Main Idea

In order to live as people with a purpose, we MUST be a people committed to making disciples. In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus gives the great commission to make disciples. This is the primary purpose of the church. That is why our mission statement is...we exist to multiply disciples and churches.

The goal of this week is to grow as a disciple of Jesus who is seeking to make disciples of Jesus.

Main Idea

In order to live as a people with a purpose, we MUST be a people who serve God and each other. The Christian life is centered around a Savior who served by laying down His life as a ransom for our sin. Therefore, Christian serving doesn’t earn God’s love, it’s a response to His love. The goal of this week is to see that God’s heart is for ALL Christians to serve and that 100% of our church would be committed to serving God and others.

Personal Challenge

Daily Prayer: - Monday: Read Mark 10:42-45. Use your journal and SOAP. How does Jesus giving His life as a ransom for us move us to serve others? - Tuesday: Read Romans 12:3-8. Pray that our church would be a people where everyone uses their gifts as one unified body. - Wednesday: Attend the Open House & Prayer night TONIGHT at 7pm. Pray with your serving team or find one to join! (833 South Taft Hill Road) - Thursday: Read Ephesians 4:15-16. Use your journal and SOAP. What does this passage say is the result of each part (person) of the body contributing? - Friday: Read 1 Peter 4:10-11. Pray that God would allow you to serve out of the strength that He supplies. - Saturday: Read John 13:12-17. Use your journal and SOAP. What do Jesus’ words show you about God? About how Christians should live? - Sunday: Reminder! Gathering TODAY at 9:30 am! If you haven’t joined a serving team, sign up at the connection table today.

Main Idea

In order to live as people with a purpose, we MUST be a people committed to each other. God is a communal God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and created us to live in community. The Christian life is not an independent private religion, but a personal relationship with Christ lived out in a spiritual family. A spiritual family is authentic, loving, and lives on mission for Jesus. The goal of this week is to practice living in Biblical community through City Groups and Huddles.

Personal Challenge

Daily Prayer: - Monday: Read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. Meditate on this verse and why it is so important to belong to a spiritual family. Make plans to attend a City Group. - Tuesday: Read Acts 2:42-47. Use your journal and SOAP. What are the primary characteristics of Christian community you see in the early church? - Wednesday: Read James 5:16. Confess any known sin to God and take time today to confess your sin to another. Ask the other person to pray for you. - Thursday: Read 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15. Pray for and use your words to encourage 1-2 people today. - Friday: Read Ephesians 4:1-3. Pray that we would be unified - that City Groups and Huddles would experience unity and our whole church would be unified around Jesus. - Saturday: Read John 13:35. Use your journal and SOAP through this verse. Write down the verse, an observation, an application, and a short prayer. - Sunday: Read Hebrews 10:24. Consider how you are living on mission and invite others to live on mission with you. Pray for and invite your ONE to our public launch.

Main Idea

In order to live as people with a purpose, we MUST be a people committed to God’s Word. The Bible is God’s inspired Word, written by ordinary men who were inspired through the Holy Spirit. It contains all that we need for life and godliness. It is inerrant, infallible, and authoritative. As a church, it informs everything we do in preaching, City Groups, huddles, and the purposes God created us for. The goal of this week is to grow in God’s Word.

Personal Challenge

Daily Prayer: - Monday: Read 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Thank God that He speaks through His Word. Pray this week that you would be shaped by His Word. - Tuesday: Read Colossians 3:16. Use your journal and SOAP through this verse. Write down the verse, an observation, an application, and a short prayer. - Wednesday: Read Psalm 1. Delight in God’s Word by memorizing Psalm 1:1-2 by the end of the day. - Thursday: Read Hebrews 4:12. Use your journal and SOAP through this verse. Write down the verse, an observation, an application, and a short prayer. - Friday: Read Psalm 119:9-11. Confess any way you’ve wandered from God’s commandments. Recite Psalm 1:1-2 from memory. - Saturday: Read John 17:17. Jesus prayed that we would be sanctified (set apart/made holy) in truth. Pray for growth as you commit to God’s Word. - Sunday: Read Romans 10:14-17. Use your journal and SOAP through this verse. Continue to pray about your ONE? Who is your ONE you will pray for and invite to our public launch?

City Group Focus

Main Idea

In order to live as a people with a purpose, we MUST be a people of prayer! Pastor Tim Keller says that prayer is both “seeking personal communion with God and seeking the advance of his kingdom in our hearts and in the world... prayer is both conversation and encounter with God.” Prayer allows us to connect with God and align our hearts with His Kingdom. The goal of this week is to grow in our prayer life.

Personal Challenge

Daily Prayer: - Monday: Read Matthew 6:7-13. Thank God that He is your Heavenly Father and pray that His Kingdom will come and His will be done. - Tuesday: Read Ephesian 3:14-20. Pray over your week! Thank God for His presence and invite Him to empower you by His Spirit for the week ahead. - Wednesday: Read 1 Timothy 2:1-4. Pray for the lost in our community that don’t know Jesus. - Thursday: Read Psalm 67. Pray for the nations and for an international partnership! Pray that God would give us a city to focus on. - Friday: Read Ephesians 6:18. Pray for the church: leadership, those in your City Group and Huddles, for unity, protection and provision. - Saturday: Read Luke 15:4. Pray for the public launch on April 4th... that many lost people would come and respond to the Gospel. That Christians who are disconnected from the body would be catalyzed for the mission of God. - Sunday: Read 1 John 1:9. Confess any known sin and praise God for who he is and the forgiveness he freely gives.

Every Day: Set your alarm on your phone for 10:02 a.m. and when it goes off take time to pray for God to raise up laborers for His Kingdom! (Luke 10:2)
