As a manager, almost everything you do will have the potential to trigger conflict. You have to make decisions that not everyone is going to like and you can only do that if you get comfortable with conflict.

Remember this, You are Now a Leader, not everyone is going to like you. But that's okay.

Leadership is about people, but if you need people to lead, then you will not be an effective leader. This is what I call "The People Paradox" in Leadership .

In the end, what matters is making a positive difference in the lives of those we lead. People may forget what we say or do, but they will most likely never forget how we made them feel. As leaders heavy is the crown. Purpose to be better than we were yesterday, and always remember this, progress over perfection.   How do leaders Connect, and lead with empathy?  Common Ground: Keep it Simple: Appeal to and Capture people’s interests: Stay Authentic in all your relationships.

Your role as a leader, is not to come up with all the great ideas or have all the answers. It is to ensure that you create an environment where great ideas can happen.

By having the humility to Listen, Learning (and Unlearn) you will be able to provide inclusive Leadership which will ensure you don’t end up as a lone hiker.

Humility is not about diminishing our strengths or denying them, but about being honest about and owning your weaknesses, more so as a leader.
