About Dr. Karen Smith:
Dr. Karen Smith lives in Wheaton, IL, with her husband, and this August, they will celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary. Together, they have three children whom she homeschooled from kindergarten through high school: Sara, who will graduate this May with a degree in Accounting and Finance, Hannah, who holds an associate’s degree in Animation and TV Production, and Jonathan, who is in his first year of college studying Engineering.
As an Author and Life Coach, Dr. Smith has self-published eight books and is passionate about helping others deepen their relationship with God. She loves spending time outdoors, crafting, card-making, and scrapbooking. Her favorite book is Desiring God, and her favorite theologian is Jonathan Edwards. One of her guiding scriptures is Ephesians 2:8-9.

Luke 1:37 in the NKJV says:
For with God nothing will be impossible.
What happens when you read that? Do the warning signals roar, or does your heart yearn for it to be true? Maybe both.
Because in our Christian tradition, it almost seems unholy to believe in impossibilities. It feels selfish to want more than we have, or desire to be more than we are.
This is when we need to be the like the father of the boy thrown into the fire by the demonic spirit in Mark 9:24:
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
Where in your life is the Lord asking you to wake up and believe? And to go beyond the believing to the walking it out?
Is it a relationship challenge? Or a financial setback? How about a physical battle? Perhaps mental or emotional turmoil?
As long as we say "this is the way it's always been, so it's the way it will always be" we relegate ourselves to the realm of the problem.
But when we allow the SUPER of God to come and touch our NATURAL - anything is possible.

Revelation is a catalyst that comes to shake the foundations of our belief. It shifts our perception of identity and purpose. We have only two choices. Accept it as truth or reject it as invalid. It holds up our barriers to breakthrough to the light of truth.
Here is the beautiful thing about revelation... it uncovers. It opens up to show the heart. Like a flower blooming. Or that steamy, flaky biscuit. Or the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Revelation and breakthrough are like that. To coin a phrase from The Chosen, I was one way, and now I am another.
Each area of our life screams for growth, expansion and more freedom. The enemy tells us freedom is one thing. The Lord proves it is another.
When REVELATION occurs, we see the core reason we believe what we believe - and - how it is affecting us.

Negative thinking infiltrates every part of life. Those thoughts are straight up poison, ready to destroy you.

Align Your Dreams with God's PurposeWhat do you think of when you read 2 Timothy 1: 9 and a portion of vs 8 - God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began?
Are you confident that you KNOW God has called you with a holy calling?
And scripture emphasizes this when it tells us about God calling Jeremiah in chapter 1 verse 5: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.
The first step in aligning our dreams with God's purpose for our life involves understanding He actually knows us and has a purpose for us. Then we must let go of our preconceived ideas of what life "should" look like. And it isn't just a onetime surrender, but a daily laying down of the lure of the world's offerings to our carnal nature.
On a side note, I once hear a minister say they did some rough calculating about the number of the grains of sand. It was over 1,000,000 grains of sand for EACH person. Think of it! Today, the thoughts God had toward you numbered close to a MILLION!

Gratitude is so much more than just saying thank you.
When we truly understand the command to "be thankful in all things, for this is the will of God concerning you, in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18), we will never look at gratitude the same way.
You see, the enemy of our souls wants to steal our thanksgiving. He wants to turn our words into worship for himself (John 10).
But our commitment to worship the Lord, to be thankful, and grateful to Him in EVERY circumstance, takes those words and turns them into a holy weapon.

We live in a world screaming for identity.
In a society more connected by social media than ever before, people feel less seen, less heard, and less loved.
My personal belief is that it's because identity-driven statements and observations today are external statements trying to represent internal battles. Without an internal compass to help guide you, it's easy to get off track.
Our world has lost its core identity of being created by God. The one true God. The Genesis 1:27 God who says, "So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them." New Living Translation
And until we anchor ourselves into that abiding truth, we never discover peace, or rest, or harmony in a world screaming to be heard.

She is married with a blended family, a biological daughter, her husband's two biological children, and two nieces.
