Happy 1st anniversary Babblers! As we celebrate doing this Podcast for a year, we reminisce about the fun podcasts, as well as one particular embarrassing one, as we head into to weekend. Furthermore, we babble about motivation, the farmers market and about us taking a small break from Babble Night. We will be back, but we will take a small break and figure out how to bring Babble Night back to you guys. Thank you guys for being part of the journey!
As we approach our first anniversary of Friday Night Babble Night, we take a deep dive into a few topics like using sustainability as a status symbol or how we prefer spending on what we want vs. what we actually need. We're also super pumped to go to the first live football match since the start of the pandemic, as two teams from Zurich meet and we head to the game with friends with fans from both camps.
50 Episodes Babblers, 2 weeks away from our 1 year anniversary. Yay! As Mark is still struggling to shake off a nasty "Post-Master's Cold", we babble about personalities and dealing with negative people in your environment. We hope you enjoy us babbling about psychology stuff.
Hello there Babblers! We celebrate Mark finishing his Master as Layla is finding her feet as she's starting her journey. Also, since the cold weather is creeping in, we embrace the cuisine at this time of the year as Mark has brought some goodies home from the farmers market.
Good evening Babblers! We start this week's episode of Frida< Night Babble Night, trying to establish if a crow has the right of way at a pedestrian crossing, as Mark had a second of confusion. Other than that, Mark is coming to an end with his thesis, while Layla is starting her academic journey. We hope you enjoy.
The first Babble Night at home in a month! Welcome back babble family. After a busy month, podcasting from France, from a tent and the night before Layla's European Championship in Verbier, we are bringing Babble Night to you from our little shack in Zurich again. A typical Babble Night, reminiscing about Layla's Spartan Race, autumn coming around and having a bit more of a relaxed time ahead.

Welcome back guys. After a week's break from the podcast, we share what we've been doing in the meantime as we had our families over from the UK to spend some quality time together. It is also the first time we are recording Babble Night from a tent, after the first attempt in July failed miserably. The week we babble about Layla's amazing achievement, as she made the podium in Morzine, France, in her first Spartan Race in roughly 18 months. We continue about the experience of being back at the races and our first weekend abroad, before we babble about decency as Mark has had an annoying incident this week. Furthermore, we look forward to having our families over for a week, before we head to the southern part of Switzerland for another Staycation.
As Layla is about to take on the first Spartan Race since the start of the pandemic, we babble abroad for the first time since we started our podcast. Coming to you from Morzine, France, we babble about travelling again for the first time in a while, Layla's excitement for her Race and the rest of our week. The WiFi at the hotel, however, had room for improvement, which is why this week's episode is a little late.

As we celebrate our 40th episode, we look back at what has been an amazing birthday weekend for Layla, with all the surprises that her family, friends and Mark had lined up for her. Mark has signed a new deal this week, which will keep him busy for some time, Layla is receiving more gym gear and we will celebrate Switzerland's national day on Sunday, the 1st of August, with some more rain, as we struggle to have a proper summer. Buona sera, dear babblers! It is a big weekend ahead, as we're about to celebrate Layla's 30th birthday. It is also the first time we welcome guest to our show: the surprise visit from Layla's parents Tony & Sue, as we babble about how we made this surprise happen, what it is like to travel in "Covid-Times", as well as their first visit to the farmers market.
Bon soir dear babblers, as we attempted another Staycation (holidays in our country), we babble about how all the signs were there that this time round it wasn't to be another great Staycation. However, we assess the situation and put it into relation with the real problems the storms in central Europe have caused as we record another Episode safe and sound from our home in Zurich.
Bon soir dear babble crew! Before we head out to beautiful Lake Geneva for a one week holiday, we babble about our drama last weekend. As we both received our second vaccination, we were knocked out for about two days and pretty much flat out all weekend. Other than that, Mark finally handed in his thesis, Layla gets to enjoy England playing in the final of the European Football Championships. Layla is being stressed out by her own lists and we talk about whether or not to watch the Olympics in Japan this summer.
Welcome babble crew! It's been an eventful week, with Switzerland beating France in the European Championship (Hopp Schwiiz), England going through against Germany, our new arrival Lizzy the Leon, getting our second jab and Mark finishing up his thesis and Layla going back to school.
it is Friday night and you know what that means! It is a proper ramble about all sorts tonight. From Football (soccer), a day by the river, using a rotisserie and a skillet on the grill, Mark's thesis, to a storm in Zurich, we cover quite a bit of ground in this week's episode. A lot of things happened on this Friday, the 18th of June 2021, as Layla's parents celebrate their wedding anniversary, Mark finds himself a new gig, Layla has a flat tyre but gets a new request for personal training. Furthermore, we babble about the new additions to the household: Betsy the Beast and Lizzy the Leon. ;)

In this week's somewhat different episode, we reminisce about the relationship with grandparents, as we say our goodbyes and celebrate the life of Layla's grandad, who sadly passed away this morning, Friday the 11th of June, 2021. From the dreaded pork chop, to getting locked out of the apartment, to evacuating a department store, we look back at some of the funniest moments we had with our grandparents. We hope you enjoy. ;)

Switzerland is tightening measures with Layla's work effected once again, as the health care system is running at its limit. Covid can apparently also spread through your farts, so be sure to wear underwear and don't come too close to your loved ones. Mark has been to the market once again while trying to make up his mind about the future and Layla keeps helping people get fitter and healthier.

This weekend, we should be in Abu Dhabi for the Spartan World Championship 2020.
