CANNABMED 2018 busca enriquecer la conversación sobre la regulación del cannabis medicinal y dar visibilidad a las preocupaciones y demandas del colectivo afectado.
Albert Estrada has a Degree in medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He works as a cannabis adviser in the reduction of risks and attention to therapeutic users in the field of cannabis associations.
Mariano García de Palau works at Kalappa Clinic where he advises on the therapeutic use of cannabinoids to patients. In this presentation he shares his vision and opinion about the challenges of advising medical cannabis in Spain.
Mariano Baffi works as a doctor in the public health service, and in his presentation he shared his perspective providing palliative treatments, where the use of cannabis can be contemplated as a compassionate medicine.

Celia Morgan, current professor at Exeter University, has dedicated her research to the positive and negative effects of drugs on the human brain and cognition. In her presentation she focused on CBD and eschizophrenia.
Stefan Meyer is Director at Research Phytoplant S.L. Over years he has studied the different therapeutic actions of cannabinoids, in order to design safe products that are rich in cannabis, for the pharmaceutical, nutritional and dermo-cosmetic sector.
Hari Bhathal is an expert in the study of epilepsy, currently Director at Neurocenter Barcelona. In his presentation he talks about the CBD as a new antiepileptic in children suffering epileptic encephalopathies.
Jose Carlos Bouso, Scientific Director at ICEERS, offered useful conclusions and updates after a review of the available scientific literature on CBD.
Rocio Giron, PhD in Pharmacology by the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, talks about the potential of cannabinoid in the treatment of chronic pain.
