The topic of agentic security was a very big one at RSAC Conference this year. The conversation was split between safe and secure agentic AI enablement for the enterprise (and consumers), and the agentic enablement of threat actors armed with a new generation of AI tools.

The second part of our conversation with Rajneesh Chopra, SVP and CPO of Cisco Security, touched on the crisis of trust that we face, and the framework that Cisco is contributing openly to help foster safe, enterprise grade GenAI and agentic AI applications.

Raj does a great job of outlining a holistic blueprint that Cisco is working off for safe agentic AI and enterprise GenAI.

Bottom line, Getting to safe agentic AI is a journey with many twists and chasms along the way. We are in the early rounds facing a threat environment that is highly fluid and moving at machine speed.

It will take a mindset of safe AI innovation that preemptively injects what Raj calls "common sense" in lieu of lagging best practices to meet the challenges and threats of fast-evolving AI-assisted cyberattacks.

It was a busy week at RSAC Conference 2026. The topic of agentic security was a very big one, whether you were contemplating it for securing agents you deploy in your enterprise or protecting it from malicious AI agents.

neXt Curve's Leonard Lee had an enlightening conversation with Raj Chopra, SVP and CPO of Cisco Security, about what the company is discovering about the path to enabling safe and secure agentic AI. What impressed was the humility with which Raj approaches the task. We are dealing with unknown unknowns in the age of agentic AI.

Yes, agentic AI is here, whether we like it or not, as a productivity tool or a threat.

Check out this conversation. Raj highlights some priorities and approaches that we agree with based on neXt Curve research. He also introduces some additional angles that CISOs and security practitioners need to contemplate in approaching safe agentic AI for their organizations.

AI security will require the cybersecurity community to think beyond its comfort zone. Yes, fundamentals matter more than ever, but the threats and the countermeasures are unknown.

We hope you find part one of this conversation with Raj Chopra informative. Remember to follow neXt Curve for the agentic security insights and analysis that matter.

This was one of the highlights of MWC 2025 for neXt Curve. Leonard Lee, Executive Analyst of neXt Curve, was invited by Ericsson to have chat with one of the industry’s tech luminaries, Erik Ekudden, CTO of Ericsson. It was great to get the essence of our ongoing conversations about the industry, tech leadership, and the reinvention of the network in a 5G era and beyond.

Erik and Leonard hit on some serious topics important to the industry with a nice mix of levity. We didn’t know where the conversation would go but we knew we had to start with a view on where we are with 5G.

It’s really time to unleash the backlog of 5G technologies waiting to deliver on the promises of 5G yet unrealized which I have been advocating in neXt Curve for a least two years now.

One of the pleasant surprises of NAMM Show 2025 was bumping into Qualcomm. We don’t see too many chip companies making a presence, but given that the AI PC is here as is Snapdragon X Series of mobile processors, it makes sense for Qualcomm to show up to make its presence known to creators and the music industry at large.

We had a chance to chat with PJ Jacobowitz of Qualcomm who was the mastermind of this Snapdragon’s introduction to NAMM Show. We talk about some of the collaborations that the company is doing to make the NPU matter in a substantial way that has eluded the AI PC since its inception.

Check out neXt Curve research and our takes from NAMM Show 2025. There is a lot that we picked up on in our short time at the conference. We’ve been coming here since the 80s and neXt Curve has covered it as an important part of our research since neXt Curve's beginning.

One of the biggest items to hit the tech news cycle last week about this time was word that NVIDIA's Blackwell GPUs and associated systems, in particular, their GB200 NVL72 GenAI supercomputing systems would be delayed. There was a lot of confusion about what that meant and the industry and markets took a week to make sense of things.

I had the chance to finally get Dylan Patel, Chief Analyst and Founder of SemiAnalysis on my show to talk about the research note "Nvidia's Blackwell Reworked - Shipment Delays & GB200A Reworked Platforms
" that he and his team dropped last week that provided detail on what that "delay" means. You don't want to miss out on this chat.

Dylan and I also had an opportunity to just catch up and talk about the present and future of generative AI and what I call (apparently I'm the only one) GenAI supercomputing. There is a little for everyone who is or thinks they are in "AI".

Dylan and I cover the following agenda:

🎱 The state of GenAI supercomputing - What's got you excited, Dylan? (8:22)
🎱 Huang's Law and the GenAI supercomputing scaling wall (21:18)
🎱 The Blackwell "Delay" What is it and why or why will it not matter? (25:44)
🎱 Where do you see GenAI supercomputing going? (40:13)

I will be dropping the podcast on the neXt Curve reThink Podcast subscribe here at be notified when the podcast goes live in the next 24 hours.

Generative AI continues to dominate the techno headlines with a formidable hype cycle underway that we have not seen since, well,... metaverse. While everyone is drinking the Kool-Aid, few are talking about the actual value, utility of generative AI applications, but more concerning, few are talking about what is meant by personalization, corporate confidentiality when it comes to these public generative AI engines. With the advent of Microsoft's Bing Chat and Google's Bard, what are the implications on consumer privacy and the public welfare and benefit beyond the gimmicks and the smoke and mirrors that is ChatGPT.

In this installment of our series, Leonard and Debbie tackle the topic of:

  • ChatGPT on a commercialization craze - Microsoft Bing Chat, Google Bard (1:30).
  • How do you use generative AI safely? (2:40)
  • Is generative AI all that it is cracked up to be? (9:43)
  • A revolution or an incremental improvement? (10:15)

Privacy protection is becoming a growing concern especially after the EU instituted GDPR back on May 25, 2018. We have come a long way with companies like Apple upturning digital marketing by giving users the power and right to opt-in to tracking with the introduction of ATT (Ad Tracking Transparency) feature introduced across the Apple ecosystem. Leonard Lee is joined by Debbie Reynolds, the “Data Diva”, to talk about how far we have come with Privacy First and what she sees driving our progress toward more private digital lives for all.

In this first installment of our series, Leonard and Debbie tackle the topic of:

This is a special Data Diva 911 edition of neXt Curve's reThink webcast series, Privacy & Trust, in collaboration with Debbie Reynolds of Debbie Reynolds Consulting LLC where were address the burning topics in privacy and trust in the world of digital and tech.

In this special episode, Debbie and Leonard talk about the implications of Microsoft's newly announced Bing search that is front ended by ChatGPT, the now famous generative AI model unleashed the the public as a free service. In response to the fanfare and threat of New Bing, Google shortly there after showcased its Bard generative AI frontend for Google search. Neither Microsoft or Google implementations proved to be accurate or truthful. So what gives? Why are these brands releasing features that are apparently not ready for prime time?

Debbe and Leonard share their perspectives on the risks to users, the hype, and the potential harm themes that regulators should contemplate as they face the inevitable task of addressing responsible AI in an era of degenerative AI.

The metaverse is all the rage in the media today. There isn’t a single “tech company” that is not touting their hand in this thing that is just simply known as the next big thing. The metaverse hype is being pumped with little consideration for the preservation or protection of our identity, persona, or our psyche. As individuals, as communities, as societies we need to understand the implications and the risks. Do we?

Debbie Reynolds, joins Leonard Lee to address the important topic of privacy in the metaverse. We will address the following:

  • What is the metaverse and the metaverse economy?
  • What does the risk to privacy look like in a metaverse?
  • What are some of the privacy regulations to consider?
  • How do you protect yourself in the metaverse?

Some argue that the freemium business models that are largely based on ad-driven revenue streams have had a democratizing effect by allowing seemingly free access to content and services to be enjoyed broadly and globally. For the most part new digital media, software as a service (SaaS) and communications companies that have emerged from the Dotcom era have gone largely unchecked. Debbie Reynolds, “the Digital Diva” joins neXt Curve to discuss privacy in our digital now and future.

We will address the following:

What is privacy and how is it under threat today?
Freemium – Implications of free in exchange for your privacy
GDPR – Protecting consumer and citizen privacy
Privacy First – Restoring and protecting our selves. How?
