Ask Me Another - Tickets - August 20th, 2014: Sorry for the lack of podcasting last week - but I’m glad I didn’t record one ‘cause now I can put this news on the next episode this coming Thursday: I’m going to be on NPR’s Ask Me Another! If you live in the New York area, I’d love it if you came down to the Bell House in picturesque, Superfunded Gowanus, Brooklyn on Wednesday, August 20th. Tickets are $15 now and $20 at the door the night of the show.

As can easily be determined, the ThursTriv Podcast has been on hiatus since mid-October, and shall be until January 30, 2014. Grad school applications, schoolwork, and a study abroad trip to Florence have all sort of gotten in the way, but come next January I’ll be back on that trivia horse. Thanks for listening.

Kamau Bell, but I’m happy to publicly announce that I will be moderating a 75-minute panel at Macaulay Honors College on Literary Journalism in Soccer on November 13th. My two panelists are Roger Bennett of ESPN FC and Men in Blazers and Grant Wahl of Sports Illustrated.
The event is free for all CUNY students and faculty (no refreshments, I’m sorry) and will be recorded for a future episode of infinitespace. RSVP here.
33: NPR (rerun): Ed. Note: I’m taking this week off from podcasting to focus on the GRE which I’m taking in about a week. New double-length episode on Bridges (and Bridges) in two weeks’ time. For now, in honor of On the Media’s Brooke Gladstone befriending me on Facebook(!), I’m re-running my quiz on NPR from back in June of 2012.
5 questions on NPR. Unfortunately this is probably the most niche episode of the show I’ve done, at least in the post-Soundcloud era of the show. There’s also a bit of “The Golden Age of Sampling” by Kirk Pearson in the teaser for next week’s episode of infinitespace.
