Biology is the study of life, but it doesn't just have to be about memorizing and rehearsing facts--that takes the wonder out of it. In this podcast we're going to approach biology like we approached the world as children: full of curiosity. We're going to ask questions that won't always be answered and learn about our own lives along the way. Together we're going to become leaders, problem solvers, and lifelong learners. It's time to start thinking about biology differently. Welcome to your new classroom.
This is a crash course in genetics. Together we build our vocabulary so we can deepen our understanding about how populations evolve through genetic processes. Pretty exciting, don't you think?

Most people think writing works like this: you have a thought, then you write it down.
But actually, writing is a process of discovery. When we start writing, we start thinking, and when we start thinking, we start asking better questions. The more we do this, the more we learn, and the more effectively we begin to act in the world. This all comes from writing.
Scientific journalling isn't a well-established discipline. I think it should be. I'm hoping my students will agree with me, too.
