This is the first full chapter of a writing that reads much like the chapters in the book of Psalms, so much so that I wonder if it's the actual first chapter of psalms.

The enemy that had David and his forces on the run is defeated but winning was not so sweet when word gets back to the king.

David reveals more character flaws as he relocates the Arc of the Covenant & Uzxah pays with his life for one wrong move while trying to be helpful.

In what seems like more hypocrisy, David repays the good done by the Philistines (who were among the people who provides him asylum when he was being hunted by his own people led by Saul) with evil by warring against them.

David gets more comfortable with calling shots and executions although his loyalties seem murky.

Treachery leads to unity among the tribes to bring them together under the leadership of David.

The Israelites are divided over who is to succeed Saul.

Jesus warns us to beware of bible thumping hypocrites.

David is distraught at the news of the death of Saul and his soulmate Johnathan.

Saul takes his own life rather than face what the Philistines might have done to him after they defeat his forces in battle.

David and his army have repeatedly plundered surrounding areas but now find themselves plundered. They successfully recover the spoils of war but very quickly begin to turn on each other in what reads as a greedy grab for the goods.

As the Philistines prepare their forces for battle they reject David joining forces with their army, wisely recognizing that in treachery he could turn on them to curry favor with his own people he has sought asylum from.

In desperation Saul enlists the services of a medium to divine answers for him and the path he should take; unfortunately for him, it's grim greetings. 1 Samuel 15: 28 A depiction of a seance that I found entertaining and useful in visualizing what someone being spiritually induced during a seance is A Haunting in Connecticut; as mentioned in this reading. Sadly, there's been yet another mass murder in a LGBT nightclub, and once again the shooter is taken into custody alive (usually a pretty good clue as to the race of the alleged killer). Jesus provides us with some of the elements useful to manifesting the outcomes we seek in prayer.

David sought asylum among the Philistines but continually lied to them about what he was up to the whole time; repaying evil for good but going uncondemned by the religion of the Old Testament.

David spares Saul again and they have another truce.

David threatens war when he's denied what he feels entitled to though it belongs to someone else. He also adds to his collection of wives, proving that once again Bible thumpers get it wrong when they say things like marriage is supposed to be one man and one woman by biblical standards.

David has a chance to kill his enemy, Saul, but instead spares his life, then publicly announces how righteous he was in doing so; contrary to the 'eye for an eye' doctrine previously given.

In hot pursuit of David, Saul hunts him and his army through the mountains trying to break the prophecy of Samuel, that a successor to the throne he sits on is already chosen & emerging.

Jesus sets the example for our Christian walk in word, deed, and interaction with people humble enough to seek Him.

David lied to get help while on the run and the priest who helped him pays the price.

David breaks religious laws and ordinances but accomplishes big picture goals in doing so.

For all the anti LGBT sentiment Bible thumpers spew they are proven wrong again about same sex relations in the Bible, even among the patriarchs.

Saul gets naked and is induced to prophecy.

David is challenged to handle 100 penises to marry the king's daughter and instead he handles 200 Philistine penises to rise to the occasion!

Jesus Himself tells us of the reward that awaits those who do something as seemingly insignificant as giving a cup of water to those seeking it, yet Bible thumpers once again prove themselves to be a nation, anti Christ, that suppresses the vote of the least among us and even makes it illegal to give them water while they wait in ridiculously long lines to vote; lines you NEVER see in affluent White neighborhoods.

Saul, the king, seems to have dementia as he witnesses the battle victory of David over Goliath the giant.

David is chosen as Saul's replacement as king and begins as Saul's beloved musician and armor bearer.

People in pride often embrace an approach of a life with ''no regrets" yet we read how once again God has regrets about humanity.

Saul rashly harasses and wars with the nations around him and even endeavors to kill his son for breaking a vow he wasn't even aware of...

What in the world is worth trading your soul salvation for?? In America, for many people Black and White, it's often white supremacy but whatever deal you make with the Devil has a price; it's NEVER a bargain!

Once again we see a well intended animal sacrifice be considered an offense and a sin to the point that it causes an instant rejection from on High.

Seemingly inconsistent, the people are now rebuked for choosing to have king over them rather than be guided by God.

Though the people rejected Theocracy they seem to still have God's favor in war.

The congregation seek to turn the tide of events in their favor so they repent and cease worship of other deities they had been worshipping.

Jesus makes it clear that, "There is NOTHING that enters a man from outside which can defile him"; He's clearly not just referring to food so what else could He mean?? 🤔

Super strong Samson and his family are introduced in this chapter. His birth announced by an angel with special instructions for his diet and lifestyle before he’s even born. Her husband seems to reflect on when Moses has a divine encounter in Exodus 33: 20 about seeing the face of the Lord carrying a death sentence with it.

In one of the most outlandish displays of patriarchy, a virgin female is used as a bargaining chip by her father with God in exchange for victory in battle & then offered as a human sacrifice!

This is a short chapter reviewing others who rose to power and died after the era of Moses & Joshua.

Deborah gives praise for the victory achieved I. Judges ch 4.

A female prophetess, Deborah, instructs the soldiers into the battle and accurately foretells of another woman, Jael an in-law descendant of Cain, being the ultimate warrior & victor in the battle.

The 1/10 portion of the Bible that is true Christianity shouldn’t be forced into conforming to the other religions represented in the other books that make up the majority of the Bible.

Unfaithfulness to their religion is blamed for the congregation entering into a period of wars with the nations that went undefeated during the Moses and Joshua eras of leadership.

The narrator of the Book of Judges attributes the tribulations and defeats the congregation encounters to religious unfaithfulness, idolatry.

The congregation encounters people who occupied the areas of what we now call “the Holy Land” and although we’ve read that they were promised sweeping victories over the inhabitants, with the “Lord” clearing the way before them, we see that was NOT the case.

Jesus begins His ministry in earnest w the gathering of the disciples and a message emphasizing repentance and faith.

The last of the generation that experienced the exodus from enslavement in Africa to enslaving others and the “Promised Land” passes away, including Joshua and Eleazar.

Joshua warns the congregation to stay faithful and to not fall into idolatry by mixing with the nations they’ve conquered.

War is narrowly avoided when the congregation is divided over a newly erected altar.

The Levites are repeatedly told they’ll receive no inheritance as the other tribes did because their portion is the offerings that all the other tribes are instructed to give. Yet, this chapter makes it clear that the Levites also received property to boot!

Colonizing the Promised Land violates 3 of the Big 10 Commandments, so why would the Lord order people to do so?? 🤔

The death penalty was explicitly forbidden when Cain killed Abel in Genesis, even though modern-day Bible-thumpers embrace the idea. Upon conquering the Promised Land the congregation is instructed to appoint entire cities of refuge for those guilty of manslaughter so they avoid the death penalty as murderers.

The rest of the tribes receive their portion of the Promised Land.

Jesus makes it clear that what should be going forth into all the world by evangelicals is observance of all things He has commanded, yet modern times reveal a generation of a Bible-thumping den of thieves with get rich schemes.

Just as when Moses appointed judges to help manage the legal issues of the people without first consulting God, Joshua (the new human leader of the congregation) is deceived into making a peace treaty with some of the inhabitants of the Promised Land.

Jesus is condemned & crucified, and his body buried & put under guard.

Jesus lays out events to take note of that signify pivotal moments in world history and humanity’s future & finality.

Morality is not a constant unchanging thing and the efforts of Rahab, the “working girl” are an example of that fact.

Just as some statues previously given were labeled as “forever” and yet have been lost to time, the people are now commanded to set up memorials as reference points “forever” yet also seem to be lost to time, or perhaps covetousness.

The congregation is treated to a supernatural crossing of the Jordan River to enter the “Promised Land”.

Once the “promised land” is occupied and colonized the tithes are to be offered and the ritual declaration of the land being given to the people by God is to be proclaimed.

Deuteronomy Chapter24 JUST declared children aren’t to be put to death for their parents sins, yet this chapter demands genocide for the descendants of a previous generation’s offenses; as inconsistent as ever.

Jesus draws a distinction between how people caught in adultery should be punished and it’s a stark contrast to what’s required in the Old Testament.

One of the first clear examples of a prophecy that Jesus will come and bring the Red Letters to us.

Choices and consequences

Could it be that people focus on LGBT condemnation most because they wrestle with their own desires and tendencies toward interest in the LGB and ESPECIALLY T community and the sex practices thereof?

Just like that 40 years have passed and just like the punishment declared, only the faithful and the young survived.

The required burnt offerings are issued to the congregation which consists of a whole new youthful generation of people.

It was little White children who died during Sandy Hook & Columbine; don’t expect much action when Uvalde happened. Instead there’s projection about violence in Chicago. The same thing will likely be done about guns as it’s done about things known to kill and burden the health of society by allowing companies, legacy American monopolies to still sell packs of cancer sticks enhanced to be more addictive, toxic, and deadly; just about nothing.
