursue the ideas that support your vision. Take a listen and let me know what you think in the comments below!

Have a great day, and I'll make sure to do the same.

In this episode, I wanted to share what it feels like to be between a rock and a hard place (two equal pressures that are bearing down on you). On one hand, my wife is putting pressure on me to quit and take on a new job, but on the other hand, I am in the midst of some massive CRE clients that could be life changing. Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Have a great day, and I'll make sure to do the same.

In this episode, "Sacrifice - Never the Best Man", I wanted to share with you what it means to sacrifice your personal life for a life larger than yourself. There are serious sacrifices that each of us have to make in life, and in my case, as outlined in this podcast, I sacrificed a close friendship for my career. As painful as this can be, we all have to make hard choices to be proud of ourselves at the end of the day. I hope some of you can learn from my experiences and I hope to continue producing content that can help you in your journey toward success.

Have a great day, and I'll make sure to do the same.

In this episode, "Hunting for Whales - Make or Break?", I wanted to share with you a quick update on my career and life, and what my current situation is as I am clawing my way towards success. I recently came into contact with a rather large business who I believe has the potential to become one of my clients. We will see what direction it takes, but if they sign-on, there is a large chance I will make it in this industry. Stay tuned for more updates and hopefully you can learn from my experience.

Have a great day, and I'll make sure to do the same.

In this episode, "Short Update - Representation Agreements", I wanted to share with you a quick update on my career and life, and furthermore what I have learned recently from a mistake I made within the last 2-months. I actually made this mistake twice and both errors came to fruition at the same time. So the learning curve was much sharper in this situation. Enjoy what I have to share, and hopefully you can learn from my mistakes. But remember, nothing teaches you better than the cold hard pavement when you hit your face.

Have a great day, and I'll make sure to do the same.

In this episode, "Reality - When Life Gets Hard", I wanted to share with you the realism of my life and what has been happening. The truth is that my life is not glamorous or fun in any way right now. I am so filled with joy when I am with my family, but when I am at work, sometimes it feels like a living hell. I hope you get reminded that the journey to success is not a an easy one, and I hope you are encouraged by my story and what I have learned these past months that I have worked as a commercial real estate broker.

Have a great day, and I'll make sure to do the same.

In this episode, "Attention - Your Most Valuable Asset", I wanted to briefly speak on why I believe Attention is so valuable and why spending your time wisely really isn't enough. The bottom line, is that someone can spend 8-hours of work and get one thing done half-heartedly, whereas a high-performance person (like us) can come in and get the same job done with exceptional quality in just 2-hours. Think about whether you're giving a task 100% of your attention, a job 100% of your attention, or a relationship 100% of your attention. If you're not, that is what you need to focus on more than anything.

In this episode, "Time - How Are You Spending It?", I wanted to speak on what it looks like, as a high-performance person, to allocate the finite amount of time you have to achieve your goals. We really dig into how effective a person can be, how time is a measurement of potential success, and next episode we'll jump into how to maximize that potential with attention. But for now, learn something from my life and reach out if you have any questions.

Have an incredible Friday, and I'll make sure to do the same.

In this episode, "Focus - What Does It Mean?," I wanted to speak on the Bill Gates & Warren Buffett's supposed determining factor of Success. I speak on it every episode, as to me, it is the conglomeration of Discipline, Time, and Attention. "Focus" is the only limiting factor for people who are average and people who are high-performance individuals. It doesn't matter if you are prepared or lost, just focus on the end goal and everything else will fall into place. IT IS FACT. Focus, from an eternal perspective, will win when all else crumbles away. If you are using your finite resources (time and attention) in an infinite amount of time, you will win. With that, enjoy the podcast.

Have an incredible Friday, and I'll try to do the same.

In this episode, "What is Your Motive," I wanted to speak on the driving factor for why people do anything. The easy system of thinking that can get you to become a high-performance person is the Discipline, Time, and Attention, but why put any effort into those three things? Because of your motive. There is no amount of inspiration that anyone can instill in you to change this limiting factor, and if you are the kind of person that only cares about the "financial freedom" aspect of life, then you are in the wrong Podcast. This group of people is so focused on building a community of highly motivated people that we are not speaking to those of you who want to "chill" and live a good life. Find out why God created you and then pour yourself into that purpose until there is nothing left. That is the only way you can become everything you were created to be.

Have an incredible Friday, and I'll try to do the same.

In this episode, "Discipline & Where it Comes From," I wanted to double-down on the topics we covered in episode 004. In the last episode, we discussed the pillars of a High Performance Person, being Discipline, Time, and Attention. But I reflected for two days on that podcast and realized I was teaching you what fishing was but not how to fish. If you are here, that means you want to know, not just an overview, but the details. That's what this episode is all about. I wanted to really dig into what these pillars look like in action, and what it takes to get them under your house of success. Discipline, the foundation of success in my opinion, is such a valuable skill to have, most people will not succeed merely because of the lack of it. But even Discipline has a source, and that has to be conviction. The source has to be your mission in life, being bigger than yourself. And that really only comes from God. If you don't believe in God, I would love to share more with you, but that's not what this podcast is about. So back on track: have a mission, exercise discipline, and make it the foundation for your success.

Have an incredible Friday, and I'll try to do the same.

In this episode, "High Performance People & How to be One," I really wanted to drive home what it takes to succeed. There are three key pillars I have found to be true in success. The first is Discipline which is the ability to do what you say you are going to do. The second is Time, and what you are spending it on. The final pillar is Attention; which is a person's most valuable asset in the words of Alex Hormozi. If you can begin with stating that you want to be a high performance individual; you have the discipline to see that through; you spend your time on the things that matter, and you focus your attention on achieving those goals, you will succeed. But more importantly than success in and of itself, you will stay successful.

With that, I hope you have as productive a day as I am, and go forth and change the world.

In this episode, "Dealing With The Downs," I wanted to highlight a few key takeaways for you to listen for as you learn from my experiences. The first, is that sometimes bad things happen. The second, is to add these losses to your mental calculation so your logical mind is prepared for this to inevitably happen. And bad things will happen, you cannot escape them, but you can add them to your mental calculations and choose how you react to them. Which brings me to my final takeaway: you have 24 hours to rejoice or mourn. Do not take any more time, especially in your excitement. This podcast is meant for people of focus and discipline, and if you believe in these tenants than there is no reason for you to rejoice for more than 24 hours. Get back on the saddle, and stay focused, because life is far too short to waste it partying when you could be out changing the world.

Have a productive Friday, and I'll see you next week!

When I set my first meeting, I nearly lost my mind.
As I sat across from my peer, Paul Trapani, in the office of my mentor, we cycled through phone calls with a determination to hit our goals and go on the company trip to Mexico. Brian stepped out to speak with the owner of Whitebox, leaving Paul and me to wait for his eventual return. The time was 4:42 PM, and we had 18 minutes to call before the CEOs and Facility Managers left their offices to see their families. I looked at Paul over my computer and said, "I'm just ganna call." That was the single greatest line I had said in my career, and that is my advice to you. When you don't know whether you're great or you suck, just say, "I'm just ganna call." Maybe you will get lucky, maybe you are a natural, maybe you studied how to ask the right questions, or maybe you are like me and you have done all of the above. Either way, just call. I hope you enjoy my breakdown of this experience, and have a wonderful rest of your day.

The big question is: why start a podcast?

Throughout my years, searching for the keys to success like some quest given to me by a fair maiden, I have insisted that someone is out there ready to hand me these keys. So far, I have not found that person. I have many mentors at this point in my life, but none go so far as to tell me exactly how to go about my life. This podcast is meant to be your mentor. Meant to teach you what I needed to know starting out. So many times we see big business gurus teaching entrepreneurship or sales, but they have been so far removed from the beginning that they don't even understand today's process. I'm sure you will listen to this podcast well into the future, and 2022 methods might not be the same for you. But at least you will be able to listen to the everlasting principles that I have learned, of which the foundations for my success have been built upon. So with that, enjoy, and I can't wait to see you in my next episode.
