Gday Hive.
I was just going through some old video edits that I never finished and I finally found some time to finish off this video.
Right 2 Roll number 2 went down in 2004
Right 2 Roll was a real street rollerblading competition I would hold every year in Brisbane Australia.
The best rollerbladers in Australia would come to Brisbane to claim the streets and battle it out.
One person would walk away victorious with the cash prize and infamous Right 2 Roll belt.
These comps sure did get CRAZY!
So many big tricks went down at this one. Starting the day off at a 8 stair down rail.
Which is situated along the Brisbane river. This rail was perfect to session.
Next spot is where things got a bit wild. started off with a 10 stair down ledge
Then a 14 stair drop ledge was the third spot.
This ledge was no joke. there is a 2 story drop on the other side so if you miss judge the ledge you have along fall down.
Luckily no one fell over the edge, but it did come close.
So many amazing tricks went down on this ledge. Some have been etched into Brisbane Rollerblading folklore.
When people started to spin to grind on this ledge that was when I had to call it and move onto the next spot be for someone got injured.
The fourth spot was a Brisbane classic street spot the Roma Street toilet block ledge.
This curve ledge is so much fun, but also a bit trick to master. Which made for a good session.
The only problem is that the landing goes straight onto a main road so we had people lining the footpath to catch the skaters so they didn’t get hit by a car.
The final spot was the dental kink.
This kink rail is so fast and steep. any grind on this rail could be an ender for your video section so why not see who has the best trick on it haha.
Another crazy session in the books here! And defiantly one of the best tricks in Brisbane went down on this rail which would have to be Justin Buchanan's rail to rail hop and then backed it up with a kind grind down the rail!! This session went down in the Brisbane history books!
In the end JB took home first place and no one was badly injured.
It is VC Clothing’s 25th anniversary and to celebrate I will finish off all the video edits from over the years so stay tuned for the next Right 2 Roll

I would like to share with you a video I put together from our day trip to Moreton Island in Brisbane Queensland Australia.
We are so lucky to have this beautiful paradise island on our doorstep!
Only a forty-five-minute boat ride from Brisbane until you are on the white sandy beaches of Brisbanes best kept secret.
Moreton Island is also home to the Ngaliema wrecks.
The Ngaliema wrecks is the final resting place for 15 vessels which have been deliberately sunk to create a break wall for the island.
But it is also such an amazing and unique place to snorkel!!
It is home to so many reef fish, and it's so cool to snorkel among the rusting wrecks surrounded by fish.
Just try not to touch the ships as the rusty metal cuts you very easy.
This was my sons first time to Moreton, and he absolutely loves the beach!
We had such a great time with the family!
Also when your walking along the beach always keep an eye out for starfish along the shore line.

Join me as I on the take you on a walk around Reef World on the Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsundays, Queensland, Australia.
Here you can enjoy snorkeling or scuba diving at the reef and also sleeping under the stars on the Great Barrier Reef at the REEF SLEEP.
Reef World is located at Hardy Reef, 39 nautical miles from Airlie beach. And staying the night here is just amazing!
Once the day trip guests have left in the afternoon you have the entire place to the small group that is staying the night. So you can swim and snorkel to your hearts content.
All the food is prepared by an on board chef and I have to say the food is amazing! Its all inclusive so the beers were flowing after snorkeling was done for the day.
Snorkeling along the reef is one of my favorite things to do! The colours of the coral and so many fish species. You will even come across a green sea turtle or two while out snorkeling. Which is always fun to swim along side them.

Check out this close encounter we had with a humpback whale breaching off the coast of Moreton Island in Australia.
It is coming to the end of the Humpback whale migration here on the east coast of Australia.
And while we were out fishing the other week we got front row tickets to this pod of whales playing in the bay!!
I have to say being in a small boat and these huge animals launching themself out of the water right infront of us was a bit intimidating. But WOW what a sight to see.

I would like to share with you my first video edit that I have made with some footage I shot on my DJI mini 2 drone.
I have never edited drone footage before so this was a fun project.
While I was visiting Stradbroke Island in Queensland Australia, it was the middle of the humpback whale migration so I was super excited to capture some footage with my drone.
We found a nice spot at Point Lookout at the North Gorge to see if any whales would come close to shore, as we could see lots of whales breaching and playing in the distance.
After an hour of waiting, I spotted a whale coming close to shore. I launched my drone up with the quickness and to my suprise the whale had a baby calf with her.
This calf was still a bit white so it must have been born in the last couple of days. Humpback whlaes start off very light in colour then they get dark as the grow older. So I'm not sure if this was one of those rare white whales or if it was a fresh new born calf.
I followed them for a bit then someone else flew thier drone out and was being pretty reckless with thier flying so I decided I got enough clips and brought my drone back.
I sent the drone back up to get some landscape shots of the North Gorge, and also found a pod of dolphins playing. Also a turtle and a mantaray.
Man Stradbroke Island is amazing!!
Now that I had captured all these shots I finally had time to go through it all and put together this edit.
I cut up some panning shots and and there is no audio on my drone so I found a sound effect of a whale breathing when it surfaced and cut that into the edit. I think it worked pretty cool :)

We recently had the opportunity to spend 5 nights at one of our bucket list destinations.... THE MALDIVES!!
So join me as I take a relaxing early morning walk around the island.
Starting from our over water villa, and make my way around the island via the beach then back to our villa.
On the way I spot some baby sharks in the water shallows, and pick up a hermit crab to say good morning to.
Brennia Kottefaru is a lil slice of paradise with turquoise water and white sandy beaches.

I would like to share with you a little clip from the first time I tried water skiing.
We spent a couple of nights down in Nambucca Heads in NSW and at the air BnB we stayed at, the owner was a super keen water skier.
He offered to take us out on the Nambucca river to give it a go, and we jumped at the opertunity!
I had never tried this befor and with my history of skating, in theory this should be a very similar balance point.
None the less after 2 goes to get my head around standing up and finding my balance I was standing up and crossing the wake at the back of the boat.
Super fun day on the river. I will share some photos soon with you all :)

How's it going Hive?
So last weekend we had a day trip out on the beautiful Bribie Island beach in Queensland Australia.
Now the track out to the beach at Bribie , the sand can get a very soft, which is why it is crucial to let your tyer pressure down on your 4x4 when ever you are driving on the beach.
So you dont get bogged and stuck. But alot of people never let their tyres down and eventualy get bogged and completely stuck, where they will need help getting dug out or towed out with a snatch strap. And when someone gets stuck right in the middle of the enterance and exit track, it cause all kinds of problems for everyone at the beach like this day.
I flew my drone up to see what the hold up was and yep you guessed it, someone got stuck in the middle of the track which caused this huge straffic jam on the beach. The tide was coming in and we needed to get our cars of the beach befor there was no beach left. .
Luckily everyone was very helpfull and got them out in the nick of time, and we made it off the beach just in time befor the tide came in.

We were lucky enough to sit and watch these baby mountain gorillas playing in Uganda.
If you like hiking, and super close encounters with wildlife, then I would definitely recommend doing a gorilla trek in Uganda!
It was such an amazing experience to hang out with these gorillas in their natural habitat.
But it was no easy feat to find these guys. We trekked through the Bwindi forest for 2 hours, up and down mountains as our guide hacked away a path with a machete.
We were hot, sweaty and getting tired but it was all worth it when we finally found this gorilla family deep in the forest.

I'm taking you back to 2004..
After digging through the VC vault and blowing dust off all the tapes... As well as many lost edits in the making...I finally bring to you...
Right to Roll 1 - Real Street competition !!!
R2R 1 went down on the 17th of August 2004 in Brisbane Australia.
With Paul Williams taking home the belt.
What is Right 2 Roll I hear you ask??
Well Australias best rollerbladers gathered in Brisbane city to reclaim the streets.
... And to battle it out for the Right 2 Roll!
With cash prizes up for grabs and the best skater on the day received the most prestigious trophy in Australian rollerblading history.. The R2R belt!
We would move around the city to Brisbane's best street spots including ledges, rails and gaps. When we would get kicked out by security we'd then move onto the next spot.
During this comp we had a little bit of rain so we had to come up with some undercover spots while the ground dried up. but these spots turned out to be an amazing session!
All in all it was a super rad day!

I would like to share with you a little video I put together from our time snorkeling at the most southern part of the Great Barrier Reef at Lady Musgrave Island.
Lady Musgrave Island is an hour and a half boat ride out to the island from a little town called 1770 in Queensland Australia.
When ever you head out to the great barrier Reef you are always in for a great day as you never know what you will see under the sea :)
And on this trip we sure were in for a treat.!
The sky was overcast as cyclone Seth was forming but that made for the perfect time to see the coral as it is more vibrant in colour when it is overcast instead of sunny.
The water temprature was just perfect ! and not long after we dove in heading towards the reef, we immediatly spotted a sting ray followed by a reef shark :)
We swam around the bommies which are clusters of coral near the reef wall, these bommies are full of little fish and some larger fish that come and feed here.
Then all of a sudden we spotted our first green turtle!!!
There was two green turtles chilling in the coral so I dove down for a closer look. Then one of them headed up to the surface with me. It was such a surreal experience swiming along side these beautiful turtles!
As we hang out the turtle decided it was time for a feed and started graving on the jelly fish as she swam along.
It was a day at the reef I will never forget!

It was such a cool experiance to swim along side these green sea turtles while they cruised along eating comb jellyfish.
We did a day trip out to Lady Musgrave Island from 1770 in Queensland Australia.
Lady Musgrave island is at the south of the Great Barrier Reef and is full of sea life.
Seeing turtles at the reef is always an awesome experiance! and I have never seen turtles hunt jellyfish before.
These comb jellyfish don't have any stingers and are like a snack to the turtles.
I filmed this on my Yi 4k action camera.

Now seeing sharks mating is a very rare occurrence.
While we were snorkelling at Magnetic Island just off the coast of Townsville in Australia.
@terrybogan spotted some movement on the ocean floor. At a closer look it was actually two Epaulette sharks making love.
At first it looked like they were fighting, but by biting each other is the only way they can get some grip, and it is actually the female that starts biting first, then the male will bite the pectoral fin of the female with his mouth and lies alongside her for the grip, to get a claspers in.
Now I have never seen an Epaulette shark before so this was a great moment to witness.
Female Epaulette will lay around 20–50 eggs per year. It takes 120 -130 days for them to hatch.
Male and female reach their sexual maturity around seven years old.
It was very interesting to watch. Nature sure is awesome!

While staying at Norfolk Island, Every day when the fishing boats would return to the pier. These Bronze whaler sharks would arrive.
The fishermen would fillet the fish and throw the fish frames into the water.
So these sharks would get a free feed.
It was so crazy to watch as these shark in a feeding frenzy!
As we watched from above I thought to myself.. How cool would it be to get my gopro into the water to see what’s going on down there?
As it was too dangerous to get into the water with these sharks while they were feeding.
I thought I could sticky tape my camera to a broom stick and hang of the pier and put the camera in the water to see what’s going on down there.
We the end result turned out way better then I expected!
The sharks were super curious and would come straight up to the camera. Which was pretty crazy as some of these sharks were 3 meters long and some came about half a meter from me while I was getting these videos!
I have never been this close to a shark before it was definitely a good way to get the heart pumping! haha

This transfer is no joke! The amount of speed you need to clear this gap is crazy. Let alone doing a flat 3 over the gap I especialy from the big quarter to small quarter, so much could go wrong. And thats why Adam won the best trick~!

As some of you might have seen my blog about the crystal pool at Norfolk Island, here is a little video I put together.

Now the best part of Norfolk Island is there is never anyone around so you can explore freely. But if you get hurt it will be a bit tricky to get some help.
Especially when visiting the crystal pool. It is a steep decent down the hill to get to the ocean edge, then a quick scurry across the rocks and you will find this crystal clear rock pool.
It is the perfect spot for a swim and relax before the waves come crashing through.
You must only head down here at low tide as the waves get extremely dangerous and will wash you out of the pool and out to sea.
The pools are full of fish and coral, just watch out for the spiky sea urchins!
It's the perfect spot to float and relax 😊

I was just going back over a video I edited from our time in Uganda.
And thought why not try a different song over the same video to see if it would give a different feel to the footage.
We visited Uganda at the start of 2020 just befor the pandemic took over the world and changed our life as we know it.
Now this gorilla trek has always been high on my bujcket list and it sure did not disapoint!
It was so cool to hang out with these wild gorillas! they didnt mind us being there at all.
The babys were playing in the trees and the silver back was keeping the family in check.
Such a crazy experience to have hiked for two hours through the Bwindi jungle, then all of a sudden we are chilling with these guys.
The babys would brush straight past us. we were so close to them!

I would like to share a video I put together from an unforgettable day in South Australia.
We were staying in Port Lincoln and booked a tour that will take us out to Blythe Island to snorkel with wild sealions.
These guys are like the puppies of the sea they are so cute and friendly.
The water was freezing but we had wetsuits on so it didn't take long to get used to the cold. But when I jumped into the water it sure did take my breath away haha.
It was so much fun swimming along side these wild seals. Diving down and flipping around it was the best!!
If you ever find yourself in Port Lincoln south Australia I highly recommend you go swimming with the sea lions! You will not be disappointed!

The other week while we were out fishing in Morton Bay, this wild dolphin came straight upto our boat!
I noticed a dark shadow approching the boat then this guy poped his head up out of the water right next to our boat haha.
I quickly grabbed my gopro and he kept coming back to us!
It was so cool!!
Rick got some bait and tgried to hand feed him but I think this guy prefers fresh fish instead of frozen fish.
It was like he was just stoping past to say hello then he was off on his merry way.
What an incredible experiance !

Yes thats right guys just as the title states jumping crocodiles is just as scary as it sounds haha.
Check out this video I put together from the jumping crocodile cruise we went on,
Down the Adelaide river in the Northern Territory.
I have never been face to face with these huge beasts in the wild.
As they swam up to the boat and sized it up the size of these guys is mindblowing.
The tour guild would dangle some water buffalo of a stick to entice the crocs to jump up.
Its crazy how high up they can propel their bodies out of the water!.
And the fact that they havent landed inside the boat is amazing cause that would be
catastophic!

So I have finally got around to making a video edit from outr unbelivable experiance cage diving with a great white shark at the Neptune islands in South Australia.
This has been on my buckjet list for many years and this was our 3rd time out in hope to see a great white. As the first 2 times we didnt have any luck, so we had to come back.
And what do you know, 3rd times a charm and we got to see 3 different white sharks on this day.
It was the middle of winter and the water was freezing! All I can say is good thing we had wetsuits on. But the moment we spotted a shark the cold was the least of our worries.. We got into the cage with the quickness to witness an apex predator of the sea with our own eyes.
And WOW were we in for an unforgetable day!.
When inside the cage the only sound you can hear is the bubbles from our regulaotrs and the cage bumping up against the boat. Berley is dumped in from above and the trevally go nuts eating it. Our heads are on a swivel as we look around in search of a great white.
All of sudden, off in the distance a huge shape apears... At first I thought it was a king fish but then the other king fish looked tiny compared to this beast!
He did a couple of laps passed the cage then disapppeared.
Then from the blurry depths this 4.5 meter monster came straight up to the bait at full speed and launched out of the water!
Wow what a sight!!
He lands back into the water on his back and slowly sinks down.
It was so crazy to watch as it is dead silent,then all of a sudden the trevally all swim off in different dirtections as the shark torpedos himself to the surface.

I thought a metal cover of the jaws theme song was very suitable track for the video.
I highly recomend adding cage diving to your bucket list.

Have you ever wanted to come face to face with a saltwater crocodile and live to tell the tale??
We we had that opportunity while on a holiday in the Northern Territory In Australia.
Darwin is home to Australia's apex predator the Saltwater crocodile!
At Crocosaurus Cove in the hart of Darwin city you can get inside a cage and swim with these huge crocodiles and they even feed them while your in the cage!!
It's so crazy how close and personal they get to the cage while feeding, i'm glad that we had a 4cm thick acrylic sheet between us haha.
I would never get this close to one in the wild that's for sure!!

How's it going 3SPEAK and HIVE??
I hope everyone is safe and well in these crazy times.
In January this year before the world turned upside down, we got to do a trek for the mountain gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest in Uganda.
I have finally had a chance to put together this video from our trek were we got to meet king kong and his family out in the wild.
The trek took us about one and a half hours making our way through the impenetrable forest, slipping and sliding all the way.
Our legs were hurting and it was super hot but we pushed on until we were face to face with this wild gorilla family.
It was incredible how close we got to these wild animals just chilling getting about their everyday gorilla business :)
The babys were playing as their mother was keeping them in check. The younger orillas were climbing the trees and throwing berrys down at the silverback gorilla just like kids playing it was so cool to watch !
This sure was an experience I will never forget!

So while we were on a stop over in Abu Dhabi for a day flying from Jordan back to Australia, we tried to work out what to do.
We found this place called Ferrari World. Not only does this place have the world's fastest roller coaster and the world's largest roller coaster loop. But you can also take out a California T Ferrari for a spin on the streets around Ferrari World.
I have always wanted to try out a sports car and see how similar the power is to my motorbike.
So having a go at test driving this 3.9L, twin turbo V8 with 0 - 100 km/h in 3.6 sec this is going to be fun!

While on a holiday in Japan we came across this photo of the Okama Crater in a brochure while waiting in line to get our JR pass for the train in Tokyo.
So when we got to our hotel we did some research and worked out that we can use our JR pass to get to Kaminoyama Onsen which is near where the crater is located.
Once we arrived to the Kaminoyama Onsen train station we found out that there is a free shuttle bus that leaves the train station that will take you up to the top of Mt Zao.
We Jumped onto the bus and headed to the top of mount Zao. As we started to get higher up the mountain we passed large lumps of ice on the side of the road. I was only wearing shirts and a tshirt haha I was didnt expect it to be cold out here as it has been so hot in Tokyo!
Once we got to the top of Mt Zao there was a ski lift to take us all the way to the top. Before we know it we are high above the clouds.
A short work and there it is... We are looking down on the Okama Crater. What a sight!
It was definitely worth the mission up here!
